10:36hrs - checked furtively and unable to locate. I gave up too easily. Mainly because I got nervous when I noticed the camera monitoring the front gate of a property (10 or so meters from GZ). Lucky i left when i did, a guy on horseback trotted up. His poor equine friend looked mighty skittish around moving cars, despite me driving passed very slowly and giving them a wide berth. Poor horse was pulling against his rider, arching his neck and trying to back up. Might come back another time.

Yes, I used to play that game.Think I've still got a set in the cupboard somewhere! With the puzzle solved and this not far from my previous find I drove here. It seemed even more countryfied as I followed a horse trailor along the road. It must have had really precious cargo on board as it went verrrry slowly.I was surprised to see several vehicles coming out of the property near GZ, perhaps they thought I was lost as I parked there. I missed the container on the first pass but returned to my original choice of hiding spot and searching more carefully found the cache. There were 2 TBs inside and I took one to move along. Signed as CDI - Canberra Day Invasion. isopeda, barb2e, Kittykatch, albida33, fitzy_1965, Joolay, MinnieK, Contesta, Smittengranny. Day three of the long weekend (Canberra Day) of caching. We had solved the puzzles in the weeks and months before this trip, ALs, multis and some of the Wherigos were done at location of course.
Sorry about the generic logs - logging after days of crazy driving and navigating with not much time between the caches.

30,092. Found during an invasion of the 'Bargo up to Penrith' region on the Canberra Day long weekend with a great bunch of Cachers.

With the Canberra Day long weekend upon us, a number of Canberra region Cachers performed an invasion of the Bargo up to Penrith area. Canberra Day Invasion 2023 (signed as CDI23) consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, albida33, smittengranny, Contesta and myself. Day 2. An early-ish start soon had us on the road grabbing more caches. This was one of many pre-solved puzzles/wherigos in preparation for this trip, and a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on the list.

Thanks Booo Booo !!

Picton & Penrith Canberra Day weekend Invasion. Day 3. For the next chapter of this trip there were two farewells and an early start fro breakfast in Picton before we got underway. Today the group was made up of Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Isopeda, Smitten Granny and Contesta. We still had a plenty of caches to do and we got underway on a warming day. The group signed CDI23 the same as yesterday. In addition to all the caches we had planned for the day, we also had to get to Penrith in time for dinner. We did a mixture of roadside traditional caches and the GFA series. We ended the day with caches around Warragamba. Another long fun day caching in this region.

As we reached Wallacia, the caches became mostly part of the GFA series and we did a bit of a loop to visit as many of them as possible. We managed a break in Luddenham then finished the loop via Mulgoa.

Thanks for the cache Booo Booo

Day 2 of our Canberra Day invasion saw us start early in Bargo and finish in Penrith for the night.

I was down with a migraine for most of the morning but after the good drugs, I was much better by the end of the day when I could contribute a bit more.

We spent the day picking up trads, multis, solved puzzles & wherigos along with the odd AL thrown in for good measure.

All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

We have enjoyed solving the puzzles in this series. There are still two or three that we have not sorted yet, and they will need to wait for another visit.
This one was solved very quickly. It was a game we played a lot as children.
All was quiet at GZ, and we stopped to admire the beautiful wrought iron gate nearby.
Log signed.

After attending the Geocaching NSW event, a small group of geocahcing enthusiasts headed out west for a selection of caches around Liddenham.
I teamed up with Wilbert67 and Meritonnn for a drive around Liddenham for GFA1 to GFA 10, mingled with a few traditionals.

Today is about adventure. Geocaching NSW is organising an event at the western Sydney parklands and you can go up the trees after that. Found a few caches along the way getting there, did the new caches around the event and picked up another few on the way home. Great day and all caches found easily.

After the GCNSW event at Western Sydney Parklands, a number of us decided to head over to Luddenham way to grab the GFA series of caches. Our convey of geo-mobiles soon made a beeline for the bakery where we had a tasty lunch before splitting up into smaller groups. I joined Its_Dozzie and Wilbert67 and off we went. A nice quick find and nice to hear the creek trickling away in the background. TFTC!

We are on a cachey 10 day holiday, starting off with 2 nights at Emu Plains to hopefully collect the new GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and some more of the Band caches north of Penrith. Then it’s 5 nights at Oberon to collect some of the many new & old puzzle caches that we have solved around the area, and also hoping to complete the Oberon Adventure Lab. After leaving Oberon we will be visiting Jenolan Caves, for both the caves and the Jenolan EarthCache, then heading to Katoomba for 2 nights to ride the Scenic World attractions (Railway, Cableway, & Skyway) and to do a few caches of various types plus an Adventure Lab. We will end the holiday with a stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs. This was our 10th find of the day (day 1), and 10th find of the holiday.

A nice quick solve on the puzzle, and an even quicker find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. The gates near GZ are quite impressive. And with that being the last of the GFA caches, it's off to Emu Plains to check in to our accommodation at the Big4 caravan park. Thanks Booo Booo for the puzzle & cache.

#8842 (3 of 5 today)

I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to five months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES! Well, at least I'm currently only 3 months behind.

To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...

In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!

But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.

Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
I'd solved a number of this new series, and as it's another day to appease the Caching Gods I headed out to find a few.
Good puzzles and some fun finds.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
I'll add any comments specific to the find if I have any. Don't hold your breath, though...
