Amazing cache! Came at sunset and were treated with an amazing view from the geocache. Great idea and TFTC!

Nothing like a full moon to create a super low tide ! Great cache ! Ta.

Did my research and found the closest place to park to make light work of this find after the CITO event while the tide was still out. Shouldve spent a minute or two more as I really couldve used my water shoes here. All those oyster shells were a bit rough on my dainty little feet. But Im not precious about these things and dont mind a mangrove cut or two in order to make a find. Especially when its a gift like this one. Nice little spot highlighted here too!

Out for a day of caching around the Bribie Island/Sandstone Point area before attending the nearby CITO. I really enjoyed my wade to GZ, spotting many critters as I went. Soon enough I found the cache, and took in the views a bit more. FP for the location, thanks Simber15!

I've visited this beach/area twice before, and it was low-tide during my first visit, but having seen others make the trek to GZ with mud up to ankles and knees, I had decided to postpone my visit until such time that I had towels and a change of clothes. Subsequently, with today's CITO event scheduled at low tide, it was an opportune time to add this geocache to my plan. It was less wading, and more walking on mud flats (although there were a few soft spots in water). I enjoyed seeing the scurrying of crab armies along the sand, and then towards the distance, nearby birds scrounging around, searching for crabs and grubs. Once I arrived at GZ, it didn't take long to spot the container starting to become embedded in the tree. A short ascent up, and the prize was in hand; The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Simber15](https://coord.info/PRQRYTE) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------After following the usual Saturday morning routine consisting of parkrun, Cottontail's gymnastics and library/playground visit with coffee, I was allowed to escape north to attend the [CITO in the Mangroves](https://coord.info/GCAJZV9) event scheduled for early afternoon at low tide. Having visited the area six months ago and getting stuck in the soft mud myself, I knew it would be another tough outing, but a chance to remove stubborn litter. I had a final walk around the Ningi's lake area before returning home in the late afternoon.

M CNQ sludged out at low tide this morning to find this cache. Spotted once a couple of steps up, thanks for another cache Simber15.

30-Sep-23
Was watching a bloke wade through the water, but he was after crabs, I was not wearing suitable attire to attempt this cache but will come back another time, as there are a few hides not found, a lovely spot for a walk anyway

Davinells, Karicka, Peppa, and I were caching around Bribie and the tides were right so we wandered and squelched our way down here for a quick find. Thanks for the fun Simber15

Paddled on the high tide this morning, now back on the same beach for a walk at low tide.
The seaweed spots were still soft, made our way around and could make a quick find.

Thank you for this cache

Davinells, Beardman75, Karicka have spent the day on and around Bribie Island… a whole day of caching means the tides are now ideal for this cache…

I think the CO described the area being “just puddles”… I however wasn’t wearing croc repellent booties and ended up going barefoot to GZ…

Finding a much more solid way back to the grass…

Thanks Simber15 ??

An awesome day of caching with Peppa, Beardman75 and karicka on and around Bribie Island. Having paddled for the morning at high tide then took a drive along the beach, the tide has now turned and we have timed it perfectly for a walk to this cache at low tide.

Karicka made it to GZ first and located the cache.
Thanks for bringing us here Simber15

I times this one perfect today. I could even see the geotrail through the seaweed.
Now this is my type of cache, just wish there were more of them around.
I was wearing thongs today but soon lost them to the suction of mangrove sand. So I left em behind to be retrieved later. Not a bad view from GZ, some may say a million dollar view.
By the time i got back my thongs had popped up out of the sand, they live to see another day.

Yap.. but this one is fit as.. no wet at all.
Be careful of sharp shell's.. tftc..️

15-Nov-22
I can't say that I timed my walk for this today, but it worked out well. Barely even got my feet wet. Big Grin almost 12 months unloved too.

26-Dec-21
Luckily the tide was out so we both began the stroll out to the trees. Alas we encountered some supper sticky mud. TeamARF had his thongs truly stuck and the mud took my boots off! So i trudged on in socks!!! Then I get there and realise I need to climb!!! Very slippery but the deed was accomplished! GO ME!!!!

I took the easy option with this one and launched Gcoven toward the hide after getting bogged a third of the way to the cache. Glass slippers aren't the practical footwear of choice when skating on mangrove mud.

The tide was in a hurry to cut off the escape route and moves a lot quicker than grass growing or paint drying. Glad I'd extracted myself from the mud and write this tale of woe before the beauty treatment started to work wonders. TFTC Simber15.

After collecting a lot of little birds we tried wading to collect this one. With the mud now exposed kayaking was not an option. Watch the mud though, I had a little incident in bare feet, best wear protection at all time. Cool

Having completed a couple of paddles on the high tide, one last cache (there is always time for one last cache - besides the coffee shop was closed). This one we left the kayaks snuggled on the roofs and went ala-foot. Wading, as the name suggests. Mud sinking to lower calf, but holding, a few mollusk shells to annoy, and then the mangrove shoots on bare feet ... and up the now muddy slippery tree (one step). Log signed. To finish a wonderful day out. a FP for the day as well as this little challenge.

Thanks Simber15 for entertaining me at this location.

Found with Quesera in this picturesque place, thank you for placing this cache here.

sharpem and i decided to come up here from Brisbane to collect some smileys. The tree fishing caches were on our to do list and this one looked like fun as the tide was out. First we went a way where my feet sunk into the mud but then found a better way but still got very muddy to get to GZ then it was a nice climb to sign the log. This was great fun. Thank you

After a great morning in the kayak then attending the Christmas in July event, I met up with Triple Turmoil, NayFee and chamad to collect some Bribie caches and to do a spot of tree fishing.
We picked up this one along the way. We timed it perfectly as the tide was way out, but it was a muddy trip. Always fun hearing the squelching sound under the boots.
Thanks Simber15 for the cache.

25-Jul-21
After attending the nearby Christmas in July Event, our morning group (nayfee, triple turmoil and myself) meet up with Willis007 and we decided to spend the afternoon collecting some of the local caches, cleaning up Bribie, again and possibly finishing off ones from this morning’s run.

Working our way back home we still had a few more caches to collect before days end. We saw this little trail of caches and thought that looks easy enough. To our surprise and not looking at the parking coordinates, it was a long walk to the first one. We were lucky enough here today as the tide was way out so a walk to gz was required. It was a muddy walk but easy enough. It was Nayfee who did the deed for this cache and a lovely little tree climb.
Thanks for placing this one here and I look forward to more in this area. With log signed and cache replaced as found we were on to the next in this run.

An event on Bribie Island today so an excuse for 4 of us to get together and make a day of it. Lots of fun and some caches ticked off with Willis007, Chamad and Nayfee. Lots of lovely mud on this adventure. Thanks Nayfee Wink

25-Jul-21
Today I had the pleasure to join Chamad, TripleTurmoil and later on Willis007 for a day of caching. Our initial target for the day was the land based Bird caches while also grabbing several other caches on our travels. We then moved on to Bribie Island to attend an event to have a brief break from caching duties and mingle amongst fellow cachers, luckily we dressed for the weather because that bitterly cold wind would rip straight through you, brrr!

After the event we decided to stay put on Bribie Island to grab the remaining caches that we missed on our last visit, I think we’ll need a 4x4 for the remaining ones however.

Thank you for showing us around these wonderful locations, we had an absolute blast.

Apologies for the generic log.

The three of us started heading across the flats to claim Wading and soon we were wading through mud as I was holding the tree fishing pole container I used it to balance on and it became stuck & as I retrieved it I left the base of the container behind :-{ after a bit of quick cleaning I managed to make my timely arrival after all the hard work was completed.

Muggle65 and l started wading out to this one together but soon the Mugglekid and l were signing the log and he was still plugging his way through the mud Very fun

Hubby was my hero here, the water was still going out and he waded to GZ where the water was up to his knees. I guess we could have waited but we had things to do. SL TFTC

This was done at low tide, lots of sinking in mud experiences. Found after checking a couple of trees

Took a little while at low tide. Beautiful scenery.

Having found the ‘tree-fishing’ caches along this beach, there was this little green dot beckoning.
The tide was pretty low, water was only ankle deep so we decided to give it a go. We took our shoes off and away we went. Followed the sandy ‘path’ around and just kept moving so we didn’t sink in. Pretty soon we were on firmer ground at the outer mangroves. Cache was just out of reach so, yes, a tree climb was required.

Thank you for the fun we had getting to this cache Simber15. We’re giving this a Fav Point.

30-Jan-21
After finishing on Lake Somerset I went Beefy at Ningi for lunch. Godwin Beach was calling me to grad these two. The tide was to high to get Wading and and to cleanup my DNF on the tree fishing one.
Both got reasonably easy.

After doing Tree Fishing 101, we realized it was coming up to low tide so thought it would be a good opportunity to have a go at this one. Left geowife in the car and wandered down and straight out into the water which fortunately was only just above my ankles, once at GZ it was a quick retrieval. Now to head home for some dry shoes LOL. TFTC Simber15 Smile

Loving my early finishes from work on Fridays, I picked up Mr Curious Quest and we headed off to find a few caches. After finding a a few caches on Bribie Island, we had headed back to the mainland to find a few more. The tide was close to low and we made our way out to GZ. Naturally, I chose the way where there was mud - typical! When I arrived at GZ, Mr CuriousQuest was already adding our names to the log. TFTC

Hmm, it's high tide but I came prepared with a towel and boardshorts, unlike the other day when I wasn't ready for how high the water can be at the top of the tide.

Stripped down to just boardies sneakers and a pen, and made my way out, having memorised roughly which tree I should be looking at. The water was chest deep but never above the armpits, so it was easy enough to walk and with this much water the seabed seemed quite firm.

The water was very clear and I could easily see the bottom, allowing me to avoid the oyster covered rocks near GZ which would be quite sharp.

The tree I had locked onto was soon reached and I immediately saw the container which is always good. A quick clamber and my name is now in the log. Then it was just a matter of heading back to the beach where I had left my towel in readiness, I even had a little swim to enjoy the water on this hot day, and afterwards nothing to clean as there was no mud whatsoever, unlike mentioned in previous logs. Maybe this was a better way after all Razz

So much fun when you're prepared, nice job, giving an FP for bringing me out past the comfort zone.

My wife and I love our gumboots and crack them out every chance we get. I sometimes wear them to work, when I’m out fine dining and have even been known to wear them in the bedroom for some cot action. Before starting this series of caches we looked down and thought this would be a great opportunity to wear them and avoid ending up muddy.

When we saw where the cache was we decided to take one for the team and headed out. We got three steps in and momentum came to an abrupt halt. The gumboots sank all the way in and we were plugged. Each step meant trying to rip a boot out of some mud and after about 15 minutes we had travelled 10 metres and were working harder than a pair of lycra shorts at the gym.

I was the first to fall on my arse in the mud. I haven’t had this much stain on my shorts since my mother stopped wiping my arse and changing my nappies on my 16th birthday. Mrs Woodyrothwell was laughing her backside off at me until she too bum-planted in the mud. At least she had to wait while I got the camera out.

We haven’t laughed so much for a long time and the bevy of spectators were also laughing with us. Even when we watched ourselves on a video hatzoff had taken we still couldn’t stop laughing and that was after we’d had a shower at home.

All’s well that ends well apart from the next 15 minutes it took us to get back the 10 metres we had travelled. Thankfully someone smarter than us went barefoot which we had to do in the end to the escape the eminent doom.

Awarding a favourite point for our ineptitude and the amount of laughing involved. I still love my gumboots but it’s hard to explain why mud keeps falling out of my wallet when I pay for a beer. tftc

Funtastic time retrieving this cache. What a way to finish the day. So much mud and laughter.

Thanks for the cache and taking us here Simber15.

Please check out https://coord.info/GC8M4ZQ - CacheQLD - Dayboro  - Queensland's Mega Event. Save the date - 03 April 2021, 07:00 - 23:45 and log your will attend. It's going to be a great event!

After the fab event this morning a group of us headed off to try and catch some tree fish. We left this one til last so the tide would be as low as possible, perhaps that wasn't the best idea as it left us with more mud to traverse but also more laughs to be had. Our wide variety of footwear proved that good ole aussie flip flops beat gumboots for mangrove wading!
Thanks for the cache & wading fun Simber15

After attending the event hosted by Simber15 we are making a group assault on the caches in the area. After tree fishing, a few of us ventured off to grab this one but some got stuck in the mud so echocage1 and I continued on through the mud to GZ where we found the cache. EC1 did the honours of signing and then we made our way back through the mud to shore. Lucky for low tide but needed to be careful of the oysters.

Found on 26 January 2021. TFTC, Simber15.

Whilst at Simber15's Australia Day event, a group of us decided to head further north for a spot of tree fishing.
Good thing the tide was getting quite low here but still a muddy slog trying to get to the tree but echocage1 put her hand up and said its my turn to do the honors
Good hide and another favourite point from me.

Thank you, Simber15, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Collecting this one brought back memories of some other Geocaching we have done in this area, also courtesy of the same CO.
Mud, mud, glorious mud!
Thick, oozing, slippery mud.
Up to your knees mud!
Lose your shoes mud!
Yes, all of the above fits the description, and we thought we were being clever waiting until low tide.

Happy to sign the log!
Thanks Simber15.
Lots of fun!
