Out caching in the Biggenden area over the long weekend with KabbellaQld and Danielle46 signed as KTD TFTC
We are exploring this area over the long weekend. Fast find here. Tree was lucky to survive the recent burning off around it. Signed KTD (KabbellaQld, ToucanKB and Danielle46). Tftc
I am heading south again after another week-end in Biggenden. I created a list of caches to find, saved it for offline use, then ... forgot to load it before leave data coverage areas. In the end, all I had to use to find these caches was a half loaded map and my gps location on that map. No cache name, D/T rating, size, hint or any other detail. This method of geocaching is NOT recommended as you really do not know what you are looking for. You just end up searching obvious locations first then start swearing until you find the cache ... or not. I did manage to find this cache after a short search. Thanks for the cache.
Being back in this area, brings a lot of nice memories. And many of them are connected to events organised by Sweet-Sour.
As there were again couple of more to collect, we stayed in Kilkivan.

Verplaatsing van Noose Head naar Agnes Water (in 3 dagen). Onderweg deze cache gelogd. TFTC.
Last Easter, Seffnjarah and I road tripped our way south to Armidale and surrounds, camping, caching and hiking along the way. I had planned a similar trip this Easter to Maryborough and then west to Mt Walsh and was joined at the last minute again by Seffnjarah.
First order of business this morning was to climb Mt Walsh. After a successful mission, we visited Biggenden, where we collected the Adlab cache and I managed to secure a most excellent steak burger from the cafe in town. After collecting a few local Biggenden caches, we are now wandering south collecting a mix of interesting and unloved caches, including this one.
It is all in the name. TFTC

When other family arrangement for the Easter break fell through, I was lucky to score a ride with Crookedpete for an extended weekend geocaching road trip from Brisbane to around Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Mt Walsh and surrounding areas.
After making it up to the summit of Mt Walsh and back in about 3hrs this morning, that left plenty of time in the day to continue picking up some more caches on our extensive to-do list for the weekend. But first Crookedpete decided he he needed a burger to refuel his body after the strenuous walk and we headed to Biggenden to see what we could find. Surprisingly we managed to find a take away open on Easter Sunday. With Crookedpete's hunger sated, we ventured on to find some local caches before beginning the run south towards home, passing this cache along the way.
The name of the cache was a good indicator of where we should be looking and the cache was soon located.
The logbook was stamped with The Bromance team stamp (a slight liberty, with only 2 of the usual 4 members present on this trip, but we are hoping to avoid RSI with the number of caches planned on our itinerary ). TFTC

On holidays at Hervey Bay and arranged to meet YOF down this way to tackle a few. TFTC
Time to come back to this area on a Maintainence run and also to find caches still for me to locate and log. Left Bargara at 4am so that I could fit everything I wanted to do whilst down this way into a hectic day. Short stop in biggenden on the way home to visit CO and to place some more hides foe his upcoming New Years event. Arrived back home at 1830.
Apologies for Boiler Plate logs but will add extra comment where necessary. Quick find in obvious spot as indicated by my GPSr. TFTC Sweet-Sour.

We Have been in the Kilkivan area for a few days and our mission is to find as many of the caches that have popped up here over the years, we thank all the cache owners for placing these. All caches that we have found have been in good condition. SL TFTC
A great day for a drive in the country.
Blue skies, and not a cloud to be seen.
Forecast says it will hot up a bit , so an early start for us.
Burn off then recent rain so lots of fresh green growth in the paddocks.

Heading north to Mt Walsh today and decided to pick up a few caches and this was one of them. I parked nearby and once at GZ the cache was soon in hand and after signing the log all was returned as found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

Drove from Beaudesert to Hervey Bay and back in a day for one of my daughters awards presentation. 820 kilometers broken up by caching and meals. Really appreciate the CO's placing all these caches, and I certainly appreciated the air conditioning more on a hot 35 degree.
All the logs are in good condition unless specified otherwise, and they were all found with ease unless specified otherwise.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache and thank you for breaking the drive up **Sweet-Sour**

We planned to turn the 15 caches released for the mid year event into smiles today as its always a pleasure to drive these country roads. Lots of cattle wandering along the roads and even a monitor lizard crossing over. Cache nicely tucked away. TFTC Sweet-Sour
We do enjoy driving these country roads out here finding the caches along the way and want to thank the CO’s for placing all the hidden treasures. This is one we found today. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Sweet-Sour for another one.
Attending the Mid Year 2021 event & having been cleared to hit the trails we were off in search of 15 new caches just begging to be found!
#8 of 16 smilies rounded up today.

Looking like a couple of lost & confused tourist campers we waited while a couple of muggle vehicles passed by before heading over to GZ.
Our search area seemed fairly obvious going by the cache name & the accuracy of the coordinates so far today so Mrs VC volunteered to make the find.
A quick find indeed yielding another nice clean log!
Some days are indeed diamonds & this was shaping up to be one of them.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

TFTC. We are attending the Mid Year event at Kilkivan this weekend. Along with the new Caches placed for the event we spent the day finding some of the older caches on the area as we passed by. A great day out with 30 finds for the day.
