Lovely views from here. Spent ages searching before finally coming up with the goods. TFTC.
Day 6 of our central NSW adventure had us exploring Cowra this morning in a sea of thick thick fog that never lifted. But explore we did! All we could see was fog! But at least we saw the cache! Ha ha. Thanks
Find# 11349Nice easy find.We are in town for business. However, we have a free day to create some "Smileys".Nice view!TFTC Joshwa27 10 June 2024
Took a little while...and I did stop to look at the rocks for the earth cache. TFTC
Reperio 15:01With the weekend free, I grabbed the family and headed over to Cowra for a couple of hours caching. Came up this way for another cache nearby, and so walked over to this one where surprisingly the cache was found after a short search. This cache rocks. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. This cache took some time to find here as it was well hidden, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Our last day in Cowra today , so we are making a final lap of town to collect the last few unfound caches before we do some chores. Thanks for adding to our enjoyment of visiting the area.TFTCGreat spot to visit
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 4: After an epic sunrise on top of the hill this morning it was time to leave Young and head for Bathurst.A great view from this cache. We checked one side and then the other. OzHockeyChick came up with the goods here. Thanks Joshwa27 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY FOUR: Cowra & Bathurst.Great views from here! A quick find, spotted by me on a drizzly day. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Joshwa27 ~~
Solved this mystery one day before and on our departure, we decided to visit the Japanese garden (very good recommendation!).After this, we just visited this cache and then headed to our next destination. The cache was found very quickly but more or less by luck, since it was really well hidden. I left it in a slightly more obvious manner for cachers.
More artistic learnings and a different view in this beaut park. Found with MummyPenny. Thanks Joshwa27.
I enjoyed the beautiful views while waiting for the sats to settle! Once GZ stopped moving I was able to find, sign and return the cache. Fave point given.

The second day of our geo adventure holiday, after camping down by the river at Darby Falls, we set off to explore the Cowra region as it is somewhere we have never ventured and with lots of history to explore
Well, this holiday is all about taking the time to see some of the amazing gems that you find while geocaching
Nice easy find even though it was dark. It was a great view of the lights of the town and another mystery solved

Cowra trip Winter 2023 Day 1. I have been watching the growing number of caches in and around Cowra so I felt it was time to head out there and see how I could go trying to find them. The Canberra weather was pretty dreary, but it got nicer the further west I went. The caching was a bit up and down, I was happy to find some rally difficult caches, but then failed to find others. Late on the first day there was a huge storm downpour, so I was happy to be able to retreat into a hotel room for the night and have a great dinner downstairs in the front bar.
This spot is always a great place to visit in Cowra, but wow, does it blend in and the camouflage makes it even harder to spot. I was glad for a bit of help here.
Thanks for the cache Joshwa27

Day three on our short trip north to find some better weather. BettyBoo3747, the geodoggies and I are heading to Cowra and back. Today we are caching around Cowra!.
It was a great view from the lookout, but I don't think it was quite the picture on the cache page!
The log was saturated, so we replaced it with a Rite-in-the-rain one.
Thanks, Robmc.

#20950. Day 3 of a short holiday over the border in NSW with Robmc and the geodoggies. Spent the night in Cowra on the banks of the river (in the caravan park) and awoke to a frosty morning that soon turned into a glorious Autumn day. Plenty of caching around town, scenery to admire and Cowra's war history to immerse ourselves in, walks to be had and cycle paths that will encourage us to bring the bikes on our next visit.
Great place up here but the next cache is great too. Having read the previous finders log and note we came prepared and removed the pile of mush and left a new Rite in the Rain log sheet so all is good here now.
Thanks Joshwa27

Left Yass early for a mini road trip to Cowra so allrounder could do Parkrun. We decided to spend a few hours picking up some caches after she finished. Plenty of caches in the area so we will have to return to get some more.
9th find of the day. What a view!!!
Solved last night before heading up to Cowra. So many places the cache could have been. One thing just isn’t like the others.
Spotted quickly. Log signed but it was wet through.

Good to back in the finders’ circle after a DNF at the last. The log is very damp and mouldy. We were able to write on the log but it definitely needs replacing.
Nice views over the area.
Thanks again Joshwa27

Cowra. Staying at the showground. Day 2
Cowra is certainly an interesting town, this showed in the amazing locations that we found caches around town. Although we did comment on the many micro caches in town.
Glad we cached in the morning as by lunch time it had started to rain again
Thankyou to all the CO's for placing these caches.

The fourth day of geocaching with Team Canary, Brewmaker, Noodles21, ziggiau and Rainbow Spirit. After lots of walking in Wattle Flat on Wednesday, for Thursday we would take it easy and drive up to Cowra for many more solved Joswa caches, that would not require a lot of walking.
On our return back to Bathurst, we also visited some of the beautiful places in between; Carcoar, Blaney and King Plains.
Logs were signed with the team name BRINTZ. TFTC!

We were here yesterday afternoon enjoying a great sunset so there was no hesitation in returning today to locate the cache.
Thanks for the hide Joshwa27.

We decided that it was time to go on a day trip to Cowra to look for some of the new caches that had popped up in the area since we were last there. Texted Rapidlywild to see if she was interested in joining us on for the journey. It was a pretty cold day with the winds but thankfully no rain which was a bonus. No DNF's for us today which was a great and all caches were found pretty quickly and we managed to get all of the caches we targeted with a couple of labs thrown in for good measure.
Solved all puzzles prior to our journey.
Nice views from up here and a quick find, signed and off to the next.
Thanks for the hide and puzzle Joshwa27 and thanks for a good day out Rapidlywild.

The FFLL ladies had decided they wanted to go on a little tiki tour around Cowra and reached out with an invite, yes please It was a cold day however the rain held off and we were able to achieve our target area and managed to clean up again for a while. We completed 2 labs and a heap of trads and assorted caches which included an unexpected FTF.
A nice easy find here, signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the hides Joshwa27 And thanks to the FFLL ladies for a fun day out and about around Cowra [^].

Fitzy_1965 and I decided to head to Cowra for the weekend. Day 2 saw us up early and on the road again after a quick stop at the Golden Arches for a coffee.
As it has been a few years since we were last here, there has been a nice number of new caches in the area. Fitzy had kept himself busy by doing all the puzzling before headed out. Always good to find a Joshwa27 cache or two along with caches by others along the way.
We had a fun couple of days and found a nice camp spot for our second night in using the van instead of our tent. Definitely warmer than Bathurst last weekend.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Many thanks to the CO’s.

28,227. Found with minniek during a fun weekend run up to Cowra.
Day 2. Over many years of caching runs around and through Cowra I have come to really enjoy this town with some amazing history. We had previously - after many visits - finally 'cleaned out' Cowra, so it was fantastic to see many new caches by Joshwa27 and tandm86 (plus some others) appearing everywhere. So much so that we decided on a last minute run up this way this weekend. After a toasty night in our van, we headed out to try for the rest of the new caches in Cowra. This was the next one. This area was the location of a nemesis cache for me which took several visits before we found it - but thankfully we found this one nice and quickly. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed to the next one on our list.
Thanks Joshwa27 !!

After weeks of puzzling finally in the area to collect on my work. Start at Cowra with a Parkrun at 8 and then work my way to Bathurst. Also picking up the traditionals of course. Day started wet, but that doesn't stop me.

I am leaving town, so only had time for a quick search. Thank you for replacing the missing cache, but I still can't find it. In one hidey place there is what appears a twig structure to hold a cache and a cover, but no cache. I will have to attempt this again next visit, whatever year that is.
I thought it might be in the stump, but no. I extented the search, and another DNF.
Now I see the hint. I also searched among rocks.

In Cowra for an annual event and had the day today to do some caching before it starts. I solved most of the puzzles last night so could head out to find today.
I hadn't been up here on my last visit so enjoyed the views today. I found in between people visiting, was not that busy given it is Easter weekend. Maybe they are all still travelling today.

We had decided to escape the Sydney rain for hopefully a couple of days drier weather and headed west with ilook4geo. This was a puzzle that had been solved a little while ago and it was a very quick and easy find, the log soon had two more names stamped on it and we were off to continue the hunt.
Thank you to Joshwa27 for placing this cache.
