Nice spot! One clasp of the cache has broken off though, may not be watertight anymore
Thanks for this awesome cache. Struggled to find the hobbit hole but then thought when would I put a hole if I was a hobbit and then it was a simple find after that.
This was the seventh of fourteen finds for the evening. It was a quick and easy find. It was so beautiful down at this end of the reserve with the rising moon in the east and the remains of the day in the west. I was so happy to be here. Thanks for the cache, RXYI! * * * * *I set out after work the start finding the geocaches in this area. The sun was just setting as I found the first one; with every cache that I found after dark, I decided to keep going. I finished the series and hour after dark, by the light of the waxing gibbous moon. It was a glorious night out, and I was happy watching the stars in the heavens and my moonshadow on the path ahead of me.
10th of 14 found today.FFP and I had thought about coming out here on a 32 degree day and thankful we didn't. Warm enough this morning and with the added no shade ([^]) would have been unpleasant.Decided to grab the remaining ones here that I have showing on the GSAK filter. Pity the area is not particularly looked after s the open landscape is pleasant to walk through, noting the little shade. Most finds were quick which is one reason I prefer nature park hides to the urban variety. Wandered mostly off track watched by various parrots and mobs of kangaroos. Tried my best not to disturb the numerous orb webs but sometimes it just happens, and other times you bounce off. Sorry for the mostly generic logs. The cache's lid rim is broken but serviceable and the cache is still dry.TFTC RXYI and the ear.
Our walk continued and we walked down past the fence line. Beautiful mountains and some cliffs in the distance and the river now not too far away.We found this one safe and dry, although it was out in the Open and we have hidden it well. Above us to galahs watched while we signed the log. Thanks RXYIDomsky
Last cache of the day. After looking around in the wrong spot we got to the right spot and quickly found the cache. TFTC
Haven't been out caching for a long time so decided to head out today. I haven't done the Kama caches before as it is a no go zone for the geodog. I no longer have the geodog so thought I would head our for a good walk. This was the eighth cache of 13 for the day.

A perfectly lovely afternoon to be wandering around enjoying the scenery with the bonus of company and caching. Found with barb2e, Kittykatch and Albida33.
Thanks for getting me out and about RXYI

Found on a walk in this lovely reserve. Great afternoon to be out walking with mates. Thanks for hiding this cache RXYI for me and others to find.
fitzy_1965 & I joined FurfacesLL, RapidlyWild & albida33 for a nice jaunt around Kama after work this afternoon.
It was a great couple of hours with the wind blowing just enough to keep us cool.
All caches found quickly and easily.

Arranged a day to go for a wander around Kama with fitzy_1965, minniek, Rapidlywild and albida33 to collect a few caches, we all had all the same ones to collect whereas albida33 only had the one new puzzle out here to collect.
All caches were found in good order. Lots of chatting on our journey which made for an enjoyable wander after work.
Quick find at this one and we were on our way.
Thanks for the hide RXYI

Received an invite to join minniek, FurfacesLL, fitzy_1965 and albida33 on a little stroll around Kama Reserve. Was a nice Friday afternoon stroll with plenty of chatter.
As we continued our wander, this was next in line. Log was signed and cache replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache placement RXYI and thanks for the invite along

29,956. Found with minniek, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild and albida33 during a (thankfully) short lop around Kama this afternoon.
The clan gathered for this planned walk, and unfortunately for me I started to feel crook straight away. I struggled along for the walk, but was really just a passenger for it. The main aim was the new-ish HMTI Kama, but most of us had eight Trads on offer as well. I usually love walking around here but not today. This was the next find and we soon had cache in hand. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks RXYI !!

Out with runner5ive on a sunny day to grab some caches and explore new areas of Canberra. (Well new for us).
Sadly nobody home but the cache was there.

Spotted this one (#6 in Kama for us) from a distance and then made our approach to greet the hobbit. Pleasant spot here with the frogs croaking nearby. Thanks for the cache

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Obviously approached from the right direction as I spotted the cache well before arriving at GZ. A pretty small Hobbit lives here. TFTC RXYI
Found on a big day of walkin'! The cache was out in the open when I found this but it was pretty easy to see where to replace it! Fun idea. TNLNSL. TFTC RXYI!
First time walking all the way down to the river here, it's a weird nature reserve, post-agricultural, some infrastructure, but also wild and beautiful. Startled a red-bellied black snake that was crossing the unsealed road at the bottom while I was coming back up from the river and we hissed at each other then went our separate ways. Slight drizzle at times which I kind of enjoy. Only saw two other people the 3.5 hours I was out here, jogging the unsealed road.
#12578 - 1:30:00 PM; The daily cache find challenge saw me head out on a solo mission around the Kama Reserve and Whitlam thisafternoon. Managed 10 from 10 to get the numbers I needed, which also ticked me over to my most productive caching year! After extracting myself from the swamp, I made it over to this cache, spotting the hole and the cache on the approach for a quick find and sign, unlike my previous effort! TFTC RXYI
Came the direct route from the previous cache...and that was a very very big mistake. Place was a bog and I lost my boots to the mud on a couple of occasions. Problem was you can't see the bog until you're in it. Anyway, eventually arrived a GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Log was signed, boots cleaned up a bit, shoelaces tightened and I was off for the last one.
Thanks for another one RXYI.....

Went for a walk around Kama today to pick up a few of the new caches- the paper daisies and native flowers are in full bloom and very impressive ️
Couldn't find it. My battery was beginning to get low and there were too many spots
A bit of a stumble around the area for this one as the coordinates placed us a bit out but eventually found and logged TFTC
Taking a walk in the reserve this morning ducked off the track to find this one. On approach the potential hiding spots were limitless, however glad to say I found it with ease. Thanks RXYI for the cache.
OHHHHH Look Beautiful full SUNNY .. I take geoDog drive to country and find few caches... all caches safe hide well... tks
I had a bit of time and decided to stop here for a walk and a cache. I parked and headed into the reserve. The ground was still very wet and for some of the journey it was like walking through a shallow swamp. I saw some kangaroos, or maybe they were swamp wallabies? Once at GZ I started searching and soon spotted a TOTT and then the hide. CIH, I stamped the log and all was returned. Headed back to the car, seeing more roos, and continued on my way. TFTC.

"Food was cold, the burrito was so poorly wrapped that it looks like it was just scrunched up in a ball and it fell apart whilst trying to eat it. There were no serviettes to clean up the mess created by the explosion the bad wrapping created. There was too much garlic sauce that made it even messier to clean up. I felt that the burrito artist had very little idea what an actual burrito looks like and how it's meant to function in the whole fast-food convenience world. The one saving grace was that it actually tasted like a burrito. I will not be ordering from this store again for quite some time."
Do you think you're living an ordinary life? You are so mistaken it's difficult to even explain. The mere fact that you exist makes you extraordinary. The odds of you existing are less than winning the lottery, but here you are. Are you going to let this extraordinary opportunity pass?
At that moment he had a thought that he'd never imagine he'd consider. "I could just cheat," he thought, "and that would solve the problem." He tried to move on from the thought but it was persistent. It didn't want to go away and, if he was honest with himself, he didn't want it to.
She patiently waited for his number to be called. She had no desire to be there, but her mom had insisted that she go. She's resisted at first, but over time she realized it was simply easier to appease her and go. Mom tended to be that way. She would keep insisting until you wore down and did what she wanted. So, here she sat, patiently waiting for her number to be called.

It was a bright morning after a wet night, and I decided to head into the Kama reserve for the five new caches that are now here. It was a bit wet underfoot in places, but it all went smoothly and did not take as long as I expected to get them done today.
This one was a bit further from the GZ I had than expected, but the required tool was in place and it was soon extracted and signed.
Thanks for the cache RXYI

Some new caches since I have been last to this reserve. A good time to comw and do another walk this time I had some containers of my own with me to maybe put a cache out here if I found the right spot. I like this reserve and am happy to came back for another hike.
Like fishing a bun out of the oven. Tonks much appreciated.
Thank you RXYI for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

#7347 A post-lunch trip down to Kama on a very pleasant late autumn day. It's been years since I've been here having grabbed pretty much everything on previous visits, but plenty of new caches now.
The extraction tool was unexpected ! Works just fine though.
Thanks RXYI

Met up with Mountainsbeyond and GeoPartner at 9.15am for a couple of short walks close to home. We walked just under 1.5 hours for approximately 5+ kms with just 123m ascent/descent. It was a beautiful crisp Autumn morning with birds chatting all around including a variety of parrots , cockatoos and the fabulous kookaburras. Loved the big black cattle in the paddock nearby. Ahhrr! Not forgottening those wonderful kangaroos . A pleasant morning with very pleasant company.
Quick and easy find. TFTC RXYI.

I met up with StarsAlign and GeoPartner on the side of William Hovell Drive in the small northbound parking area, then we set off for a 5.5km loop around Kama on beautiful day finding the caches that were placed since our last visits. Expansive views to the south over the plains to the mountains, and closer the new development at Whitlam. Lots of thistles, birds, roos and even some healthy-looking livestock in the adjacent paddock. Great walk, great company.
This cache was a quick and easy find at GZ, thanks RXYI. Our approach wasn't the recommended one but the thistles weren't too bad.

Almost couldn't reach the cache with my hand but my fingers just caught the edge of it and dragged it out of its hole. TFTC
Out for a morning romp with Aquilus1 and Delta Response Team to collect a the newest cache set out here.
Took a while to narrow down GZ, maybe the fog playing up with the compass on our phones, but DRT found it in the end. Very cute spot. Tftc RXYI!!!

Out with dty73 and Delta Response Team for a walk about Kama for the few newer caches. We left at a very decent morning time but still quite foggy and wet underfoot. Followed the trails as best we could for most of it but the longer wet grass had us all with wet feet and legs by the time we reached the car again!
Pleasant mornings walk as we picked our way through between caches, only the one DNF - since when did red belly black snacks live under bark in trees?! That one will wait for another day! Thanks for the cache RXYI, we did circle about looking in all the wrong places for a while before DRT wandered a little further across and made the find.

Cache 7494 on 29 Apr 2021.
An early morning wander in the Kama reserve with TikvaNZ to pick up the caches placed recently. It was fresh but also lovely with the fog in the distance and the Roos jumping away from us.
Again we circled a bit looking for this one. The hint could have been a bit simpler, but we got there in the end.
Thanks RXYI for the cache and the fun!

A pleasant early morning caching wander with AngelG27. Fresh, calm, foggy and many roos around. Wandered around for a while looking here and there before AngelG27 spotted the cache in a spot I had overlooked. TFTC.

Looks like an animal might have covered up this cache even better! The natural camoflague hiding it, didn't look all that natural at all. Looked like something an animal had dug up and covered it with!
But it is still in absolutely perfect condition, and yet another high quality container used.
Many thanks!
