Today was the last day of a great trip away with naughtybunny travelling all over the Fleurieu Peninsula. We visited many caches on the way home to Adelaide and many amazing places were discovered. This was another one. Enjoyed reading about Garnet Kelly and you have to admire how tough things were back then. RIP. TNLN. Cheers.

I'm making my way down the Fleurieu Peninsula to host the Rapid Bay CITO today.I am making a day of it, squeezing in as many caches as I can before CITO time.I'm aiming to go up a level on my "360 from home" badge on project-gc as well, as there's a lot of red areas down this way for me.This was the first DNF of the day for me. I spent a while searching but it was too good for me.I went to phone a friend but they were out of range on their own caching trip, so this will be a frowny until I can get back down this way. Thanks for bringing me to a cool spot regardless. I enjoyed reading about the soldier, I couldn't imagine receiving that letter as his parents...Lest We Forget.

Di insisted the kids wanted me to go caching for fathers' day, and beyond... so a full day and late night, early morning it was!

A quick stop and hunt around. Will return for the nearby walk asap!

Sincere appreciation for the cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance Kookacrew . Cool

Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp Wink ) The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]

Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside Big Grin

Special thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Big Grin [:o)] Wink

C'est fini... For now... ... until next time! Wink

The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle solving group had us heading southwards once again but instead of solved puzzles we were in search of caches along walks. Surprised Today it was myself, Blackadders and Anymules. [:o)] Meeting at Myponga we zigzagged everywhere in search of caches. Cool By the end of the day we had found a few but the legs were feeling it. Big Grin

Whilst I was looking in all the wrong places, the mule found the cleverly hidden cache. Smile Another great camo/hide worthy of a FP. [:X]

***Thanks Kookacrew for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Another Wednesday wander of the Befuddled group with the Starfish, Adder and a Mule. The Rat was not able to join us.
Todays target area as down south around the Myponga area where a couple of high terrain hides were sought.

As always, all caches were visted and signed by all members of the group or each member had a part to play in retrieving the prize.

All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.

A sneaky hide discovered by the Mule.

Thank you for the cache %Cachename Kookacrew, found 11/05/2022

I had come down here with allister w for a FTF close by and as the rain looked like it had stopped we decided to come and find this one and the others in the gorge. [^]

Found our way to GZ and started looking...and looking...and looking! Read previous logs which didn't really help all that much so we continued looking and kept coming back to one spot. It was only when I had a much closer look that something was spotted that needed closer inspection and yay it was the cache...cool. Big GrinCool

Thanks for the cache Kookacrew definitely a favourite for me. Smile

I guess this is the hide that was archived last year in the middle of Coronavirus disease 2019 (SARS-2). Who ordered the pandemic? Never visited that cache. It was gone before I got a chance to find it. This time we stopped and looked. And looked some more. We considered the extensive logs and looked some more. We reread Hurtle's log. Massive hint. We applied Hurtle logic and the evil little cache was soon in hand. Tweezer time and the cache replace.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Easter 2020 was supposed to see South Australia Geocaching hosting the next Easter big MEGA event, GeoVenture 2020 at Millicent. GC82DAN. Due to COVID restrictions the event is now postponed to early October 2021. Check out the event page and our website for new details. We would love to see you at this four day event. Mega event sponsored by Wattle Range Council, Geocaching.com and many other supporters. Lots of caches to find with two classic geo art trails including the famous animated bottle and glass.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
