Great to visit this virtual today as we travelled around Bendigo. I loved the task for this virtual and I was lucky enough to have my special person/people with me today. They werent up for a photo as the 3year old was too busy getting her dad to take her to the nearby slide Thanks for the virtual cache here
In Bendigo with my girls for the Hockey JSC over 3 days Saturday to Monday staying at a lovely motel on the main street. Getting out on caching adventures in the breaks between games and in the evenings. Enjoying the wonderful sights and sounds of Bendigo by day and by night which in some places makes the experience all the more magical.I'm celebrating my girls here and their hockey successes. They agreed to pose in the photo as long as their backs were turned to the camera as we are a bit funny showing our faces on the internet. Great sculptures here. A nice choice to place a Virtual here for us. Thank you.Thank you for the cache here GarthBane
Found during the Great Victorian Cache Crawl. I admire my parents for being part time Grey Nomads and being active enjoying life to the max in their 70s. Enjoy our pic!
*17 Aug 2024, Found @12:07PM, Find # 3862.*Found during the Great Victoria Cache Crawl event weekend. Over the years there have been many special people in my life. My family are my greatest supporters always checking up on me and making sure Im ok. We had a bit of fun with our photo. A favourite pointed awarded here. **Thanks to GarthBane for placing this cache.**
I dont love that conspicuous feeling when rummaging around for caches in public, but put three statues in a reserve next to a busy road and ask my to take a photo of myself posing like an idiot.you got it!!! Had loads of laughs here with my geocaching buddies. I admire my aunt, who always speaks so much sense and gives great advice. I love her yearly visits from NZ!
A weekend away on The Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2024. Last year we completed half. This year we are aiming for the full crawl. Thanks GarthBane for creating for us all to enjoy. Found during the Great Victoria Cache Crawl event weekend. GarthBane, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area. My special people is my husband and our children. As well to my mum and dad, aunt and special friends who have been great to me
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.Had time to grab a couple of caches while in Bendigo, targeted this one. Life is worth celebrating and the fact were on holidays makes it even more special. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
Thanks for the virtual and for bringing us to this location. Definitely would not have stopped here if it wasnt for the cache. I would like to honour my mum in this location. Miss her every day. TFTV.
Who needs a reason to celebrate anyway.If I had to celebrate anyone, it would be all the members in my family. Esp mum and dad. After all with out them, I would not be celebrating!!A fun loop around the south east and beyond with deanside. Good to meet a couple of other geocachers over the last few days.| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Thanks GarthBane and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!
Another jaunt to Bendigo grabbing a few caches along the way. My daughter is my inspiration, such a strong woman who has pulled herself through so much adversity. Shes an amazing mother to two beautiful girls who I know will grow up to be amazing women, having her as a wonderful role model. Shes funny, smart and a bubbly personality who continually undermines herself, not realising how much strength and potential she holds. I hope she realises one day how proud and amazed that she came from me!Thanks GarthBane for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Thank you for bringing us here. A vibrant sculpture. Very grateful for my children and they'll always be part of 4xseekers.
Nice easy virtual .Personal special in my life is my twin sisterElizabeth ,caching name earthlightShe is always there for me .Loved the statues Tftc

Day 10 of my interstate trip. Today I left Mount Franklin Reserve making my way north as far as Greens Lake Reserve near Stanhope. I managed to find 11 caches today and 2 DNF's.A quick stop off and a one photo later and off to the next one.TFTC GarthBane
Heading back home from a long weekend road trip from Echuca and decided to go back via Bendigo for a bit of variety. My parents are my inspiration and why I have got to where I am in life. Thanks GarthBane for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
family trip to Bendigo for the youngest member of the Sims_family to be fitted for clothing needed for his Ring Bearer /Page boy duties. Sims_family dad had his eye on a nearby Virtual for a challenge cache he is working on so it seemed like a great place to stop for a picnic lunch and grab a cache or two.We need a Virtual on the 2nd of a month to complete a challenge cache that we have been working on for quite some time and with very little cache left anywhere near home this was a must to during todays journey.Thank you GarthBane for the Virtual
We were driving g past on our way to Echuca and stopped to log this virtual. Couldn't find d much RV friendly parking so missed a few. This is for all the women in my family (mother ,daughters, sister, aunts, fruends) who inspire me to be a better person.
**07/05/2024, 06:38:00****Find #5813****Virtual Find #71**I was now on my way home but had to stop here as I leaving Bendigo because I can't pass up a Virtual Cache. It was still quite dark when I arrived but I managed to make out most of the sculpture. An interesting piece of artwork. I hope my photograph is acceptable.**Thank-you to GarthBane for placing this geocache**
We have set off on our annual winter escape but with no real plans other than a set of ideas. Our first stop is Bendigo, a place we haven't visited for any length of time in the past. There appears to be much to see and a good variety of caches to keep us entertained. We met up with our caching buddies Rebel Acts and Omegaman for a few days as well which added to the laughs and fun.Caches logged as RASPOM or SKI Pair if they had already found them. This is one of the caches we have found to date.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache GarthBane.**SKI Pair****
With a nearby HEM GCA cache we grabbed three finds in this area from the one stop.Had to angle the photo a bit so that we didn't get the muggles sitting behind it in our photo. There are many important people in our lives but Mrs Beetle's sister is probably the one that we depend on the most for sound advice. Thanks GarthBane.
First time I have been to Bendigo. Travelling from NZ. 2 weeks of my trip to go.
Visited this location today on the way to breakfast. The playground was here when i was a child living in Golden Square but the artwork is new. Thanks for bringing me here to see something new. Pic attached.
What a brilliant idea for a Virtual cache. The art work is interesting and thought provoking, as art works can be. Thinking about someone who holds a special place in my father. He was a great source of cultural influences in my life, especially while I was growing up. He was an artist and also a primary school librarian. During my childhood and into my teenage years he supplied a great range of books to feed my insatiable reading appetite, many different from those often given to Australian children if the time. They were mainly Australian authors like Patricia Wrightson, Nan Chauncey, Eleanor Spence, and Colin Thiele. This provided basis for my reading throughout life and what to read to children I taught in primary schools during my own teaching career. He also moved in artistic circles in the Duamond Valley, where we lived, giving us children a different and more down to earth view of life.
02/04/2024 2:25:00 PMVisited as I headed back home from the mega in Canberra and picking up my wife from a weekend in Tooborac, and she is indeed the most important person in my life.We stopped for lunch in Bendigo and I grabbed a couple of virtuals before hitting the road again. Thanks GarthBane contributing to the game I so enjoyFind recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK
I found this cache with scramping on our way to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra. Travelling with my best friend is such a joy. We are there for each other whether we need it or not. Thanks Sandi for all your support. Love always xxThanks GarthBane for placing this virtual to highlight an important woman in my life.
Found this beautiful piece of art with hevwalker, a friend that will always stand by her friends, always there when you need her and even when you don't realise you do. Thank for being my friend Heather. xx TFTC GarthBane
Road tripped to Adelaide for the Leap Day Mega and am now putting the skates on to get home to Queensland by Thursday, so only a few select caches along the way. (I had a very long list!)Arrived just after dark but think I got a good enough picture. My personal flag is in the hair of one and my GPS resting on a leg.TFTC
My muggle partner and I are on a road trip towards Adelaide for the Great Leap Forward Mega. We were staying the night in Bendigo and now are off to St Arnaud. This was a lovely Virtual cache and I really loved the sculpures and their happy persona
Found with MoSSau whilst cooling our heels due to issues out of our controlTftvc
Such a nice green area. Perfect for a picnic.I'm grateful for my family and friends Thanks for bringing me to this lovely spot on Bendigo
Two tries and the photo is still not up the right way. Never mind, a nice cool stop under the trees on a warm day. TFTC
Some epic sculptures around Bendigo, and this one is no exception. Found on a lovely morning ride. TFTC!
We were in Bendigo to celebrate the life of a family member who always looked out for others regardless if you were a family member or someone they met once.So I thought it fitting to visit this location today. Thanks for the virtual GarthBane #7,647
Thank you for setting up this Virtual Cache which invites us to think about and celebrate important people in our lives. I have many to celebrate and be thankful for and perhaps no one more special than my mother.
The person I would like to celebrate is the wonderful human standing right next to me at GZ. I met catnap777 through the Geocaching Messenger service and we have been inseparable ever since visiting our first cache together. [:X]One day, we hope to make a more "formal" arangement on an occasion where everone can celebrate our celebration celebrating each other.... if you know what I mean. TFTC Garthbane.
Visited monument with dalerious who is my "special" person in my life.We met on the 14th March, 2021, and on that day I had no idea that he and I would become soul mates for life.People come and go in our lives, but we always remember fondly the one's that have nutured us along our journey . It has taken me many years to realise that everyone that comes into our lives is a gift, and I have received the biggest gift of all meeting dalerious. To all the beautiful people I have known, that have left this mortal realm, or have moved on, and the one's still in my life in some way, shape or form, thank you.Thank you GarthBane for providing this thought provoking virtual.
11:51Making our way homeward after a fabulous week of caching around the North East. A few stops on the way always make the trip more interesting! Thanks GarthBane for creating this Virtual to celebrate and remember those special people in our lives. Pooring rain when we visited this site! Also popped by our good friend Dick Turner - a stallwart in his time and a great friend. Thanks to GarthBane for creating this Virtual cache.
Celebrating every one of my family and friends. I love spending time with my youngest son and my granddaughter. In person is best, but even via video call. Thanks for the heart-warming Virtual Rewards cache.
Exploring Bendigo using geocaching as a guide, we visited your virtual and the required pic has been added to the gallery. Thanks GarthBane for creating this Virtual to celebrate and remember that special someone.
I don't know why but I really like this sculpture. Photos taken as required. Thanks for bringing me here. A quick Virtual and cool sculpture. I would like to celebrate myself as there is nobody more important than me...!!! Lol
I really like these sculptures that are here. One woman that has helped shape my life is my mum Robyn who I wouldn't do caching or everyday life without. Thanks for the virtual.
Found by The Empire + HAs we hit the road, the Calder Highway stretched out before us, winding through picturesque countryside. The sun was just beginning to cast its warm glow over the landscape, and we could already sense that this journey would be special.Driving from Melbourne, through Bendigo to Mildura is a scenic journey that takes you through the heart of Victoria. Mildura, a picturesque regional city located on the banks of the Murray River, is famous for its sunny weather, vineyards, and vibrant culture. This road trip offers a blend of urban and rural landscapes, making it an excellent opportunity to explore the diverse beauty of the Australian countryside.A quick stop here to grab a couple of caches. Thanks for the cool virtual cache GarthBane.- MVirtual #205
Day 30. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my by way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip. Was this really to be the last day? I could continue on. I guess we wont really know until the end of the day where I will end up.A great set of sculptures here celebrating women. The special women in my life include my mum, sister and of course my amazing niece Harper, who lets face it, wins all the attention in our family, hands down. Thanks GarthBane for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The 12 Days of Cachemas series is now live. My 2 daughters and I enjoyed the long weekend away in Bendigo, before heading home late yesterday we quickly stopped to complete this cache.Sadly, yesterday was the anniversary of my dad passing. So completed this cache was special to me.Unfortunately I wasnt able to get out of my car to enjoy the site probably as my 1yo was fast asleep in the back seatTFTC
Quick stop for a photo after attending the earlier event and CITO. No issues at GZ and ther required photo was snapped. Thanks for this one GarthBane...and in the vain of the cache, thanks to my good wife for letting do the caching that I do. Fav point for the virtual...
Found tonight while in Bendigo. I first tried to take a photo with my name tag but it was too small and didn't show up, so then we managed to put our names on PapaGrouch's tablet and get the names big enough to be visible in the dark.
With a huge portion of the Victorian caching community enjoying their pilgrimage north to Longreach, chook(nchunk) and I decided to plan our own little mini-adventure, targetting adlabs, solved puzzles, faves, TDOCs and anything else that piques our interest along the way. Day Four: Maldon, Bendigo, Kyneton, Woodend, Macedon, Gisborne, Sunbury. A quick stop here on our route. A lovely representation of special people. My special people are my boys. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, GarthBane ~~
What a wonderful sculpture dedicated to the women of Bendigo. The special person in my life is Steve, the guy reluctantly shown in the photo.Thank you GarthBane for highlighting this location for us.
Our journey to North Queensland will take us through many different towns.
Here's one to find today. Thank you for placing the cache GarthBane.

The snuggle muggle had to fly to Sydney today for work, so I decided to take the day off and drop her off at the airport. Little did I know that her flight was at 06:30 which meant we were at the airport super early.
So after I dropped her off I decided I would take an impromptu caching road trip up to [Bendigo](https://www.visitvictoria.com/regions/goldfields/destinations/bendigo) and cache along the way.
I was mainly focussed on trying to pick up some Large caches, Virtuals, [Jasmer](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2018/10/the-jasmer-challenge/) fillers, and then any of the [12 Days of Cachemas caches](https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BMCDCJE?sort=name&sortOrder=asc&skip=0&take=20) or [2022 Victorian COTYA Nominee caches](https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BMC8QYR?sort=name&sortOrder=asc&skip=0&take=20) that I came near.
I always love virtual caches and with them being a bit rarer, I try to stop and find them every chance I get. So when I saw this virtual, I quickly added it to my list of caches to try and find today.
What a fun idea for a virtual. I enjoyed reading up about the sculpture at GZ and would like to dedicate this log and find to celebrate my mother. Someone who not only working 50+ hours most weeks to support us, but still never missed a sporting event or activity that I participated. She truely means the world to me!
A big thanks also goes to [GarthBane](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=317757dd-f840-4ee4-b777-bc92c83eec2a&wid=b98733f4-7615-4b3d-89ed-b244c9dfff87&ds=2) for the fun virtual and reminding me of how wonderful my mother is! TFTC.
*mmhmm... I probably should call her...*

An unusual situation for us instead of being in lovely warm Queensland we are hiding around cold old Victoria. Medical reasons and caravan repairs have us staying here and we will be looking forward to finding as many caches as possible while we are here. SL TFTC
Time to head out with Mrs JTreeTrack2 in the GeoCamry for the last day of school holidays. Travelling up to Bendigo, it is warmer there than Ballarat, only 2 degrees but still warmer than home, so worth the effort and the scenic drive. Great story behind the statues, great to celebrate women who too often are deemed irrelevant or not important. A big shout out to Mrs JTreeTrack2 - my bestie and LOML.
Thanks for this cache GarthBane

Stopped to add this virtual to my cache tally today.
My tribute is to my GC friends. Some have come and gone very fleetingly. Some I only catch up with every now and then or for a special cache. Everyone of them is different, but we all bond over the same passion.

Suscoe was out and about in the Bendigo area today.
It was a delightful day, cool but sunny and it turned out to be mild by the afternoon.
We saw a terrific range of caches and countryside today.
Thanks to GarthBane ffor this virtual. Our family is so important to us.

Today's goal is to achieve 6000 finds. After an early start to drop the caravan and the car for a service we headed off.
Well we did it and then headed off for some lunch nearby. Someone special to me is my husband Greg, the other half of gregandjudi. There are days he really doesn't want to go geocaching, but he will generally do it for me. Yes. I can and do go alone at times, but it is much more fun together.

I love the concept of this cache. Thank you. We need to stop and appreciate or celebrate and show our gratitude to people more often. For us, we are dedicating this one to friends and family and thinking of our parents who have all passed on.

Heading home through Bendigo we just had to stop off at the 2 newest Virtuals.

Thanks again GarthBane.

Rutherglen Mega Trip. [^] Day 11 - Myself and Anymules are still making our way back to S.A. via a convoluted route which just happened to have caches we wanted. [^] After staying overnight at Bendigo we were up early and doing more caches before heading over to St. Arnaud and surrounds. Into Horsham for dinner and onto Kaniva for our last overnight stop.
I was here. My inspiration and wife of over 35 years was still back home in S.A. working to fund my trip to the Rutherglen Mega.
**SA’s Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024.**
***Thanks GarthBane for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Stopped to get the virtual as we heading back to S.A.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

I found your D1.5/T1.5 Virtual Virtual called Celebrating Everyone on 13 April 2023. It was find #18312 for me. Thank you GarthBane for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.
In and around Bendigo this afternoon.
This cache was one that we looked at to find.
Tftc.
Also thank you for placing this cache
I would say my mother would have to be mentioned in this log given the sculpture.

Passed through Bendigo on my way back from the Mega event at Rutherglen over Easter to admire the artwork. Thanks for the Virtual cache GarthBane!
I visited this Virtual cache as I made my way back to Adelaide after attending the Mega Event at Rutherglen over Easter.
It was a miserable, rainy morning and the artwork was visited in drizzling rain, hence the less-than-happy look on my face. But I imagine that at least the farmers will be celebrating the rain!
Thanks GarthBane for the cache.

Samuel and I geocached around Bendigo today, chasing a variety of caches, mainly trigs, virtuals and cool caches, and whatever popped up as well…. A great day!
Samuel had to stand in front of some unfortunate graffiti on one of the ladies. My personal item is my face!

Samuel and I geocached around Bendigo today, chasing a variety of caches, mainly trigs, virtuals and cool caches, and whatever popped up as well…. A great day!

What a lovely idea for the virtual. A nice memorial recognising women’s role in the community.
There are many special and inspirational people in our lives but the most important were here at the cache tonight… each other.
Thank you GarthBane

Found with the special person in my life, my husband, following a visit to the Deborah Mine. It’s our 40th wedding anniversary next week so that’s pretty special. TFTC

Easter Saturday and a trip to Bendigo for an eye appointment for Mr Tyred n Cranky.
While we were in Bendigo we found some caches. done an Adventure Lab plus a stage of one and also done three virtuals.
We done some shopping and got what we wanted. We looked around the Easter festival in Rosalind Park and walked around the streets looking at what else was about. A very busy place Bendigo was today.
Heading out to Kangaroo Flat we had three more caches to find at Golden Square, This was one them and also our third virtual for the day.
