Unfortunately the cache may have slipped to the bottom of the hollow. Or I'm short idk where it is atm
As we were looking we surprised a (thankfully very sluggish) juvenile Eastern Brown snake in the leaf litter. So we did not get this one today!
Quick find during a lunch break. Too nice a day to want to go back. Damn suppose I should. TfTC and the break.
Found on a caching adventure with 334 and 346 Squadron cadets. The guardians surrounding the cache included about 20000000000 ants.
Out shopping at Costco and others at the airport precinct. Planning our weekend ride, came here to check out the tracks. Looking forward to Saturday's ride.Total Caches Found 15725TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Spent the day in Canberra riding some of the many cycleways.Sorry this fell back in a little too far on replacing the cacheThis was one of a few I found today. ThanksTFTC
After 2 DNFs today we decided to try find one more so we weren't going home empty handed, and this one was only a slight detour on our way home.Being a Sunday afternoon the carpark was mostly empty of cars, although we had several kangaroos for company. A relatively straightforward find after checking the hint. Cache and log are both in good condition. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us all to enjoy DARKSIDEDAN.
I looked in the most obvious places, including looking through with my phone camera, but I couldnt see anything. The place has huge thistles all around it, and I didnt feel like searching further afield. Next time
Picked up a few caches in the area today while trying out the new emtb. TFTC
Found as described by robyn60.
Put it back - hopefully in the right spot. Used a naturally supplied TOTT and also added a rock to keep it in place.

TGTC - found, easier to retrieve the an replace. If you met me you would know why lol
I’m so sorry but I couldn’t replace the cache in its spot. I was unable to contact the cache owner so I have left it at ground level. When you find it, take a couple of steps back and look up and you will see the hole it should be in. If you can get it back up there I’d be so grateful. Sorry to muck everyone around
#4067 My first find for the day and probably the most challenging to not necessarily retrieve, but to replace.
In hindsight I should have gone back to the ute and grabbed a ladder.
Anyhow, back to the story. I wandered around the tree and finally caught a glimpse of the container overhead but out of reach.
A stick was enough to dislodge the container and gravity did the rest. I’ve no idea how it stayed there for the 3 weeks or so since it was last replaced.
And then to replacement. Some amateur dart skills came into play and it was back in its hole on about the 5th or 6th shot. It did however seem a little unstable so tried with the stick to make it a bit more secure. It then proceeded with the slightest touch to join me once again on the ground. More attempts to get it back proved fruitless, so brought another stick into play to put it back in its perch. Despite succeeding probably another six or so times it continued to slide back on out and constantly land in the grass.
Finally even with the container back in place I was not content with its stability so once again used said stick to place a small rock at the opening to prevent further escapes.
Hopefully it holds long enough for the next finder.
Thanks DSD for this Apollo mission. Funny that my attempts at replacement may have mimicked attempts to land on the moon.

Caching around Canberra area for a while. TFTC.
Not too hard to grab with my natural ToTT. Had to modify it to replace the cache after trying to throw it into position failed too many times.

Another afternoon caching with fitzy_1965 before the end of daylight savings.
Always nice to walk around here. Thanks so much for bringing us here today.

30,223. Found with minniek during a lovely (mostly) meander around the east side of Mt Ainslie collecting Apollo Missions and Stars.
We parked at a very familiar location to me, having parked here 1000+ times previously, and headed off into the scrub. This first one was nice and close to the car park, and we soon spotted the cache on the ground. We signed the log, then replaced it in a location as described in previous logs. I hope it stays put this time. Then we continued along the trail to the next one.
Thanks DSD !! A real subject matter I've been fascinated with nearly my whole life. Here are some photos I took at NASA KSC a few years ago.

Found on a short morning caching run around the base of Mt Ainslie. Houston, we have a problem (or "we've" had a problem, as the real-life quote was). That could be said for a majority of the time I was at GZ but it was all good in the end! I spotted the cache quickly and retrieved like clockwork, but it then became very difficult to replace. It fell out a few times, but after a mighty effort I finally had the cache nicely secured again. It would be funny watching me from afar! TFTC DSD!
Just out of reach, but a bit of a jump and we soon had this one in our hands. Very peaceful and quiet today on New Year’s Day, 2023.

Or for a ALs and a big caching day on our way home and thought we would nab this one. Wow what a great hide, had us fooled for a while but we got there. Tftc
#16346 - 2:39:00 PM; Out for a solo Sunday mission in the foothills of Mt Ainslie and Mt Majura to top up the daily finds and fill some holes in a couple of personal challenges. Checked a couple of options before spotting something suspicious. A locally available ToTT helped in the hunt and I soon had the cache in hand and the log signed. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
My last find for the day. On walking up I saw a few viable options. Tried the easy ones first with no luck. I then spotted the tell tale hide companion. And a convenient step up. Yep, That's where it will be.
I had a good giggle on how I must have looked making the find.
A favorite for a a twist on an old style..

On my way to a nearby AL, this was a quick grab en route. Managed to reach it quite easily using a natural TOTT. TFTC DSD
I headed out at lunchtime to find this cache. I managed to park quite close by which made deploying the TOTT easy. Cache replaced with container I got from the CO for the UFO series. Thanks for hiding this cache DARKSIDEDAN for me and others to find.
Did these caches a while ago but have not gotten around to submitting the log for a while! Thanks for the adventure and lovely walk!
I can see it, I can probably get it out... but would not be able to return. Will need to bring the ladder... its so close!
My first geocache for the day. I saw the cache pretty quickly, and had the old feeling of "I can get this down but can I replace it"? With a little help from a conveniently placed log, the answer was just. I had it hand fairly easily, and found a well kept cache. Getting it back wasn't quite as hard as I thought, but I was well and truly on my tippy toes and stretched to the max. Thanks Dan!
After a very wet day yesterday, I decided that I wanted to get out for a hike today. I also realised that I hadn't found a geocache on January 30, so this will be day 358 out of 366! I've been meaning to come out to Campbell Park Woodland for a while, for both the geocaches and the nature, having been told about the amazing floristic values and bird life. I wasn't disappointed, the nature was incredible. An amazing amount of wildflower around, beautiful trees, and the constant bird songs. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN, binliner and mountainsbeyond for the excellent caches!

Out and about on a Saturday morning and after a few caches at ANU, this is another great area for a spot of weekend caching. Plenty of car parks and no-one really around. Once at GZ for this one the cache was soon spotted and retrieved. Log signed, log used, cache replaced and I was off for the next one.
Thanks for the series DSD....

Today was my last day in Canberra for the year and as I had spent the day in the office, I decided to go out and see if I could find some caches. I saw a nice cluster at the back of Campbell offices so headed here. I managed to locate five today in a nice area with lots of high grass ground cover. One needed a bit of though to retrieve.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

A spontaneous bike and hide in this area to collect one older and a number of new caches in the area.
Quick find got to feel good to be tall, all in good order.
Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Tankengine and I came to do these extra fill in caches only because they were there.
They were a little annoying to get to with the really tall grass tickling my armpits (great for my snake anxiety) and the very wet slushy ground. The trails were not helpful and we ended up with very soggy feet.
This one took a little round and around to spot. Thankfully Tankengine was able to reach it in the end. Tftc!!!

No rain this morning and being a Sunday plenty of parking. Took a few minutes to spot. TFTC.
With the kids Art class starting back up after lockdown I found myself with a few hours to spare while they were busy becoming better artists. Dropped them off and headed back across the lake, finding a good spot to park not to far away from the closest hide. Stepped into the knee high grass and for the next 2km it was pretty much the same. Picked up each cache without issue, signed and replaced. Needed a few locally sourced TOTTs to retrieve but utilised my Michael Jordon skills to replace. No wiggly sticks to be seen but a number of well fed skippys bounding about. Tracked it all the way back before heading off to pick up the boys. TNLNSL TFTC

While getting my dose of outdoor exercise after work, I combined it with satisfying my need for a caching fix for the day. Cache easily located. A bit of a challenge to retrieve and replace. TFTC.

A quick and easy find with GeoPartner. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
**Our Day**
We headed out to Mulligans Flat this morning for what was going to be a straightforward collection of the already found 'new' caches released just yesterday. However, we were pleasantly surprised to be joined by Mountainsbeyond and soon to follow TikvaNZ , AngelG27 , ZQX and Fox in Jox .
Oblivious to the number of FTFs just released out this way we joined forces to enjoy the spoils as a group. We really appreciated and enjoyed all the company although it was short lived. After the FTF were collected Mountainsbeyond joined us to pickup the remaining caches as we all had our bikes. Without Fox to do another tree climb for us we had two far easier tree caches to work out on our own. Otherwise, it was a relatively quick process before heading off down the road by car to collect the new drop bear tree ladder cache on the island .
Mountainsbeyond mentioned that at a FTF cache this morning at Campbell Park was too high to retrieve on his own. As it was still available GeoPartner and I changed our plans for the afternoon and headed off with him. Surprisingly, the cache was still unfound when we arrived, so we unpacked our bikes again and made the trip to GZ.
We then picked up all the other new caches in the area, packed up our bike AGAIN heading off to the Lake to cycle to a long-ago solved multi. GeoPartner and I then went off to investigate the new the paddle caches on the Molonglo River to maybe come back another day when we have our own hovercrafts.
A tiring but fun day to start all over again Tuesday when we cycle in Namadg

Woot! [FTF] with Delta Response Team.
I'd just popped home from finding the others the the Apollo Series that had just been published when this came out. So back up to park very close to GZ, where I ran into Delta Response Team arriving.
This cache was hidden a little differently to the others and took a minute to spot. Once located DRT employed a propriety technique to make the retrieval took easy. Log signed, cache replaced and a great chat before we headed off.
And for future finders, while you're in the area have you considered searching for the nearby Planets series? A beautifully curated trail of twelve bespoke caches waiting to be found. Enjoy!
Thanks, DSD.

After finishing work for the day and walling around Lake G I decided to go do a spot of caching for the day. As I was leaving I drove past a car that looked a lot like Dty73 so I called them to check. What a surprise it was. So with that we detoured to a nearby FTF before heading our separate ways
After finding a few ones in Aranda I decided to head over here. As I arrived at gz I saw someone walking over. Mountainsbeyond and I then quickly searched the area before MB spotted the cache and I did the retrieval honours

**This Cache:**
We enjoyed placing this particular cache in the Apollo Mission series! Requires a bit more effort, or a lot more effort if your of shorter stature! A nice little hollow with a cache that fits in perfectly! Remember to put back the camoflague!
Thanks
**Lockdown:**
DSD had plans to hide lots of new caches for people to enjoy once lockdown was lifted, and invited me along each time to help out. My primary task was joint coordinate taking for accuracy, radius checking and bookkeeping of specific cache details. DSD came prepared with maps of where he wanted to hide caches each day and plenty of containers and cache hiding expertise up his sleeve due to his sheer number of hides!
This cache was placed either before, during or after the ACT Lockdown. The hidden date might not be accurate as that is when the cache page was made up and designed by DSD. I have tried to log this cache on the day it was hidden however when I have that information recorded.
