After a bad run this morning we decided to pick up some more of the TGHTH series with ilook4geo. Thankfully this one was an easy find and the info included was noted. Thanks for this series go to Rama497.
We were pleased to at least get some finds for the day and this was a successful one. All is good with the cache and contents. TFTC.
22/01/2024Completed a cache check.The Cache is gone.Will organise a replacement soon.
24/01/2024So yesterday, I built a new cache container and attached the QR code to the lid.I went for a drive on my way home, well really not.I have replaced the cache with a new one.I thought I would have another look for the original one and there it was in the other corner. I am sure I looked there on Monday.Oh well, a new container, new log book already for the next finder in the treasure hunt.Cache on . . . .
The last leg of our west to east adventure - Bathurst to The Central Coast (Day13). Rather than head into the 'big smoke' we chose to take the scenic route that skirted most of the city traffic. Paused by here before heading for the ferry. I was greatful for the given details making this a quick find in the light rain. Thanks for the hide Rama497
Lovely drive down here and pleasant crossing on the ferry. Can drive right up to GZ. TFTC
TFTC and the great hunt. Had fun doing this series. It only took me over a year when coming down to Sydney. What a manically day in Berowra today. I had my 60th birthday lunch here with family when I still lived in Sydney before my big move back to the Hunter Valley where I grew up.
Thanks for the easy find and placement, I had lunch at the cafe after catching the ferry across. Beautiful area.
Streak Day #3685 - Out for a sunday drive with Dave8153 for our cache of the day. This one was a quick find for us today. TFTC

Found at 1320 hours. I think this is my last one before the final. Also took the old car over the ferry. What a lovely day. TFTC
(1 of 4 today - including 1 Adventure Lab)One of those strange caching days when you make up your route as you go. As a result, I wandered around a bit (with some backtracking) for three physical and one AL finds.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Before this one I swung by Fagan Park for an AL location.I snaffled:# North America###END OF ADVENTURE LAB SECTION###This is the final preliminary cache in the series I need to collect. So decided to double back a little since I hadn't been "too far" away. After parking I went the looooong way around to GZ. My assumptions re GZ were all wrong. Finally realised where I needed to be and headed there. Then I still made the wrong assumption - and started wondering if it was AWOL.Then I opened my eyes and it all fell into place. Gotcha!Completed signing duties, grabbed my final code word, and then replaced. Time to head home.SLTNLNTFTCFinally
A quick find here after lunch at the marina and a kayak up the creek for some other caches. TFTC

We were out on Berowra Creek today, with Mighty Minions, Banj5150 and barefootjeff, with plans for up to 5 caches we had solved as groups over the last while. After 3 on-water (cliffs) caches we were about spent, so bailed for lunch at the marina. We came to find this before we headed off. The cache is in great condition, thanks for hiding.....

Been over a decade since I’ve been to this part of the world.
Lovely day for it.

After enjoying a yummy pie for lunch by the water it was time to start heading back to camp. Of course, we couldn’t leave without scribbling our marks on the log here first.
Thanks for the cache Rama497

Heading past on a family drive. Quick diversion to pick up this one, then off to the ferry. Nice and accessible thank you. Great to mark the visit to this gorgeous area.
Found exactly as per hint, photo of the QR code taken. Thanks for the quick smiley
Decided to head down to Berowra Waters and do some caches. Such a beautiful day for it. Parked about twenty metres away from GZ so perfect spot
Second trip to Berowra Waters this week only this time the ferry is operating and I can get across the river. There was a broken cable the other day!
So after a ferry ride across the river and some geological study I came over to this cache.
It was a simple hide and easy to retrieve with not a vehicle in this area.
I scanned the information - now where have I saved the others???
Only one to go in ths series then I can hunt down the treasure!

OCW frazeydaze who was after a cache to help her qualify for an "Old School NSW Challenge" cache. To appease my caching appetite frasey agreed to add some more caches to the days activities ie the TGHTH Series. All caches in this series were quickly found thanks to the generous hints. Thanks Rama497 for the series.
Out caching with oldmorty finding caches from the TGHTH series.
Quick find from a generous hint.
Log signed and QRcode scanned.
Now it’s off to catch the ferry.

Companions: None
Muggles: None
Weather: Pleasant autumn morning
Cache condition: Good
I found the other 9 caches in the series earlier this year but hadn't had a chance to find this one given its relative remoteness. I decided to combine it with an attempt on the nearby Furber Away cache. Once I parked I realised I had a problem: no mobile signal. I jogged up the road trying to remember where to go but couldn't find the path (would have been too wet anyway, turns out) and then headed back down to the parking lot. I eventually got a signal in the corner of the park, near the boat-ramp, which allowed me to download the co-ords for this cache too. I headed across to make a quick find (TNLNSQSL) and retrieved the final word. TFTC

Just the sort of GC I like. No climbing involved!!! Thanks for the GC Rama 497.
Parked quite close to GZ, retrieved the cache and logged in the car although the rain had just completely stopped. We were bogged at our last cache but a passing farmer stopped and pulled us out, what a champion. Thanks for a good hide and great series, off to the final soon.
Passing by and collected this cache before moving on. With the cache in hand we signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache container and log are in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache Rama497.

This time, at the final cache in the preliminary series, I was on the right side of the road for parking! Finding a spot on the upper level of the cars-only area in the car park, I realised I'd struck it lucky as I was right next to GZ. A quick find, with the log signed as BFJ and the QR code successfully scanned. Now to get some fish-and-chips lunch at the fish shop before joining the queue to cross on the ferry. Next time I visit Berowra Waters, I should probably pick a rainy weekday instead of a sunny Sunday.
Many thanks for the hide and the series. With the damaged QR code at Mt Kuring-gai and my DNF at Asquith, I'm still two code words short of solving the bonus cache but maybe I'll eventually get there.

I was bored out of my mind sitting at home. So time to get out, get geocaching! After finding the first cache of this new trail a few days ago, it was time to find the other 9 caches.
So heading of from Castle Hill I drove clock-wise. The third cache was at Berowra Waters. With the horrible wet weather of the past few days, it was very quiet in this area, which is normally full with people enjoying a picnic.
A short walk to GZ and the cache was quickly found. Without a connection, I could not decode the QR code. But once I was across the ferry to the Berwora side, connectivity was restored and a notification beeped on my phone with the required code word.

Heading north to Maitland to attend the GCNSW Hunter Expedition over the weekend. I targeted this new series of The Great Hornsby Treasure Hunt.
All were found easily, though the crazy weather meant I got soaked sometimes or stayed dry. I grabbed the QR codes, the Treasure Codes and saved the details for the bonus. Once I was out on the Pacific Hwy the drive through the rural suburbs was pleasant despite the occasional downpour.
A lovely drive through the NP to the ferry. And the sun came out as we crossed the river. TFTC

Found the cache quickly after realizing I was in the wrong spot.
Now for the ferry trip home.. well dammit, just missed one.....
But also had to wait longer as it seems to have been shift change over.

I love the drive down the steep windy hill with its hairpin bends, and taking the ferry over Berowra Waters. Quick find on the obvious structure. TFTC Rama497
Stopped here today on my weekly drive to Windsor and made a quick find in the rain ... luckily, though, I was able to park pretty close to GZ.
Thanks Rama ... my third treasure hunt find, now onto Arcadia.

Went out today to grab a few more of these, nice and quick find in an obvious spot. Will leave Cowan and Brooklyn for another time, as there are some others I want to find in both spots on the same trip and didn't have enough time after the loop today. Thanks Rama497. Even managed to park on the right level. The ferry crossing wait took ages though even though I got through on the first attempt.

Now I contemplated putting a cache right in this very spot. Glad I didn't. Heading to Asquith to pick up Smurfyguy and Rama497. Had a nice chat to a family out the car window as we crossed on the ferry.
