I've been in Surfers for a week and have had muggle friends staying with me, but now that they've flown home, I'm able to get out and do some caching around the place ... it's been 6 years since I spent time up this end of the Coast, so there's plenty for me to choose from.Doing the Seawall EC was a priority for me today, but the AL at the Botanical Gardens had also caught my eye, and I decided to head there for some "shade time" after I'd spent an hour or so in the sun at the Seawall ... and it proved to be a wonderful idea. Lots of shade and a very peaceful environment in which to relax for a while ... and to have lunch (coffee and a nice homemade spinach tart) from the cute little onsite cafe. No problems finding the cache here while doing the AL, though I can't say the same for the other two hides I looked for in the Gardens (one appears to have gone missing while the other was too good for me on the day). Out on the caching trail again with alphag_25. Going for some caches today to fill a grid. After completing the AdLab, checked to make sure there was nothing else around and Lo and behold, another cache. Quick easy find. Coords spot on.

Quick find this morning - my last day on the gold coast this trip and I decided to come out this way as I was after some caches for a small DT grid I need for a challenge. 20 differnt types in a week and managed 5 different ones out here. Yah. Thanks Aussie Liahona for your originality.

Quick find as part of our little adventure here today

We are up on the Gold Coast for an aerobics competition for a couple of days and in between breaks I try and sneak out to find some caches.
Muggles having a picnic on the grass next to GZ but I had a geo kid with me and they did t even notice what we were doing and a nice quick find was made here.

It was such a lovely evening to walk around these gardens finding caches and completing the adlab. MrMagoo72 soon had his hands on this one, and we signed the log before returning it as found. A lizard was basking on the warm rock nearby. TFTC.

Thought it was about time to collect some local caches, and today was a beautiful clear day to venture out in the lovely maintained Gold Coast Botanical Gardens.
All caches found were in great condition with user-friendly hints making for quick finds that didn't attract any curious muggles.

I was out this afternoon tracking down a few Gold Coast caches and worked my way back to this park that I visited a few weeks ago to com0lete an adventure lab with limited time. Today I had a enough time to work my way around the park with a view to see how many I could find.

After a bit of a hike around the park I made my way to the island and it wasn’t long before I had the prize in hand.

Signed the log and replaced the cache back where it came from to secure it for the next cacher

Tried a few spots and had no luck so called the owner. She is on her way to replace it and I managed to catch sight of a lovely snake as we walked away. Love this place

Wednesday wagging work day. Ok not really, it is just my day off, and it happens to be filled each week with mischief and mayhem, and a substantial amount of madness. SaintsMadHouse brought EmBem606 along for today’s fun, and we had a day packed with adventure labs and caches, taking us down to just across the border at Tweed Heads before heading back to the meeting point at Yatala Pies.
We made the short walk here slightly distracted by a beautiful flock of black swans, before beginning our search.
When they proved fruitless, a quick call to the CO had us discovering she was doing some maintenance works today anyway, so allowed us to make the find here.

Quick find with not a soul around today. Tftc

Today back down the coast for another paddle and for some other caches. I had few target caches today.

In the end I found 31. The breakdown is 11 traditional, 4 mystery, community celebration and 3 adventure labs with 15 waypoints.

One cache I found was with previous finder for some help. This is my third attempt. Yippee

I had a fun day today. Sorry for the generic log.

The first cache in the gardens I attempted but one of the last to find.

Parked close by and made my way to the little island first. With people utilising the feature at GZ, this one was put off until another time. That other time came about 10 waypoints later when I came back to the start and the island was empty.

I think this is the second cache I've found on this little island, in this very spot too. Well if a good spot is a good spot, it's a good spot I reckon. My oldest son made short work of this one today, it seems two days in a row of caching have made this lot experts.
Log signed and replaced just as a group of Japanese came around the corner to take photos of a water dragon.

We ended up visiting this island numerous times. The first time there was a muggle and child right at GZ, the second time we got it, the third time was as part of the AL.

Found last weekend with the family but unfortunately didn't have a pen to write in the log. TFTC

We come here often searching and hiding rocks but decided to search for a cache after not having much luck a few weeks ago. We didn’t bring a pen but came back yesterday and signed the log.

Brisbane, we have now set up camp at Thornside for a few days. Visiting the area to catch up with family & also to do some caching.
Today we visiting the Botanic Gardens area, we stopped to find a few caches and complete the AL while we were there.
This is the first time we have visited these really lovely gardens, the weather being good for walking & cycling.

We had to wait out a wedding party to get this location on the adventure lab, then on the way back after our walk around the lake, we realised there was an actual cache to find here too. The wedding was still there but after we retrieved a pen from the car and found another cache they had finally moved on and the coast was clear. Quick find once level with it. Nice light over the lake this late in the afternoon. A few birds scattered around minding their own business.
Luckily there was a break in the rain while we admired the gardens.

A trip to the Gold Coast today with RoddyC, Hatsoff and GrannySmith1947 to find a few caches. I thought it was going to wet but after a quick shower the sun came out.

I had found most of the caches down here when I attended an Event but time ran out ( having too much fun at the Event).
I cannot believe I was standing right here that day but I had the AL app open so completely missed this one then.
