Gday TheGeoHorseman, unfortunately I wasnt able to find your cache today (Saturday 30/3/2024). Thanks for the hunt anyway!Couldnt spot it. Caching is comparatively harder here than WA!

29-Mar-24
Good to see so many new caches on the way. It has been a while since I have been to Canberra. Took my time to get there today, enjoying the great weather and looking forward to see everyone at the event later this week.TFTC Wilbert67

Decent look, no luck.

27-Jan-24
No luck today.. we had a good look, but there are plenty of caches in front of us today

12-Apr-23
Parked nearby and went over but couldn’t see. Went up the likely tree and there it was. TFTC 2050 bison tube here.

16-Jan-23
Back again and found it this time. I was initially unsure how high up to expect it but after reading turtles description got off the ground and up a tree. A quick look and i found it, definitely necessary to get up amongst the branches to sign it even if you do manage to spot it from the ground, which i wasnt able to.

#3444 As with ‘The Library’ this cache may not have been present on my previous visit. Back today with DeadThief we were still unable to spot it from the ground. Climbed up into the most climbable tree and soon eyed the hide. Not sure why we missed it from below. Thanks for another TGH!

09-Jan-23
Spent quite a while looking up through branches but couldnt spot it for the life of me. Will have to come back

I remember I found this cache a while ago, possibly 2021. However, I didn't have a pen on me at the time so I just took a photo of the container (which I believe was a mint tin if my memory serves correct).

Problem was, I kept on forgetting to log it, and finally about 4 months later when I realised it was still on my map, I had lost the photo, hooray.

So finally I am back to sign the cache for real. There was a muggle family on the playground, but I was there first, so I kept searching.

Spotted after awhile, wasn't the fastest. Soon the log was signed. Not a T4 in my book but maybe that is bias.

Bit concerned about the cache placement as it seems like it could fall off easily due to the thinness of the branch but who knows.

Took us awhile to spot this one, but found it eventually. Thanks for the cache GeoHorseman!

26-Oct-22
Stuck at home all morning, I needed to get out for a few minutes. This cache was close, so I grabbed it. It took a while to spot, but persistence paid off again.

Visiting from Qld for family and Floriad. Thought I'd do some caching while I'm here. Cute little park , could do with a mow. Very very surprised that this cache has survived being so exposed but it seems to work . TFTC TNLNSL.

Quick find on a windy day. TFTC

06-Sep-22
Spent too long here, putting too much faith in the hint. Eventually spotted it in a fairly prone position. Thanks

22-Aug-22
Given the location very surprised this is still there

Early morning cycle to collect a few caches. TFTC

31-Jul-22
After my recent DNF here I decided to come back with some daylight left. It was a bit unnerving lurking in a park in the drizzle with lots of people at home, their warm light shining through their windows.

This time I changed my parameters slightly and I made a quick find.

I am glad I could convert another blue face into a happy yellow one.

Found with fitzy on an afternoon birthday run around Canberra. A fun find.

Thanks to all the COs for putting out these caches and maintaining them for our enjoyment.

28,406. Found with minniek on a Happy 50th Birthday caching run.

With reason to celebrate we headed into Canberra again today, and once minniek was released we hit the trail. We had missed this one a while ago, but the CO says its here. so we came back for a second look. Parking nearby, we walked in and started the search. Wow there are a lot of leaves around. Took a few minutes, but then we spotted a gleam, and uncovered the cache. Yay ! Stamped the log, and then replaced the cache as found. Then we headed off to the next one.

Thanks TheGeoHorseman !!

30-Jun-22
I’ve checked the cache and it’s still there

23-Jun-22
I thought this might be easy to find, but given that the tree is bare and close to a playground it may have been muggled. Of course I could have missed it at night by torchlight, but there are not many hiding opportunities given the DT rating.

Found with ellacarn, 5/5 of the series. Not sure if it will be hidden all year round but it was definitely hidden this time of the year

13-May-22
We had to have two cracks at this one to get our name in the log, given our first attempt was thwarted by passing onlookers and nearby residents. Today was a different story: we made a quick find as we could search with no muggles around.

The blank log sheet was a treat. It was also nice to see a different type of lunchbox container. TFTC TheGeoHorseman.

No luck today but not for lack of trying. We were bested today but we will be back

Coordinates changed to:

Distance from original: 4.8 feet or 1.5 meters.

I had to change the coordinates because its original location is not the best hiding spot.

28-Apr-22
Ok, all better it is in a different spot to last time but right next to the previous location.

15-Apr-22
This cache is gone, I think someone might be taking them.

23-Feb-22
I needed to find a traditional today and given my situation it ought to be easy access. This cache seemed to fit that bill ans indeed it was easy terrain and an quick find, all in good order.

Thank you TheGeoHorseman for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

22-Feb-22
Woo hoo! This one qualifies me for my 22.2.22 badge! TFTC.

After finding a cache near the Bruce Stadium, we saw these four caches here, and added them to the list. Winding roads through the suburb here. A quick find, and cache and log are good. TFTC TheGeoHorseman.

Walked in along the path, and like most parks in canberra I suspect at the moment the grass is so long. With the good coords it was straightforward find in the first place I looked which is often nice! Thanks for the cache.

Having returned once again to Canberra after a fun long weekend, I headed out at the end of the week for a few after work caches. Two in Bruce and two in MacGregor.

This nice small park with its overgrown grass like so much of Canberra was deserted today, and I was able to find and sign the log without any issues.

Thanks for the cache TheGeoHorseman

Like the nearby cache of the CO another good one to do early morning. A nice spot that would provide some shade on a hot day which today might be. I like the COs customised camo. V cool. Tftc. .

#12597 - 9:01:00 AM; Dropped in to give this cache a try on a quick morning run. Found a convenient parking spot then headed in to GZ. Checked the wrong spot first up, then in the right location managed to bang my head twice while I was retrieving the cache and signing the log! TFTC TheGeoHorseman Smile

Parked up in the convenient spots on the road and took the short walk to GZ. Thankfully the cache was a quick find as there in chance of not being seen in the area.

Meeting Gunks in the capital to do a parkrun the following morning. Stretching the legs after the 7 hour drive from Melbourne turned into 13km in 32° heat. Earned the pub visit. Thanks for placing the cache.

03-Dec-21
Arrived in Canberra today, stopping for only one night breaking up the drive from Bathurst to Melbourne, and sneaking in a Parkrun tomorrow. It was a bit warm today but we managed a 12km walk and collected a few cache on the way before heading to the pub for beers and grub. thanks for the fun.

This was not what I was expecting! Reminded me of a little Easter egg hunt in a private little park Smile thankfully the rain kept all the muggles away today… well except for MuggleGeorge. Nice fast find for us here today. Thanks for the cache.

Was considering getting this one at 1am when I woke up to see the notification of it's publishing. But then I saw it had been found already so got it now. Tftc

Diverted to this one after completing the nearby Trig. Fortunately the playground was empty and the cache was soon to hand. The hint was useful and I hope the container lasts in this position. TFTC TheGeoHorseman.

I Just got home from a drive up Mt Ainslie to look at the approaching Storm clouds when I noticed this one on my phone. Decided it was worth a short drive to check it out.

Caught every red light and slow driver possible but never to fear as I arrived I spotted torch light moving at GZ. Quick *FTF* with AKM before heading back to the cars.

TFTC - Hope this one lasts...
