#15170 11:47A long weekend of geocaching away from Sydney. For this long weekend, a group of 8 geocachers descended down upon Callala Beach at Jervis Bay. Each day a different area was selected and all logs were signed with I'M ZEBRA, comprising of the initials of each member of the group. Down the embankment, collecting a few leeches while in search of the tunnel entrance. Found it after an intense 10 minutes search.TFTC

Hardest part was finding the tunnel. Finding the cache was easy Too wet to get ink on paper. Caching for the LWE as IM ZEBRA. TFTC

I had always been fascinated by the JBT and its relationship with the ACT. I am perplexed why I have to pay to go IN to the JBT despite not visiting any national parks. But whatever, Trevor.Thankfully, Pprime knew what was what and we approached from the right angle. Pprime, T4mmmy, and I motored down toward GZ. I found the cache using the hint as the coords seemed to be leading us elsewhere. The cache was in good condition. We signed the log and moved off. Very happy to have visited the JBT.TFTC sharv999 Smile

Accio 13:57:08Part of our Canberra Mega experience, T4mmmy, Fangsoki and I are returning to Brisbane the long way - and we really really wanted this little territory on our maps. I am an old Navy boy and spent a bit of time nearby, but tbh never explored around here. I was all about getting out. So a bit of time today checking out the area - including nabbing this cache which took a bit more effort than we had banked on, but all is good here. Thanks sharv999 for entertaining me at this location.Cool *{Overall find #12426}* Cool

We are zigzagging around Australia collecting LGAs and needed to find a cache in Jervis Bay. As we are travelling with a dog we thought we might not be able to get this one but NSW Parks his details (he is a registered and certified Search and Rescue dog) checked his credentials and let us in, even though our dog isn't working at the moment. Anyway, we arrived at this cache and made the short trek down to gz. A local wildlife didn't seem too fussed about me walking past and a quick find was made as I peered through the tunnel and took a cool shot. Tftc. Probably the shortest trip anyone has taken to Jervis Bay. FP added

I was in the National Park for a few days, celebrating my little sister's wedding. While all the younger ones were staggering about on the second day after overindulging, and cooling off in Sussex Inlet I decided to go for a drive around the park for a few caches, and air-conditioning! I am truly confused with the constantly changing weather.A short walk down the overgrown track to find the cache easily enough. But with the unexpected heat so early in the season I decided to make this the last find for the day. Thanks for the cache.

Down touring the coast with Tankengine, Youban, Joolay and Aquilus1. We wanted to get away for a bit of fun and didnt expect it to be so much in the sun we planned this trip. But 30 degrees at the beginning of September although nice, is a bit of a climate shock to the body. So hot!A quick find at GZ. The service road was ok for the most part only the last 30m maybe was overgrown. Tftc!!!

Away for the weekend with Joolay, dty73, Tankengine and youban. We had an oldie and an LGA as our target and many others of interest as we passed. It was a beautiful area to visit and the weather was lovely. Many thanks for your cache that added to our enjoyment. We found the old service road down. It's overgrown but easily accessed even by the tunnel where it's thicker. Using the information from the cache page, the container was quickly spotted. Pretty spot here, a few echo's through the tunnel, photos and log signed, then back up to the car.

The track was a little over grown but found my way down. TFTC.

A great spot here - thanks, sharv999.

After much car travel up and down the eastern Australian coast this year (including three trips to QLD) how tiring could the day be caching with colleagues in Jarvis Bay. Being a week day we struck unexpected road works so the time caching was kept to a bare minimum. It was a tiring trip as a result but that’s life!

The magnificent hike around the 'island' took up the majority of our time picking up less than a handful of caches. Worth the trip but we will need to come back to spend more time in this gorgeous location.

A quick find, and last cache of the day mid afternoon as we headed back to Canberra. Plenty of water flowing into the tunnel today. TFTC sharv999.

Made the detour out to Jervis bay today, would have loved to spend some more time here but came to find 2 caches. Parked up and made the walk done the nonexistent track to this one, the water was flowing and the cache was easily found luckily.

Day 7 of Courtneyrose_ and I’s trip from Adelaide to Sydney, today we headed from Batemans Bay to Sydney on the final stretch via Wollongong. Was nice to finally reach our destination after being on the road for the last week but also explore some of this spectacular coastline today

Thanks for the cache

Found this cache on our East Coast Trip Day 7 in company of Bazzars. Firstly thought that there was no easy way down until a closer look revealed the gap in the overgrown path. Our first Jervis Bay Territory cache, Thanks from D B-A

Teamnanbombana, Membsec, Nyssaflutterby were headed to the coast with a few stops along the way.
We were looking forward to visiting the Jervis Bay territory, but the weather was getting worse as we arrived.
We headed down to find the cache, a bit worried about leaches, but we didn't see any here.
A bit of team work and soon we had the cache in hand.

Spending a couple of days in and around ACT with 3 Queenslanders and 1 Tasmanian, then down to the coast for a few days! Weather not great so we have been trying to get caches that are not long walks so we can keep reasonable dry.

So delighted that the sun was out this morning which allowed us to venture out to grab a few more caches before heading to the coast. Then the rain came and didn’t let up. We had this cache on our list to do and as a challenge as well! It was a challenge but with some teamwork and support the container was found and we signed as QTAS to save space, time and to try and keep the log dry!

We got very wet wet wet and some leeches attached themselves, that’s part of geocaching.

Find 524 for the tribe

Parked at the hole in the wall parking lot and made the bush bash to GZ. It doesn't look like the photo clues anymore but it is still there and in great condition with plenty of room in the logbook.

No way I'm going down that drain today with a river flowing through it! Might be fun to explore another day!

Thanks for the hide and for the adventure. Off to the hole in the wall now for the next one.

Took a little while, but we found it! Very good

Stopped beside the old track on the return drive after a few hours at Murrays Beach with the family. Found the drain without issue, the cache though a different story. Thick growth didn't help much, especially in tevas and boardshorts. Eventually found something familiar thanks to a previous finder and bingo, there it was. Signed and replaced before retracing my steps back to the family semi-patiently waiting in the airconditioned geomobile. TNLNSL TFTC
