Logs

20-Oct-24
TFTC! of course I dropped it in the leaf litter below and had to do a second search returned however no pen to sign.

20-Jul-24
Attempted to drive down this road but was met with a shut gate! Almost considered parking here, but best not too so went elsewhere and played frogger with the traffic instead! After getting startled by some dogs on the loose we soon arrived at GZ. Lots of places to search, so we all started craning our necks and doing circles. Eventually it was spotted and I headed up to sign the log! A creative cache, thanks for the hide Smile **Signed SLT - Scaphoid, Loci612 and Toy Hunters**

20-Jul-24
Found with Toy Hunters and Loci612 during our weekend Wollongong adventure, signed at SLTs. Unfortunately, we couldn't park as close as we wanted for this one so we had a small walk to GZ. There are a lot of trees but I spied the 'shot' first and we soon had our eyes on the cache. Of course, Loci612 climbed for this one. TFTC

20-Jul-24
Found with Scaphoid and Loci612 (we signed our initials as SLTs, a sneaky reference to the Heartbreak High reboot). We didn't realise that the road gate was closed for cars, so we found parking nearby and then made our way up the hill to the cache. Cache was spotted soon enough, the zip ties helped a lot! Very cool set-up, well done! A couple of dogs were spotted around here today. TFTC GE0Joh!

18-Jun-24
I have returned the cache to up the tree. For a hint there is a black zip tie at the base of the correct tree. Happy hunting

15-Jun-24
That was unusual, actually tripped over it as I was looking up as I approached GZ expecting to climb a tree, but not wanting to in the wet conditions..It was stuck into the ground in front of the tree. Not sure if this is how it was supposed to be as it was 12m from GZ by my GPS so put it in the ground at the base of the tree but behind (after signing the log) so it was at least hidden from the road view.TFTCIronbark.

10-Jun-24
Had a good look. Climbed both trees. But couldnt see anything

01-Mar-24
Higher than anticipated, the log lay wet,Yet I managed to inscribe my name

30-Jan-24
Parked within 10m of GZ today and soon spotted the item of interest.Climbed the tree and replaced the old log sheet with a new log sheet (already signed). Another really well thought out geocache by [GE0Joh](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?id=9620738)FP given

10-Jan-24
Had a pretty comprehensive look but alas the cache eluded us

10-Jan-24
I cant see how this would need replacing with how its placed. Sounds like I need to replace the logbook. Ill have a look when Im back from holidays.

04-Jan-24

15-Nov-23

05-Oct-23
Found the tree Im sure but couldnt see cache

05-Oct-23
With all the DNF was a bit worried. But noticed the cache and went for it! Log is drenched and unable to be used. Took a photo for proof! TFTC.

14-Sep-23
No luck from Me couldn't spot it.

21-Jul-23
When I got to GZ, many things stopped me from even trying the tree climb, one: there were two trees at GZ, either one could have been the right tree. Two: both trees had numerous trunks and branches, knowing which trunk/branch to climb was difficult to guess, because: three I couldn't see the cache, last and not the least, these trees have very weak and soft branches. I moved on.

17-Jul-23
Found it but ended up a metre short. Will be back in 5 years once the kids climbing skills improve. Creative design. We all loved it

12-Jun-23
Wow. That should have a higher difficulty rating . Barked up the wrong tree and then found the right one to climb. Lucky we had a tall member of our hunting party. Once geodad got to GZ and retrieved the cache it was too hard to mark and return. So a photo was taken and will be sent to owner as proof of find. TFTC

11-Jun-23
Found it yesterday with MizMaz while we were out on a doggy adventure. Once we spotted it, I couldn't believe how close I had been on the first ascent! Loved the cache theme. Log is wet. TFTC!

10-Jun-23
Catching up with ozvixen for our weekly doggy-playdate, took advantage of her “monkey skills” to repay a visit to this GZ nearby and add another date to this month’s challenge. After an unfruitful first ascent, read a few previous logs and utilised a different angle to clearly spot the shot, which definitely now made it easier to aim for. Log wet but names added and it was off to the beach with the geomutts.

27-May-23
Not today. I was probably here for over an hour climbing trees, I’ll come back another time. More hints would be greatly appreciated.

24-Apr-23
Shot in the bark is right! Someone took a shot in the dark and got it in the bark!! Quickly spotted and a rapid climb to sign. Log is a bit soggy. TFTC

23-Apr-23
This was a bit higher than I thought and luckily I had my tall son to assist. I was 10cm too short but he could just reach. The log was wet so managed to scribe WB

I'm after at least 6 finds today to appease the Calendar Caching Gods, but why stop at 6? Decided to head down to the Illawarra for a day of finds, but unfortunately I racked up a large number of DNFs as well. That certainly wasn't the idea! As a result, it was a much longer day than it should have been.

And I suspect about half of the DNFs I just simply missed.
Ah well, that's caching for you.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Not a DNF as such. As a rule, not being a confident tree climber, if I can't see it I don't attempt it.
Didn't spot anything today.

Nice tree though.

13-Feb-23
After 30 minute Looking up in the trees I couldn't spot it anyway. wasn't really keen to climb up for it any way with the amount of spiders I hate spiders

12-Jan-23
Nice in the dark... Log was wet . I hoped it marked

12-Jan-23
Yeehaa!

25-Nov-22
One negative of being a chunky geocacher is that my big ol badonka-donk doesn't climb well. I shall assemble a more nimble squad with me next time

14-Nov-22
We had to do a temporary repair to cache, lower bit missing, log wet etc, going to come back with proper tube

30-Sep-22
Hoo climbing tree plenty of good solid branches.
This took some work

30-Aug-22
I cycled up from Port Kembla and detoured into the bush and up to a road as directed. Got to the tree but couldn't see the cache until I had climbed halfway up to it. Neat. A good tree to climb, plenty of good solid branches. Loved it.
Very accurate coords made it easy to select the correct tree to climb. Thank you very much TheBryantBoys

20-Aug-22
Just keep looking

14-May-22

26-Dec-21
I parked nearby at the park and made my way over to this cache, I love a good tree climb so before I knew it I was straight up the tree with the cache in hand! Thank you for the cache!

26-Dec-21
Out with mrwhiskers76 for Boxing Day caching. Mrwhiskers76 made the find and I signed, then attempted to get the container back to him. Thank you !

A big day in the Illawarra resulting in 20+ finds! Nearly all finds were unique, interesting and in good condition. Thanks to all Cache Owners for their contribution to our enjoyable recreational activity!

Parked at JJ Kelly Park and made my way into the Wollongong Greenhouse Park. Spotted the cache from the ground before making the ascent. A nice easy climb! TFTC

17-Dec-21
A bit of unexpected free time on this Friday afternoon left enough to find some local caches. It has been ages since I visited this park, good to be back and a good cache!

Climbed three trees. Climbed this tree three times. Just didn't look high enough. Normally I look too high, but not this time.

Cheers

11-Dec-21
I couldn’t see anything from the ground but thought there was a likely tree so up I went. Sure enough about halfway there I spotted the clever cache. Enjoyed this one- a climb but nothing too dramatic. An excellent cache I think! TFTC!

09-Dec-21
Well that was an unexpected 2 4 1 deal. Thought I’d come and find this cache as I run past here most days, then all of sudden I’m getting other caches simply cause I ventured into the park a bit further.

Find 403 for the tribe and a [FTF]!

Lunch plans were cancelled for the day just prior to this one being published and so out on an errand I diverted significantly on my way home to swing by here.

Nobody at GZ! Right I am in luck... Spent ages deciding which tree it could be. Climbed up and down, not seeing anything. About to give up after 30 minutes. Trusted my instincts and searched for one last time and then I saw it, a shot in the bark! Easy part done!

Set to work and cautiously ascended. Got up to it. Log was blank! Yay! Began the precarious work of signing a log while in a tree. Safely done and a safe descent.

Thanks for the cache TheBryantBoys! A good one! A FP coming your way.

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 10916.

When I was looking at Cacias in the gong today that I could possibly find after having driven down from Newcastle I spotted this one still had the ability to get a 1st to find. A quick check of the logs as I was passing through Liverpool saw that it was still available.
Once at the GZ I quickly spotted the case made a climb only to discover that I wasn’t the first person here anyway great cache thanks a lot

Thanks TheBryantBoys for the cache.
