Out for weekly walk with friends. Love the history of The Goat Lady. Would never have known if it wasnt for geocaching. My friends thought I was kidding!! Mmm my coords must have been off as I checked every likely spot within 20m radius. As we were heading back south I looked up & there it was. Out with the appropriate tool & soon had it signed, replaced & happily skipped off. Tftc fav point added for bringing us to this location.

17-Nov-24
It helps if you work the coordinates out correctly as I had attempted it in the morning. I went out again once the temperatures dropped as it was too hot during the day for this New Zealander. Was a bit of a stretch for this short person but I was able to use a stick to retrieve and replace

Thanks for the cache Goat Lady!

No luck today but adored my little walk and learning about the goat lady!

Very cool find, first multi! After some confusion with timesing the co-ordinates unnecessarily was an easy find

10-Mar-24
Another well put together Multi and an easy gather of the numbers required, and the cache container to sign. All good here. Some early morning provisioning to complete, once the supermarket opened it's doors, and a trip into work with a return later planned meant again that I had some time off in the middle of the (scorching hot) day to myself. Booked out for a rip up Largs to the top and loop back down Victoria to clear a few more in the area. Nice round figures of 10 finds, a couple of Multis in the mix, and a quickly avenged recent DNF. Cheers to the hiders, the COs make the game what it is.

After our energetic morning kayaking out to 'Adventure Island', we headed towards home-for-this-week via this cache and a few others. I have to admit HansandLinda had done the hard work here and we were just along for the ride. Luckily Hans has no problems with geocaches of a higher elevation too. Thanks for find #5432TNLN

TFTC doineedthis your cache "The Goat Lady" that we found today. Day 2 at West Beach where we are camped in the lead up to the Great Leap Forward mega on the 29th of Feb. Wollaston and MeandDe are camped nearby. we hatched a plan over dinner last night to head across to Adventure Island for a kayaking adventure. We decided that we would head out in the morning, which would mean low tide at some stage of the journey. Getting to the Island was easy it was after we had found the caches that the slog back to kayakable water levels occurred. Sinking into mud, falling into the water, nearly losing shoes as the mud tried to suck them off. We got out and can laugh about it. High tide would have been easier, but not as much fun. Oh and we found all the caches we wanted to find.On our way home we stopped here to make a quick find Hans from HansandLinda and Wollaston both stand over 6ft so was no problem retrieving and replacing.Find Count: 18448

My bad, meant to log this DNF last night ??
Was down this way grabbing a few other caches, but stumbled here ??
Not sure if my final is wrong, cache missing or if I'm suffering cache blindness ??
By the time I got to this one, the light was going off a bit…….I’ll be back at some point to try again ??

The bee line started at 4.57pm in MB and it was a direct run to this cache. I parked inappropriately and detached the little fella from his lodgings. Back to the car and it needed some tweezers to release this little sucker. You have got to be kidding me, so tight, why do ppl do that.

After signing (dang I only have a red pen) I rolled it properly and it fitted back in nicely to the nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano nano container.

Yet another Tuesday Trekking for members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving group. Yet again I picked up S.A. Sewer Rat from the rat's nest, then on to Blackadders Snakepit where we jumped in the Snake-mobile. [^] A few close to the Snakepit were done then it was off towards the northeast suburbs trying to finish all the caches we still had there and anything else we came across. Cool
My GPS decided it would have a hissy fit and not work so it was cache by phone again by me. [^] We decided we would head for the Henley Beach CITO and caught up with some old friends. Then it was back home via a few newer caches and some DNFs from last month. Razz Not all of us required every cache so here are the caches I was able to put my name in the log. Razz

Had some numbers which lead me to the cache. Smile Can I reach it.........yes I can. Smile Can I find a space on the log to sign it........no I couldn't. Twisted So I ended up writing over the Geocaching preamble at the start. [:o)] The log book is OVER FULL and needs replacing. Wink

Off with froghoppin and Sebastbat and Jack on another quick tour of town. Us country folks don't get down so often and there's always a good selection of caches to visit!

The only goat here today was one Capricorn... TwistedBig Grin

Quickly spotted.

Much thanks to doineedthis for locating and maintaining this cache on our ever evolving SA cache map!

And a happy new year 2023 to all. May the caches be with you!

Exploring all over wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin
A lot of the luck stuff really !!!

*Most of the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course*.**

Beware ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]

Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside Big Grin

Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

We do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

I found this D1.5/T1.5 Multi-Cache on 4/11/2022 at 13:46. It was find #15766 for me. Thanks doineedthis for placing and maintaining this for us to enjoy in the wonderful state of South Australia.

Got it! Log sheet is full on this one!

28-Aug-22
I was now heading back towards the car and armed with the coordinates I wandered over for a look. I had a much needed tool in my bag to assist with the retrieval, so nothing much to write about there. However, it was a challenge to replace - and this was not helped by the ants deciding to crawl all over my feet Sad I got there in the end... just! TFTC doineedthis

After going out for lunch today I decided to head out and do a few multis and find a few puzzles I had solved.

It didn’t take long to collect the required information and it was a quick find, retrieve and replace at GZ.

Thanks doineedthis for the cache.

Mucked the numbers up on this one and made an extended walk to the wrong GZ - and back again [B)].
Recalculated and were taken directly to the cache Smile.

Out to collect some more caches a bit closer to home after my trip to the Yorke Peninsula yesterday, trying to clear up some DNFs and find ones I've had my eye on for a while.

After a DNF on my last attempt I was keen to have another go.

After crunching the numbers, I made the walk to GZ.

I swear I had looked there last time...

Good to turn this one into a smiley.

Put my signature in the log book and returned the cache to its hiding spot.

Signed as "P.Goldy"

Thanks to doineedthis for this cache.

Data collection was straightforward and after a short walk, we were at GZ. Accurate coordinates and a familiar object led to a quick find. Thanks for the cache.

Scape Goat is a nice drink. It came to mind as I logged this one. A cool breeze also wafted across my face as I signed the log, some what reminiscent of the breeze you get at the east end of Norfolk Island.........

Thanks to doineedthis and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

Found during a tour down LeFevre Peninsula after attending the '7am Caching Catch up' event in North Adelaide. Thanks for the cache doindeedthis!

I’d love a goat of my own to do something about all the blackberries, but I hear that they are nothing but trouble. Loved the story on the plaque, and walked directly to the cache. A nice change of pace from the mint tins, thanks doineedthis.

24-Mar-22
This log is two days late!
Tuesday 22nd started off overcast, with no prospect of rain indicated in the forecast; perfect weather for caching! Hopped aboard the nearest light rail and headed out along the peninsula.

This was my second location for the day, and it was *teeming* with muggles. The only multi on the cards for today, so I wasn't going to walk away without giving it a red hot aussie go.
Thankfully it took only a moment to retrieve the information and a nearby BBQ made a great surface for leaning on, to scribble out the conversion in my notebook.
Why are there so many cyclists?!
It took a few minutes, hovering on a corner, to find a gap in the traffic flow to reach up and collect this cache! But I got there in the end! TFTC

18-Mar-22
Did the sums when published, but I fell for an error that others indictated also...
That is not an 0 it is an O !
Re-did the formula and got a much more likely GZ, for a quick retrieve, sign, and replace.
No goats harmed, or seen, in this geocaching process...

Thanks

Sitting at the cafe with our dogs, I opened up my caching app up and was pleased to find a cache only 30m from where we were sitting.

My first go had GZ about 16km away so I figured I had something wrong. Then I noticed that some letters are missing from the alphabet. While trying to work out whether this was intentional or just a mistake, I finally realised that 2M was not 2 x M (as I automatically assumed). With all that sorted, I got some coordinates that were within walking distance. A quick stroll later I had the cache in hand.

Not too hard to get too & Freddo would do a r.a.n.t.

A fun multi. Thanks doIneedthis.

06-Mar-22
No goats seen today. I feel a nano rant coming on.

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

A morning run picking up a few that had already been found by other members of the group but where the Adder was unable to join. Then meeting a Starfish after lunch to continue seeking newer hides in areas that had previously been cleared.

Gathering the required information and calculating the math the short walk to GZ started. Hmm nothing here at GZ to search, head scratch hmm. Back to the car to re do the simple math, yep all correct, hmm. Hang on that is the letter O and not the number 0. Der.

One digit corrected and the prize was soon in hand.

Thank you for the cache doineedthis, found 3/03/2022, 12:50:08 PM

Decided to collect some more caches before sunset, specifically targeting a few new ones in the J.A.M.T series and recently solved mystery caches.

However, this one eluded me, a slight error in my numbers brought me back to WP1 where I got a better looking coordinate.

Even with that I still didn't find anything.

Most likely cause is I just missed it.

Will give it another go soon.

25-Feb-22
Needed to visit the doctor this side of town so took the opportunity to track down the latest in the J.A.M.T. series. Found the first one, then headed a little south after a couple of FTFs but came back after the doctor to get the last four so I am now up to date with the series.
Had to find this one as well while in the area.
Thanks to doineedthis for placing this cache on the SA Geocaching map.

A caching day had been organised with Doctor Owl to come down and find the lunch walk series and then continue on to find some others that have popped up between Wingfield and North Haven. We had a successful day finding all caches that we looked for and even managed lunch in a nice cafe at Semaphore. [^]

I had done the research for this one before leaving home so we headed straight to GZ where the TOTT was deployed again and the cache stamped, then replaced as found. Big Grin
