### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there Josh72683,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers are not mind readers (unfortunately), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).
Thanks for your cooperation,

Well this is a lovely, hidden gem of a park. I've been driving past here for decades, without knowing it was here.
Today, the dogs took me for a walk around the track, and we located the cache. Unfortunately, as previous finders have noted, the container has mud in it, and the logbook is slushy.
Thanks for introducing us to this beaut park, josh72683.

The weather turned out to be quite reasonable this afternoon... quite different to the past few days... so I jumped in the car and headed in the general direction of Croydon to go looking for caches. First stop was this cache beside a rather unexpected lake. I found the cache after a little searching and, as per previous reports, discovered that it was about as muddy inside the container as the edge of the lake... log sheet is mush!
Thanks **Josh72683** for the cache... it needs maintenance though!
Thanks **Josh72683** for the cache... it needs maintenance though!
Brought some cloth and paper towel to dry this one, but after opening - forget it. It needs a good wash first as it is full of mud.
We had to crawl around a bit to find this but got it in the end! Logbook was soaked so we couldn't sign.
While I had planned to do the mega event in Whittlesea, I had also planned to include a couple of extra days either side for some caching. Then I get a call to come earlier and stay with a mate. Well, as things have changed a little personally it seemed like a great way to chill and have some catch up time with them.
So I Have arrived at the house and the first thing is to check what caches are in the area. ok we have a couple just a short walk away. After the hellos and check ins we got to go for a walk, I suggested caching, Oh are you one of those people? I’ve heard about it and done a couple, but never really gotten in to it.
So off on our walk and the first was a DNF, the next was a super soaked log and the last was a little off target but we managed t still find the cache, All in all a fun walk. all were replaced as found, thank you for the fun times here today.

Log and contents very wet, I could not sign the log or close the container properly, I place another rock on it it was out in the open. Tucked back in under a rock. Requires some maintenance, would have done it but I did not take my bag with me. TFTC
Very hard I thought it was on the other side -Master 7 (Mummy thought it was relatively easy.)

*Cache find # 12791.*
After finding the nearby puzzle cache, I continued on the this one, when I arrived, I looked and thought where do I start, lucky for my, I went to the side that the GPS was indicating I needed to be, had I look, picked one and discovered the cache, the log was signed and I was off to the next one.
**Thanks to Josh72683 for placing this cache.**

I didn't want to leave any stone unturned in order to find this one but luckily I didn't have to look under every stone! The log is damp despite the insulation. Giddy up
I looked at GZ and thought ‘Oh no’. So many options. I was lucky to find the cache after a very short time. This is a very beautiful lake in a lovely bush setting.

2 fools set off on this 2sday 22/2/22 to find 22 D2/T2 caches and go to 2 Events, too.
A lovely walk in from our parking spot... I took one side, n0w0rries the other, and this time, he came up with the goods.
Thanks, Josh72683. Another caching friend will be very interested in the name of the street and reserve here.

Returned today to find the second one in this lovely park. Climbed down and looked everywhere. Eventually I tried the other side and still had nothing until I went a little bit further and with a different point of view spotted the familiar hide. Logbook is slightly damp.

#2200 - 2200 (10pm)
It wasn't a 2sday, but it was a day full of 2s, nonetheless. You see, it was the twenty-second of February.
2/2/22
And I was sitting on the edge of a mini-milestone. My next find would take me to #2200.
I mentioned this 2 Heymissjo, and told her I needed a cache 2day. She said that she'd like 2 come 2, but she was 2 busy. It was 2 bad because geocaching is always better when we get 2 do it 2gether. So when the 2 Minis had headed 2 bed, I took my leave and went off in search of a smilie.
But where 2?
It made sense 2 find a cache with a 2 Difficulty rating and a 2 Terrain rating.
I went through the list of local caches that HMJ had already found but I had not been able 2 get 2 yet.
This 2/2 cache stood out.
It was 2 km from home.
It was placed on the 2nd (of July, 2021).
Heymissjo got the FTF 2 days later.
It's last find was 2 days ago.
It was that geocacher's 2nd find ever!
2 perfect!
I jumped in the car and did a double take at the clock - there was only 15 minutes before 2200 hours (in 24 hour time). I was cutting it fine, but not 2 fine, because there was always 2222 (some 22 minutes later), if I needed a 2nd option.
The 2km drive was traffic free and in next 2 no time, I was stepping out in2 the quiet street adjoining the lake reserve. I pointed my headlamp 2 the ground and marched 2wards GZ. I didn't even pull out my phone because I'd been here before. This visit was actually a bit of a 2nd coming for me!
You see, there was a cache here some years ago, and I was it's final visitor - interestingly, it resurfaced during the FTF hunt for this particular cache, uncovered by the 2TF! So, despite the long interval between hides, I knew exactly where 2 go. With precious 2nds slipping by, I made double time 2 GZ, making sure not to step in any number 2s en route. And as soon as I prepared 2 search, a flash of sistema blue lit up vividly in the torchlight.
2 easy!
Find #2200, signed right on 2200, on the 2nd page of the logbook.
It was only now that I allowed myself the time 2 appreciate the nocturnal beauty of the location, with the stars above clearly reflected in the still water of the lake below.
It was rather lovely.
But as tempting as it was 2 linger, I couldn't. For I am part of a special duo. And my better half was lovingly holding the fort for me. And it is 2 her that I will always gravitate back 2...
Thanks, Josh72683.
I think we're all glad I was just marking a 'mini-milestone'. Otherwise, I might have had 2 come out wearing a 2-2!
If only this hide was named, 'The Swan Lake Cache"!!
Maybe we'll just have 2 see what find #2222 on 22/2/22 brings...

A quick find but a very soggy logbook sadly. Such a nice lake one could live by. tftc
Out with xambo4u, we had a great day caching in the Croydon area.
A beautiful lake with ibis walking around. It took a little while to locate the hide. Thanks Josh72683.

I found this cache today on my Round About Warranwood Tour. I had started on the Lake Cache #2 but the dog started barking so I left it and came here instead. A nice spot and a nice cache. Thanks from D B-A

Just got home and was relaxing after a early morning drive with my daughter for her learner hrs, when Rebel gave me a buzz and informed me he was in the area visiting his mum and had time for a few caches.
Couldn't say no for some caching fun after lockdown and not seeing him for ages.
Cheers for the cache.

It had been some months since I had seen My Mum, she lives in Metro and I live in regional. finally the regional/metro border had been scrapped and I could head to metro to see her, while in the area I caught up with My good caching Mate Omegaman1971 to grab a few caches. It seemed ironic all the metro people headed to regional and I headed to Metro.
This is one of the caches We found today. After failing at the other near by lake cache we were glad of a quick find here, it is a nice location.

Finally group caching again (or caching much at all for that matter) with G&J of GJMMelb after another lockdown hiatus. A pleasant walk to this one, stopping to take a photo of the mint bush in full flower before joining the search. After checking one side, G another, I changed to check a different place and spotted the cache uncovered but thankfully still safe. Logbook signed, we rehid it as the hint described it. The rain started a bit on our return walk but we decided to get a couple more caches and hoped it was just a passing shower. TFTC
Fantastic to be out caching again and also meeting up with quiet1_au, this was number 4. As we were walking to GZ the rain began. It wasn’t too heavy, a typical Spring shower. It added to the atmosphere of this very pretty place. After a bit of hunting q1 made the find.

What a lovely area and walking track for our exercise / walk today although a little wet underfoot with all the recent rain. After we waited for some slow moving Muggle walkers to pass it wasn't long before Mr Pooky had the cache in hand with the help of the hint. TFTC and bringing us to this spot.
Spiffy- and I met up for a few local caches that overlapped our zones.
Took a while here but eventually all found in good condition.
Thanks to Josh72683 for the placement and fun.

Sorry for the wait I will try and fix as soon as possible and need to move it to the other side of the bridge.( I need to get new coordinates and a new container) again sorry for the wait. Expect it to be enable in the first half of this month.
Sadly the container is missing I have contacted the last finder my have to replace it or archive
Container has been muggled by some curious kid’s looking for trolls I will get to replacing the container in a week or 2 (early September) thank to the last finder for helping me this time the container will be a bit more camouflage
A nice little reserve and lake, and a nice easy find. No troll today luckily! TFTC!
The troll had plenty of time to get me! Thanks again josh72683. A star for the three.
I returned today with icw to sign the REAL log, as previously we had found the ghost of Frog Spotting. To save further confusion we removed the red herring.
Out of lockdown and it's a great day for a cache
A couple of years ago we came here and at the time we thought what a great place this would be to place a cache. It is great to see there are now caches here thanks Josh72683.
It was very peaceful here. No one being around made it easy for us to find and log this cache. Opening the container was a bit of a struggle and the log sheet has seen better days. It was still fine for us to sign and stamp though.
Thanks for bringing us back here and adding to the fun with these new caches.

Found with icw. A Pacific Black duck hybrid, several Dusky Moorhens and a Wood Duck drake were campaigning for hand-outs, but we ignored them as they are better off eating natural food.
The container was difficult to open and the the log was damp, but we managed to sign it. Tftc.

Sorry to take so long to log…
Indeed, as HeyMissJo said, we were just a bit slow. I made the rookie mistake of picking up picking up J from a friends house on the way to the cache - rather than after!!
The location was one where we had previously made a FTF on Frog Spotter, and I guess old habits die hard, because we found that old long lost cache almost straight away!
https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC685HX
At first we thought that may be it (despite its aged appearance) having found it so quickly. We messaged HeyMissJo to check if we should try to open it or keep looking…
It took quite a while to open that old lightly rusted container, which may have been a replacement, or at least a replaced log sheet based on having just the last two finds on it (see photo attached of Frog Spotter - not this cache!)
Once opened, we knew something newer in appearance was probably around, and we soon made the right find.
Thanks the the cache and the tour down memory lane!

Once opened, we knew something newer in appearance was probably around, and we soon made the right find.
Thanks the the cache and the tour down memory lane!

A surprise (FTF) with master nine aka geoninja tonight. The Welder and I had had a busy weekend with our brady bunch family and just before it was time to take the three welder minis home, I decided to sit down and enjoy my first afternoon coffee.
‘Ding’…. that sweet sound. I took a sip of coffee and put it down, looking loving at The Welder… ‘love, it’s my turn’…. By which he replied, of course run! Fabulous! My son ran after me to join in the hunt! It was The Welder who raced for your last cache placement and I took one for the team so he could go for the hunt, but this time it was my turn!
On pulling up nearby, geoninja and I started to run in the direction of gz. Once there I realised that I had no torch! Damn, so in diminishing light, all I had was my phone light!
After a quick scour, we found a tin ‘bingo’! Ah… hmmm no actually. An old and rusty tin, but I had no hope of opening it despite best efforts, so with time and light against us, we continued to search systematically… for I know that the hounds would have been released and soon they would be upon us! These hounds are always in the hunt for the next best thing!
Eventually it was geoninja who made the find and so quickly I signed it and we place it back in the hide. We also decided to rehide the decoy… just in case!!! Phew… winner winner!!
As we headed back to the car we ran into P from pnja… of course he was one high on our potential hound list. Was lovely to meet him, as they were the hiders of my very first cache find in Oct 2017! Ironically he was the hound that The Welder ran into on your last cache. It’s funny how things work out.:: but the coincidences didn’t stop there!!!
You see on arriving back home, I noticed I had a message from pnja… he too had found the decoy, but on this occasion had managed to open it…. It actually wasn’t a decoy but remnants of an old, archived cache called ‘Frog Spotter’ And do you know who signed the log before it was archived??? The Welder dated 27/7/2017! I really do believe this game is just a little bit magical, for those that believe!
