Called in after a Fat Bike ride on Straddie. Still not replacement then?

This morning, I joined Ruzzelz' Reindeer/Ride Group (RRG) with a morning of finding the *Cycling the Redlands* geocaches series. The rain had magically disappeared from the start of our ride, and it was an enjoyable group session. I then managed to target a few older geocaches in the area before heading home.
In the afternoon, jesswrigley and I headed out and took a walk along Enoggera Creek in The Gap, finding a few of the *On Your Bike* series frm #11 to #6. Again, the rain stayed away long enough to have a decent walk along this stretch whilst passing by many muggles similarly enjoying the afternoon.

Ruzzelz' Reindeer/Ride Group (RRG) consisted of bedmakerTG, DisSister, eatmorchikin, JQTB, La Kedi, nikid1, TaxisVW and DrPam, and teamdfl, as well as our esteemed leader Ruzzelz. Meeting at Scribbly Gums, we rode to the eastern end of the trail, with the plan to ride west and collect the caches in the series. We took a coffee break in the middle of the series at the nearby Alexandra Hills Shopping Centre, as well as a few miscellaneous geocaches that we encountered along the way. In total, we rode an approximate distance of 20 km.

We stopped off at this geocache, and we had a search in the obvious logical hiding place, but alas no luck here. We suspect this cache may be missing going by the string of DNFs, so a CO check may be required. Thanks anyway Oddiewan for the cache placement.

Had a go at this even though there were many DNF's before and had no luck. Spent a cumulative amount of time looking, stopping, walking away, then coming back to repeat for about an hour.

05-Dec-21
A morning of caching with willis007 and a day for a leisurely Sunday bike ride. A ride from Capalaba to Cleveland enjoying the recent trail of caches on the bikeway. A nice variety of caches, some very tricky hides and some not so hard. It was a fun morning and by the end of the trail, we were done. We were planning on another ride further afield, but we were feeling a little lethargic from the heat and the humidity and called it a day. We still managed to grab a couple of the older caches in the area on our around and towards home. We were happy with our haul today, we got to take it easy and enjoy the caches and the surrounds.

We had decided to head back to the car and pack up the bikes, go grab something to eat and drink before coming back and finishing off the series of caches. Plus there were a few others in the area on this side we wanted to grab. This was the next on our list and it was a DNF, so sad as we were doing well.

No cache here today.

26-Nov-21
We came back for another look and unfortunately it's a DNF for us here today

19-Nov-21
This was the first cache we looked for today but it was a little difficult with all the traffic. We'll come back at a less busy hour so we can actually look instead of just a quick feel.

With this find I’ve completed my circumnavigation of the Cleveland cemetery. Thank you for the very pleasant walk. On to the next in the series! TFTC

Back to avenge my DNF last time.

I sat myself down and felt around for a quick find.
A call of "Are you right Mate?" from a car at the lights confirmed that my search method worked.

Back to tackle some more of the Cycling the Redlands series but once again we forgot to organise any 'cycles!
Nevermind we are enjoying the walking, great exercise! Smile

Found a nice safe parking spot with no muggles about ... it was as quiet as the grave!
Perhaps that should read "as quiet as the graves" plural ... we were parked in cemetery grounds. Surprised
Mrs VC headed off to gz and was a little frustrated how 'unstealthy' the area around GZ was.
Needless to say another quick find.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Thank you great fun

Wow 4th visit and a good result, forgot to take my phone but who needs one after so many visits. Watching the traffic go by and waiting for a moment between cars, then got the cache in hand and as I was signing the log I dropped half of the cache but luckily for me I had the torch in my pocket. Quick search and had it all back together and cache replaced as found. TFTC

We had a good look but could not find the cache!

Thanks Oddiewan for putting out the cache Smile

29-Oct-21
Replaced with a new magnet nano.
Will work on a new container in the new future

28-Oct-21
Obvious hint good coordinates but no cache

19-Oct-21
I parked across the road at the swimming pool and strolled across and put myself down to check out the likely spot, None of the passing throng took any notice of the old guy resting against the pole.

I couldn't locate the cache even after doing a bit of gardening incase it may have decided to propagate.

Add me to the list of DNFs

After a meeting I stopped off to try my luck one more time and I took some TOTT this time and once again I came away empty handed. I think I will put it on watch and wait until it has been found before I return. I am either blind, my GZ is not right or I am just not meant to find it along with the other people.

16-Oct-21
Had 2 looks now, but no luck. Ignored the traffic, but still nothing. GPS bounces around like crazy.

12-Oct-21
Return visit today to look again and still no luck. I will return on the weekend for one more look before I surrender my search. It is probably looking at me, who knows.

09-Oct-21
We both had a really good look here but couldn’t find it. Next time! Thanks Oddiewan.

07-Oct-21
Attended the Logan Catch up Meeting and on my way home I dropped in to try my luck but I couldn't find and luck nor any cache. Will return by daylight and try again for this one.

*FTF*

I noticed these new caches yesterday afternoon and assumed they’d be found before now. But when I woke up and saw that they hadn’t been found, I decided to head over for a bike ride before work.

Luckily I did a new search after finding the last one and this popped up having only been published this morning and not being on my list. I made a quick but discreet find at the busy intersection. Thanks for the cache

Too many cars at the busy 4-way intersection to make a good search, always cars stopped in one direction or another. Next time perhaps
