Logs
Found after a short search. Felt like the house opposite would have a good view if any muggles about. Thankfully none spotted. TFTC
Located at 11:50am. #1557.Full log to follow.??????? ???????! Baruch Hashem! TFTC! Much obliged for the placement FlowerChild2117 And Gould!Kindest Regards, - Alephroom.
I don't do heights of any sort, but the width of the blocks made me feel secure. Read the previous log and turned away from the wall, and spotted it immediately (and luckily). For the next potential finder, I'll say to look for anomalies in colour. TFTC and why not have a fave point.
WAY to exposed to the neighbours who were looking May have to choose a better time to come back
It would have been a third DNF for me if I hadn't called a PAF, finally put to rest, ignore the rocks.... Thanks.
Found it. Well, I found the log sheet all tattered and torn, but no camo and container. I has some "natural/fake" camo in the car, so have put that in place where the previous finder who was with me said it should go. TFTC
Searched for a while today, thought we found part of what it may have been after speaking to a paf. No luck on the cache though.
Find # 10222Nice quick find after stepping up. TFTC flowerchild2117 and Gould 13 January 2024 14:39
A nice find on a sunny, yet windy day.I thought I'd give this one another go after recent found logs. Something must be different as I found it easily out in the open. It couldn't have been there before! Thanks for the cache.
Tftc. Gathered across the road for a Father’s Day function , so decided with Wahly to come for another look.
On our way home from the Southern Highlands, a few last caches on the way. Great views from this spot.
Thought from the ratings it may take a while, but turned out to be a quick find
Thanks for maintaining the cache

Quick find after lunch at the pub with no beer for those who saw the documentary years ago! New Estate hey! Thank you very much
This took a solid effort! I was intrigued by the description, difficulty and recent logs, so after working out what Picton Knows, I ducked around the corner to take a look.
And look I did. I looked high, I looked low. I looked over the top of blocks just a bit taller than me. I looked down through the cracks between them. I looked across at the next level, wondering where public land ended and private land began, and if I would need to go over there. I used my torch to peer into the narrow canyons between the blocks. I read previous logs and decided I must be on the wrong level; then later I read some other logs and decided I was on the right level the first time!
It took somewhere around 35 minutes, but at long last my search was over! I signed the log, which showed signs of previous damage but was dry today. And replaced everything as found.
TFTC!

(2 of 4 today)Headed down to Picton for some finds today. Started with one I'd puzzled about before, and then off to three more.Got them all - HUZZAH!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Took me a bit to realise where I needed to be, but once I'd passed that hurdle it was a quick find.Added my ink to the log, replaced and back to *The Hademobile*.SLTNLNTFTC
was very hard to find, we had to read all the clues, and the kids were complaining, and finally, the starving child found it in desperation..
Found on a trip to Picton and Penrith with a group of Canberra cachers. Signed as CDI23 (Canberra Day Invasion). Joolay made the find when we found gz at the right level. Thanks for the hide flowerchild2117
Picton & Penrith Canberra Day weekend Invasion. Day 3. For the next chapter of this trip there were two farewells and an early start fro breakfast in Picton before we got underway. Today the group was made up of Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Isopeda, Smitten Granny and Contesta. We still had a plenty of caches to do and we got underway on a warming day. The group signed CDI23 the same as yesterday. In addition to all the caches we had planned for the day, we also had to get to Penrith in time for dinner. We did a mixture of roadside traditional caches and the GFA series. We ended the day with caches around Warragamba. Another long fun day caching in this region.
The D/T called us here for a stop on out way pout of town and we soon managed to get to the right spot to find this one.
Thanks for the cache flowerchild2117

Day 2 of our Canberra Day invastion saw us start early in Bargo and finish in Penrith for the night.
I was down with a migraine for most of the morning but after the good drugs, I was much better by the end of the day when I could contribute a bit more.
We spent the day picking up trads, multis, solved puzzles & wherigos along with the odd AL thrown in for good measure.
All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

30,047. Found during an invasion of the 'Bargo up to Penrith' region on the Canberra Day long weekend with a great bunch of Cachers.
With the Canberra Day long weekend upon us, a number of Canberra region Cachers performed an invasion of the Bargo up to Penrith area. Canberra Day Invasion 2023 (signed as CDI23) consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, albida33, smittengranny, Nibbletricecakes, GLISS!, Contesta, EverestHigh and myself. Day 2. An early-ish start soon had us on the road grabbing more caches. This was a fun search, but once at the right level the cache was soon in hand. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks flowerchild2117 and Gould !!

Signed as CDI - Canberra Day Invasion. isopeda, barb2e, Kittykatch, albida33, fitzy_1965, Joolay, MinnieK, Contesta, Smittengranny. Day three of the long weekend (Canberra Day) of caching. Brilliant weather, nice view.
We overshot GZ and after some frustrating searching and puzzled looks from the bovines, Joolay finally spotted it below.
Log is wet and falling apart.

Not at all where I anticipated it to be, search was exciting but painful. Tip: you shouldn’t need gloves
This was very tricky. Not the type of find I was expecting at all. Spent a long time searching then went on to the next one. Asked a previous finder if they had any clues, and they helped me narrow down the spot. Amazing camo. TFTC
Back in the same area as Saturday to finish off a few loose ends. Quick and successful.

This was at least the second attempt to locate this cache. After PF gave me a great hint what I should be looking for I was confident this time I would be successful . After 20 minutes of searching and getting spiked by the plants I thought I would never find it but a further PF had me looking at an area which I previously dismissed . Then there it was interesting camo which blended in well with area it was hiding. Finally , held the cache in hand but unfortunately there was no way you could write on this soggy log. A new log was supplied so I could log . TFTC flowechild2117 . Interesting views from up here of Picton
On this sunny Sunday of the long weekend I met with Jowanale to grab a few caches in the Picton area. I've been eyeing this one off for awhile - interesting name, interesting location, interesting logs and not that I'm really that into it - an interesting D/T rating.
Finally was in the area today, but having just spent a super frustrating hour searching for Hume Oval without success, I wasn't sure how we'd fare here! A little discussion on the best way to get up to GZ, a small climb and the search began. I donned gloves at one point as there is some very spikey ground vegetation! Others have indicated the co-ords were spot on, but I needed to widen my search slightly - but not be too much. Once I did, I soon noticed something that was same same yet different. Very nice! I had a feeling it might be that, though there is sometimes a danger in making assumptions - it was nice to be on the mark today! Unfortunately the log was in pretty poor condition and I wasn't able to sign. Thanks for a fun hunt!

OCW Meritonnn- Nice climb up the blocks watched over by the local cow. Was hard to see at first but Meritonnn found it after a few searches. Good camo! A little bit tricky.
Also log sheet was very saturated and could not sign it.

On my visit to Picton today I was not far from this cache so parked the geomobile on the other side of the round-a-bout and walked over.
So how do you get there?
A bit of scrambling, climbing and fence hopping and I was on the right level. There I began my search. Both the GPS and google satellite had me in the same place so looking at every possible location began. Nothing found so I went for a different approach and that was successful, found it quickly with really good co-ordinates. Signed the log and rehid the cache.
Sneaky!
There's great views of the countryside here. Hope it doesn't get developed out and spoil the area.

Collected a dozen finds in the Wollondilly today.
A quick find after a PAF suggested I need not go peeking and poking. TFTC

The coordinates were spot on and after a lengthy search I found the camo. Soon after I found the long sheet too wet to write on. All put back together. Needs a little TLC.

Aha! DNF avenged!
Give I'd already failed to find this one previously, I didn't have high hopes coming off one find, two DNFs and an aborted attempt today. However, I was only fishing around for a little while before I saw the thing that didn't quite match. Even then, when I went to replace the cache I almost couldn't find the spot right n front of me I'd just removed it from. An excellent hide from some new COs who seem to have quite the knack.

I have just checked in on this cache. It’s in perfect condition and exactly where it’s supposed to be +- 2mtr . I have made the difficulty level higher as it appears to be a difficult one for the majority to find. Good luck
A tough one for me too. A very close examination over a wide area and some detailed reading of logs didn't turn anything up. However, there's more caches nearby I won't have time for today, so I'll try again next time before resorting to a PAF.
I seem to recall being told when the first of these walls went in years ago that the developer had misjudged the terrain and when they went to lay the road the hill fell onto it, hence the massive stone blocks. I wonder if it was true.

We returned to try our luck again. We had received some intel. Our etrex was a little out when we searched last week. However, despite knowing where to look, we still took a few minutes to see this cache today. Dan saw something different but dismissed it as being too small and looking too real. Then Sue noticed the cache under the camo. A very clever hide.
For future cachers, please note that there is no need to dig around. The camo is in plain sight. Just look closely. Very closely. TFTC

We turned up today after 2 very successful days caching around Penrith. We were overconfident. We scrambled up and checked the higher levels. We did re-enactments of that classic cliffhanger scene. Sue with her walking stick. Dan with his walking frame. However, we just weren't good enough to find this cache. Thanks for the fun that we had.
Finally at 3rd attempt a (FTF)Mainly looked there on Saturday, and there on Sunday. The CO confirmed coordinates so checked Sunday’s location again. Never been there before and can see lots of construction, but parked just up the hill. No muggles asked any questions which helped in my search. I brought along some gloves to help me do what needed to be done. I was on a high after the(FTF) find , but not that high.Nice Camo and nice view. I had climbed up to the top many times in a previous life. FP and tftc
Regrettably after a return visit, 30 mins looking here, there and in every nook and cranny .Will keep an eye out for any finds or adjustment to coords, tftc
Unfortunately another difficult to the list. It didn't help the house opposite has a direct view of gz.
Had been searching here from about 15 minutes when Dragons2010 arrived and after introductions we returned to the search.
We searched all three levels and on both sides of the lower fence with no luck, and after searching for another 20 minutes but needed to call it and left Dragons searching.

When arriving another The Booos was busily searching without success. After a longer than normal search my battery ran out. So a charge needed, will return another time, will keep an eye out for ftf who I wish good luck. Tftc
