Our last day in the area before we head home tomorrow. A beautiful day to find some more caches here. Found with Earthlight and Shandyk, and signed the log EGS. TFTC.
Taking a few days off work so I can get away to Mildura for a long weekend. My first time in Mildura so lots of geocaches to tackle to keep me entertained. Perfect conditions to be outside and geocaching. This short trail of caches with high favourite points was high on my to do list. I was not disappointed. Every one unique and well crafted. Certainly put a big smile on my face. A favourite point from me. Thank you sir_spectre, for placing S.A. sends it's thanks for the geocaching community.# # #15774 # #
Up in Mildura with LittleBoss2, Geo the puppy for a week of caching and golf. Today was a quieter day than yesterday where we managed to almost complete the Paddle Steamer series. Today we introduced a couple of Octogenarian friends to our game who completely outdid us in their ingenuity to solve various clever caches in this town with more than its share. This was thankfully a quick find with the accurate coords and a well placed container.
Found with Bogonghazy, sorceysal, geo dog whilst caching in Mildura. Great cache to introduce some friends who spent the morning with us. Thanks for placing the geocache
A nice straightforward puzzle to solve and cache to find. Our first full day in Mildura and after a quite cool night some beautiful Autumn weather has been really turned on. Blue skies and warm sunshine. We are staying a bit out of town but with quite a number of well-favourited caches nearby in the bushland and a variety of types we thought we would head out amongst them and try our luck. They were located along a range of bush tracks amongst the scrub so while dusty, fun to drive. Sadly no emus of kangaroos were spotted today to add to the fun.It truly was a great day caching with a fun range of gadget caches added into the mix. We awarded quite a few favourites to celebrate them, especially as we managed to solve them all.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache sir_spectre.**SKI Pair****
Thanks to sir_spectre for this puzzle. We were enjoying our wander around this bushland area.A favourite from us.
Wow what a great cache sir_spectre, and such fun to find. Buddy the geodog helped us with this one. Found on May 13, 2024. # 9171
Found while having a look around the area today, staying in Mildura for the week. A nice themed cache on the trail out here, thanks for hiding.Find #6978 on 18 Apr 2024.TFTC sir_spectre!
I came out to do this series and thoroughly enjoyed my time. Ill have to definitely come back to do more caching in Mildura. This one was a quick find and sign of the log TFTC and the effort that has gone into cache variety and construction.
Came out here this afternoon to collect more cache in this area. This was one we signed. TFTC sir_spectre
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I am heading back home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays good for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there. Thanks sir_spectre for the puzzle and the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
I worked out this puzzle ages ago and as I was out with kbucky icking up a few caches around Mildura, I thought we would wander over to grab this one. Its very wet so umbrellas are out TOTT today . I was quite cautious on the dirt roads as I didn't want to get bogged (been there, done that) This was a great little puzzle and cache. Thanks to sir_spectre for putting out and maintaining this one
A good puzzle and quality cache. It was rewarding to find your cache after driving through rain and ever enlarging puddles and wet grass.tftc sir_spectre
Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and I took the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for them. The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first QOGM and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I must start heading towards home but Im also taking the very long way around back to Victoria. So this was state # 4 for me on this trip.Roaming Howie is joined me on part of the Strzelecki track and left me at Camerons Corner.I continued on down the track and and eventually reached the black stuff again and stayed at Copley then Wentworth. The question for the day is will I reach Melbourne or make my holiday last one more night. After realising that there was a few more caches in this great area to do the decision was made I wont be home tonight.I too say thank you for all of the great caches around Mildura.Still plenty of them for me to do.Thanks sir_specture TFTC.
Puzzle was solved just prior to our trip to Mildura. This is such a great area, but unfortunately we only had time to collect a few and concentrated on large caches.Very apt container found at GZ. Thanks for placing this fun cache sir_spectre.
We stopped at Mildura for four nights while on our journey to North QLD.
Here's one to find today. Thank you for placing the cache sir_spectre.

Found with nannynomad, MazzyMay and Joybell53 and logged as DYLZ for short (the last letters of our caching names.) Today we decided to head out for some gadget caches and this solved puzzle was in the area so we found it too. TFTC
You definitely float or paddle down the river with this one. Thanks sir_spectre for this apt cache
Puzzle quickly solved by Mrs TiedyeSmileys the day before coming to these caches.

Found while on a fabulous weekend away to Mildura to complete the Paddlesteamer & Turtle geoarts, and various trads, multis + gadget caches. The Canberra crew included Nibletricecakes, joolay, kittykatch, youban, dty73, tankengine, barb2e, Klsarc & albida33. We signed as Mildura May Adventures 23 (MMA23). Unless otherwise mentioned, all caches were quickly found. TFTC.
Today was our second day adventuring together in the district. Out to tackle the Paddlesteamer and as many other amazing caches as we can with a lovely bunch of Canberra friends! Always fantastic to be able to get away for a long weekend of caching together. Loved the red dust and the crazy caching trails. Thanks for all the hard work from COs make and maintain these caches. Called our trip the Mildura May Adventure so signed as MMA or MMA23 today. Great to be caching with you KLSARC, GLISS! Albida33, Kittykatch, Barb2e, Joolay, Tankengine, DTY73 and youban. Thanks for a great weekend everyone. Thanks for the cache.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 54. Mildura Paddle Steamer Trip Day 3. After a huge day, the MAA team (Mildura Autumn Attack and we consisted of Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Tankengine, dty73, Youban and Albida33) headed back to the Paddle Steamer to finish the last bit. It did not take too long, and the whole series has been a joy of accurate and present caches. The next goal was the various Gadget caches rear Red Cliffs and then by the Gliding field. The day was completed with an all out effort to get to all the Turtle caches. Plenty of drive bys, but a few fun walks on muddy flats. This was another great series. A few of us gathered for take away dinner and retired for what rest could be achieved before tomorrows activities.
The various themed and gadget style caches we did today were all great and enjoyable after the series caching we have mostly done.
Thanks for the cache sir_spectre

Tankengine, Youban and I came to Mildura for the weekend for a bit of caching with a bunch of other Canberrans (signed caches we did together as - MMA. Which I think stood for Mildura May Adventurers. It’s so hard coming up with group names).
We had an awesome time and ate at some really nice places, met a whole bunch of lovely people and found some great caches. Thanks to all the COs for their placements and my caching friends for their help and great company.
This cache: well that was a lovely surprise. Nice work on the puzzle and matching container. Tftc!!!

The puzzle had been solved some time previously so this was our next cache. Another nice big one with a creative SA touch. The variety of hides in the reserve make a fun day of caching. TFTC sir_spectre.

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
Noticing the large number of favourite points awarded. I drove to caches around the Mildura glider airfield. It turned out to be a great afternoon driving across the sand tracks to some very creative caches. I had solved this cache as part of the PS series. Today I was in the area to make a good find.

Headed out for a weekend afternoon of caching with the fam. Started out heading for another cache but this one was on the map so we made a quick stop. Geokids enjoyed the container.

#16757 - 5:49:00 PM; After spending the night in Mildura on the way home from South Australia after collecting the geomobile with Sol de lune, today we set out to collect some of the caches in the area we didn't pick up on previous visits. We managed a good variety of caches and cache types as we made our way around the city and then further afield in our quest. All caches were found in good order considering the recent weather conditions and were returned as found once we had signed the log. Solved the knotty problems and a quick find and sign once we reached GZ! TFTC sir_spectre
In town with LuckyL10n before heading back to Canberra and we hit up this line of caches as they seemed to be 'favourties'.
No issues here and the good size container was soon spotted and in hand.
Many thanks for this one sir_spectre....

Found Ok after a drive along a bush road with lots of muddy and wet patches. Going by the logbook not many have ventured this way. Bit of a pity because it is a great geocache. TFTC.
Out and about caching in the bush near Mildura targeting this series, all with high favourite points, and found they really lived up to it! Thank you for your imagination and the work you've put into the construction
Full time nomads visiting Mildura to finally tackle the Paddle Steamer with iluvtrekking. Of course we have to stop in town and find some caches here before we go 'bush'. Great weather this morning so the 'Mr' Team headed out to add some smilies to our lists whilst the 'Mrs' did important stuff like sleeping in, shopping, washing and oh resting. The afternoon thunderstorm was not on the plan so looks like we will be delayed some. Yet more fave points dished out today.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful day and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
Day 4 of my 5 day Geocaching long weekend away. This would be Find Number 18 of 31 for the day.

fitzy_1965 and I decided to head away for an extra long weekend so that we could attend the Tri-State Community Celebration Events along with the other events that have popped up.
A fantastic time was had and a nice number of caches found. Thanks to all the CO's for holding the events and/or placing the caches.
We spent the night at the Euston Club Hotel: an amazing room for only $90 and thanks to Service NSW for pitching in the other $50. Up early to make the trek back to Mildura for breakfast at a local cafe. A tad noisy but not complaining about the company! Whilst at breakfast we made plans to Yushaun & Laighside Legends to do the Lock Island wherigo and a couple more along the way then the new virtual before heading back to NSW for the morning CITO. Next was a couple of multis before tackling more of the Turtle series. Looking for something to do before heading to the last event for the weekend, we stumbled this fantastic area dotted with 4Moule/TheMoules gadget caches. Just fantastic with lots of favourite points given out!
It was wonderful to see cachers we hadn't seen for a while and to meet several new ones. There ended up being cachers from SA, Vic, NSW, Tas & QLD! Amazing!

28,505. Found with minniek while visiting the region for the Tri-State Community Events/International Geocaching Day weekend.
When minniek and I heard about the huge 8 event weekend (4 Community Celebration Events, 3 'normal' events and 1 CITO) to be held in Berri/Wentworth/Mildura/Euston celebrating International Geocaching Day, we knew that we wanted to be there. After two very busy days, we enjoyed the hour sitting enjoying a coffee and a nice breakfast to get the energy for the day ahead. We then headed out for more caches. This was the next one. We started to head down to the Camping CCE location when we discovered this group of amazing caches. Each and every one a great cache. Quick find at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one.
Thanks sir_spectre !! I quite enjoyed the drive around here in our quasi-4WD

During a previous visit to Mildura, we completed the excellent Paddle Steamers series. So when two tribute caches were published, they became high priority for our next visit which was this weekend.
The puzzle was solved quite quickly. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks sie_spectre for the cache and for publishing the tribute.

( it's only 55 km from our B&B one way ) for another geocaching event then a brief sleep. Then another geocaching event before Michells&hound hosted a CITO event in NSW. Of course there was time for finding of finding caches over 60 in the first day. Thanking those co for placing them and extra, extra thanks for the co for placing the gadget/field puzzle/creative caches. I left some fav points to let you know to keep up the good work. The way home was longer than getting there since we stopped and solved/stamped some multi's and off set letter box hides. Another good weekend away for us.

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Wow - no chance of muggles causing grief today! Looks like a perfect spot to hide all sorts of goodies or even unsavoury thingos whatever that might be. Headed out on the MTB despite the rising temp gauge and in psychological need of a destination AND the lure of a few large caches for a wee mission. So after solving the puzzle here I am. TFTC and the fun of exploring new territory. Pretty different to home base in the mountains!

Catching up with a missed log
We were in Mildura to do the fireworks for the New Years Eve festivities and then we have plans to head over to SA to catch up with Honeysucker, Liz & Bruce & Chrispy and we thought that we would try and get three caches in the each of three states in one day.
Once we got here and saw the quality of the hides we decided to make time for a few more of these.
We continued following the GPSr until we got close to gz and went for a short walk and were rewarded with a real treasure. It's not very often that you find large caches these days . We happily added our name to the log book and replaced everything securely as it was before heading off to the next one.
Thanks again sir_spectre for the cache.

Solved this one back at home and realised that it was nearby when doing other caches nearby. An easy solve and an easy find. Great themed container(s). TFTC
We had heard there are some really cool caches out near the airport, so we made our way to check them out. While out here checking out the gadget caches, this one had to be found as well. With the sparse vegetation, you can find your way to the cache quite easily. This is a great tribute to the Paddlesteamer series south of Mildura (which we have left to do another day, as in we want to do the lot in a day). A very nicely themed and well-constructed cache. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, sir_spectre.
Logging as a Beta Tester. This cache was hidden at the end of a long weekend of caching with the Turtle series and the Paddlesteamer series the bulk of our finds.
We'll we finally found made our way out here. We solved this puzzle when it was. Initially published but with everything going on we hadn't got out here to log it.
But today was the day, with regional Vic able to leave the house again and all the family sporting commitments still on holiday we had no excuses.
The area is well known to us thanks to the amazing 4Moule caches in the near vicinity so we quickly made our way to GZ and we're suitably impressed with the cache hide. Very creative. Dropped TB

In Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and The Empire.
After finishing off the GOT series it was time for Me to do the turtle series, it was a little challenging getting to some locations but I managed to get them all done.
The highlight for the day were the fantastic gadget caches in the area.
Thanks sir_spectre for the cache.

Found this one this afternoon while cleaning up a few last caches out along this trail. Soon worked out the co-ord's and managed to make this a quick find. Nice cache container sir spectre, thanks for cache.

After a few days in Mildura with Happy pants, Happy Feet, The Empire, omegaman1971 and Rebel Acts it was time to grab a coffee and grab the last few caches before heading for home. It was a great time away with nice weather and good company. A good time was had by all.
SO - with the prerequisite coffee and car fueled, we headed back to grab the few remaining caches in this area.
Thanks for the cache sir_spectre. Appreciate your efforts.
Stamped log and returned as found.

This was a great opportunity to get away with some caching friends in Mildura. The plan was to hit some of the local trails and geo art. There was many other hides discovered, with some really great containers and hides in the area.
A great little puzzle and fantastic hide. Always great to see something different and reward the effort put in, so given a fav.
Thanks sir_spectre for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Here in Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet and Happy Pants.
Once we'd finished finding the nearby turtle series geoart, we were keen to keep on caching into the late afternoon, then on and into the night. "There's another one over here" was the saying heard most today. We found a plethora of different cache types, hide styles and were happily perplexed at some GZs! I was also able to dish out many favourite points. Thanks for the cache sir_spectre.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
After completing the PS series we split up as The Drovers had already done the ones we were about to do.
We still signed the logs as either The Mob or put our initials in the logs.
There were a lot of different kinds of hides here which really good. Nice to have something a little different.
Solved before leaving home and looks like we were *2TF* on this one, very surprising.

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
Was day 3 of our trip away and today we were back out to finish off the PS Series with "The Mob" consisting of GoodLook, The Drovers, FurfacesLL, LiB and myself. We managed to get heaps done yesterday so only needed a couple hours out on these today then The Drovers went off to do some caches they had left unfound whilst the rest of us went to do some around Mildura/Red Cliffs that they had already found.
Had this one solved prior to heading over, was a pretty easy solve too. Since we were in the area, we just HAD to collect. Turns out we are the *2TF* on this puzzle, wow and its been out for a month.
Thanks for the hides sir_spectre And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

A straight forward puzzle and an easy find.
FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, LíB and myself found a number of caches outside of the Paddle steamer and Turtle Series whilst in the area.
Most of the caches are stamped as The Mob (consisting of The Drovers, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, and myself), however a handful contain our own caching names or initials.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip was spontaneously planned and I was able to pull together a number of my caching friends who hadn't cached together before to form "The Mob".
LíB and I started in SA, drove to Victoria and ended our trip in SA; FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild came from Canberra and The Drovers began their journey from NSW; and then a few days later, feathertop from Victoria, joined us to complete the On Your Bike Series and other caches in SA.
We filled our days with piling in cars, hard core caching, Adventure Labs, crazy funny CB radio chatter, some laughter, some tense moments (OMG some of the ladder and tree climbs on this trip were crazy!), lots of lovely meals and even live music from a band called "Kung Fu Jesus" - nope, that is no joke.
We had hot weather each day (well into 30s), so I am thrilled that I now own a car fridge to keep the drinks icy cold (loving them at about 1 degree celcius).
A sincere thanks to for placing this cache.

Eeeiiikkk it’s always exciting to see a new geocache pop up on the map! A mystery! Got to work with the help of Google to work out where the geocache container location would be. With it solved and school and Kinder drop off done I headed out to try my luck! Always so beautiful out here! My daily exercise as a teen was going for a walk in this bushland. The tree at gz was impressive and so were the creatures that live under it! Great geocache container construction! With the log signed and everything popped back in place I took a moment to be shock faced at the group of caterpillars nearby! I first thought it was a dead animal, but it was an amazing group of hairy caterpillars! Had to take a photo to show the kids this afternoon! Thanks for placing this here for us to find! {FTF} @9:01am
