I walked up and down a couple of times before spotting it. A forlorn bear is 'waiting' for a lift. See photograph. TFTC 94Dego94.
We found your cache today 26 May 2024 10:58am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC 94Dego94
Even after two years the sign still looks brand new... not even any spiders. But maybe that's the advantage of hot metal in an outback summer. The log was tight but with the help of tweezers it was eventually free. TFTC 94Dego94.
Tftc . The log was jammed into the container and would have fallen to pieces if I tried to get it out. Didn't sign. Took a photo instead of the cache.
#19575 - 8:10:00 AM; Day three of a road trip taking the long way to Adelaide from the National Capital with the geohoney. Spent the night in Cobar, so set off this morning for a caching run around the town to collect a few more caches before hitting the road for Broken Hill. Managed seven from seven this morning. All were in reasoable order and were returned as found once logs were signed. The logs are quite tight in this one, but managed to extract and add my stamp. TFTC 94Dego94

Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.
This one eluded us for some time until Presto there you are.

Freddo and Team Waldron are heading north for a long delayed trip to the caching fields of Cunnamulla. This cache was found on our journey. Caches were fixed where necessary. Fresh log books added. Containers refreshed.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

TFTC took 2 tries, a before and after lunch plus reading several posts going back years! Well hidden. Need your cache eyes
This one took us ages to find and felt quite silly when we did. Almost gave up and went back to the car to log a DNF.
Asked Mr LS if he checked ??? and bingo, we had it.

I am notoriously bad at finding these ones, and was just about to give up when I looked at the previous finder. Not to be outdone, I had another look and hey presto. Welcome to Cobar indeed. TFTC.
TFTC and a nice quick find. I should have worn a hat as the sun was rather warm today on my head. What a lovely sign. A favourite from me. I love rustic signs.
We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to 94Dego94 for the generation of this nice cache welcome sign for cobar (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
By chance our geocaching friends The Bebes and PelDroedGwin were in Cobar and we teamed up to clean up the remaining caches in and around Cobar. Some fun tracks were conquered with our big 4WD truck.

QOGM is now over & we head back down the highway .
Cunnamulla to Cobar
While towing the caravan we stopped along the highway where it is safe to pull over.
The weather conditions were terrible & visibility was really bad.
We made a stop at Bourke to do the new AL then on to Cobar for a couple of nights hoping that the weather may improve.
What a great welcome signs certainly different from the other entry into town.
FP given
Thanks for placing the cache.

My fingers tickled by cobwebs as I reached for this one. An impressive welcome!
Passing overnight through Cobar - again! On the long 3 day journey south from the Charleville QOGM back to home base at altitude. Going strong still with the indomitable CybergranV who never lets up!! Love the sign here at GZ - and good spot too for cache
Head back home in Melbourne from Charleville QLD and Find your cache 94Dego94, thank you so much for placing it.
Found by Mary and David at at 16:25. What an entrance! Up there with the best of them. D spent ages searching. About to give up when M found it in a place he hadn't looked. Great fun and a FP given. Our thanks to 94Dego94.
After poking and prodding for a little while, I checked previous logs where a picture provided the hint I needed, turned out I had already found it, I just didn't realise. TFTC.
Travelling to QOGM 2022 at Charleville, caching along the way.

Oh you sneaky, sneaky little thing. Not what I was expecting but well placed. I missed it on my first feel and found with the aid of the camera
Unfortunately missed out on this great gateway ! Maybe cache blindness , anyway enjoyed the GZ. Thanks 94Dego94
Upon arrival at GZ, I couldn't see a location for a hidden cache. After a couple of minutes, I was joined by my muggle mate, Keith, who found it almost immediately. So much for my experience as a cacher. Along with CybergranV, we soon had the log signed and continued our journey.
Thanks 94Dego94

Good to stretch our legs before going to our accommodation on our way from Cunnamulla en route to Griffiths tomorrow.

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth. After spending the night in Hillston, day 2 took us out to far reaches of NSW, stopping to grab a few smileys along the way to break up the straight roads. A lot of wildlife came across our path some literally, plenty of goats, emu, birds, and sheep with lambs to keep us amused. Our apologies for the generic log, but thank you to all the cache owners for the placements.
Heading north on a warm summers day we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.
We did the search on the gate and finally came up with the goods, a good hide on a well made welcome gate sign. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
