We continued today our tour of several AUS states in the NorthWest and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to JABs, MENO for the generation of this nice cache The eagle has landed. LRBP1 (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. Added in new log sheet as other almost full. Over from Otautahi Christchurch for this the last Outback Muster. Spent ages working out all the puzzles but I really enjoy jigidi ones. Shame I didnt find them as I didnt join in with someone with a spare seat for the day. Thanks to all the organisers for the hard work and effort in putting this and previous events together. Only sad thing is I could only get to Blackall before this one. Sorry this is cut and paste logging but I will add in a comment as required along the way. Ma te wa from me for the time being. Im sure we will meet again
Today is going to be a long day with a lot of driving and with plenty to see. Our team the Misfits consisting of Gcoven, Nathan and alyce, jacs team and myself had some plans and some fun lined up together. It saw us driving into town to a meet up grabbing a list of new caches. We then headed off doing the letterboxes and the question mark, plus grabbing a few loose ones as we passed. We made it back to the showgrounds in time for the Talk like a pirate day event. After the event, we set off and did a lot of the jigsaw trail and listed puzzle caches. It was a good day and I enjoyed the caching and the places it took me. I really enjoyed the earth cache. The variety of caches was fun, the lack of hints or mistaken helps just added to the fun for the day for me, thanks. We signed the logs as Misfits and replaced all as found, thanks for the fun today. sorry for the generic log but there are tooo many to remember each one.
Popped into town to register and then we headed off to do the Letterbox trail and question mark. Chatted with various cachers we met on the way. Arrived back in time for the pirate event, we then proceeded to head to the bakery and shops for a few supplies before making a run on the jigsaw trail. These were a priority for me having spent hours on jigsaws. Which saw us complete 75% of them until we had a prior appointment that we needed good reception for. We had booked into Trivia at the Wellshot and our team came a very respectable 4th - despite doing us dirty over a LOTR question. Almost ready to turn in for the night we notice a new Lab some 240m from our front door- so off we went again. Caching with Gcoven, Chamad, Nathan & Alyce as The Misfits!
This was an extremely long day with plans to do all the QOGM geoart and letterbox caches along with random ones we hadn't previously found.I joined forces with Bluewattle and Davidwazza, and we worked efficiently and effectively as a team in finding all the caches on our to-do list.We recorded no DNF's, and only one PAF was required. Also, apologies for the generic logs.Thank you to all the cache owners for placing such a large volume of traditional, puzzle, and letterbox caches for our benefit and enjoyment ??
JACS and I had hatched a plan a while back to book leave for a road trip out west and to attend the last QOGM. Today was the the start of our Longreach adventures. third big day Quilpie to Longreach. Fun pirate event and collection of the puzzles !

Another day means another day on the road collecting caches. We teamed up with JACS Team, Gcoven and Chamad and called ourselves The Misfits. We had a fantastic day on the road. Good times, great experiences and the occasional Chamad joke thrown in to keep us amused. Our goal for the day was the new letterbox trail, the question mark, the loop and any other cache we encountered along the way. Thanks for bringing us here and for showcasing this wonderful part of the world.#3868 - TFTC

Unlike most we had a lovely picnic lunch at the cemetery before taking a detour via Arrilalah back. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks JABs for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
This is our last time that we will get to experience a QOGM adventure. We will never be able to thank the QOGM committee and others anywhere near enough for all their hard work they do to make these events with all the associated caches that go along with it so enjoyable. We have watched each year as the numbers have grown and have read the will attend logs mentioning that as they have never had the chance to make it to one of these that they have made certain to attend this one as it is the last. We have attended 4 missing out on one due to COVID.The caches, as usual, have been a joy to do and have added to the experience when planning the trip of outback Queensland. The puzzles have helped us to learn a lot more about the area we are visiting. All caches that we have found have had good co-ords and are in good condition. SL TFTC
Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and I’m taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there.
So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling.
Today is an event at Stonehenge so I got up early to do a few caches before heading out there.
First one and a cattle grid around town.
Thanks JABs, MENO TFTC.
