Found by caughtatwork on 16/11/2024 at 8:44:00 AMPicked this one up after I visited the TrigPoint at the top of the hill.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
Got here right as it was turning dark and the iPhone light really doesnt cut it. With the low phone range navigating was difficult but not impossible. Once I found the four trunked tree, I made a quick find, though because of the dark it did take a few minutes to find the correct tree. TFTC!!
So this cache was nearby and was to close by to ignore. Easy, find. Dropped trackable.
Found by Mary and David at 11:25. Here to check our "100 Not Out" cache, and couldn't resist another one so close. Would still call this a dam and not just a puddle. The drizzle has even stopped, too. Our thanks to McAdies.
After visiting maccamob’s 100 Not Out cache we found a couple of caches along the road to Enfield. SL at 6pm #9439 TFTC McAdies - another found on our Creswick Christmas holiday.
After attending the Union Jack Creek CITO, I headed further south to grab a few more caches before returning home. I enjoyed the drive through the forest to get to this cache. Found nice and quickly.
My thanks to McAdies for the cache.
My thanks to McAdies for the cache.
Out for a walk and a drive with Shumba7 around Enfield State park. Thanks for bringing us here for your cache.
We have headed to Ballarat to attend doctor appointments and in our spare time head out to areas that we have not cached in to find the many geocaches that have popped up in the forest and other areas around town. Most of the roads were acceptable, some geocaches were on walking/bike riding section which hubby hiked on and I drove the car and would pick him up along the way. All geocaches were found and were in good condition. SL TFTC
It’s time for a weekend road trip. After speaking to the bank and remortgaging my house I managed to scrape enough together for half a tank of fuel. So I buddied up with OzHockeyChick who took out a loan for the other half a tank so we could get home again. Definitely won’t be leaving the engine running this weekend .
We circled around for a short while and eventually settled on an area. It didn’t look fruitful so after a slight widening the cache was found. A small Pool of water was beside the road, but certainly not the dam!
Thanks McAdies for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

A weekend road trip to the Ballarat area, incorporating an event, a cito, a couple of solved puzzles and exploring Enfield Forest.
Found this toward the end of the day, but thankfully still well before mozzie time.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, McAdies

In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Tftc! About 5M away from coordinates. We found a kangaroo here with a big hole in its head too. Hope he’ll be okay
Was out this way looking at the orchids, knowing that there was a cache nearby I thought I may as well go and have a look for it. On the way to the gz I realised that I did not have a writing implement, so I was hoping for the cache to have a working one. Luckily the cache was found and there was a pencil inside. TFTC
Slight detour on our way back from Colac this afternoon. Nice drive in and a relatively quick find. Thanks McAdies.
Found it this afternoon with Sunsong! Easy find, lots of trees and branches are down after the storm last week. The tracks have been cleared so there are no problems getting through. The cache is in good order. Thanks for placing this cache McAdies.
I decided to head out to Enfield and surrounding areas to find as many caches as possible in a 2WD.
The recent windy weather has caused a lot of limbs to drop and trees to fall which made some locations a little more interesting.
There’s always time for just one more. I was able to make a quick find and call it a day.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Traditional Cache McAdies

A quick and easy find here whilst exploring the enfield area. A nice little bushland reserve.
A quick little visit to this nice location while we were doing a lab cache won us another smilie.
TFTC in a very pleasant location.

A quick pick-up while working through the Enfield Lab. The hint helped us from having too long a search. TFTC
After completing the last stage of the Enfield Adventure Lab where some recent silver painting of the required sign has apparently obliterated the final word clue, we made our way down to this dam.
A nice hide here too.
All quiet, no birds or cars or signs of life apart from the animal droppings.
Time to head down Misery Creek track to turn right at that lovely shining steel bridge.

Heading home after the first of the youngest team members sporting activities since the latest lockdown eased, we decided to take the scenic route and some back roads to add a few smiles., TFTC and the fun
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks McAdies (F=8841 H=136) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

We had attended a couple of events and met up with some other cachers that had struggled with a cache. A small group of us went out and found the cache nice and quickly. Thanks for the cache.
So after being up this way 2 weeks ago for the grand opening / launch of the brand spanking new Ballarat Geo Tour and managing to get FTF’s on all 4 of the ones I did, I noticed a few events on this weekend up this way and so being a long weekend I booked myself into a motel for 3 nights to hopefully finish it off and to attend the events on up here.
Left Melbourne after work and headed up the Western Fwy boy that Fwy can get busy and be very slow.
Turned off just after Ballan and took the back roads in instead.
After a busy Saturday finishing off the tour and quite a few other caches Sunday has arrived and time for some events and try and find 12 in a day if we could.
After the breakie event I was joined by GemmaSistema as my new co Pilot for the morning of fun and finding what we needed and any others that came along.
With my co pilot directing as I had no idea where anything is in town and the surrounding areas off we went.
So after the first CITO, a few caches in between, a community celebrating event for a belated 20 years of geocaching, then some more caches and one last CITO.
After the CITO it was mentioned that a team had trouble locating this one so a group of us headed off to try and help locate this one.
I can see why they had trouble as the GPS’s would not play fair today and we were all looking all over the place
But eventually the cry rang out of found it by Papi4506 and we were all glad to add our names to the log.
Thanks McAdies TFTC.

After the morning CITO and lunchtime Celebration event in Napoleons, Chook joined forces with Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 to find some more caches in the Enfield State Forest, before rushing back to attend a second CITO of the day. After the CITO, a call went out to help find this cache as some other cachers were having difficulty. With extra sets of eyes, the cache was soon located, just as the hint indicated. TFTC McAdies.
Well Ballarat cachers have done it again with four events but the ageing Bushfire did not make the first Event only due to the early start which was out of their control and the distance from Geelong and Ballarat. I have never agreed with Groundspeak and never will with their thinking on the number of Events that are allowed on a given day in a given area.
Up early and heading to Ballarat with my friend au.fait, and after a number of finds including two events we found ourselves out in this part of the Enfield Forest while a little dusty it was very quiet and peaceful finding our way around these back roads with au.fait doing a great job navigating from one cache to the next.
We came we looked and looked should of read the hint but with extra eyes it was soon discovered in a great hidey hole.
Time to head back to Geelong after a very long successful day's caching.

A day out in the Ballarat area in the company of the ever helpful Bushfire and as usual a longish list of caches to be found. Amongst the list were 3 events, lots of traditionals a few multis and puzzles. After the Community event it was into the forest to seek caches there This seemed to be the area of choice as we kept meeting other likeminded crews wherever we went. Bushfire and I almost made ourselves very late for the CITO as we hunted high and low for this one. Technology all over the place and the hint wasn’t available, but would have helped. so sadly headed off feeling very frustrated. After collecting lots of rubbish we returned with reinforcements and eventually those magic words were heard. What a relief. TFTC McAdies
Find 3728 on 7 March 2021
Found between events this afternoon. Nice quick find.also started an early cito with someone's rubbish not to far away. All is well with the hide.

After the nearby CITO a small group of us went in search of this cache as there were some rumours floating around that some people had some difficulty finding it earlier today. With several sets of eyes looking we all had trouble locating it as well. The satellites weren't helping the GPS, the smartphones' radars were all over the place and even though I had it saved offline I completely forgot to check the hint. Had i read that first we may have found it a lot sooner than we did. Eventually Papi4506 made the find to our relief. Thx McAdies for contributing to our fun today!

Out with bogonghazy today to what we thought would be a cooler place to cache. NO!!!! Just as hot here as in the Marsh.
Hoping to give Bree the geodog a swim today but no water in the dam. Thanks McAdies

Out for the day with Sorceysal, and we thought it would be cooler near Ballarat today. We couldn't have been more wrong, as the temp steadily climbed to 37 degrees by 530pm.
This was another quick find with the accurate coords, thanks again McAdies

Golden Plains shire offered us four seasons in one day - wind, rain, sunshine and hail as we enjoyed a change of scenery and the opportunity to add a few more smiley tokens to our collection.
Thanks McAdies for placing geo-treasure in Enfield State Park for us to find!

Having just completed a multi in Rokewood when these 6 new trads were published we would have been crazy not to continue north to Enfield and complete the 'Enfield' series.
We worked our way back a long the track to head north up to 'Dam #2'. We had to use caution searching for this cache as there were a group of trail bike riders nearby.
Thanks McAdies for this cache and the excitement of the {FTF} adventure.
