Found it almost immediately when I got to the coordinates. Couldn't log it without a pen/log being full. No low-flying aircrafts unfortunately, but I did see some planes take off from other runways. Pretty cool find. Thanks!
Wow! Tricky hide, great camo. After a bit of searching I finally foind it dspite a magpie keeping close watch a couple.of metres away! No swooping thankfully! TFTC!
Should have flown Singapore to Auckland last night but the flight was cancelled. Instead they flew us to Sydney with a 12 hour stopover before going to Wellington. Might as well make the most of it, so we headed out for some caches. Walked from the Airport along Botany Bay to Captain Cook Bridge, about 10km. Managed 10 caches and 2 swims. Always a bit nervous caching in Australia. Hard not to imagine snakes and spiders under every blade of grass. Great hide. Cache and log all fine. Happy to add a favourite point. Thanks for a great hide.
Well that took forever! The coords were spot on as it turned out, I ended up calling two pafs to get it, thanks
Out for an early cycle down to Ramsgate, grabbed this one on the way. I read a few logs prior to heading here and knew where to be but also knew it wouldn’t be easy. But the first place I started my search came up with the cache! Yay! I thought I was in for a long search! Thanks for placing this cache The Skink, #2080
It is a pretty dodgy area, but thankfully not too outside of my comfort zone. Spent ages trying to find this cache but eventually took it slow inspecting every inch until I found it. A nice hide, FP for sure

Went around the entirely wrong way to get this one - the beaten path from the footpath doesn’t lead to a carpark anymore Eventuslly found the right way to the cache and saw some planes taking off too ^_^

Liked this one- was able to drive right to GZ, and after parking really didn't take too long to find the clever piece of camo. Although it was quiet today, a cracking spot to view some planes. TFTC!
Didn't have luck last time but saw a few finds and given my luck today thought I'd be able to make a quick find. Reading prior logs had some idea of the style I was going after but still took some time... Could have sworn I looked there. Not the best GZ to be searching, bit of trash and flies but the hide is worthy of a fave (plus a cool planespotting location)All in order with cache*FAVOURITE POINT AWARDED*
Interesting GZ, agree with the other comments that doesn't feel legit being here, but given this was marked on OSM felt confident riding my bike (few muggles learning to ride their motorbike in the adjacent carpark).
GZ all to myself, grass is long here - a few interesting points of interest - couldn't make sense of the hint around GZ - after a pretty extensive search couldn't turn up anything.
Will have to come back -- great planespotting location

What a simple but effective concept, didn’t take long to find after driving down a road that made me think for a second that I was trespassing, thanks
A bit of an adventure to get to GZ as I cycled around Botany Bay. Very well placed. TFTC The Skink
This one has been unfound on our geomap for far too long, especially considering how close it is to my workplace (Airport Operations Centre & Control Tower). Had an afternoon shift today, and geoson#1 also needed to be dropped off at the airport domestics T2 terminal, so stopped at the cache after the drop-off and before the shift.
Drove down the service road past the Covid test station and parked the geomobile in the carpark. Took the hard way to GZ, walking via the bike path and an overgrown bush track, only realising afterwards that I could have driven right to GZ via the road at the back of the carpark - doh!
Arrived at GZ and quickly spotted a perfect spot for a cache, but it was empty, so I started checking everything else at and outward of GZ, but nothing cache-like was found. I was about to give up but decided to return to that initial spot to make sure I hadn't missed anything, inserting a stick to ensure it was definitely empty. Started looking in the long grass, just in case something had dropped out, and then spotted a flash of blue amongst the green & brown grass. Yep, that's the cache alright. TNLNSL, and then inserted it where I am absolutely sure it had come from, as it fitted perfectly.
No low flying aircraft action over GZ today, as all operations we out over the bay. Now it's off to work, where I'm sure there will be plenty of aircraft action in some form or other. TFTC The Skink.

Surprisingly quick find for me. But not as much luck in plane-spotting. Despite the predominantly Easterly, they seem to be still using the North-South runway. TFTC.
After an uneventful night last night I decided to start the new year on an active note and do a park run followed by some first caching in this year, a couple of events and a bike ride. It will be almost impossible to beat last year's statistics, but you never know.

Out on a bike ride along the Cooks River Cycleway with Rama497.
Not sure of the reason for bringing us to this particular place as it's not that attractive but a find is a find.
Off to find some more as we cycle along.
Thanks for the geo-fun The Skink. ??????

Very interesting to learn about how the runways are named. From world travels it had always seemed to be a bizarre random number selection - but now I know.
Since reading about this some months ago I have even explained to others!
I have been here before after completing bird surveys in Barton Park - this is a great area for native bird species. On that occasion it turned out the cache was in the maintenance department.
Today after the event to farewell 2022 a couple of us headed here.
This time despite it looking very snaky at GZ we braved it and made a quick find. Several flights took off while we were here. The noisiest was heading to Los Angeles.

Will it be the last for 2022???

Very nice simple construction. Geo bike had somewhere to lean. Many thanks for this geocache on a weather improving day.
Got the train to Wolli Creek today with the aim to cycle to Taren Point and do some of the adventure labs around there, but forgot it was magpie season and only checked on the train there, where magpies were swooping this season. Seeing three marked on the approach to taren point bridge I was hesitant to go that far and get in their path. So started some other finds on my way out to brighton. Never seen the path so quiet, guess it is a weekday and I've only ever come on weekends before.
Not sure about the name on this one and if or how it relates. GPS was bouncing and I searched a number of places before coming back to the first location I started at. Not TOTT required, i was able to open and extract with ease. Thanks.

No luck for me today
The area is very overgrown and wet making visibility very difficult. I’m really enjoying visiting the places geocaching is taking me during my visit to Sydney. I wouldn’t explore these areas otherwise ️

Glad we heeded advice on tott required. Would’ve been impossible without. Impressive camo! Fp added Tftc The Skink
May have crimped it a bit more which may be a tad more difficult for the woodbe-finders.

I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to five months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES! Well, at least I'm currently only a month and a bit behind.
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!
But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
A Puzzle and a Virtual were part of today's haul. Headed in the direction of Botany Bay for four in order to appease the Caching Calendar Gods.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Quickly spotted it but actually getting my hands on the log... The hide is a bit worse for wear but I finally managed to get it loose.
Signed, replaced and away. Time for one more.

Needed to go back to the car for a tool. The TOTT failed, but the pliers had no problem!
A brilliant little hide, that took me a significant amount of time.
Particularly as I had to wait out some muggles, local youths having their fast food in a semicolon spot. I just wish they’d take their rubbish with them, rather than throwing it in the ground.
The location could really use a bit of CITO.
Luckily I’d chanced driving all the way in, and was able to return quickly to the car to retrieve a tott when I discovered the intended method of extraction to be faulty.
After shimmying the clever camo out I signed the log and attempted a little field maintenance.
Unfortunately I strongly doubt it will last.

Unfortunately the camouflage has swelled and cracked.
I performed some very basic in-field repairs, but I seriously doubt they will last.
The CO will probably need to replace the outer camo.

A neat tricky hide in a great quiet spot. Took me a while to locate it. I suspect the supplied grab point may not be working as intended due to excess dampness. Luckily I had an extraction tool with me. Log signed, cache and camo replaced as found. TFTC!
I came by here after a very long overdue hair appointment and since the weather was very dark and windy I was glad to make a quick find. The TOTT provided was loose but luckily I had a better TOTT in my car that did the job very quickly.

Making a last ditch effort to improve my annual smiley tally after a crazy year of lockdowns, took advantage of a weekend visiting my brother in Sydney to grab a few finds on the way home. Familiar spot from a previous find here years ago (may even be the same colour container if I remember correctly). Walk didn’t feel as long today but maybe I approached from a different direction. Was a long time ago.
Eventually extracted the container, signed log and replaced. Thanks to The Skink.
TFTC,
Wow, it has been a while since I have seen where "The Skink" has been caching.
I can recall doing a cache here years ago and it was good to come back again. While here, we had a few plains take off into a strong wind.
Now that was tight as a result of swelling, so tight that I slightly bent the tool I had with me while spending over half an hour working on it as the aid provided by the CO had failed.
I took the time to help out with some maintenance and with a bit of aluminium that I found near by I made it so that it would slide.
Visited trackables.

Found with the geowife SamanthaRogers. Unfortunately 07 was not active today. 16 L AND 16R were the active runways this morning
The Skink I found your cache Zero Seven on 17/10/21, 9:15 am. This is my find 3216 and find # 1 today. After a brief search soon saw something out of place. Very tight, had a TOTT handy which made retrieval easier. Replaced but left a bit sticking out so you can hopefully grab it. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Boy that was a tight one with the rain. Plenty of plane activity with them being moved around. Cathay Pacific seemed to be making the most noise. TFTC.

[FTF] @ 1340.
I was on my way to meet up with some caching buddies after 100 days of lockdown and stuck inside my LGA. I saw this one pop up (along with about 100 others) overnight, and noticed it was still unfound. A slight detour and after following the road past the COVID testing centre (no need to get a test for this double-vaxxed guy) at the entrance and pulled up about 10m from GZ.
After checking a few features that obviously were permanent, I noticed something a little different. However I was unable to remove it by hand, but fortunately I had a TOTT in the car which eased the removal. It seems the wet weather has made the natural feature expand. I opened it up to find a blank log and my second FTF of the day. Not a bad reward after such a long time without any caching due to regulations. The replacement was tricky as it is a tight fit so it might need a bit of TLC. Unfortunately there were no planes coming in to land, but a return visit when regular flights resume might solve that.
