I include a photograph of what I found. A 'little' dingle has happened here. I found the cache (in good condition) though under the guard. I signed the log and returned it. Not sure it will last though when the guard is fixed. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.

After the huge day yesterday (200 caches) was hoping for a sleep in and then a few more caches before heading home. Didnt get the first but did get the second (another 51). Glorious weather again and some beautiful country traversed.Safe park here and a quick find. Found a blue-tongue later today (in fact nearly trod on it) at my one DNF for the day.TFTC DARKSIDEDAN

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a week or so in Yass, today we headed out mid morning. Fantastic weather today. We did alot of cache maintenance today, replacing broken containers, or replacing wet soggy logs. Also finding lids and making sure the logsheets were in the containers then ensuring the lid was on properly before moving on to the next cache. It is very hard for the CO to keep up with maintenance if nobody actually reports any. [B)]TFTC DARKSIDEDAN Cool

We decided to stay another day in Yass and start on some of the trails in the outer lying roads. Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. We have commenced our raid on Yass. All logs have been signed as WA to save space, abbreviation for our team of cachers from Western Australia, who are cleaning up the series together. Cheers DARKSIDEDAN! The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 3 and we had an absolute blast, after an earlier night last night we got up early to head to Yass and the surrounding areas to cleanup a bunch of caches inparticular whereigos and our personal favourite the challenge caches. We stopped in Yass and completed some high quality caches before venturing back to the trails. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Recently, I discovered that I needed a lot more caches that have D/T rating of 1.5/1.5 so that I could claim a Challenge Cache. Those ratings are not of the kind that I would normally target, but today, I did. Having not picked up as many as I would have wished while doing the ES series, I turned my attention to a group of DSD's caches that I knew would be true to their rating. This was one of them, and I thank the CO for placing and maintaining these caches. All logs that were found were in good condition. SL

I was out and about and came across this cache to find, today. I’m slowly finding the caches, east from home. At the moment, I’m mostly focusing on the caches between Binalong and the ACT border. Finding this cache certainly has certainly helped with this mission. As I am catching up with my logging, I’m not exactly sure how long it took to find or remember what type of cache it was but I certainly enjoyed finding it all the same. Also, I have back dated this log to the day I found it. When I signed the cache, **it was either signed as JM or JohnoMawbs**. This was due to the size or amount of space on the logsheet/book. TB visit. I would like to thank the CO of this cache for placing it and for allowing it to bring the Geocaching community enjoyment. Big Grin TFTC! Big Grin

Catching up with late logs

We formulated a plan month ago to meet up with alansee, mclookers, maccamob micaparamedic, moonb1, muzza and pprass to try our luck at some challenges and also any other series around

This was the next series on the list and we did enjoy learning about the different lizards of the world, a lot of which we knew nothing of. Unfortunately we didn't see any lizards on this series which some of the crew thought was good,
We really enjoyed all the caches along this run even though we didn't get to complete it.

Apologies for the generic log but when you do so many caches so quickly and then leave logging to later on it is really hard to remember them individually.
To save room in the logs we signed as VIC1

Many thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the fantastic series, looking forward to the next one.

With FFLL#2 heading off for a hike today, FFLL#1 and I decided to go get some challenges and some cruiser stuff. We wanted a nice easy day today with the expected heat so we chose a couple small trails to do and just took our time wandering the back roads. We had a good day today, unfortunately a lot of the caches we found today are in desperate need of CO attention as heaps were complete mush and covered in black mould. We had a successful day all in all, we did replace one cache with the CO's permission after an extensive search resulted in no find and there were prior DNF's. We also placed a few temp small logs until the CO can replace the containers and logs.

Thanks for the fun day out FFLL#1, love the mini adventures we go on Big Grin and thanks to the CO's for the cache placements for us to find.

11-Feb-23
Hatched a plan with Rapidlywild to head out to north Yass to attack a couple of trails while the other half of our team was hiking up some crazy hills. We took today slow and steady and found all caches we attempted except for one but with the Co's permission we replaced this one for them. There were a lot of wet and soggy logs on our journey which could probably do with some TLC as the plastic containers used don't seem to be water tight. Small replacement logs in bags were placed in containers where the old log book was just too wet and mouldy to sign.

After heading into Yass for something to eat we decided to continue our journey as the heat that we thought was meant to come had turned into a cloud over. So back on the trails and we had a successful afternoon of caching to match the morning run.

Sorry for the generic log.

Thanks for the hide DARKSIDEDAN and thanks for a fun day out in the country side Rapidlywild.

Cache 9499 on 30 Dec 2022.

Headed out this morning with SpecimenX to grab a few caches north of Yass which had been taunting us for a while. Lots of LBHs and dirt. We saw assorted wildlife on our drive - a few shingleback lizards, some red necked wallabies, eastern grey kangaroos, some sheep on the loose, butterflies, kookaburras, parrots and a rabbit! A fun morning catching up on news and 30 caches!

Unless otherwise indicated, all caches were found in fair order and in accordance with any hints provided.

Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and the fun!

Teamed up with AngelG27 to go for a drive in the countryside around Yass. Lovely cool day for caching! Be careful on the roads - lots of potholes and road damage from all of this wet weather we've had!

All caches we found were relatively easy finds with only a few taking a few moment longer for the search [^]

Thanks for the hide, DARKSIDEDAN Cool

Day 3 of my trip with CybergranV to Yass.
After the deluge...
Ridiculous stupid amounts of rain fell yesterday afternoon and evening. We left this morning to tackle the challenge caches north of the Hume with rather a lot of trepidation.
After turning off the Lachlan Valley Hwy we struck washed out roads, water had rushed across the landscape. Remarkably we had only 1 dnf at a creek crossing so a total of 66 caches this morning through here.
First caches were 5 trads in guard rails along the road, most welcome to find these
Good coords, clues and a nice spot to get off the road.
Thanks DSD

Our kids had a variety of pets growing up, as most kids do, but I don’t have a dog, cat, or bird at home now. If I did I certainly wouldn’t have the freedom of travel that I do now, able to take off and go geocaching whenever I’m invited.
However I have always wanted a blue tongued lizard for a pet to clean up the slugs and snails in the garden.
One of those wouldn’t require you to feed and exercise, or clean up after it.
Thanks for this cache that my name was added to with feathertop’s because I don’t have a pet to keep me at home

We had planned a caching trip with Wilbert67, We started caching in the dark and ended the day in the dark. We travelled Yass and surrounding areas, so many caches have popped up since our last visit here,
The morning looked promising however it changed as the day went. sunny, windy, drizzling, The chilled went straight true us. The roads were quite muddy and some of the way the the road had big rutts, caution was taken not to get stuck along the way.
We did traditional, multis, wherigo letter boxes, mystery and challenge caches.
We always have a great day with Wilbert,
Thanks for you company,
Thanks to all the COs for their hides

Another day in Yass, but with no rain predicted and little wind. Turned out to be a good day for caching with even a few bursts of sun.
We decided to again head out of town on a loop. We learned about Snakes of the World, Turtles of the World, Lizards of the World and even a few flags. This was mixed with a number of Challenge caches and trad or two that we past.
There were a few high ts we managed to get and also a few that were beyond our TOTT!
It was all capped off with a mega multi!
A big day, but quite successful.
Great to meet up with Sui along the way, a prolific and very creative hider.

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache DARKSIDEDAN.

Find #5166

Making the most of enjoying what's left of a short lived summer and rapidly diminishing daylight saving to make some finds. Many have been on my solved pile for some time and with prolonged work commitments due to COVID I've just not had the spare time to do much caching at all as I've been working crazy hours for months.

Today was the day I said 'enough', I need a break. I need to get off my butt, away from the computer and get some fresh air and exercise. I contacted my caching buddy to see if they were free and so a long and full day of caching was planned. Just had to make the most of it, hail rain or shine.

Straightforward find here today with Marmaduke Rothschild out the back of Yass and beyond.

And so it goes, just happy to pick up caches such as this one. Thanks to DARKSIDEDAN for putting out and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment!

Fitzy_1965 and I decided to head off on a day’s caching with albida33 and, for some part, Sui_001.

We were picked up at Yass and then headed out to the furthest cache from home with our sights set on Jugiong. Then headed home via the old Hume and a slight detour to the newer caches above Yass.

It was a great day of fun and sunshine with some highlights being the 3D creations we found and a fun attempt to place a cache with Sui_001. Interesting to see how he worked.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Signed as MK, F65 & A33 or variations thereof.

Some caches around the Yass area was the target and this one was picked up along with ilook4geo. As Sui has been busy putting out new caches south of Yass, I joined MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 on a mission to visit as many old and new caches south of Yass as we could. I targeted a few caches I missed on previous trips before joining up with the others and going to Jugiong. then came the series of amazingly 3D printed caches along the old Hume highway in the company of the owner. Always lots of fun. After a difficult attempted cache placement we continued on with more Darkside Dan caches around Bowning and west of Yass.

Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

27,000. Another nice Milestone Find. Found with minniek and albida33 during a Sunday caching run out to Jugiong and north of Bowning.

With a lot of new caches being published out this way, a plan was hatched for the three of us to try to clean out the area - and we made a valiant attempt ! We dropped our car and met up with albida at a familiar location, then hit the road down to Jugiong. After finishing in Jugiong and the 3D Highway run, it was then on to these latest DSD Lizard and Challenge caches. A quick find was made once at GZ. Signed the log (either full names or as F65 MK A33), replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks DSD !! I've seen plenty of these around of course.

Out with GreyHams for a little north of Yass caching for the day. With the new caches out the previous day and this trail looking almost complete it made for a decent trip out into the area. Add in the possibility for a FTF or two and it made for a good day out. Tankengine also had the same plan but got away a little earlier than us. We met up for the last few new caches and continued on for a few others in the area together before Tank headed home and we set of for the leisurely loop we had in mind. Thanks for your cache!

We weren't sure where to go today, but a bunch of new caches up north had us thinking, 'why not'. Of course Tankengine had other ideas and set off earlier than us so he got the nearly all of the FTF's for himself. After the FTF run we settled back into relaxed mode just cruising along getting all the not stupidly high 'death is imminent if you make a mistake' caches.

After a morning wander on the Bullen Range, I decided to head to Wagga Wagga for the events there. On the way I grabbed a few of these new caches. Easily found. TFTC.
