Parked up and had a walk. No bother at any. Where oh where do all the vehicles come from and go to?
Today I decided to load up the ebike on the back of the cachemobile to do some more on the Clutha Gold Trail from Milton to Waihola.I had a good chat with a local at this one.Cheers for the cache, Natalie247.
After a fun but wet weekend for the GeoToroa Mega event held over Labour Weekend, we set off on a mini road-trip to Invercargill. There were many caches to collect so we set off early. Thanks to all the CO's who placed caches along the route we took, which was not the direct route of course. TFTC.
After a fun weekend at the Dunedin Mega we're driving to Invercargill today for a few days geocaching down there. I need some Southland finds for a challenge and I'd solved a lot of puzzles down here that are long over due for collection. I'm also working towards a 200 and a 300 South Island minute challenge. We had a full days geocaching planned for the way down but yet again I found another bunch of easily solved puzzle caches. My buddy kindly adjusted our plans and we had a lovely scenic drive down the coastal route. We were just driving through and had added these roadside trads to todays list. We only ended up getting a few of them because it was a busy road and it would have been better pulling off if we were heading in the other direction. A quick find. Thanks for the filling in this trail a bit
tmann421 and I are heading south after attending the MEGA, dodging as many showers as possibleWe enjoyed all the caches found and thank the cache owners for their efforts in maintaining these for us to findLog signed tm/ww NZTFTC
Out with woolwood9 after attending the MEGA in Dunedin.SL *tm/ww NZ* or *tm/ww*.We enjoyed the drive / walk around! Heading back into Dunedin from our overnight in Milton.*Thanks for the fun cache.*
Team SEAC consisting of HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-crane, UncleSam, Keylev and ourselves headed to Dunedin for the 2024 MEGA!All logs were signed as SEAC to save paper (except where specific signing requirements were requested)Third day of our Mega weekend. The weather although wet wasn't as cold as yesterday. Thanks to all the CO's who had maintained the caches as we found a majority with fresh paper and containers!TFTC
In Dunedin for Geo Toroa (Mega) with a team of cachers from South, East Auckland (SEAC), NZTravellers, KeyLev, HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, and myself. This is our usual annual caching trip where we usually travel to a Mega (in NZ thus far) and/or cache the area, or select an area most of us haven't been caching before, to gain maximum numbers for all. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining caches in some stunning locations that we may not have visited had it not been for geocaching. I was grateful that most of this series had a reasonable pull off to safely park in.Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space unless stated for individual sign in's.TFTC.
We are in Dunedin for the Mega and this is day 3 of our trip. We planned to get numbers today so headed to the series down this way and then cached our way back to Dunedin. All logs signed with SEAC (South East Auckland Crew) {unless otherwise required in the cache} as there are 5 caching names in the group; stik-a-crane, unclesam, NZTravellers, Keylev and us. A lot of fun was had, lots of laugh and memories made with friends. TFTC
Here for the 2024 Mega with a group from Auckland. Sorry for the generic logs. Thank you to all the cache owners who placed the caches to support my addiction. Most logs signed as SEAC.
Day 3 of our mega trip and today was the day to hit the logging trail and some extras of course! After finishing those we wandered in the general direction of our home for the weekend, caching along here. Thanks for the cache. Signed SEAC (South East Auckland Crew)
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we were staying in Balclutha we had decided that we would go for a geocaching road-trip today we had parked in Milton by Taylor Parked & as the weather was great & Mrs McMike2012 wanted to get some steps we decided to go for a walk these three caches were all easily found, log-books signed & the caches replaced as originally found were pleased to add a couple more 'smiley faces' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,234 for us!
Great snacks !Looking behind us the black clouds are not far away!! Time to get back to the car ! TFTC Natalie247
Walked to this one after getting a cache nearby. Now how long before more caches are placed on this cycleway...................
On our bikes again for our last day, from Lawrence to Waihola.Zipping along with a tail wind. Making quick easy find of these hides. Thanks for placing these on the trail. Ms M particularly liked the planting on this part of the track. Nicely designed.Although the trail was supposed to be finished last year it was only finally completed this week with the last three bridges put in place at what appears to be great expense.TFTC
Found in the second place i looked. I'm going to sort the jigsaw once I get hone so I am better prepared for my next trip through here. TFTC # 20,536
Found with daywalk while riding the almost finished Clutha Gold extension.

Collecting some more local caches today. Walking the cycle trail. So many apples! Lots of different varieties - love it - what a great initiative to plant fruit trees here for everyone to enjoy. I did enjoy an apple that I picked as I wandered among the trees, I think it was a Golden Delicious, haven't seen that variety since I was a kid - and it was certainly delicious, so crisp and sweet. Filled my pockets with as many as I could fit - wish I had brought a bag along. Tftc.
Greetings from the Czech Republic and Thanks For This Cache.

We picked the right time of year to find this cache! The apple trees are laden and we happily picked a bag of all the different varieties we could find so we spent far longer here than we needed to. Found with Spoonz2
Wow what an orchard! The trees are laden, and the apples are ripe, but it doesn't look like they have been looked after. Helped ourselves to a healthy snack which was delicious! Found with Debsnz. Thanks Natalie247.
No trouble here today. Funny thing is that I drive past this new pathway many times a year yet I didn't notice them start on this cycle way
Maybe I was doing what drivers are suppose to do and that is concentrating on driving. All good with the cache. Thanks.

Not sure why it's called that but we found it! Log a bit wet, looks like cache waterproofing has worn out.
I had a little bit of time before my flight home this morning so headed down to Milton. I enjoyed a short stroll along the trail. Didn’t get too wet despite the deteriorating weather.

A quick easy find of the very unhidden cache on a pleasant walk, and the plentiful apples were very tasty TFTC
Tasty apples for a snack. Not sure if had been blown along but was better hidden so left where I found it. Thanks for the caches. Look forward to more.
November is a busy month in most people's lives, second only to December I suspect. Teachers are very busy at this time as we begin assessing and writing school reports.
This probably explains why we have so many dot days in November and December! So the mission this year is to beat the COVID blues and the report writing mania by taking time out to fill dot days in the evenings.

I went for a walk along the track to collect these few caches. I may one day bike it! A nice quick find thanks.
Ms_KR and I are on a wee South Island break. A day collecting airport puzzles and other caches we passed on the way from Dunedin to Kaitangata. A glorious day for caching!
Oh and some of my earlier caches today might have yesterdays date on them
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

A quick find while travelling back to Invercargill today. We were on the wrong side of the road travel wise this afternoon but a big gap in the traffic allowed us to safely park up and go for a quick wander to grab a couple of these caches. We resisted the urge to grab them all as there is always some sense in saving a couple for another trip.

Have biked this before, but good excuse to walk today and pick up the caches along the way. TFTC
I wonder when they are planning to finish off this trail? It's disappointing that they haven’t even finished the trail as far as they have gone (no bridges, or closed off bridges) so you can’t even go for a ride from Milton. TFTC.
Heading though for another couple of days with the grandchildren. And yah some new caches since my last trip. Enjoyed the stretch and quick finds this evening as I headed north. Thanks for the cache Natalie247
A short walk from where parked and soon had the cache in hand. Some dodgy smells coming from
the paddock. Found with indiboo
