It's quite scary as I've had a recent heart condition. Luckily, the heart specialist gave me the all-clear. We're staying at Laurelton but needed to charge the EV close by. Thanks, Husky_, for the cache and the new log. Best wishes from Adelaide.
#2667A quick park and grab between rain bombs!!!! During my return road trip to Sydney after broadcasting the NRL in Coffs.TFTC
Out caching with Wollaston and stopped for this cache. Traversed as required and were rewarded with a find. Thanks for arranging.
Ha ha ha ! Even with previous logs of " surprise" it still got me ! Nice oneTFTC
Find # 9570Nice quick find.That is classic!Gets a favourite point from us.TFTC huskymaddog 21 September 2023 11:34
Found 2:51 pm with fiancée waiting in geovehicle. It has been raining a bit today so the area was a bit wet. I had a noticed comments about the guardian but was still kind of taken aback when I opened it, Surprise, had a chuckle at myself that I expected it but still twitched. Funny. We are staying at Flynn’s Beach and exploring the area and then if I get the opportunity find another cache.
Signed the log and returned everything to where it was.
Thanks for the cache.

It’s always a great day for caching when you don’t find a live wriggle stick. I was however a little unnerved when I discovered the remnants of a recently shed skin at GZ.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

This one took longer to find than it should have as Mrs Shifter was overthinking it. Loved the surprise, Mrs Shifter had warned Mr Shifter about it so he stayed in the car and left the finding to Mrs Shifter.
Thanks for the hide huskymaddog.

Day 15 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives before continuing south for a loop around the Snowy Mountains. From there we headed towards Eden to commence the run north towards home following along the coastline.
Due to a change in our itinerary earlier in the trip, we were actually running a day ahead of schedule. That gave us a little more time this morning to get started before the final push for home this afternoon so we first headed off to find somewhere for breakfast. Afterwards we headed out to Kurri Kurri for a drive around the various murals in town. Some great artwork here which really brings the town to life. My wife was hoping to head visit a few wineries afterwards but booking visits with Covid restrictions seemed all a bit too hard so we set sail for the last drive home.
This cache wasn't actually on my to-do list for today but we were passing close by so made the short detour to get here. Parked a little way away and walk over to GZ and soon spotted the cache in its hiding place. TFTC

In town for a drs appointment and decided to come home the long way and grab this cache on the way. Had an inkling what was in store but I was still cautious in opening the container. Nice one, TFTC
You huskymaddog, are a scoundrel.... clever, but a scoundrel... TFTC and for keeping it interesting.
Found with nissan 65 Thanks for the cache and your contribution to this wonderful world of Geo caching.
Found it. That was something plus doing it in the dark made it even more daunting because when you said there were snakes I didn’t trust what I was stepping on. Then to find one in the cache was even scarier. Great hide and well camouflaged.
Found on 15/5/21 whilst a your around the area
Love the guardian !!

Now that gave me quite a start. That's the closest to the real thing I've seen. Cache was found with excellent coords and in great condition.

Quick park and grab on our way home from Wauchope this afternoon. Thankfully I’d seen a spoiler photo!! TFTC
Unguarded alright. The opening of a cache container may change forever after this cache. I was wondering the relevance of the name until we opened this one. TFTC.
Dayboro trip. Day 4. Another bright sunny day around Port Macquarie. I headed a bit south to Laurieton for an AL. This region was also affected by flooding, so some caches were not accessible. The final lab in the AL set was in a closed park. Then it was back to Port Macquarie for lunch and the caches around the service center. To finish the day a I did a themed series of caches just North on Blackman's Point road. Lots of fun.
With an obvious spot to look, it took quite awhile to see the far less obvious spot the cache was actually in. Every Red Bellied Black Snake I have seen has been a LOT bigger than this one, but I don't need to see another live one anytime soon.
Thanks.

Found at 9:57 AM GAFF5 in the company of Lee737 and Samuel 737.
This was the start of a big day which ended up being an 186 km round trip with an elevation of up to 700 metres as we travelled to Ellenborough Falls.
We were trying to guess what the "unguarded" title meant to help us with the find, but there were no guard rails, so it didn't mean that [B)] So we resined ourselves to the fact that there was really a snake that snuck up on the CO
I was checking out the hiding spot (on the other side of the structure) with no luck and then Samuel turns up and points to it just 1 metre from where I was looking [:o)] Well that was a subtle hide with no "indicators"!
Thanks huskymaddog for the little surprise on opening the container

Found with pprass today on a caching trip that started as a couple in Port Macquarie and Wauchope, and ended up a full day out to Ellenborough Falls and back.
Where would it be? There were no guardrails nearby, so we stepped off (carefully) into the brush.... pprass went one way, me the other, and Samuel spotted it in front of us both! All nice and dry, we took the TB. TFTC!

As we returned from Wauchope we decided to stop by & look for this cache.
We had seen the phot from the previous log so we knew what to expect when we found it.
The grass was quiet long so we made our way cautiously down towards GZ. Well it still caused a fright for a kiwi when it was spotted as the lid came off.
I have left a TB here to continue it's journey.
