I've been eyeing up this cache for a while now. Every time I visited the waterfalls at Cedar Creek for a swim I've looked at the map and wondered how much further up the creek this cache is. Without phone signal up there I've never been able to tell. Today was the day for me to find out. With a little bit of research through previous logs I got a good idea of what to expect. [davidwazza]'s Strava tracking was a perfect guide of how long it would take, and [@1MinnieMoo](https://coord.info/PRDCNKE) & [@Pprime (P`)](https://coord.info/PR3YKQ6) coordinates gave me a revised GZ to put in my GPS. Together they mean I could head out prepared and with confidence that I knew what I was getting myself into.Once there, it was perfect excuse to go exploring through one of my favourite parts of Brisbane. Rocking your way up the creek, and stopping for the occasional swim, is great way to spend a warm day. It might make the 2.5 trek to GZ quite a bit of effort, but it's also a lot of fun.At GZ a short search at the right coords made for a quickly located the cache. Hopefully, I'll find an excuse to make the trek up here again sometime soon.

21/7/2024 Find #7097**S27 19.088' E152 46.181'**Well this one ended up being quite the multi attack adventure!!I love Cedar Creek, hence having a cache of my own out here, so when Pprime asked me to join him for this cache, I practically leapt at the chance. However, the day he chose for us to tackle it was, in hindsight, not the best option of days, as it had been rather damp lately. And while Pprime likes to feel no fear and bound like a goat, I like to take things with a little more trepidation. So we wandered up, until we got to a spot somewhere around halfway by recollection, where I suggested going along the side of the creek but Pprime was much more intent with heading straight through the guts. And as he decided to leap along, his legs came out from under him and I watched him go down right in front of me with a big thud. A quick assessment of the situation showed nothing was broken, apart from perhaps his pride, however he had well split his chin open. Patching things up as best as possible, we headed back, defeated this time, but with resolve to return, and made our way to the closest emergency medical facility we could find, for Mr P to get some stitches. It did mean I got to drive Missy - and perform a perfectly straight reverse park first go (something her owner tends to struggle with ). So today we finally returned to the scene of the crime - a multi-layered crime, as it was also a crime to humanity that Mr P now sports extra facial fuzz making us all visualise spending time with Colonel Sanders now instead. The weather was much more suitable - it was dry enough that we felt safe, but there was much less bounding from the once-bitten-twice-shy Pprime. We still managed a good pace and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery along the way. Rainforests and waterfalls are my happy place, and I certainly got to enjoy seeing some lovely falls today (just not Mr P this time! )As we neared our final destination, we realised neither of us had downloaded all the cache info to offline - rookie error - which almost became our downfall. About 100m from posted coords Pprime saw a tree he particularly liked for a hide, but that was not to be obviously. We continued on and the coords took us some way up the bank. We were less happy now as we were fighting with all the evil spiky plants nature could throw our way. And, as it turns out, at least one Gympie Gympie plant growing here, which it seems I managed to run my ankle against. Attempting to ignore the pain and discomfort this brought, we continued our search, focussing on one particular tree we happened to like for a hide, and when that yielded no results we branched out, very VERY aware of keeping an eye out for more of those stinging beasts, but with no luck. I decided to find a way back down towards the creek and change views, hoping something (other than devil plants) might jump out, while Pprime continued up high. We were getting nowhere, and began to feel rather disheartened. But then it happened. Pprime plucked some sort of miracle out of his. Well out of somewhere, and all of a sudden I heard the cry of elation ring out. I took off quickly in his direction, and sure enough, he had managed the unthinkable, locating the cache approximately 50m away from the posted coordinates, courtesy of Crooked Pete and Davidwazzas coordinates: S2719.088' E15246.181'And nowhere near evil spiky or stinging plants either!Note: you do NOT have to bushbash through the unpleasant parts of nature to find this cache!!!Boy were we pleased to have finally been able to put our names in the log here today. Then we headed back, once again enjoying the surrounds nature had to offer, before hopping in the car and heading off for coffee to finish our adventure. Thanks for the cache symple_si.

Accio 11:14:43well. 2nd time I've headed up this creek, with 1Minniemoo. Back in March I was getting my hiking legs going again after a bit of a knee issue had slowed me down, and being committed to a big big hike overseas shortly afterwards this was to be first of two prep hikes. It had been raining, but unsteady a little on the knees and the cool shade on the rocks made this a slow and steady walk. Until about halfway (just above the main falls) when I face-planted on perhaps the flattest easiest rock we'd touched to then. Not a pretty result. Blood and a numbing pain (no concussion), and nurse Moo could really do very little. We evacuated carefully (no further incident) and a visit to the emergency centre resulted in 4 stitches to the chin. And no shaving for a week or so.Recovered OK after that, and the big hikes occurred with no issues. I still haven't shaved my chin ... I like the look now (and T4mmmy approves). That's important.Today, 1MinniMoo and I were back to avenge my first failure. Bone dry rocks, warmer drier weather, and much more freely moving in the legs ... we still took it slow and steady. Got to 'Chin rock', and beyond no worries. Right up to the creek junction and then up the side creek, and up the bank all the way bush bashing our way to that big awesome white tree with interesting nooks and crannies. But no cache. Sure a bit of bounce, but nothing there or nearby and GPSrs really did keep pointing back to it. sigh. No phone coverage either so whatever was on the phones was what we had to work with for clues.Widened the search, and worked our way down towards the creek based on the little bit of one log that we could read. Still nothing, no ideas. Until I got the merest glimmer of coverage and picked up CrookedPete's log - with alt coords ... nowhere near where we were or had been. And then Davidwazzas log came in and confirmed basically the same location. Worked my way back to there - yeah we passed by not too far from this spot hmmm - and bingo there was a cache bright and bold. Yelled until Minnimoo came back. Cache found at S27 19.088' E152 46.181', which is about 57m away from the (current) posted coordinates! Coords are useful, especially in places like this yes?Signing duties done, we worked our way (safely) back down the creek to the waiting car with no incident.phew, cache avenged. Time for coffee. Thanks symple_si for entertaining me at this location.Cool *{Overall find #12583}* Cool

Regarding this hike, I set out departing from the trailhead just before 09:00 hr, and it ended up being a total distance of 5.8 km across an elevation of 215 m, with a moving time of 1:30 hr, and elapsed time of 1:45 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/11270886820). It was approximately 45 min from the [car park](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/wpt.aspx?WID=1645e1e0-44e3-429f-bcf6-084bae8a31f9&RefID=3299a294-72c6-45e5-9ad2-b55a6f2f08eb&RefDS=1) waypoint to the geocache, and then a further 15 min to Love Creek Falls. A scramble in sections, but there was enough of an informal track to follow for the most part, and enjoyable/scenic area.A cache that I needed to avenge, given my DNF and attempted FTF trek. It was still a good walk, and enough time had passed since my previous walk 2.5 years ago on 9/09/2021 that it was fresh again to me. In saying that, my mental scar was still raw, and I was afraid to make this walk solo only to come out with a DNF once again. However, I used others' coordinates, and it didn't take long to make the cache find at S 27 19.088' E 152 46.180', which is 56 m away from the (current) posted coordinates. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I couldn't help but breathe a sense of relief at the cache container that was before me.As I found this cache, I reflected at my effort for the evening of its publication. It was interesting that the original coordinates were S 27 19.096' E 152 46.149', which is an unbelievable 53 m out from where I had set the coordinates today! No wonder I had such trouble trying to find this cache in fading light / in the dark, and even with some allowance for bounce beneath tree cover, I did not consider such a distance. I spent a lot of time previously searching on the other side of the bank, and I did cross and have a vague/quick search around this area, but there were strong wait-a-while vines and increasing high density, so I reverted my attention back to the other side of the creek closer to the then posted coordinates.I did find a tiny leach following my walk, which probably attached itself from walking along the creek bank forest areas. I'm glad that I did return and utilise the daylight to see the area from another light, and Love Creek Falls was an added highlight too. Thanks symple_si for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. ---------- Today, my general plan was a northern expedition towards Dayboro, noting that I still had several clusters of ex-Dayboro Mega caches yet to be found. Along the way, I stopped at Cedar Creek Falls and hiked towards Love Creek Falls, and then continued to Dayboro for a bakery lunch. I then continued to head north-east towards Burpengary, and stopped at Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre (CREEC) to complete the [Burpengary C.R.E.E.C.](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/238e69db-725c-4a77-b5c4-42b7bb4a245b) Adventure Lab.

GreenGecko1 ask if I would like to go find this cache. Lucky for us we headed reasonably early to find a park. After the walk out there was so many cars there.Back to the cache I noticed in the log about different coords. I used those to find the cache. I followed one set and nearly walk into the cache. On the return trip I may have fallen over and some ribs. I took lots of photos today of beautiful river.symple_si thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.

I have had this cache on the last for quite a while. Had to change plans about 4 times as on the days l chose, it would pour with rain. I wanted dry rocks for safety. Today, the sun was shining and it seemed like the perfect day for it. Muggle65 and l met Brislions at the parking coords and we were all surprised by the number of cars here. But the further along we walked, the more the people thinned out. For the last kilometre, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The walk is beautiful and we stopped many times to take pictures. Having read many previous logs, we used different coordinates and found the cache quickly. Today, my phone said the coords were S27 19.088 E152 46.180. Thank you for a fun cache.

Not an early start this morning, but arriving at the parking coords maybe we shouldve come earlier. After parking back down the road we started our walk. There were families and hikers all about and we had to make way on the track at times until the traffic calmed.Following a track most of the way, and some rock hopping. After a quick easy stream hop we navigated to an alternate set of coords in which Lead Brislions straight to it.Signed & returned.

#5680 [11:54] found during our trip with kids (3, 6). they gave it up 200 meters before the cache so i managed to run here just by myself asking for 10 minutes permit Wink i hope my wife is not reading logs as i couldn't resist and i rushed to love creek falls to tick them off and have fast swim there. i really love the area here and rock hopping trips with water are of my most favorite.i found the cache easily thanks to earlier Crookedpete's log and his coordinates. my phone showed me S27 19.087 E152 46.178.thanks for placing the cache here and making this trip even more valuable Wink

I wasn't planning on a 4km return trip up the creek this afternoon but here I am. Thankfully it was a quick find despite not having the details downloaded offline. I did have CrookedPete's coords though. Thanks for the cache symple_si

This cache was quite the adventure!

Even though I've been coming here since I was very young, I had never been this far up the creek before. The walk ended up being very pleasant, but surprisingly busy given the temperature.

I was soon approaching what I thought to be GZ, but failed to see any good way to get up there - it was 40 meters up a steep hill, with very thick vines and prickly plants. There didn't seem to be any trails or even faint paths, but after some slight hesitation I decided to press on. It took a good amount of bushwhacking (and many scrapes & scratches), but I soon reached what I was sure was GZ. GPS bounce was very minimal on my phone, and it was within 5 metres of the posted coordinates. It was a large tree with a slight clearing around it - seemingly the perfect spot. In hindsight, this journey was probably far too difficult for a terrain level 4, but alas...

After about 20 minutes of fruitless searching, I decided to try bring up the previous logs, which I had neglected to save or even look at before starting the trek. After another 10 minutes of fiddling with settings and holding my phone up at just the right angle, I managed to get reception enough to load the page. Upon reading Crookedpete's log, I realised what must have happened. After inputting his coordinates and a quick backtrack, the cache was in hand - trivially easy compared to the trials I had just undergone Smile

In the end, the coordinates that I had for the true GZ were: 027° 19.089' E 152° 46.178' - quite close to both Pete's findings and the original posted coordinates. Cache and logbook were both in excellent condition still.

I'm very much regretting not reading the logs before hand, but this adventure was nonetheless a good day out.

TFTC!

My holidays are drawing to a close and I am determined to make the most of the remaining hours. Having returned from visiting the in laws last night, I spent the morning attacking the garden. Grass grows so quickly at this time of year. After this, a swim was in order and I couldn't think of anywhere better to swim on a hot day than Cedar Creek.

With a previous DNF here, I was better prepared this time, having studied previous logs and photos and recorded all the possible coordinates on offer. It was also reassuring to see that the CO had visited GZ recently, probably unnecessarily I think.

I managed to snag a park close to the trailhead. Lots of people around - it is Summer holidays after all - but they rarely get past the main waterfall 500 metres from the carpark. So most of the hike I had the creek and the rainforest all to myself.

The anticipation built as I approached GZ. The CO's new coordinates did not seem to make sense with where I thought (from the logs and photos) the cache would be found. So I ignored them - they are about 55 metre off I reckon - and continued my hunt as per the CO's description. Just before the fig tree on the edge of the creek, I headed between the two palm trees and up the bank, diverting slightly to the right at the largish rock shelf in front of me. I found myself on some flat ground above the creek in amongst the trees and next to a waist high rock shelf. Here I was glad to find the hanging container.

The coordinates that my GPS had today were S27 19.089 E152 46.181

Inside the container I found a well wrapped gift from the CO in a zip lock bag - many thanks for that. It was so well wrapped and I was dripping with sweat, so I opted not to open it until I got home later. Had I opened it at GZ, I would have selected on piece and returned the rest for future finders as suggested on the card - but by the time I was home, it was a bit late for that!

In exchange and as requested, I managed to squeeze my spare red biro into the container.

I then continued back down the creek to the main water fall, for a very welcome swim.

Along the way I startled a completely naked man sunning himself on a rock by the creek. He clearly did expect anyone to be further up the creek than him and I was not expecting to find anyone without clothes. I am not light on my feet and usually pretty noisy when walking, so I am surprised (and disappointed) he did not hear me coming and save us both some embarrassment.

The hike was a 3 hour trip allowing for a 45 minute swim and finding the cache (which I did relatively quickly this time.)

Many thanks sympie si. Thanks for the gift(s). Have a favourite point for the adventure.

Pete

Christmas Cache Maintenance:
(& some extra hints if needed)
As requested by #russelz. I have ventured up Cedar Ck to check on my cache. I can confirm that even though I placed it, it did take a few circles for me to relocate it.
It did take almost 3 hours for the round trip, walking the whole way, and stopping for photos and a very invigorating dip in the water.

If you need extra hints: top of spur between creeks, fig tree & large rock outcrops should help. (Note: the photo attached is still a good 100-200m from GZ)

In the spirit of Christmas, I have left some extra treats within.
The cache is still in good condition, with plenty of room for entries in the logbook.
But I did make a rooky CO error, and didn't take any spare pens with me, so BYO writing device.
If someone were to be kind enough to leave a pen or pencil in there, they could take multiple treats from the container.
Merry Christmas and happy caching.

Coordinates changed from:
S 27° 19.096 E 152° 46.179

Coordinates changed to:
S 27° 19.075 E 152° 46.150

Distance from original: 202.2 feet or 61.6 meters.

Previous coordinates were off when looking at features on map.
These coordinates, when plotted on the map, more accurately indicate it's location.
GPS signal unreliable at GZ due to terrain and vegetation.

Hi #russelz,
Given that there's been 9 finds in a row & only 1 DNF, plus the fact that I placed it high on the spur between the 2 creeks, in mind of possible floods, I'm confident that it's still in place. Having said that, I will endevour to get back up there between now and Christmas to check on it and leave a few fresh treats for the festive season.
Note: I have been suffering Chronic Fatigue the past 9 months, but going slow, I think I can find the motivation to get up there Smile
Thanks for your interest in my cache.

Given the previous DNF can the CO confirm the cache is still in play?

A last minute decision was made today to get some much needed exercise and this rock hop up Cedar Creek was the target.

I left the carpark at 1 pm, just in front of four young hikers - two blokes determined to show off to their girlfriends. After about 150 metres one of the young blokes was right behind me - virtually walking in my personal space. So I stopped to let him pass, but he declined to do so and made some smart arse comment, I put the hammer down, but again after about 300 metres more he was again in my personal space right behind me. When my walking pole hit him on a corner, I again stopped to let him him pass, a bit cranky this time. He again declined to pass and made some more smart arse comments - clearly showing off to his girlfriend.

Well, I lost my biscuits and let him have both barrels, giving him a quick lesson about hiking etiquette and respect. I had a hiking pole in my hand and can be be quite "persuasive" when upset.

He kept his distance thereafter. And I was only glad my car wasn't keyed when I got back to the carpark.

It took me the rest of the rock hop to GZ to calm down from my encounter with this ning nong, which is a pity, as this is a magnificent spot and a great scramble. I have never been further than the main falls, so it was all new after that.

At GZ, the GPS reception was terrible - probably +/- 20 metres. Anticipating this, I had bought the normally reliable gamin etrex 30 as backup for the phone. I still reckon there was a 1000 m2+ of terrain within tolerances that needed searching.

One location - a nice large tree on the bank with a strangler fig made sense with respect to the clues, but no find was made and only one wait- a- while needed to be removed from my face. I continued being bounced around, and expanded my search. But no find.

Whilst I had downloaded a list of caches for the afternoon, I had not downloaded all the logs and photos, which may have helped a bit. Lesson learnt.

Eventually, after about 45 minutes, I headed for home with no find - not wanting to have to rush the return rock hop to be out before dark. If I could give a favourite point for a DNF I would! Never mind, this is a great spot and I am thinking a summer visit will be in order.

Many thanks symple_si

Pete

The day finally arrived that I was free to catch up with NyssaFlutterby to explore Cedar Creek further than I had many time before - it was alway on my list of things I wanted to do and now i had another reason to further, a new cache and a fabulous friend to join me!!!

I love this place and even more now I have ventured into the beyond, and would like to go back and explore further!!!

With time for school pick up looming we headed of at a decent pace rock hoping like mountain goats only to stop for a small stint of cloud watching at the small watering hole before continueing up ever further, being quite a scardy cat of slithery kind we had a moment where Nyssaflutterby saw a tail and had to come and retrieve me and guide me past as I was kinda stuck where I was mainly out of fear......we finally reached GZ and wandered around a bit before we figured out where it most likely would be - Nyssa had the shoes for this bit as there was a small army of waitawhiles so I took a side path that meant more mountain goating skills were needed. Easy find when we got there, sign log and then the retun journey.... which also included another snakey, I was feeling a bit better in knowing where it was, Nyssa was wanting to try and I dentify it - I however was noping out of there!

All in all I loved everything about finding this cache and so will be giving a favoutirte point also.

Feel free to put another one around the area so we can explore the other realms.

I’ve been wanting to get back to Cedar Creek for a while, it’s been way too long between visits.
Teamnanabombana and I have talked about heading out here a few times but never managed to align our busy schedules. I hit her up again and thank the faeries, we were finally able to have a day free together.

It is always a joy to rock hop up to the main waterhole and we found ourselves there quickly today. I won’t mention too much about the “naturalist” fellow we passed on our journey He was certainly enjoying the cool of the water.

We have both been up top of the falls but neither of us had ventured that much further than the first creek junction. A new adventure for both of us today. Following the lovely shaded paths and rock hopping in places, it didn’t take long to be close to GZ.

That’s when the real mission started! The gps bounce up here on a phone is crazy. Thanks to the very helpful hint though we worked out where we needed to be. After wrangling a forest of wait a while (It’s just not geocaching if you don’t come back bleeding and dirty ) the beasty was spotted. To make it extra special we were lucky to have a male and female Australian King Parrot fluttering around in the tree above us as we signed the log.

Thanks for the smiley and adventure symple_si Big Grin
Happy to part with a FP for this cache!

I saw this cache on the map the other day, and suggested to T-Tech it could be fun to visit today, so after he visited my new AL, we enjoyed the drive out to Cedar Creek, then packed our gear and headed off to the creek.

It's a popular place, and it wasn't until we had gone about 1.5kms up that we stopped seeing other people! It sure was a hot and sweaty walk in the middle of the day, but we took our time. No great leaps had to be taken as we did the rock-hopping. When we finally reached GZ we dropped the bags for the search, and I opted to follow Dora the Explorer!'s co-ords. I almost convinced myself they couldn't be right, but that really did look like it matched up well with the hint, so I hauled myself up and made the find.

We headed back down to the last waterhole and had a snack and rest before refilling the water bottles and trudging back down the creek to the car. All up it was about 3 hours for us. TFTC, and adventure, symple_si. I've always wanted to get up this creek so have a favourite point.

Our for a bit of AL and high terrain caching today with IolantheK!!
A quick round of "Ferny Grove Playgrounds" AL and bonus then onto this one.
We both love working our way along a creek, moving from rock to rock and boulder.
Took us around 3 hours round trip from the end of the road.
Good thing IolantheK took her GPSR as it made finding the cache somewhat easier.
Today my only regret was that I didn't take a towel and swimmers Twisted
Cache is dry and in good condition [^]

Out with Geo wife Dora the Explorer. A nice setting for a walk. The track alongside the creek was like a rolla coaster with lots of rock jumping. Lots of waterfalls. Water help keep me cool on a hot day. Reached GZ and soon found cache. Cache is away from creek. We then dragged our bodies back to the car park. It was a tough walk but tracked defined and minimal bushbashing.

A great little adventure today with Puff'n'Puffin.

We started at the bottom and completed the clockwise loop up Black Creek to the track below Maiila then back down Cedar Creek, picking up this well placed cache on the way down.

14km in 6.5 hours including short stops for morning tea and lunch. Took a while looking around for the prize and as previously noted not a great place for gps reception, but we should have found it sooner than we did

Collected Happy Holidays Tom to move on to his next destination

Thanks for adding this cache to enhance our day's stroll sympl_sy

What a glorious hike this is... one crystal clear pool after another, linked by bubbling little waterfalls.
It’s years since we’ve been here to the pools and it hasn’t changed much at all. We took our time enjoying each pool as we went and took some photographs in the morning light. We saw and heard frogs, water boatmen, three snakes, and heard lots of birds (mainly bell birds).
After a chilly start this morning, the day soon warmed up and we were grateful this is such a shady walk. Today we ventured further along the creek than we have ever done before thanks to your cache.

Arriving at GZ our GPS and phones pretty much agreed that the cache should be ‘there’. But as can be expected under tree cover like this there was a bit of bounce. We searched all around but couldn’t find it. We then did what we always do in cases like this... spread out.
Eagle-eyed Mr W spotted the well- tethered cache across the way. Nice cache.
Gee, those are some nice swaps you’ve placed in there. We took nothing except the **FTF** token (thanks for that) and left a TB for the next finder to move along.
In the end our GPS settled on being 14m off but, as you said, it isn’t too hard to find.

We headed back the way we came and by now there were lots of people swimming in the pools.

We’ll have to come back another day for the full adventure experience you suggest.
This cache is getting a favourite point from us - it’s not an easy hike and we loved it. Thanks symple_si.

I noted this geocache was published earlier today, and so not having made any plans this evening, I thought I would give it a shot. Driving to the pools at the suggested parking coordinates wasn't too far, and perhaps just slowed by 10-15 minutes due to my decision in driving in post-work peak hour, but otherwise it was just starting to get dark by the time I arrived there. I thought I would pack light, and thus bringing a torch, my pen/stamp and phone, and perhaps I had underestimated the time and difficulty in making this journey, but set off from 18:00 hr.

I started out in awe at this cool locals spot in Cedar Creek, and really enjoyed the rock hopping adventure. I think I was expecting a bit more of a path, and there were times that I darted from one side of the creek to the other, trying to follow the makeshift path here and there. I really enjoyed a few of the sections with the large boulders, and definitely think an EarthCache would be worthy in a few sections, and even I had ideas for a few lessons to focus on. The minor falls were also really cool, and I took my time in taking photos under my bright torch light.

About 400 m from GZ, I soon spotted a nice footpad track that I could jog along, and after hitting a few of the main falls' sections, I soon arrived within the vicinity of GZ. All in all, it had taken me 50 min to arrive.

Going by the description, the hard bit was over, and finding the cache should have been a walk in the park, errm, creek. However, wow, was I wrong. There appeared to be a myriad of possible hiding spots, with various rocks and boulders, steep-ish cliffs, and so much tree cover that getting any GPS accuracy would be difficult, but nevertheless, I persevered. After roaming around, my GPS kept bringing me back to a common place, but I continued to expand my search outwards to 30-40 m, and then follow my GPS back in to GZ. An easy hide not at ground level suggested a SPOR on top of a boulder, or perhaps a hanging container from a tree, or even any hollows and tree forks that I could find, but alas, nothing was found. I continued to search for 45 minutes within a radius of about 40-50 m, and in the end, my walking into a patch of wait-a-while ivy that caught me up, with a tip catching my eye, was enough motivation to make me call my search, as well as my concern for my torch battery in getting me back to my car safely. It was pretty disappointing to have made all this effort here and left with a DNF, and trying to find a "small" sized cache in a location like this felt a little illogical. Maybe the next visitor will ultimately make a quick find, but my suspicion is whether the GZ coordinates were recorded correctly.

My return felt quicker than my heading, maybe it was because it was slightly downhill, and I was following more paths alongside the creek, than my previous adventure questioning paths that were going up the creek side edges, possibly to adjoining/neighbouring properties, and I also found a shortcut that helped. My torch had also considerably dimmed with the saving of battery, so that felt a little better too. I would love to return to this area in Summer and certainly enjoy a dip, as the water was just so clear, but yeah, an adventure that I initially enjoyed and would have definitely left a Favourite Point, to a long and frustrating search. Thanks anyway symple_si for the cache placement - I'll be watching this one with interest to see how the success of the next visitor goes.
