I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.

I saw this one was about to go bye byes so stopped by to have a check. Yeah, nah, I can't find it either.

Hi shhmule

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

I was here a few weeks ago, but didn't see anything with my two pupils. I got some sage advice from a PF, but even this did not help me find the cx when I returned today.

Out for an early morning walk while waiting for the ferry. Not many people about, and none at all at GZ. This cache took me way too long, partly because there is an obvious structure where the cache ought to be. I checked it over three times before decidimg I had checked it enough - the cache is not there. In the end I decided it was behind the big obstruction - it was that obstruction that made me ignore that location to start with. Moved the obstruction out of the way and immediately found the cache. Nice. Moved the obstruction back and wandered back to the backpackers, Collected my things and walked down to the ferry. Seems I am still way to early - the ferry terminal is still closed!

Tftc easy find

Sad to see such a nice spot no longer in use. Mrs Sobad noted that the CO had a different name in mind - the one used was more intriguing. Less than 500m from our accommodation so she wandered here while SoBad (the driver)) relaxed with a cuppa. Heading to the other island tomorrow and the original plan was to drive over tomorrow morning until the weather bomb. It would have been fine to do that as it only took 2 hours from Nelson. So time to find a few caches while staying. This was the first.
Thanks.

The gps was pointing to the obvious structure but we couldn't find anything. The logs on my gps indicated it should be easy so we left. While doing another cache I read more logs and had that ah ha moment so back we went for an instant find. Not quite at the height in the hint. Thanks shhmule

Stayed nearby so rude not to stop and make the find...stopped off before continuign on to Nelson, onwards.

Interesting history, shame this building is sitting unused - no doubt the church is watching property prices with interest - or perhaps they are fettered by the land being donated etc. Good camo in a perfectly quiet spot. Be sure to return other 'items' as found. All in good order. TFTC Smile

Quick find on our walk after taking a Stevenson Collection Gallery tour. This spot that brings back lots of memories for me — I attended this school a wee while ago, back when it had a few more pupils than two! Thanks for the hide Smile

It's time to start climbing another peak and since we haven't been "over the hill" for sometime Marlborough was our designated focus today.
After spending some time at the look out so grandson could watch a ferry depart we arrived here reluctant to leave the shade of the obvious hunting spot to actually look for the cache. When that didn't produce any log to sign we widened our search and soon enough Hazedarus found what we were looking for.
Thank you sshmule.

03-Jan-22
Today we start climbing yet another peak. A monopoly cache requirement, a new place to visit for Noah, some cache maintenance and enough new caches to find around Blenheim made it easy to decide for a trip over the hill.
Just like cachers before us we carefully inspected all the places where the cache wasn't. Then the aha moment and almost immediately the cache was in hand. Thank you shhmule

Out for a walk, quick easy find.tftc

24-Oct-21
Since my original plan of being in Auckland this long weekend is not possible, I decided to head South for a couple of days. Took the ferry from Wellington yesterday morning, picked up a cheap rental, and off I went. I was targeting some specific caches for a personal goal as well as some fun mystery solves and some just 'cos. This was one of them.
All good here, found without too much trouble. TFTC

A nice quick find once we stopped fixating on the obvious, thanks.

Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. We of course had to get there first, and today we are actually getting on the ferry! A couple of newish caches in Picton so we picked these up before the sailing. The weather was fine and sunny, this morning and the crossing looks to be reasonable. We're still having a lovely time.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Didn't know about this school and my English junior schools were C f E; I used to be fascinated by the vicar's cassock when he came to talk on Mondays! Got the cache after a while. Tftc.

This seemed simple enough but eluded me.

A quick easy find in the extra time available due to our ferry sailing's being delayed. TFTC

I spent several days at this school in a previous life -,probably around 15 years ago . I seem to remember it was going pretty well at that time. TFTC # 17,484

I have stayed just down the street many times over the years but never realised there was a school here. Mind you, if I went for a walk I guess I headed either for the waterfront or the shops. - - In pre geocaching days of course. It's quite amazing the small towns that had Catholic schools in the past, how times change. The two storey building behind looks wonderful. I hope it is looked after going forward.
It's also amazing that the school got right down to two pupils before it closed. Not much economy in that.
Thanks for showing me this spot Smile

I arrived in town rather early for my boat, so a-geocaching I went, leaving a muggle friend to sleep off the drive. This was my first stop, a quick find on a still quite nice-looking school ground - hopefully a use is found for it! Tftc

He made the grab though as I was a little height challenged for this one lol

27-Jun-21
Nice start to the day

27-Jun-21
This took a while. I had 2 metres at one stage at the far end of the obvious structure, so focused in and around there too long.
In the end RG had the better geo-senses and spotted it, but I had to do the stretch to retrieve.
Interesting spot. I wonder if they are letting some local groups use the space? TFTC shhmule.

25-Jun-21
It's there, May not be where you would be expect but hint and geosenses can work together. All good tftc

20-Jun-21
Hmm. It might be there but I couldn't find it today.

Took our family group of six quite a while to find this one. Got a bit distracted checking too many wrong places. Thanks for bringing us here and the challenge!

Stopped here briefly this morning on the way to the ferry. I remember this school from my childhood days in Picton, I had several friends who went there. Found the well hidden cache fairly quickly. Signed log, TFTC!

I'm so glad I saw this school. Thank you for bringing me here.

Spent last night in Anakiwa and then on my way home I decided to come the Picton way and maybe bag a couple of FTF's - but no there was a signature already on the log book.
I initially parked the wrong side of the tracks before realising where I was supposed to be... saw a car near GZ so I waited till they left before moving the car.
Had a bit of a scramble at GZ before having to reach a bit more to grab cache.

Turned the computer on late this morning and found 2 caches in my back yeard. So with the sun up Im out the door with the co-ords manually loaded in Nigel Navigator. I know about this school. My next door neighbours child was one of the two last students. Quick snag and tag here and yes and {FTF} in the bag. Thanks Shhmule. Now off down the road.

I had been holidaying over in Kaiteriteri for the long weekend when a bunch of local caches were released which were all grabbed pretty quickly with some intense FTF chases going on. This one was released a little later, so after returning our caravan to its storage in Grovetown, I checked to see if there were any logs on it yet. There weren't any, so I turned left instead of right and headed to Picton. Shortly after making that decision the low fuel warning light popped up on the dash... 'ohttre'. Although there were refuelling options avaialable, the only one with a discount scheme I participated in was back in Blenheim, should I risk it? Hey a FTF is available, you'll be right said the evil angel on my right shoulder.

Once at GZ it took a few minutes for the cache to reveal itself only to find not one, but two logs in it double 'ohttre'. The FTF went to a notorious local renown for late logging, but the 2TF should have known better. On checking my emails, I saw the 2TFer had indeed logged a find while I was on the road to GZ.

With head hung low in disappointment, I headed back to Blenheim and arrived at my 'go to' fuel outlet with 13 kilometres to empty showing on the gauge.

TFTC shhmule, I bet you didn't get a FP for this one from the FTFer
