The final cache for this morning and another well constructed cache container. Another favourite. After the rain yesterday afternoon and during the evening today dawned cool, but with sunshine, clear skies and little wind.We headed out in the morning and did a range of gadget caches out from Red Cliffs. Some great entertaining fun which we enjoyed greatly. How can we go back to searching for 'bisons in the bush' although we have not come across these in Mildura! In the afternoon we headed into town and tackled a number of Ad Labs, multis and trads. We even managed a Wherigo. Great locations and really interesting things to see. The Murray is quite a big river with lots of interesting features to check out.A great day caching.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Washawa.**SKI Pair****

Quick find. Found what i expectd to find.Out with Mogni for a 3 day weekend, leaving friday morning and coming back sunday night. The plan was to go to Cowangie in Victoria and then head in to Murray-Sunset National Park then head on to Mildura and come back via Rufus River road ( in New South Wales ) to South Australia. Night 1 was in the Murray-Sunset National Park at Mopoke Hut camp ground and Night 2 at Mildura then going back to Adelaide. It must have rained recently in Murray-Sunset since the sand wasn't like fine power as expected and other sections of the National park had bypass tracks around the water filled ruts in the main track. Going around one of the bypass tracks i staked a tyre on the friday but didn't notice it to saturday morning. The stake went right beside the tread and the inside wall of the tyre, the stake was the size of my finger tip. Also turns out that i got a screw in my rear tyre thrusday night leaving work. There was alot of reinflating tyres this trip. The flora change in the national park was surprising but i figured that is due to weather or not the ground was sandy or muddy. When we got to Mildura we targeted the 2 multi's mogni wanted to do and of course they were the ones with 7 and 11 stages. After that we targeted the caches with high amount of favourite points and then left the next day via New South Wales so we could get the virtual at Lake Victoria and some of the older 2003 around the border track. A good weekend away 4x4ing.

Sir_spectre and I decided we needed to get away for a few days, so off to Murray Sunset NP and Mildura we went. Not a huge number of caches were found, but we had a great time exploring the NP. We fixed anything we could. Thanks to Washawa from mogni

Southern Autumn adventure Day 50. Mid North section of SA trip Day 21. Mount Barker 1. Today and the next two days are really transitional to me getting to Mildura in time to do the Paddle Steamer with friends from Canberra. In the meantime I had a day around Mount Barker area today. There was light rain on and off, but it was not much of a problem. I tried to find the multi's I worked out the numbers for yesterday and had a load more caches on the list that went from smoothly to very problematic. I had to skip a whole section as the only access road we being re-surfaced. It was a long and quite difficult day at times, but with that comes a sense of achievement with what was found. I finished the day with dinner in the pub in town and had a great night !

Chucks house is quite impressive, but there was only a log book, no birds here to yell at me.

Thanks for the cache Washawa

I’m having this week off as others at work had the Easter break off so it was my turn and another trip up North to Mildura was planned.
I was able to leave Melbourne nice and early to get a few caches in on the way up to Culgoa.
So after a great feed and a couple of beers and of course great accomodation at the Kaneira Hotel I headed up towards Mildura to see how many I could find in the Paddle Steamer series.
I managed to find 115 and 165 in the last couple days but the uni joint in my right knee has finally said enough is enough with all of the getting in and out of the Geocruiser so it is time to spend a casual day around Mildura.
I got up nice and early to attend the Dawn Service at the park and it was great to see so many people there paying their respects.
After a wander around town and then completing the Turtle series which was the second reason why I came back up to Mildura it was time to keep my wandering around.
So after crossing the mighty Murray river for a few and then crossing back again so now I’m back on home soil.
Making my way back to where I am staying but I was given the heads up to do all of the new to me caches along here.
Soon spotted Chucks Cabin and after he let me in I was able to add my name to the log.

Thanks Deputy Washawa TFTC.

Easy to find, a lot of fun!

24-Apr-22
Nice

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Cute little Cache. Not a busy road but if someone does drive past, it's hard to go into stealth mode as the surrounding bush land is sparse.

After finding all the caches in the Paddle steamer and Turtle Series over the past few days there was still time to cache around Mildura and Red Cliffs.
Along with GoodLook, The Drovers, FurfacesLL & Rapidlywild we set about locating these caches.
These were fun to do... this was a cute one! ????

03-Apr-21
A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.

After completing the PS series we split up as The Drovers had already done the ones we were about to do.
We still signed the logs as either The Mob or put our initials in the logs.

There were a lot of different kinds of hides here which really good. Nice to have something a little different.

Another good cache here. Thanks for the fun.

Thanks for the placement and maintenance of this cache Deputy Washawa

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.

We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.

Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.

Was day 3 of our trip away and today we were back out to finish off the PS Series with "The Mob" consisting of GoodLook, The Drovers, FurfacesLL, LiB and myself. We managed to get heaps done yesterday so only needed a couple hours out on these today then The Drovers went off to do some caches they had left unfound whilst the rest of us went to do some around Mildura/Red Cliffs that they had already found.

Chuck was hanging out just chilling, a quick find.

Thanks for the hides Washawa Big Grin And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

03-Apr-21
FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, LíB and myself found a number of caches outside of the Paddle steamer and Turtle Series whilst in the area.

Most of the caches are stamped as The Mob (consisting of The Drovers, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, and myself), however a handful contain our own caching names or initials.

2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip was spontaneously planned and I was able to pull together a number of my caching friends who hadn't cached together before to form "The Mob".

LíB and I started in SA, drove to Victoria and ended our trip in SA; FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild came from Canberra and The Drovers began their journey from NSW; and then a few days later, feathertop from Victoria, joined us to complete the On Your Bike Series and other caches in SA.

We filled our days with piling in cars, hard core caching, Adventure Labs, crazy funny CB radio chatter, some laughter, some tense moments (OMG some of the ladder and tree climbs on this trip were crazy!), lots of lovely meals and even live music from a band called "Kung Fu Jesus" - nope, that is no joke.

We had hot weather each day (well into 30s), so I am thrilled that I now own a car fridge to keep the drinks icy cold (loving them at about 1 degree celcius).

A sincere thanks to for placing this cache. Big Grin

You know what we enjoy just as much as a great cache? A rummage among an old dump point.. On the stroll the GZ we got distracted by a large scattering of old rusty tins, bottles and oddities. Found some bottles still in tact to add to our collection! We even found the remains of some old metal toy cars. After enjoying an extended explore of the area we said hi to Chuck and signed the log while the kids continued to explore rusty items and random bones.
What an adventure! Time for lunch!
