Found while accompanied by the CO on a bit of a maintenance run. The idea was she would chauffeur me around and I would find the caches, she would see if any maintenance was required. That lasted as long as it took for us to hop in her car and find it had a flat battery.Take two. Now I am driving with her directing me where to go. Had a fun few hours picking up caches around the area. Don't ask me where I actually drove, I was lost after the first few turns.
Caching day with Nufrat. A lot of interesting caches, mostly on quiet roads TFTC
in shep today for various reasons so of course had to find a cache, this was around the corner from where we had lunch, tftc

Right opposite where my tour brings me tomorrow, but a nice walk in the evening the day before! I have been Herr a couple of times, including waking through the gardens and never noticed the status so thank you for making me stop and take note!

One of my sons used to live in Shep with his family and it just so happens that today is his birthday. Shame he no longer lives here. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.
Not sure how long this has been here but we hadn't seen it before caching brought us here. Thanks for placing the cache for all to enjoy. (please refer to log of GT37 for photo)
I bypassed here on the way to the nearby showgrounds.Quite an impressive statue it was.A quick photo was taken before moving on my way.My grandfather was a lighthorseman!TFTC
**Found with GoodLook and the Dame** Found whilst visiting Shepparton for a birthday event. The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. The weather was glorious, the coffee shops pleasant and the company wonderful. Thank you Cybergran V for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Appreciate your efforts. - P**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Thanks for the Virtual **#84**Cache on! **#18874****Lest We Forget**
Out and about with omegaman, Happy feet and Happy Pants, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks Cybergran V for the cache.

Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.Had a quick look around Shepparton, its much bigger than I recall. Stopped at this virtual for a pic before heading to our next cache. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
Found by The Empire + HDriving from Melbourne to Echuca, with stops in Nagambie and Shepparton, offers a picturesque journey through some of Victoria's charming regional towns. This road trip, spanning about three hours, takes you through lush farmland, scenic vineyards, and historic towns, each with its unique appeal.Back on the road, we continued north to Shepparton, another hour away. The drive took us through lush farmland, with fields of crops and grazing livestock creating a picturesque rural landscape. Shepparton, known for its agriculture and dairy industries, welcomed us with its vibrant, bustling town center. Thanks for the virtual cache Cybergran V.-MVirtual #249
In Shepparton to see Jimmy Barnes last night with Matho64. After a lovely Brekky at Stellar we visited this virtual. It was a very informative memorial of Brigadier Sir Murray Bourchier. TFTV Cybergran V
Day 11 of my interstate trip. Today I left Greens Lake Reserve near Stanhope and made my way a bit closer to Sydney spending the night in Everton. I managed to find 16 caches today and only 1 DNF.A quick stop off on my past for a photo. A cool Monument.TFTC Cybergran V
After unsuccessfully looking for a couple of caches in Bendigo we headed home via Kamarooks and Shepparton. Was hoping to get a cache at lunch but we picked the one piece of town with nothing in place. So I walked back to this park took a photo and then we headed home. TFTC and the history lesson Cybergran V
#5571 Mr BGF had just finished a work meeting very nearby. Popped across the road to check out the statue and story behind Sir Murray. Fascinating stuff. The parks, gardens, artwork and other developments around the central Shepp certainly has lifted the character of the town since I lived here 30 years ago. Great to see the local history being highlighted in various ways. TFTVC Cybergran V.
Out and about with the Spiffy- clan. Interesting pose the Brigadier is in - frightening, made me run. Spiffy- on the other hand simply stood aside, out of the firing line. Thanks Cybergran V, this was fun!
A plan was hatched to go to my first Central Victorian geocaching event so we headed off with Snips and Co for a one day road trip from the south of Melbourne up to Tatura. After a lovely lunch event we started on our way back to Melbourne via a couple of virtuals and a couple of cache award nominees as well.I stood beside this one so I didn't get shot which was important because I wanted to survive my 13,000th cache find. A favourite from me.Thanks Cybergran V for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Traveled up through Shepparton to Tatura for the event tomorrow and collected a few caches on the way.I was glad this was a virtual as there were a lot of muggles around GZ.Interesting history on the signs. Thanks, Robmc.
Found during our trip to Bendigo from Cowra and after a lovely visit to the CO.
It was raining a bit this morning when we arrived here with ilook4geo. Took some photos and hurried back to the car. Thanks for bringing us here to learn about the Brigadier.
Hope this horse doesn't mind a wet track. Interesting history to be read and a good sculpture at GZ. Thanks for bringing us here with goingplaces2.
Found in the dark. Couldnt wait till tomorrow because we wanted to log 3 caches in 3 states. Thanks for bringing us here.
This was a nice virtual to visit, as anything military always gets my attention, and I also found the history very interesting to read. The statue is certainly a beautiful piece of art and stands out well in its location.Thank you, Cybergran V, for bringing me to this lovely, well maintained gardens for your virtual, a favourite point from me
Thanks for bringing us here and for the opportunity to learn a bit of history. Here's the picture to prove we were here.

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. In Shepparton for a few days but still tied up with medical appointments. Tackled a few caches after appointments but it was not a very successful day for us. [B)]TFTC Cybergran V [^]
On the way through with Jack and Purrfect Di. Stopped for a quick leg stretch and took some pics with the cavalry! Nice little park in the middle of town. Thank you Cybergran V for the virtual cache ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid lumps falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Leap Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... fun and funky finds
On a day trip to Shepparton, we collected this one. Thanks for adding this cache for us to find!

A quick trip to Shepparton with "work". Dropped someone at nearby medical facility and out for a quick find to finish the year.Attempts at selfies were atrocious so my name badge has adorned the Brigadiers trusty steed.TFT Virtual TB's visited
Another neat virtual in Shepp. This guy had a great life. Nice memorial from the town.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. 09:44, 13 November, 2023. #2296.On our way a lot further North to visit family and stopped in Shep for breakfast While we were fueling up for the next leg of the journey I had a quick look at my app and saw an opportunity for a quick 'park and shoot' cache so here we were.TFTVC Cybergran V.
Find 4,500The weather forecast was perfect for caching... and testing my new driving sunglasses... so I decided it was time to go after a collection of challenges near Bendigo that I had my eye on for over a decade. After that I decided to head off to Shepparton for a couple of challenges that have been recently placed there... and I hadn't realised were here until I got back home after my visit here last week... Doh!!!It was now almost 6 o'clock and so with my objectives for the day completed... and 2 hours drive ahead of me... it was time to head for home... but not without first stopping off for this Virtual. Thanks **Cybergran V** for creating this one.
We were in Shep for the Now and Forever concert (which was one of the best gigs we've ever been to) so I made Zeus detour to this statue on our way back to Melbs the next morning. A whirlwind visit but so worth it
Another great story about a great Australian Thanks so much for bringing me here to this great location
Day 1 of Chook and OzHockeyChick's "QOGM-consolation" roadtrip, targeting caches in three states over four days of fun, friendship, laughter and adventure. We really enjoyed visiting this Virtual Cache and learning all about Brigadier Sir Murray Bouchier and all his achievements. Thank you for bringing us here Cybergran_V(PS apologies for duplicate log, I had tried to change the photo and accidentally deleted the original log instead oops).
With a huge portion of the Victorian caching community enjoying their pilgrimage north to Longreach, chook(nchunk) and I decided to plan our own little mini-adventure, targetting adlabs, solved puzzles, faves, TDOCs and anything else that piques our interest along the way. Day One: Seymour, Nagambie, Shepparton, Echuca, Deniliquin. We wandered over to find Brigadier Sir Murray Bouchier, and take aquick pic or two. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Cybergran V ~~
We are heading up to the Shepparton Marathon and taking the long way via Echuca. The plan is to get 20 geocaches in the Campaspe and Moira LGAs and at least 1 cache in whatever NSW LGA Moama is in. Then get at least 4 caches in the Shepparton LGA. Not sure it will happen with our tight schedule, but will see how it goes.
Only got 16 geocaches in Moira LGA yesterday, so todays plan has changed. After doing photography duties at the start of the Marathon, it's time to head North and collect a few geocaches, hopefully in time for the end of the race.
Weird, I know I've stopped here before for a cache but I can't see it on my map. Oh well, at least this time I got to visit this nice statue.
Thanks for the cache Cyber Gran V

Lovely drive around town this morning. This was a cool statue. Pictured are Gman and geokids SNG and CC.
This is another cool sculpture, and an enjoyable addition to my cache tour today. Thanks for introducing me to the Brigadier.
The Trip.
A muggle friend was visiting Shepparton today to see a man about a dog, literally! They asked if i would like to come along for morale support and to share the drive, i jumped at the chance so long as i could find a few caches along the way. With that sorted i set about creating a short list of caches from the many available. I came up with thirteen which helped me achieve various goals and was about as many as i could reasonably expect my friend to tolerate before getting bored.

We came to Shepparton today with family to do some shopping, and so we had but a little bit of time to find a couple of caches. Decided that the virtuals here were a must, and so while the others were finishing up, I made the walk a couple of blocks away to to GZ. Such a very cool statue here, and loved reading the history.

We were heading back home after a weekend away in Barmah. We decided we would pick up a couple of caches in Shepparton on the way through. Things had started really well, then we saw the dreaded red and blue flashing lights.
So we stopped and the kind officer gave us a ticket. $370 and 3 demerit points later we were on our way.
We had found two of the COs other caches while in Shepparton and had a great chat with her while at her TB hotel.
It was interesting learning about the Brigadier

My son who is my partner in caching and only does the bare necessities but usually if he thinks I will not be safe without him but just now he is working in Shepparton and it was to windy to do the job he went to find a geocache. He does not read so only does easy ones when alone. He does like this sort of learning caches. He took photos of every sign around as he like me to explain it when he gets home. A great Virtual. Mark at the statue. TFTC
A long time between visits to Shep but we are back to attend 2 events today and enjoy the local caches.
Touring the city with a few labcache stages we managed a park close to this impressive statue to read the Bourchier’s story and take some photos.

Found whilst in Victoria attending the Mega Event at Rutherglen. I am collecting Virtuals to achieve a challenge cache that I have found and signed.
The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]
Today started off wet when we left Wangaratta heading in a round about way to Bendigo finding caches in a different LGA and others that we had targeted, but thankfully the rain stopped around lunch time which was good.
We spent a bit of time caching around Shepparton as we wanted to find at least 20 caches in this LGA.
Thanks for the cache Cybergran V.

I found your D1.0/T1.0 Virtual Virtual called Brigadier Sir Murray Bouchier Virtual on 12 April 2023. It was find #18256 for me. Thank you Cybergran V for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.
Rutherglen Mega Trip. [^] Day 10 - Let the journey back home begin. [^] It was a horrible drizzly rain sort of day but that didn't stop up find a few caches anyway. We had solved quite a few puzzles before coming over so we just had to go and find a few.
Our crew for the week for the mega was:
Bushfire
Anymules
Brisal5
6Hinemoa2
BAB6 for short and to save space in logs. We stayed together for a few caches until we split and then it was just myself and Anymules. We took a targeted way down to Bendigo finding these along the way.
A quick stop for us as we passed through today.

Stopped as we slowly heading back to S.A.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

Rutherglen MEGA Long Easter weekend trip. Day 7 Home time.
This year with new tools and transport on board. Bike, ladder, poles and a variety of other items to help with the cache grabs.
Puzzles were all sorted before the weekend. Making way for the finds to come.
Plans sorted for cache attack days, between ladder climbing, power trail grabs and the large amount of ad labs in the area. Not to mention the MEGA site visits and numerous other events to attend.
My stat's of finds started at 11,886 ?? before leaving home. Let's see what the final numbers are at trips end for the MEGA.

I visited this Virtual cache as I made my way back to Adelaide after attending the Mega Event at Rutherglen over Easter.
Thanks Cybergran V for the cache. A favourite point for a straightforward virtual cache with a simple logging requirement.

Day 1 of the Rutherglen MEGA trip.
It was an early start to the day so that a few caches could be found along the way, this being one of them and then onto the ones around Rutherglen to join in on the fun with everyone else that is searching out here.
I made a bit of a detour to get this one and a couple of others not too far away.
**Thanks to Cybergran V for placing this cache.**

I am making the long journey from Adelaide to the Rutherglen Mega over Easter. I missed the Wangaratta Mega event a couple of years ago so I am giving myself an extra few days to explore the wider area.
I made a quick stop here to admire the statue.
Thanks for the cache Cybergran V.

Quick pitstop on my way back to town to grab this virtual. I couldn't decide which angle I wanted to take this photo.
