One of a couple of multis I'd solved before leaving Brisbane, but had no idea whether I would manage to grab them or not. With a planned drive from Canberra to Nowra and back this week for work, I had a list of caches (mostly virtuals) I wanted to grab, but these were not on the list as I will be travelling with a muggle. As I has some extra time on my hands this afternoon, I hit the road to make the most of that time and grab some caches in town. No trouble locating the cache after finding the previous multi, I quickly added my name to the log, returned the cache as found and headed to the significant sheep. Cheers jeff_1.
We'd solved the puzzle a while ago, and after finding some elements along the road a bit we stopped off here for a slightly trickier retrieval than I had expected but still OK. Those signs look so small when you're whizzing past them! Thanks, my_name_jeff_1!
An enjoyable, if some what freezing cold day, picking up caches in Goulburn. TFTC
Adelaide to Brisbane the long way.Day Five: Goulburn to Newcastle.Weather: cool but sunny, just the way I like it. The day begins with a flurry of multis - plenty to choose from here. I was able to collect the numbers for this one on my way into town last night. I hope this isnt my last milestone cache as I am enjoying them. I made the mistake of parking to the east of GZ; just to the west is a much better option. Thanks for this multi and the series my_name_jeff_1.
Geoturtle37 and I are on our way home after meeting up with great friends in Bathurst and exploring it and the surrounds for a few days.Pleased that this was another quick find as the weather is deteriorating again. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
Tftc. Got the numbers on a drive by and worked out the coords over a pie at Trappers. Quick find at GZ.
Our holiday is almost over but not before enjoying a caching trip in Goulburn with an overnight stay in our favourite accommodation first. With plenty of presolved puzzles and letterboxes Goulburn has plenty to offer any geocacher. It was starting to get dark by now but we persisted with picking up a few more until dinner time.Another reach and we had the next one signed. Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the multi placement.
Accompanied with ALL7, trip to Penrith to stay for few days, amazing multi as good fun day TFTM
My family and I headed down from Brisbane to Canberra to spend the Easter break visiting relatives living here. The lure of a Mega event in town at the same time was just a coincidence, honestly .After an enjoyable stay, sadly today was the day I had to commence the long drive home. For the last two days the news has been reporting an impending severe weather event with rain predicted of biblical proportions. I left Canberra this morning in spitting rain, but it soon stopped and under overcast skies I continued caching my way up to Goulburn, making the most of the relatively good weather. Upon arrival in Goulburn the weather took a turn for the worst with rain beginning to fall again as I made my way towards this cash. I managed to park my car right next to GZ, and made a quick grab and replace without getting wet. TFTC
Our second day in Goulburn and we were attempting the couple of series of caches just south of Goulburn. The day was suppose to be cooler but it warmed up. All in all a good day driving around on a slightly less busy highways heeading towards collector. Some caches were wet, but we were still able to sign.Total Caches Found 15436TFTC my_name_jeff_1
Day 2 of our Christmas - New Year 2023 holidays, and we will be leaving Goulburn soon. However, following our usual holiday traditions, Huntress was off on a long run, 999HK was sleeping, and Im off geocaching. Got most of the targetted geocaches last night, so this morning was getting the last few targetted caches and whatever caught my eyes.Another nice quick find with the car still running. Thanks for the cache My Name Jeff 1Hunter
Mr Minion and I are spending a few days in Goulburn finding caches, we are really enjoying the town and the variety of the hides. There was a big spider on the cache. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
A bit of searching, and we soon had some numbers for this one.It is great to be collecting a few more multis in our tally of Geocaching. Sometimes it is too easy to bypass these, but overall, we really enjoy finding and sorting our way through multi caches Thanks my_name_jeff_1Domsky
My aim for the day was to get some multis, finish all of the adventure labs and attempt to find any solved puzzles on the map in Goulburn.
This one had solved coordinates already from yesterday so it was just a matter of grabbing it - I used google maps to solve.
All good here TFTC

Found with The Matetrix. With an appointment for The Matetrix late afternoon we had a few hours to kill after a midday journey. Targeted a number of type and specific D/T caches, and then whatever was convenient around those. After the sun had set we found a great little Thai place where we fed up on a satay chicken skewers, spring rolls, delicious red curry prawns, chicken padthai and a special fried rice, washing it down with a cold Chang. Topped it all off with a chocolate sundae from Macers on the way home.
Details gathered without issue as we drove into town. Quickly crunched but left it until later in the evening to make the almost as quick find. Signed and replaced as we headed direction home. TNLNSL TFTC

On the way back from the GZ, I was pulled over for a drug test by the police.

Cache 9970 on 1 Apr 2023.
Out with Bobl27 to collect a few caches around Goulburn before I head to the mega next week and claim cache number 10,000. Just grabbing some easy pick ups as I need to nurse a twisted ankle before getting more physical next week! 36 finds from 36 caches looked for, a pleasant drive in the country!
This cache: solved and quick find. These little markers are so cute.
Last one for this mini mission. Now onto Trappers for brunch/ lunch and a drive home!
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the cache and the fun!

Good to see some milestones in roughly the right spot (rather than someone's garden). Cache found OK.

Found on a 50-cache day-trip to Goulburn for GGGT events #57 and #58. Parked nearby, got the numbers (not without dodging a bit of traffic), then drove off to GZ for a quick find. Good to nab another one of the milestone multis. TFTC!
Arrived into Goulbourne staying for 3 nights at the caravan park near the merino
Day2
So many new caches since we were here last, so headed out today, caching via Currawong Road, Countries of the world & the Marvel Series.
This was the 1st cache of the day.

Out with GreyHams on a mostly nice sunny day. With the recent rain there was plenty of water lying about, the little car got, well... just a 'little' muddy! Thankfully though we stayed dry and clean enough! Wow, it was a long day that saw us cover a lot of distance, climb a few hills, and collect a lot of good quality caches along the way. Generally, most caches were found in good condition, all at the coordinates and dry although a few have not held up to the rain and were in poor or very wet condition.
Thanks for your cache that led to a good day out!

We came along with ilook4geo to pick up some of the many multi caches, plus a couple of others, that are available in and around Goulburn. Our aim is to eventually gather 1000 multis and we still have quite a way to go. The ones chosen for this visit we hoped were going to be fairly quick to do and easy to find. There was no problem with this one and the log was signed before we moved on. Thanks go to my_name_jeff_1 for this cache placement.
Took a wander around Goulburn with goingplaces2 doing some multi caches. Enjoyed the day and found a good amount. This was one of our finds. Log was signed and all was replaced. TFTC.
I found the coordinates for this one yesterday, but didn't have time to find it. Today it was easy. Thanks, Jeff.
With a day off from work and a CITO in Goulburn, I made the trip over to for my second ever time caching there. I made the promise that I would return for a proper day of caching and it finally came true. Today’s focus was mainly some solved Multi’s and a few other quick finds to maximise my cache find total for the day given I was limited with time as I needed to be back in Temora by 5:30pm at the latest. After the CITO, Fitzy_1965 and I headed up the hill to collect the ‘Mount Gray series’ caches as he believes that they have run their course. Unfortunately, I will need to return for the rest of the caches that I missed along that same road again due to time constrains. I ended up with two DNF’s today. However, I loved my day out. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTE and TFTC’s!
Spending a day in Goulburn, we have targeted 2events, multis, puzzles and adventure labs, the day is perfect for caching.
Thanks to all the CO for the placements.

Day 5 of e.gregory1 and I’s trip to Yass, NSW and surrounds for a week away to find a few caches. Today we headed from Goulburn to Bowning, hitting the local trails around Goulburn and North of the ACT and a few others around the area before attending an event in Sutton for the afternoon then heading back up and out to Yass area.

Found on a week-long caching trip over to NSW and Victoria from Adelaide with gridge98.
Our main targets were the wherigo and challenge cache series’ around the Yass and Goulburn areas, although we also found quite a few other Unknown, multi, letterbox, virtual and traditional caches of interest along the way. We even managed to attend an event at Sutton and did a couple of caches just over the border in the ACT.
The middle of winter around the shortest day was probably not the best time to schedule our trip, particularly as we were camping. But despite a little bit of rain one night and sub-zero temperatures on another, the weather wasn’t too bad, albeit on the cloudy and cool side.
In all we covered about 3,300 km over the week and managed almost 350 finds each.
After collecting the required information for the final coordinates, it was off to GZ for the find.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the cache.

Our first full day in Goulburn, and what a great day weather wise it was.
We had a number of Adventure Labs in our sight, as we always enjoy them, and different locations put on different slants which gives us ideas for a Lab credit we have to use when we get home..
We tried to pick up any caches we went near en route which becomes complicated, juggling phones, GPSrs and ipad maps for the overview, as well as the car GPS!
We found a variety of caches and hides, generally all in good condition and saw some of the sites of Goulburn.
Our only downside was a flat tyre late in the day, but even then a lovely bloke stopped and offered to help!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache my_name_jeff_1.

We planned a day or two in Goulburn, and sent a text to Rapidlywild to see if she could join us.
Sunday seemed to suit, so the target was - to find as many multi's as we could.
Rapidlywild came organised with pen and paper and the questions written out.
That made everything much easier, when solving.
Some gave us a few headaches, but after checking sums, we came out with the right numbers.
Most logs were signed as 'TDR' (for The Drovers & Rapidlywild), to save on time and space.
A big 'Thank You' to Rapidlywild for joining us, and making the day so much more fun.
A quick find, log sheet was wet and soggy. We put in a page from our note book.
Many thanks for placing this cache, my_name_jeff_1, for us and others to find.

Recieved a text from The Drovers who had plans to venture around Goulburn for the day doing a spot of caching before the terrible weather hits on Monday. Yeah awesome, I have a few to collect in Goulburn so would be nice to get a few more smilies around the area.
The weather was rather brisk and the wind would rip right through our jackets/jumpers today but we kept on chasing those smilies. Our main targets today were multi caches as there seems to have been an explosion of them around the place since my last visit. We managed to do ok today, had issues with one of the multis which unfortunately resulted in a DNF, a trad which will need to be archived as the property is now a private residence and a few very wet logs which we replaced with dry log sheets.
Another nice simple offset multi, no issues with the calculations or the collection of this one. Most of todays logs were signed as "TDR" for The Drovers Rapidlywild to save space on the logs.
Thanks for the hides my_name_jeff_1 And thanks to The Drovers for a fun day out and about around Goulburn [^].

Back out in Goulburn for another round of events. Always a good way to spend a night. Made sure we tackled this one whilst we were out this way to help our multi calendar along. Thanks for the cache.
Yep found.
Despite feeling really quite weary after a great walk along Bullen Range ridge yesterday, when I was invited on an "easier" caching trip today I couldn't refuse as this might be my last opportunity to cache with friends for quite some time. The sky was overcast nearly all day but the great company made up for it.
LuckyL10n Sol de Lune and I set out hoping to find a good set of caches and we weren't disappointed as there were no DNFs. All caches found were signed. Unfortunately some logs were in very poor condition and this will be noted whenever possible.
Thanks to all COS for placing these caches that enabled us to enjoy this great game.

Out on a run through the area and up to Goulburn with LuckyL10n and Smittengranny to fill in a few numbers on the calendar. Weather was good to us with just one short shower during our time out.
Second last one for the day and the last one before hitting the bakery for lunch. No issue making the find and our names were soon in the log.
Thanks for another one up this way my_name_is_jeff_1.....

#13427 - 12:10:00 PM; Set off on a mission with Sol de lune and Smittengranny to Dalton and then along backroads through to Goulburn for lunch then home. A successful mission in that we located and logged all of the caches on the mission list as well as avoiding the rain showers along our route. A couple of caches need some TLC with the rest in good order. The log is damp and fragile, so a CO visit might be in order. TFTC my_name_jeff_1
Today was a quiet morning watching the rain go by. In the afternoon, I headed back to Goulburn to be ready for a trip to Sydney tomorrow. I took a wandering route to get a where-i-go, some multi's and a DNF well west of town. I was successful in all my stops expect the last one, a puzzle in town.
It has been fun collecting the information for these newish multis around town. Great to see the old posts and the amazing remembrance displays.

A fun day here from interstate collecting a few caches for puzzles that have been in the finished pile a while, some caches started but never quite finished or others that were on our hit list. It was a last minute discussion to go for a drive to attend this event. Purely because one of the team is going a little stir crazy being stuck at home and not being about to get around like they are used to.
Before heading home we did a few more multi's and collected a solved puzzle.
At GZ this one had a massive guardian and log was a tad damp so might need a new log. Would have replaced but we didn't come prepared tonight.

A few days caching in the ACT and surrounds with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats, another trip away like countless others that we have done before. We got the dates, we did the planning, we worked out a route. But there was one thing that we could not plan for; the weather.
The caches were excellent. The company faultless. The weather; atrocious. Rain, rain, rain. And then more rain. On several occassions we had to change our intended route, abandon plans, and even came home a day early. Alas, the rain had been predicated, but we had hoped it would stay away.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

Our first post-lockdown caching run with steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert had been planned for months and whatya know it - we forgot to let the weather gods know our plans. NSW experienced torrential rain and chilling winds across most of the state, but that didn't stop us.
Saturday's weather didnt show signs of improvement and our enthusiam for getting wet n cold was waning. We changed our plans a number of times before opting for an early finish to our weekend, but before another handful of finds ibetween Collector and Goulburn.

Finalf29 and I had decided to attend the CITO and Mid Winter dinner but then I saw AngelG27 was going to attend... hmmm maybe I could get enough caches to make my 3000th the event and celebrate with AngelG27, who originally got me into this fun and wacky game. We left home about 10am and cached around Goulburn and Crookwell to make the numbers. Thanks to all the COs that made this possible and thanks Angle... opps AngelG27

Fridays is when I have the most time and Tankengine and I needed a few caches today for our calendar challenge, so Goulburn was where we planned to come.
It was a cloudy, chilly day, but we had heaps of fun and got more than we expected, including an FTF, every cache type we needed and even explored an old building with wonderment.
This cache: This was very easy to work and and GZ was a straightforward find. Tftc!!!
