Such a lovely secluded area and such a peaceful spot to be buried. Imagine knowing the circumstances and name of this person and how and why they were buried here. Who knows just another great reason to place a cache nearby so he or she can be remembered. Thanks WeAreGleesos.

This cache presented an excuse to enjoy a drive through the forest in search of a bit of history Smile
And after a few zigs and zags I reached this graveside location.
A peaceful place to take a rest Smile
Though I wasn't intending to rest as long as this miner has [:o]

Congratulations on your first hide WeAreGleesos. Out with Crustyvarmint today, he was keen to pick up this cache. The drive from the last cache to this one was slow going, and I was starting to think Crusty was luring us out to a place to do us in. Maybe we took too long to find the last cache, but we finally arrived and paid our respects to this Unknown Miner.

We struck gold, or at least found the cache.

Thank you WeAreGleesos for bringing us to this location today.

I had found all the caches through this area, and then this appeared, so I had to return. Today, while out caching with Knight_shift, we swung by and visited the unknown miner. I hope he was successful in his hunt for gold. He lies at peace.
Thank you for showing us this interesting site, WeAreGleesos.

Finally got to find the brother & SIL (WeAreGleesos) geocache! Loaded up the kids & put the learner driver behind the wheel to navigate us to ground zero. Geo baby couldn’t wait to find X Marks the spot, he was so excited to be finding the treasure! Walked in circles, tripped over a few times. Went over & checked out Unknown Miner’s grave. Walked some more circles! Bingo I spied it first! Signed log & took Lightning McQueen car for geo baby. Left something fishy for the next finder! TFTC, can’t wait to see what’s in store next. Cache dry & in good order ️

Congratulations to WeAreGleesos for their first hide, and Lucypatrick for their first ftf. What a remarkable find this gravesite is. I can't believe all the years I have been prospecting in this area that have not come across this grave before. Dalerious and I finished work early today, so we jumped in the car and did what we do best, cache Smile! I hope this cache placement is the start of many more to come from you Razz.

Last of the day for me found with catnap777 @7:15pm Cool
(Cat' got one more on the way home. Razz)

Making the most of an early knock off time, cat' and I headed for Rushworth to try our luck in gold country. Twisted
We struck it rich digging up a whole heap of caches in just a couple of hours and our appetite was satisfied by following the breadcrumb crumb trail through Moora before winding up here at the graveside of the Unknown Miner. Smile
We timed our arrival here perfectly as a single shard of evening light broke through the forest canopy landing squarely on this lonely souls final resting place. [:o]

TFTC WeAreGleesos. Big Grin
Congratulations on your first hide. [^]

Our FTF!!!!!!! I heard the ping of a new cache published close to home and baled the kids into hubby's ute in headed off. The track i picked was very rough and not one I would have normally driven on but I was on a mission. Got to GZ with poor signal so was searching for a while. Soon had my hands on the cache and FTF logged. TFTC. Congrats to Wearegleesos on your first hide.
