It's a free day today and after a haircut I decided to gather some caches. I parked in Duke Street and took the wander northwards first. Three dogs nearby went mad as I arrived, but I spied the container quickly. TFTC, Simber15.

A gorgeous day and it was nice for a little reminisce. Traceylcm and I used to live in a street just near here as kiddos, and played near the creek many times. Might swing past the old house for a quick stalk on the way out.
Thanks for the cache, Simber15

Our first full day in redcliffe area, out on the bikes today, picking up those caches along the green corridor and those witches hats that we pass.
Thanks Simber15 for the caches.

Was catching up with mum this morning and on the way home decided to grab a few more caches. Might as well try to get the souvenir for finding 100 this month.
Happy to report a quick find here.
Stood and watched the birds playing in the creek for a bit and then it was home time.
This was a lovely walk along the creek.

Simber15 I found your cache Peninsula Trail - Margate Parade on 6/12/2022, 2:20 pm. This is my find 4541 and find # 13 today. Found it after a bit of a search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
I decided to head to Clontaft today for a few finds. #7 for today and with the cache was quickly retrieved, signed and returned to it's resting place. TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
My wife asked me if there were any caches we needed ion Clontarf. Yep, there are a few over there we have not got yet. Why do you ask? Well, she has some pottery to be collected from a shop in Clontarf, and seems the best way to convince me to go get it for her is to let me grab some caches whilst I am there. She knows me only too well...
Cache 4 for the day
Left the car and walked to the next one. At GZ, wandered about, as we saw a lizard. Took our time looking about as we did not want to encounter any of those legless lizards!
Use your eyes and you will get there eventually. Thanks for the cache!

Out to get a few more caches in the Moreton Region today and this one was on my list. Parked on the road beside the park and took the short walk to GZ. Looked in a few places that I thought it could be then i had a light bulb moment and soon had the cache. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
Searched for this with no luck earlier today, gave up and went to the next ( Maine Road). Then a quick find on the way back….just need to look in the right place/direction. TFTC
Enjoying finding the caches in this series, bit of a theme with these containers, all good with the cache. TFTC Simbar 15
Looked for ages from all sorts of angles but just could not find it today.
Managed to find a cane toad or frog hiding deep in there though! I guess this is where frogs go during the day.
Thanks for the cache!

Spent 1/2 hr here an hr ago to no avail.....went to find a few others, & instant find on my return attempt from another direction!! T4TC:-)
After my last visit, I got a hint and this time spotted it straight away. Thanks for the cache
Today, the plan was a kayak along Hays Inlet with a small group of adventurous folk. Launching from Clontarf, we initially headed west to the small cluster of geocaches around Freshwater Creek, before proceeding north up the inlet towards Saltwater Creek. Increasing winds towards lunch did cut the adventure short for a few kayakers, and it was a hard slog kayaking back against the south-easterly gales.
Following the kayak, I had the afternoon for solo geocaching, visiting a variety of places along the coastline. This included Scarborough with a few *Witch's Hat* geocaches, then Newport with the *Newport Canal* series, followed by a visit to Deception Bay and the completion of the *D'bay Heritage Trail* Adventure Lab. I then returned towards Brisbane following a few service roads in Narangba and Dakabin picking up a few miscellaneous geocaches as it turned dark.
After having a DNF here a few months ago, I was back again today with another clue to where this cache may be. After a short search, the usual cache type was found, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Nice to have converted this frown to a smile; Thanks Simber15 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Parked the van down by the bay and headed off to complete this series whilst the geowife read her book club book. Nice easy finds tucked away with enough protection from passing muggles.
Thanks
Thanks
This one took longer than it should have! Was probably looking a bit too hard for it!
I was out chasing 3 cache today to fill a calendar spots. So pick these 3 because they were close together. Park close the middle one. Quick walk to all three. All found safe and sound.
So will be back to pickup the others later.

Nice little area here. Took far longer than it should have. Like others before me, I finally saw it when I looked from the right angle. I spent more time on the other side of the bushes than I should have and made it harder on myself.

Two members of Oztracker11 are having a relaxing holiday in the area. We set our sights on this group of caches.
This did take a little...well, a lot longer to find than the previous two. In fact we were about to give up but had one last look, and at the right angle there it was. Great hide.
Thanks Simber15

In the local area with grannysmith1947 and after walking across the Ted Smout Memorial bridge we decided to attempt this little series.
It helped to go in at the right angle to spot this one, another neat hide.

Today was a fairly busy day in Brisbane's north-west, structured around a morning CITO at Clontarf, and two other events in Nudgee Beach and Sandgate. In between the events, I joined a few others in completing *Lagoon Fishing* Adventure Lab at Sandgate, and then tackled a few of the *Peninsula Trail* series and *Witch's Hat* around the Redcliffe vicinity.
I jogged from a southern cache along the paths and bridge over to this location, whilst really enjoying the beauty of this area. I also did enjoy the nearby little weir / informal foot bridge, of which I managed to cross on my return back to the car. Unfortunately after having a good 15 min search around GZ, trying different spots and various angles, this cache just seemed to have alluded me today. I thought I had a pretty good spot to where the cache may have been, but just no luck. I also suspect the cache is still here, but just got the better of me today. Thanks anyway Simber15 for the cache placement.

This one was very cleverly hidden, found it when approaching from a different angle. A beautiful spot here.
Thanks Simber15 for the cache.

For some reason my GPS didn’t like this particular spot and had me anywhere from 0 to 18 m away so it turned out to be just a case of searching the area we were in and luckily it was DisSister who made the find. TFTC
It’s a lovely little spot here so I didn’t mind taking some time as we searched for the cache. We had so many options and my GPS was playing up so it was no help but we got there in the end.TFTC Simber15
Wow the tiny walkway leading to this cache (from the side we came from anyway) is so serene. When I looked one of the ways, I felt like I was back trekking in Cambodia or something. Found it, they are camouflaged well as it was just there but still didn't see it straight away. TFTC!
I thought that as a young fella I had ridden my bike over all parts of the peninsula. This area was just one of those places I must have missed in my travels.
It was back in the times when your parents didn’t care where you were as long as you weren’t playing video games in the house. These days parents want to track their kids every movement and so the idea of just jumping on a bike and riding off in any direction must seem like a nightmare. tftc
