I decided to reinstate this one, so I constructed a new cache and went around to GZ. It was like the CBD! There's a film unit set up there, with caravans and people everywhere. I'll leave it until next week and try again.
Called by here this morning.Half the tree has been pruned away, and the cache is gone.I'll think about what to do here.
I may have just not had my caching eyes switched on today, although I did notice a large branch was missing from this tree so perhaps the cache went with that, but after a good look, I didn't find what I was looking for.
What a lovely park! The grevillea is in flower but no watlle birds spies today. An easy find which always makes you feel good!! TFTC
It's starting to bloom! Perfect height for me and not many around this spot. Signed the dry log and off to the next. A lovely park!
Find 3264Entered from the Baseball side of the Reserve. I remember playing Baseball here against Sandringham over 40 years ago.Anyway to the cache.A quick find here. Log signed and all back safe again. Now for the nearby multi.
Watched people playing baseball it was so cool then headed off to the cache. Nice hide tftc
Nice quick find on my way to rehearsals. Forgot to log it so catching up. TFTC
Love GREVILLEAS and the sheer variety. Today is time for many things and one is the SOLSTICE souvenir rush. One is for memories of time near the beach and wistful dreams too. And one is for "casheering" as my dear mum Mollie would say. After fish'n'chips at Sandy's shop just up the road, taking a slow way home and enjoying the setting sun and chance to wander. Cache located in where directed and signed with no muggling issues. Thanks gmj3191 for placing the cache.
Date: November 25, 2023 Time: 2:40 PMFind #14288After parkrun this morning, I decided with the awards event tonight, I would head towards the Hampton, Sandringham, Black Rock area and find some previously solved puzzles as well as some multis and a few trads to cap off the day. The loop walk continues. Massive thanks go to gmj3191 for placing this one.
As I gathered info for the nearby multi I realised I had parked right next to this cache! Looks like a good playground and will have to bring the little one back another time. TFTC!

Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. What a fine specimen it was, it was in full bloom with its yellow flowers. Thanks gmj3191 for the cache.
Found quickly, but all was not well with the cache. The lid was cross-threaded and when I got the container open it was empty. I added a small sheet of paper as an interim log. Tftc
Blends in so well! After a bit of head bobbing trying to spot it we made the find. Cheers for this sneaky hide!!
There is a saying, “focus on the journey not on the destination”, yet this journey didn’t quite begin and I nearly missed the destination!
My journey started with a mission to perk myself up after returning from a European adventure, London mega and family visit.
at the first cache of the day, was a mini heart thrilling moment with me being on edge about wiggle sticks as I went through scrub unnecessarily..
The next part of the journey morphed into this one.
I set out to find a nearby solved multi and circled around a set of buildings for awhile.
In attempt to re-group and focus and not to draw too much attention from the child in the playground, I ducked under this tree to review the multi description and phone a friend spiffy to confirm if my maths was correct.
hang on, I discovered that there’s a traditional cache right here, that I wasn’t even looking for!
Well that was a bonus find. No journey but the destination was rewarding with a decent hidden cache and a new approach to try find the multi.
Thanks gmj3191for continuing the cheerful and eventful day!

I had come over *Bayside* today to find caches here for a LGA challenge that I am working on... with a focus on caches with high Favourite Point counts for another challenge that I am working on (yeah, I am a bit hooked on challenges!).
By now, it was lunch time and I was on my way to find something to eat... but not without a stop in the park first... and as I was already stopped, it would have been rude to not go looking for this cache before leaving!
Thanks **gmj3191** for this cache.

Caching as a single, middle aged bloke can be perilous in kids parks, you can get some funny looks, and BOY did I pick a bad time to dig around in some bushes. Nice, easy find, though nearly lost an eye

Off on a late Tuesday afternoon geocaching run in the Cheltenham area. I had heard that it was going to be a rainy afternoon, but it was a lovely night in the end. Funnily enough every one I found was a GMJ 3191 geocache and the 2 I couldn't find were both Earthbound Chief.
Lots of people around, but walking towards GZ, I saw it. Walking around to the back, I jumped into the bush stabbing myself in the eye with a branch. But all good now.
Thanks for the cache GMJ 3191

After covid interrupting my 300+ day streak I've been finding it hard to get my Geocaching mojo back on, but today I've decided to cache everyday that I can, without counting the streaks as closely!
It's going to be a practice in combating my perfectionistic personality
This was a nice quick and easy cache to get me back into things.
Thanks for this cache and highlighting this beautiful tree which is currently in bloom!

I love Grevilleas too, especially these big, showy ones. They’re great to show people who reckon Australian flowers are dull, inconspicuous and not worth planting in a suburban garden. Today this bush was almost in complete flowers! (see photo)
The contents of the cache were unfortunately quite wet, but I was able to leave my mark. The park was full of people making use of the facilities, but nobody seemed to worry about me plunging into the bush away from the sight of most people.

A nic sized cache here which we were able to grab even with the local muggles out and about.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would bething around for those who like to find geocaches.

Working in the area for the next couple days I thought I better take the opportunity and collect some caches to keep my little streak going. Finding a nice and easy park nearby, practically parking on top of the cache. After a quick search of the area of interest this sneaky little cache was quickly spotted and put back in place.
Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

Nice quick find at a place we visit at least twice a week for soccer but have never realised there was a cache here. Logged for Geocache Day. TFTC
Out caching in the Sandringham area with xambo4u, we had a successful day and managed to avoid the rain that deluged other parts of Melbourne.
A quick find while doing the nearby multi. Thanks gmj3191.

Travelled out to this side of town chasing a Regular size and a Multi type to satisfy a couple of calendar day cache challenges. I am also working my way through the caches nominated for the 2020/2021 Victorian Geocache of the Year Awards. So five geocaches this morning and a very enjoyable adventure it was
Struggled with branches wanting to poke my eyes out, probably should have attacked this from another angle

Came here last week and a local school had their sports day, so had to abandon. Quick find today. TFTC
On the way to Mornington with +Wife to meet up with our daughter for dinner.
I last saw Bella when I gave her away at her wedding in 2012.
We were picking up our takeaway order in Beaumaris and had half an hour to spare. Chris suggested grabbing a local cache so here we are.
Found by the headlights of the Prado, under the watchful eye of Mr Lion.
Thanks gmj3191. A most memorable find indeed! [^]

This one was a bit of a pain. I noticed it in like 5 seconds and couldn’t get the lid off for like 2 minutes. Despite that, the cache was in good condition.

We are in the area as Wednesdays we provide a taxi service to get our grandchildren to and from school/kindergarten. And 6 hours to fill in! Stop number 5. Quite an impressive plant - nice flowers and interesting seed pods. The search took a few minutes but we soon had the container. Thanks to gmj3191 for the cache.
After the Pi/Pie event nearby we headed to some nearby caches we hadn’t found yet. This was next and we headed towards it after finishing the nearby multi. GMelb spotted the cache straight away and could see the lid wasn’t on properly, so unfortunately the logbook is very damp and either needs drying out or replacing.

My dog tag was here so I thought I'd pick her up! Great spot for a cache and great container, although a little damp inside. Signed log and took the trackable. Tftc!
The local birds didn't seem to happy to have us snooping about here but the cache didn't take long to find and we left them alone. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find as the nearby birds squawked at us. Perhaps a nest nearby?
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, gmj3191

I was here for a meetup with some friends and decided to come early and find some caches. I had to look twice for this one before I saw it!
After finding the nearby multi, we headed back to the car and were pleasantly surprised to see we were only 6m from this cache.
It turned out to be a very quick find:)
Thanks gmj3191. We also have these beautiful birds in our garden.

It's been quite a while since I did more than a handful of caches in a day. Now that we have a 15 km.s limit, there are more that I can do. Today I mainly targetted caches that were good for the Peaks souvenirs. I found this one on about my 2nd or 3rd circumnavigation of said bush.
My thanks to gmj3191 for the cache.
My thanks to gmj3191 for the cache.
Skirting the edge of my 10km zone I ventured into this park today to pick up this cache. A nice cool sunny day sure brings out the locals. None of which noticed what I was doing. TFTC
We quickly spotted the cache but were annoyed to discover that the last finder did not bother to screw the lid back on the container, and just left the base sitting there. The container was FULL of about 50 earwigs, which we emptied onto the ground so they could scuttle off to find a new home. Signed log, and screwed the container back together, which is how it should have been left in the first place. TFTC!
#1878 Out on a 5km radius safe ride and passed by here having read that the temporary fence had been relocated. Nearest muggles were a couple of hundred metres away. TNLNSL. TFTC gmj3191. Log was ever so slightly damp but today was overcast and no chance of sitting it in the sun for a while.
Walking for exercise today - this area made a nice change and it was good to grab a cache at the same time. The tree is flowering and the flowers are glorious! Thanks for the cache.
There weren't many people around, so we were able to rummage around and collect the prize.
Thanks gmj3191 for all these caches that you have placed around.

In between finding one of the local multi and puzzle caches I thought I ought to collect this one as well. Fortunately observable before you have to dive in to access it thus minimising that awkward period of 'What is that man doing headfirst in the vegetation' that every muggle must be wondering.
Not much caching in the last few weeks for obvious reasons but this one was within my 10km radius so I decided to visit this park for some exercise. I have certainly been here for a previous cache over the years and needed a number of visits for one near here if memory serves correctly. No such trouble this evening as I arrived shortly after dark and all was quiet in the area. A quick look in the target zone and a familiar gmj3191 was spotted and I was able to grab it. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache gmj3191. Great to have a reason to revisit this park and off to the nearby multi once I was done here.
We were out for a walk and noticed that the fencing had been adjusted, meaning that GZ was now outside the perimeter. With the playground out of action, and no work occurring today, we were able to stick our heads in to take a look. The container was just resting precariously on a branch near the attachment, so after signing the log, we reattached the container to make sure it was safely held back in place again.
Thanks to gmj3191 for the cache.

The cache is surrounded by a protective wire mesh fence while some nearby park improvements are in progress.
Hopefully, this won't be for too long.
