Having solved a few Mystery caches in the area, a last minute decision was made along with Reschedule to fly to Christchurch for Queens birthday weekend.A last minute rush at home before flying to solve some more mysterys, but that still wasnt enough, so after finally arriving at 11pm, out with the laptops to solve a few more.Saturday morning we set out with a goal, to set a new personal best. Having seen what numbers others did in the area, that shouldnt be too hard. We had some targets in mind, Eclipse, Skelly, Smurfs along with any traditionals and other random mystery caches we come across. We aquired the best vehicle for the job, a rental car! Overall we thorouhly enjoyed it, but we did not quite complete it all, so we will be back. TFTC and thanks for giving us an excuse to head for Christchurch!

01-Jun-24
Having solved a bunch of mysteries over the past couple of months, including the night before finding them. A spontaneous trip down was made by Kiwi Does Stuff and team Reschedule to collect some Canterbury caches. We have headed out to set ourselves a personal best for a days caching. The perfect caching wagon (a rental car) has been acquired allowing us to go anywhere with ease. All of the caches have made for an enjoyable weekend to remember and resulted in a solid and best days caching.Apologies for the generic log, all caches signed are a mixture of Res, Resch & Reschedule - a big thanks to the CO for creating, placing and maintaining all of their caches. TFTC!

19-Feb-24
*Catching up on some missed logs* We picked up our new van yesterday, and as GeoHubby (GNARwhal) needed to pick up some tools that he had purchased we decided it was a great time to do some caching, and park up for a coffee made in the back of the van (which will be converted to a convertible campervan. Cache took a few minutes of searching to find. Reading through previous logs helped to identify hunting options. Thanks for the cache.

19-Feb-24
On a mission with That Darn Bear and youngest GeoKiddo collecting random old tools. Just had to grab a few along the way !

#22859. Decided to take advantage of an alleyway to save a roundabout drive. Took a bit of searching to locate. Our first visit to this new subdivision. TFTC.

29-Jun-23
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a lovely sunny winters day as we travel back to Christchurch after finishing gracie7+Mum's Skelly series.
It was a bit of a detour to make this into a drive by, so instead we parked on Horndon St near the start of a walkway between this street and Landsborough Drive. A pleasant walk in the sun and soon we were at GZ. Lots of potential hiding places so we appreciated the hint (though the hint object was well hidden itself!). TFTC.

25-Jun-23
I flew in from Northland, for an ice swimming weekend at Lake Lyndon, and since passing through, thought it would be rude not to stop and say hello to a friend formerly from Northland. And also to grab this cache next to the park with their namesake! I was racing the quickly fading daylight to grab this one last cache before heading home. Thanks for the cache!

We had spotted a few other North Islanders make a personal 24hr find record so we took note of the general caches found and made a plan to try our luck, our previous best was 172, our aim was "more than Yeti", check out GC6PRMW once we have logged them all to see how we did...
Racing around we were, in the middle of the night, good hint made for a relatively quick find.

08-Apr-23
Today I got up early and hit the road to see how many caches I could find between Christchurch and Springfield. The weather was quite good, not too hot and not too cold. I really enjoyed my time exploring the back roads of Canterbury. Found in the second place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.

24-Jan-23
Found after reading previous logs. TFTC

15-Jan-23
Definitely worth reading old logs here. The hint item is almost invisible! Plenty of bigger examples about - ignore them. One in particular is showing signs of wear and tear.

Once I had that sorted it was a very quick find and I was off to look for a nemesis cache (DNF'd in 2017). Yes, I found that too. Phew!

TFTC LuckySteaks Cool
Find number 4893

(Logs signed Rincewind3 or R3 if saving space. Occasionally signed BRN if caching as a team with *B*o&bronnie, *R*incewind3 and *N*otManlyJack)

Change in flight plans meant we had a spare to geocache. What a shame! Quick find today

22-Dec-22
Well, this is a nice side of town with huge sections and lovely big houses. We found the cache after a few minutes of looking. One of the hint objects is pretty small and unrecognizable but we eventually decided to look there for a successful find. Our 9300th find.

10-Dec-22
Due to the the COVID-19 pandemic it has been four years since we last made the long trip from California to New Zealand to visit our kiwi kin. In addition to enjoying our time together we are enjoying finding some geocaches, too.

When I first visited the cache I searched and searched with no luck. Today I returned, bringing with me a local expert who led me right to it. The local expert is my four-year old granddaughter.

30-Jun-22
As I headed towards Christchurch I noticed that this cache "pop up" on my gps. So, after what seemed like a great Tiki Tour of the back roads of Darfield I ended up GZ. After having to wait out a muggle exercising her muttle to clear the area, the cache was quickly found. TFTC LuckySteaks.

Cache was a quick and easy find which surprised us after reading previous logs.

09-Jun-22

Thanks for hiding this cache LuckySteaks I appreciate it.

Despite working in Darfield for 28 years, I never drove along this road so it was an interesting side trip to look for a cache. Good to have a couple of new caches in the area. Hope you do some more! Thanks. #7685

A nice wee diversion for a quick grab. The only muggle in sight was a dog barking over the road. TFTC

21-Jan-22
Ryan must have had the day off? Nowhere to be seen and the streets all-clear, in fact, a very quiet neighbourhood during our visit. Funny how the houses at the end of the street do not have a letterbox beside the house? Cache quickly found; TFTC

16-Jan-22
