Today we travelled from Barcaldine to Longreach. There were a number of caches that we found along the way, This was one of them.Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks to JABs for the cache.
Easy find. An Emu dad and 7 chick's casually walking past. An angry Maggie made a swoop. CheersBundy
Wazza and the Wench are touring QLD for a couple of weeks. Driving from the coast out to Longreach then, without a definite plan, driving back to the coast.Today we're driving up to Winton for the day. Today our group did a clean up of the Longreach and Ilfracombe areas picking up any caches which were still available - surprisingly quite a few for me. This was the next one on the list. Quickly found once at GZ. Signed as CC1 (Contesta, GLISS!, Nibletricecakes, albida33 and myself, for Canberra Cachers plus 1). Replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our journey. Thanks to all the COs who put out these caches !!
After attending the Longreach QOGM for last week, it is nice to have a more relaxing day, grabbing anything around the area before heading towards home.Stopped off here and made an easy enough find at GZ.Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.

Todays plan was to tidy up the remaining caches in and around Longreach township. Attend the flash mob event, which sounded like it was going to be fun. Then head off to do the Cito event in a very large open area.We managed to clean up everything on our list and I made it in time for the pathtag swap. Some of the team went on an evening train ride, which was from the return comments was fun. It was nice to have the Slow day just to regroup and reenergise before tomorrows huge event. All logs were signed as Misfits and replaced as found.
Another day means another day on the road collecting caches. We teamed up with JACS Team, Gcoven and Chamad and called ourselves The Misfits. Today was a more chill day collecting a variety of caches around Longreach and surrounding areas. A good batch of caches were found in some great locations. Thanks for bringing us here.#4062 - TFTC
Had an amazing time at the last QOGM event in Longreach. I feel honoured to be one of only a handful of cachers who has attended all five, although it does concern me that now I will have to plan my own September school holiday fun. This year I travelled up with Gcoven and we scooted along the bottom LGAs for her to collect and I was able to pick up the odd one here and there untilWe hit brand newies on offer in Longreach. During the course of the formal QOGM days we travelled and cached with chamad and Nathan & Alyce as part of our team signing under the collective name of Misfits. Along the way we had plenty of laughs and enjoyed hanging out with each other through the official social events and our own - generally at The Wellshot or at the Longreach Bakery. With the couple of quieter days on the agenda it allowed us time to get everything we wanted in town and even head further afield to Winton with feeling rushed at any point. It was great catching up with everyone some whom I had not seen since Barcaldine and of course the more regular cachers from home. Quite the turn out indeed. Thanks to the efforts of the QOGM team and Jimmy Project for helping to bring this all together.
Another nice find for Grub62. Nicely hidden I hope it survives the next heavy downpour. TFTC.
JACS and I had hatched a plan a while back to book leave for a road trip out west and to attend the last QOGM. CITO and kazoo event this morning then off to collect a few more caches before a wee rest. Then into the train your for sunset!
bunadoorian and I had finished at the nearby CITO and were heading back into town and decided we would stop here. I found the cache first. TFTC JABs and MEMO for maintaining.

Attending the final QOGM with BenM70 this week and looking to turn solved puzzles and anything else we pass by into smilies. After completing the Flights Muster and the Jigsaws we carried on to grab a few more. Ben took the direct route in to this one. Thanks JABs for organising this and bringing a large group to the region. Well done to all over the past 5 years.
Townsvilles contingent, burgo78 and myself went to locate as many caches as possible while out in Longreach for QOGM 2023. Paper logs have been signed either individually or as TSV#1s or similar Day 2 and the first muster out to Muttaburra. Picking up these on the way. The organisers had set up a forks multi, as well as the first series of the Flights of Fantasy Trads. Then we started picking off what we hadnt yesterday. Someone just ruined the great work but Aussies in this battle for me by putting the logbook in the wrong way in this mint tin. ?? Thanks JABs for placing this Traditional for my find # 4623
Attending QOGM2023 with Imbunda, today tackled the loop of Puzzle caches to Starllight EC and return to Longreach. These were solved prior to our arrival.Along the way we met up with the MeanDe, HansandLinda, maccamob and dickbev and formed a convoy of 4 vehicles. Was a fun run even if we were tail-end-charlie and ate a lot of dust. All caches were found in good condition. Everyone got out of their car to sign the logs. After completing this trail we went our separate ways, then went in search of a few more caches closer to home.TFTC JABs
Found on a trip with e.gregory1 traveling through western New South Wales and central Queensland to attend the QOGM at Longreach. After QOGM I made my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide via the north coast of NSW, central NSW and the Riverlands. A big day of caching with Patrol14 and thought we would stop off and get this one on our way back to town. Parked in the wrong place and walked to cache. We could have parked very close to it but too the safest park due to the traffic on the roundabout.Quickly had the cache in hand and log signed by us both before replacing as found. TFTC

Over from Otautahi Christchurch for this the last Outback Muster. Spent ages working out all the puzzles but I really enjoy jigidi ones. Shame I didnt find them as I didnt join in with someone with a spare seat for the day. Thanks to all the organisers for the hard work and effort in putting this and previous events together. Only sad thing is I could only get to Blackall before this one. Sorry this is cut and paste logging but I will add in a comment as required along the way. Ma te wa from me for the time being. Im sure we will meet again
This was an extremely long day with plans to do all the QOGM geoart and letterbox caches along with random ones we hadn't previously found.I joined forces with Bluewattle and Davidwazza, and we worked efficiently and effectively as a team in finding all the caches on our to-do list. Recorded no DNF's, and only one PAF was required, and we started off with writing our full names in logs but quickly changed to initals to speed up the process and save room in log sheets. Also, apologies for these generic logs.Thank you to all the cache owners for placing such a large volume of traditional, puzzle, and letterbox caches for our benefit and enjoyment ??

Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and Im taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. After a big day out yesterday to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, today was going to be a lad back affair. So after a visit to the Qantas Founders Museum and the Pirate event the letterbox caches coords were given out so off to do them and a few others.I have been muggled out here a couple of times so maybe it was the heat keeping everybody away today. Thanks JABs and MEMO TFTC.
Our first full day in Longreach for the QOGM 2023 and a good assortment of caches and hides was found. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into placing and maintaining them. TFTC JABs
Caching the area during Longreach QOGM 2023 with a great bunch of people teamed up and signing under TADJR which incorporates Deanside , TeamAstro, Tenkae, Joohoo57 and RichmondLad. Just loving these outback trails, red dust, green foliage and blue skies! Thanks JABs for placing this cache, for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside ??
The cache itself was a quick find but getting to GZ was another matter. The navigator took me several km out of town only to find the so called road was closed to vehicular traffic and was a cycling / hiking trail. As previously stated the cache was faint so after signing the log it was off to register for QOGM 2023.
