Logs
2nd of 11 found today.Came straight down which was not the best choice in hindsight. Nevertheless some water with bird life sprinkled over the top was very nice. And putting my hand on the cache in the first place I checked, even better.****The condition of the cache is - good ****TFTC ALL7 and the afro.
I decided to venture into Whitlam today and grab a quick cache prior to work. The construction site was a rather imposing sight in the distance, but it made no difference to my search at gz.The coordinates were nice and accurate which meant that, once I looked from the right angle, the cache was sighted and the log was signed. Thanks to Groot_1983 for placing this here and ALL7 for keeping it going!
Another beautiful blue sky day in Canberra and I was stuck working indoors. At some point I bailed to at least have a last hour of sunlight outside and do some caching and walking. Whitlam was an the aganeda, a few new caches here and only a short drive away. I didn't find anything on top and knew what I was looking for from the pictures. Now in the fading light and only with my phone I could just! make out something down below that could possibly be the container, so down and around I went and YES! It was the container which had fallen down. I was very happy with that, SL and replaced where I suspect the right location for it was meant to be. Thank you Groot_1983 for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
2nd last of the night and relieved with a nice fast find! Looking forward to this new suburb filling with caches in the coming years TFTC!
Took us awhile to find this one. Looking at GZ from a different angle definitely helps
A quick find with NRC while in the area playing another game. I wonder if the pond will fill up? TFTC
Out in the neighbourhood for a nice long walk catching munzees with GLISS! Couldn’t head off without grabbing this sneaky little cache. Nice fast find at GZ. Thanks for the cache.
Really over-thought this one, trying all sorts of tricky spots before finding it in a place I had already checked! Thanks
I do like it when the micro is in the first place that you look.
Found on a Father’s Day walk.

Plenty of construction going on. Good spot if you’re learning to drive.
Heads up, the paper in the micro is almost full.

I was on my way back from the Cotter and decided to go via Coppins Crossing instead of Tuggeranong Parkway. Then I remembered my DNF here. This time it took seconds to find the cache. It definitely wasn't there the last time.
The pond looks sadder than ever. Low water, rarely any plants, lots if rubbish. But in amongst it all was a Black-fronted Dotterel.

A sneaky little hide and our first in Whitlam. One day this duck pond might be real nice, but with all the recent rain it is very brown. Thanks for the cache

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

My goal was to cache in namarag reserve, plus find a few in Whitlam. This cache was tiny, and I needed the GPS to locate it as the phone ain’t that accurate. This pond is still half empty.

I couldn't find this on initial approach, but when I examined GZ from a different angle I soon had the sneaky little container located. Nicely hidden! The log's in good condition and has a fair bit of space remaining.
Thanks, Dragon 1982. The ducks saw me; I saw the ducks; there were no incidents.

#341 Stopped by here before heading home after work as I was working in the suburb today. I have this feeling I’ve been here before and found this one before. But it must be deja vu because my name wasn’t on the logbook. A nice little find, TFTC
I spent a while looking in places I didn't need to. The selfie cam on my phone being useful for that attempt, but ultimately fruitless. But a look from a different angle had me spotting it. Easy! If you look in the correct spot.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Checked all - as in ALL! - holes several times and up to 8 m away from GZ. Consulted a friend.
Came up with nothing, except irate Redback Spiders.
Either it's gone or pushed in too far.
Hint would be good - ie approximately how far from the corner.

I was out in Whitlam this Sunday evening taking the geoson for his driving lesson. It is a good place for driving practice as it has roundabouts, speed humps, wide and narrow streets, one way streets, a traffic light and very little traffic. We finished our drive around right next to this cache so of course we had to come and find it. Thankfully we found it quickly as it could’ve proved to be quite elusive. TFTC
I decided to do a few caches around Belconnen that I had not been able to get to recently today. I started with three caches in Kama reserve. The long grass was wet and seedy, but wet feet ere nothing new. It is great to see Whitlam growing, we may have lost bush land, but at least caches are going in. The final for today with the new Pinnacle multi. As ever, a nice walk. The work that has been done to clear up some of the fallen trees is amazing. The benches look very impressive.
Thanks for the cache Dragon 1982

26,822. Found with minniek during a quick run around north Canberra.
In town doing some domestics, but we still had some time for a few caches. We were muggled out here a while ago but today the coast was clear, and the pond was still. On approach to GZ we guessed aloud where it might be, and we were correct. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list. Whitlam sure is growing - but I guess "It's Time"... That will go over so many people's heads...
Thanks dragon 1982 !!

Nice quick find at GZ...unfortunately for me the next blank spot was at the very end of the roll......so I had to fully unroll then the slow painful rollup back
#12580 - 2:12:00 PM; The daily cache find challenge saw me head out on a solo mission around the Kama Reserve and Whitlam thisafternoon. Managed 10 from 10 to get the numbers I needed, which also ticked me over to my most productive caching year! After a soggy end to the Kama leg of the mission, I made it to Whitlam and a much drier environment. No problems with this one and quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC Dragon 1982
Sneaky hide, took longer though to roll the log back up than it took to find. No real issues though, only ducks about this afternoon. TNLNSL TFTC
Up or down ? Of course I found it at the second spot. This suburb is certainly growing. TFTC.
Out with Tankengine for a bit of caching in the rare display of the sun.
This cache: Nice quick find and sign and the pond hopefully has no crocodiles to eat the ducks. Tftc!!!

Parked just 34m from GZ. I took the direct route to GZ scaring myself, 6 kangaroos and dozens of ducks hiding in the long grass. They all took off upwards at the same time - talk about shock treatment!
Quick and easy find at GZ which was spot on. Good views over the pond. TFTC Dragon 1982

Another muddy pond this morning. Quick find here. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Dragon 1982
As this new cache had popped up since my last visit in the area, I took the opportunity to drop by and make the find this afternoon. A nice quiet area and a find in the second place checked. Thanks Dragon 1982.
Great to have another cache in Whitlam, and another excuse to check out this new suburb and the progress it has made since my last visit! Picking up these new caches not long after they come out has meant that I have seen this suburb slowly evolve from the start which is cool!
The pond design here seems very flawed, it looks like it has severely flooded, and the amount of water that came out of the stormwater drain into the pond must of been tremendous as it has literally pushed large rocks from in front of the drain down into the pond . The mud / dirt build up from the water is also insane. Hopefully this suburb doesn't flood in the future!
TFTC, a quick find with excellent coordinates

Found and signed dsd or Darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook thanks for the cache and the adventure .
Last of the 3 caches in Whitlam I came in for and the easiest of the 3 find....very happy with that after a long search up at the multi. Log was signed, cache replaced and I was out of there.
Thanks for this one Dragon 1982.....

My first visit to this new suburb. Made my way down to the pond where I made a quick find with only some ducks to watch me. TFTC Dragon 1982

*FTF* 11.30pm. I do love a night time publishing! I had just been out for a walk with the lucky pup who was super happy at our long slow sniffy walk. Well what do you know, a new cache not so far away. Having just walked in not to long ago and it being a lovely night to be out... it was back out I went.
Frogs here are happy by the sounds of them, by torch it was a little concern but the cache was soon found and a nice blank log... and for an extra bonus I'm not sure I've found an ACT cache published by balayang before... nice!
Thanks for the cache dragon1982!
