Found with stairman1. We nearly made it without getting wet but it started coming down here. TFTC
Found with goldielover today while doing the last day of the 3 Capes. That is some hike with stunning views each day.All good here with your cache Tftc
Its Day 4 of our Three Capes adventure and after climbing Mt Fortescue and heading out to Cape Hauy, its time to finish off and head out to Fortescue Bay. We picked up EeePees on our way and stopped at this one before heading back to the car. Handy to place a cache here as we were stopping here for our finish photo anyway! Thanks for the cache BudgietasFind #6252
We made it!! This was a beautiful finale after a four day walk taking in the spectacular views of this stunning area. Thanks for the cache Budgietas.
We enjoyed Three Capes Walk so much, and we were really looking forward to a swim before catching the bus ... this quick find was much appreciated! TFTC
Quick find by one of the muggles in our group. We even introduced some tourists to geocaching.
Epic winters day for a walk out to Cape Huay. We literally could not have hoped for a better day weather wise. We did worry that heading anti-clockwise around Tassie and getting to the Tasman Peninsula in winter was a foolish idea but so far we have had lucky weather. It had been a chilly start at Fortescue Bay and we started out wearing gloves and fleeces but as the day progressed our layers were shed. Spectacular views over the Southern Ocean and amazing coastline we had a brilliant day out. Out thanks to all the CO for placing caches and AL on our route to add an extra element of fun to our day.TFTC quick find here
Completing the 3 Capes trek with my brother and two sisters. Sadly, I walked so slow there was no time to do all the caches on the way. However the best and most meaningful one was at the end. I was able to take a moment to sign the log and leave a bright orange momento.Thank you for creating the opportunity for this wonderful moment.
For well over a year i have been wanting to do these Caches and this World-famous walking track to a Geological Wonder of Tasmania but just never got around to actually 'doing' it. Slack or just plain forgetful? it's one or the other so over the last month i waited for the perfect day weather-wise to not only do this awesome trail but to net me some Caches aswell.Today, Wednesday the 6th of March i parked up the GeoMobile in the Walking Trail car park and set off with all the needed gear for an 9km round trip... Water / Bandages / Food the whole bit and was hoping the phone reception would last. At GZ the cache was found in the 3rd place i looked with amazingly no Muggles there when i started my search.Signed the log at 09:52.The cache and contents are in A1 condition.TFTC Budgietas {the view back toward the beach is amazing
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.On the way to the Totempole, we lured the little one out of his hiding place after a short search and signed the guest book....Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from SwitzerlandPS: Translated with the Deepl app
What an amazing view from up here. Third day of our 5 day Tassie trip. This bay is so gorgeous. A couple of muggles sitting right at gz but that didnt deter TBS. He just reached in and grabbed. TFTC now to keep soldiering on
After starting off at Fortescue Camping Ground car park we set off with three things in mind.1) Reaching Cape Hauy (a 2 hr hike)2) Grabbing all 5 caches along the way 3) Adding to our Strava stats This was the first one along the path, 700m, as the crow flies, from the car park and I was happy for the rest. Father and daughter were also having a rest at GZ and after a brief chat, I reached in and grabbed the cache which I had spotted while chatting. The daughter knew about Geocaching so they weren't really muggles! Nice hide, looking forward to heading onwards and upwards for the next 4. TFTC
Quick find on the last leg of the Three Capes walk.Got to introduce a fellow TC walker to the hobby. Thanks
Hello Budgietas thank you for the cache
This one was an easy find.
I was suprised with how many people were walking the track.
Thank you for bringing me back out to this area.
It was a cool gloomy day to be caching but a bit of fun was had.

Was excited to find one of your caches, Budgietas, since you were one of the first to find my first hide recently! I saved this cache for the end of the hike so I had something to look forward to on the walk back. Unfortunately, when I got to the spot, the cache was sitting out in the open. I looked at the description and hint and took my best guest at what I believe was the original hiding spot of this cache.
We have just completed the 3 capes hike and there was no way I was not going to find this cache! What a journey. Sorry for brief log - I will amend when I get home. but for now...
Thanks Budgietas for contributing to our game by placing caches for us to enjoy

EeePees and I hatched a plan to tackle Cape Hauy and today was the day. Turns out it was a perfect autumn day - beautiful blue skies and no wind.
This was our first search for the day and we started to look - turns out we were both looking in slightly the wrong place, but soon we could hear the noise of a group of people approaching - it was that special kind of noise created by a school group - and soon they were right there next to us admiring the sculpture.
It looked like the could be settling in for a food and drink break so we decided to move on and have a look for this one the way back. On the return trip, I think if it safe to say we were a bit weary, and I was very sore (I was thankful I had a physio appt booked for a couple of days later) so we were keen for a quick find. I sort some intel which meant that we were able to make a very quick find on the return trip - definitely would have struggled to make the find on the trip in once the school group arrived.
This was a nice way to end our walk - just over 1km to go, and thankfully, 99% of the steps behind us. A great day out with the great company of EeePees who kept me going, and a spectacular walk.

What a perfect day for my first ever walk out to Cape Hauy.
With the fine company of Lil Rafa we left the Fortescue Bay car park just after 10am.
We got muggled out (by a year 9 school group) here this morning - probably took too long as the phones/GPSrs had us a few metres away, where the hint was useless - so we moved on.
We're now on our back back, very leg weary from an occasional stone step!
With a bit of intel learned along the way (PAF just in case the GPS was still out) - in fact we didn't even consult the GPS (too tired I reckon) - and Lil Rafa spotted it just after I walked past it!
Nice to add our monikers, and have a little spell on the return journey.
So many steps!
Thanks Budgietas for the cache and the adventure - and of course for getting me here.
Cheers, EPs.

Nalezeno společně s Radoshordos během měsíčního výletu do Malajsie, Singapuru, Bruneje a Austrálie, kde byla hlavním cílem celého výletu Tasmánie. Singapore se zároveň stává mojí 39. navštívenou zemí a Austrálie mojí 40. navštívenou zemí.
Keš jsem našel během chvilky společně s Radoshordos. Děkuji za přivedení na další zajímavé místo a za další bod do sbírky.
Zdravím z České republiky.
Found it during a one-month trip together with Radoshordos to Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Australia, where Tasmania's was main destination of the whole vacation. Singapore is also becoming my 39th visited country and Australia my 40th visited country.
I found the cash in a moment with Radoshordos. Thank you for bringing me to another interesting place and for the next point to the collection. Greetings from the Czech Republic.

On our way around Tassie for 3 weeks. About halfway through and after spending a couple of days in Hobart we were heading to walk the 3 capes walk but campsites are booked out so just did a short walk here, plus the weather wasn't looking promising, maybe we will come back in a couple of days to try again

This two week Tassie trip has been a long time coming. I have booked and rebooked a number of times thanks to sick elderly parents and various covid border lockdowns.
My first week was spent sailing a gaff rigged open wooden boat from Recherche Bay to Hobart to join the Wooden Boat Festival. My family joined me at the Wooden Boat Festival and after a few days in Hobart, we headed to the Tasman Peninsular and Three Capes.
It has been just magnificent. The trail is easy walking, the huts are great and it is a pleasure not to have to hump a tent and cooking gear.
Today, sadly, is our last day on the trail. After slogging up Mt Fortescue, it was a very pleasant walk out to Cape Hauy and the Totem Pole. There were too many stairs on the return walk, and by the time I reached here, the swim at Fortescue Bay was calling. Nice quick find
Many thanks budgietas

First cache on our honeymoon! We weren’t setting out to find caches, but as we reached this spot I thought it looked like a good area to hide one. Opened the app and there it was! A short search later and we found it. Tftc!
What a great way to finish our 3 Capes Track adventure with a couple of caches in this fantastic area.

Nice spot to catch my breath on the way back from Hauy, looking forward to lunch!
Spent a bit of time looking at GZ but found it eventually, fortunately no muggles but they turned up the moment I had re-hidden it.
Nice little hide, TFTC

I keep forgetting to log this one. Been in the area a couple of times recently. Getting to here is ezzzy, going further is somewhat more of a challenge
Was here as a beta tester on the first visit.

Took a day's leave today and decided to head out to Cape Hauy. We've been out here a few times and the last time was during the three capes walk almost two years ago. I'd forgotten how much harder the elevation was going from Fortescue Bay - those steps were relentless!
Anyway, it was a beautiful day and, as always, the views along the way were stunning. TFTC!

Ah the end of our 3 Capes walk, such an amazing walk. At the sign the kids thought we were done but we still had a bit to go before we got to the bus... thanks for the cache.
Found on the last day of our Tasmania trip - glad we saved this walk till last, my legs were wrecked for the next 24-48hours!! So many stairs (~4500 according to google), but worth the view at the cape. TFTC!
First Time in Tasman Peninsula, and this is one of my favourite place in Tassie so far (haven't been everywhere yet though, but I fell in love with landscapes in here).
Cape Haut Walk was of course on my bucket list, I knew it was really beautiful, and it really was !
Found it with Kakù and our partners, had a good fun looking for it !
Thanks for the cache !

I'm lucky enough to work at Fortescue for the next 12 months. I was excited to see some new caches pop up. I found the cache quickly, signed the log and then some muggles just stopped to have a drink so now I'm logging this cache waiting for them to go! Thanks for placing this cache here I look forward to finding some more on other days after work.
Was on my morning constitutional walk when The Roadies rang to see if I wanted to do the Cape Hauy walk and possibly get some FTF’s on some newly published caches. I had just walked for an hour already, knew what the Cape Hauy track (or slog) was like and really needed to be somewhere else, but what the heck! Considering that I had to get back home and then to The Roadies place and into Fortescue we did pretty well and thought we were pretty early.
Got to the first cache with great anticipation as no one had logged a FTF. RoadieR made the find. @%#*@# - we had been pipped at the post - so close, but no cigar! (Luckily or we would have really been puffing up those stairs! ) Logged our 2nd to find and deliberated if we should continue on (we know this track well and know it’s a hard hard slog, and our hips and knees aren’t getting any younger) … will we? won’t we? Yes, ok, we will. Pressure was off so we meandered off to the next cache. Thanks for a nice first cache.

I've done the Cape Huay walk 3 times, twice before the track upgrade and once since the track was brought up to "3 Capes" standard. It wasn't my intention to tackle the 4400+ steps **ever** again! So, my heart sank somewhat when I saw that 4 new caches were published along the length of the whole track.
RoadieR was keen. So, after seeing that the caches were still waiting to be found on Tuesday morning, it was decided that we would head out and give them a go. Made a very early morning call to tassietan, who was already out walking and was due to be elsewhere later in the day, but she was keen and made a snap decision to join us.
We managed to still head out quite early and were happy to see that no-one had yet claimed the FTF when we got to Fortescue.
Off we set, and arrived at this cache. After a bit of searching RoadieR made the find and....aah, disappointment....membsec had beaten us to the cache by an hour! Truly a case of the "early bird catches the worm" here! ..especially since they had a lot further to come than us! Congratulations and good on them! (some less kindly words were initially said when we first saw their log entry, but only in the spirit of being pipped to the FTF post)
Then we had to make the decision about whether to continue on or not. My head (and legs) told me to jump ship, but I thought it would be too wussy to give up just because we missed out on the FTFs (have I mentioned I was NEVER going to do the walk ever again?!) and I was outnumbered by tassietan and RoadieR, who were both keen to continue.
So, with the pressure off we set off on a leisurely pace to complete the rest.
Thanks for the cache Budgietas, in fairness it is a great walk with spectacular scenery and marvellous nature but sooooooo hard.

Saw these new caches come out in an area that we have thought about, many times, on doing the walk. We knew that it would be a bit of a challenge as we have done the walk on the opposite side to Dolomieu Point and that was up and down and it was a struggle for us! But today after waking early we decided to have a go at these new caches and the older caches too. We thoroughly enjoyed the views and the caches. Nice to break up our walk and have something to aim for! It was very quiet out here first thing this morning but by the time we reached Cape Hauy it was like “Bourke St” We sat and had a nice “lunch” break at Cape Hauy look out with quite a few other walkers mostly doing the 3 Cape walk.
When we reached the cache it was nice to have a rest and stretch. Male membsec was on the ball and quickly retrieved the cache. We were delighted to see that we were ftf but we didn’t really care as we were just determined to do the walk. Great to see an empty log book.
**FTF** @9:16, sorry for the delayed logging
