After doing some adventure lab locations nearby we detoured to grab the photo required to log this virtual cache. Cute little possums, TFTV
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.Hello possum! A quick find while in town grabbing some supplies. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
Righto... a photo with the possums in the rain.. Well that guarantees no one will be hanging about at GZ. There wasn't even anyone in the whole park. I guess that says something about geocachers. Stupid.... wait, no....staunch, that's the word I'm after... TFTV JLWEvent.
Found at 12:42 PM in the company of The Morris.A slow day today doing some A/L's and then the laundry catch up!So while the machines were working removing dirt from our clothes, we went on a mini tour of the town and found ourselves right in front of these little guys. Took a photo and then moved on.Thanks to JLWEvent
Such very cute possums. So easy to interact with. This one tried to scamper off with my bag ....but it was way too heavy given all my geotott, et Al.
Clare and Gilbert Valley caravan trip. Day 3 - Farrell Flat to Brinkworth, via Clare.TFTC
Great location for a virtual!Just had dinner at the Clare Hotel and thought we would stop here on the way home.Sign made by our 8 year old geo-son.TFTV!
So interesting the varied approach to [possums in our countries. In NZ not so much a popular creature, here, they're cute and people like them. The statues here were nice to see and the task completed, pic to follow on the log. ThanksAs often seems to be the case for me lately, today was a game of two halves, so to speak. First up I was keen to get the Bundaleer oldie cache placed in May 2001 which is a missing grid hole in my calendar and which is not available in NZ. I was also keen to get down to Victor Harbour and make a find on that Webcam cache, and hopefully also pay a visit to the interesting Granite Island. Both aims were achieved, not massive numbers due to travel times between, but definitely sighted some awesome country again and plenty more seen and enjoyed. Thanks to the SA COs for their hides and ongoing maintenance.
Such little cuties .Day 13 of our Great Leap Forward leap year Mega trip of 2024. Caching today with GLISS! Always wonderful to be travelling across the country enjoying the amazing scenery and caching along the way. Main focus for this trip has been to tidy up the last couple of counties needed in Victoria and make a serious dent in the South Australian ones. Plus a few days in Adelaide enjoying the mega fun. A hot dry trip this time around. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches so we can enjoy the game.
Day 13 of my Leap Year Mega trip. Today, the plan is to find lots of counties. Found with Nibletricecakes. TFTC.
*Another nice find with woolwood9 today.* ????Thanks for putting this Virtual cache out for us to visit. ????????
Over to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega Event with tmann421.Have done a few km collecting caches and have enjoyed the tour aroundThanks to all the cache owners for their efforts in placing and maintaining these for us to find
Love Possums! Just attended an event in Ballarat that was Hello Possum!Heading up to the Flinders Ranges after the Mega in Adelaide.Peppa is my personal trackable and has been traveling with me since 2016.She loves Australian possums too!
It was well before sunrise when [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I visited these possums with the event nearby. Subsequently, my creativity and ideas for interaction were lacking, but I did manage to get a few obligatory selfie photos. A great use of a virtual geocache right in the heart of Clare! Thanks JLWEvent for the virtual cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------A trip visiting Adelaide from Brisbane for the [The Great Leap Forward](http://coord.info/GCA1DNA) Mega event!I arrived Wednesday 28/02/2024 evening ready for Leap Day on Thursday, and stayed with family across the weekend, before returning on Monday 4/03/2024 morning. Previous Adelaide trips are spent with family and friends, but targeted geocaching was this trip's objective, and I attempted to target unique cache types (virtuals, EarthCaches, Wherigos and letterbox hybrids), attractive D-T combinations, high Favourite Point caches, and the occasional pre-2003 oldie, acknowledging that I had found many cherished oldies whilst residing in Adelaide. In addition to Mega central in Beverley/Hindmarsh, my trip included visits as north as Clare, to Aldinga and Sellicks Beach to the south, and the Adelaide Hills (Hahndorf, Uraidla) to the west. In true South Australian style, I ticked off the three closest wine areas to Adelaide (Barossa, Clare Valley, and McLaren Vale). Additional highlights included Barossa vineyard meanderings, boating to Adventure Island in Outer Harbor, drain exploration via [The Shadowlands](https://coord.info/GC18AZY), beach walks of Port Willunga and Sellicks Beach, enjoying a beer at Willunga, and experiencing the Fringe Festival in Adelaide's east end.Today on 29/02/2024 Leap Day, it was an extremely early start joining [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY) to drive north to attend Clare's morning event. As the sun rose, we meandered back to Adelaide via Auburn, Saddleworth, Peters Hill, Tarlee, and Gawler, and I then proceeded solo visiting targeted geocaches in Adelaide's north around Mawson Lakes. A couple of targeted geocaches in North Adelaide's park lands with [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY), and I then headed east to Stepney and Toorak Gardens, before visiting Mega HQ. The day's remainder was spent catching up with old geocaching friends, geocaching, gadget caching, and closing-out the day with [The Side Event](http://coord.info/GCAH07T) dinner.Adventure Labs visited included: [Adelaide Icon Tour with Neobatrachus Pictus](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/e4e6daf2-4904-4f32-9a49-3308a1d7a075); [Hidden History of Charles Sturt Council](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/f1f49ce0-0345-4bb0-9cf6-f1ff813d80d9); [Sporting Adelaide](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/746734fb-eab7-4058-8072-922a43bdc332); [The Great Leap Forward Gadget Caches](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/a2d616d0-5583-4663-a70c-605c6a88c956); and [Visiting South Australia's Special Places](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/44b6d461-0b3b-43b5-adf1-1c29f61766b7).
Headed out with Skuzzy Bear for an event in Ennis Park, a very early Good Morning introduction to today's Mega.Had to take a photo of these cute fellas.
Today was a long day with lots to do and all of it plus more achieved. First we were up at 4.30am to grab a cache before heading to Clare for an early event and a few caches before returning towards Adelaide, picking up a Wherigo, Earth and challenge cache on the way. We then collected a few lab caches, signed in at the Mega, found a few more caches, a web camera cache, back to the event, more caches then tea before finally heading back to our accommodation. All in all a very successful day. Thanks to the event hosts, cache CO and everyone who gave a couple of Kiwi's a helping hand today for our first Mega. Once we had finished with the early event, we made the short walk to the possums and completed this cache. In NZ possums are classed as a pest and endanger the native species so it's interesting how much they are liked in Australia.tftv#7897
We are ion South Australia for the leap Year Mega. After an early start from our overnight accommodation, we set off to find the caches on our target list. All caches were found and signed as "5 for QLD" for our traveling group of hatzofff (myself), RoddyC, Imbunda, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947.Today we target some geo art and other caches. Loving the area, but it is very hot and quite windy today.
An early morning start after our overnight stay. I am traveling with my friends, hatzofff, RoddyC, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947. We are signing all logs as "5 for QLD" to save space. All caches were found, signed and replaced as foundAfter some early caches and an event we headed off to some special geoart and an overnight stay before heading back to Adelaide for the start of the Mega. Today has been one of the hottest and windiest we have had so far. [:(!] Here's hoping Adelaide will be a bit cooler tomorrow.
TFTC smile 18746 Out and about on a lovely day Having a great time finding a few caches heading to Adelaide for a few weeks then on our way to Canberra . Signing as 5 for QLD - Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda. What a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun. Lots of caches to get today, and it was hot and windy at the geo art Thank you JLWEvent for placing this cache for our enjoyment [:X]
A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group has our second day in South AustraliaWe are using the Acronym 6 for QLD to sign the log sheets. Most of the caches this day were nice quick finds. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 27th February 2024. TFTC, JLWEvent.

Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case JLWEvent, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
On my roundtrip along Australia with Oopie we are douing always some caches.Today we ware on the way from Adelaide to Alice Springs and we did a few nice caches.CO thanks for bringing us on this nice place and make this cache.

Found on a trip to Clare with pineapplegoldy!Goldy has uploaded the photos in his log. Cool spot!TFTC!
Found by The Empire + HAs we approached the Clare Valley, the landscape transformed into a patchwork of vineyards that stretched to the horizon. This region is renowned for its exceptional wines, particularly its world-class Rieslings. We hadn't planned on visiting a market that morning, but sometimes the best experiences are the ones you stumble upon. The Clare Market was bustling with activity, a vibrant tapestry of colors, sounds, and flavors. Stalls were lined with local produce, handmade crafts, and the promise of culinary delights. Our senses were immediately awakened by the rich scent of coffee beans being ground to perfection. Following our noses, we found ourselves at a charming coffee stall where a barista expertly crafted our morning pick-me-up. The first sip was a revelation, and we knew we were in for a treat. Thanks for the cool virtual JLWEvent.- MVirtual #211@empiregeocaching
MotherGoldy and pineapplegoldy are driving to Saddleworth and the surrounding areas today for a day trip together. It isn't going to be a massive day for finding caches but I need one for my streak, as well as an EarthCache for EarthCache weekend.A shout out to all EarthCache owners who contribute to teaching geology in our game! I'm also targeting virtuals as I love them. I got 3 for the day which is very exciting.A good day was had. We read a lot of local history and spent lots of time looking in stores. We laughed about a lot of things and enjoyed the adventure labs (MotherGoldy's favourite). We ended up with a total of 11 caches and 10 adventure lab locations. I am now at 337 days straight. Only 29 days left!We were sussing out spots to visit while in Clare and noticed a market here... with a virtual nearby too!We took the required photo and talked about how cute one of the possums looked... then went shopping.A cool virtual. Thanks JLWEvent for this virtual cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3646 on the 7th of October 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**
In Clare for the long weekend with a bunch of friends for some gravel riding. Superb weather for great riding with beaut friends.Out for a few caches while Im hereTFTC
Well , we made it to Clare. Having a walk around and we spot some possums. Day 16: Today we leave Renmark and head back to wine country, to Clare for a couple of nights. Well its holiday time again and this year we have planned a road trip East across the Nullarbor to South Australia. We will be staying in Streaky Bay, Whyalla, Hahndorf, Renmark and Clare before heading for home and making the trip west. We are looking forward to eating and drinking, exploring and visiting a swag of wonderful places. Of course it wouldnt be a holiday at all for a Geocacher without plans including a plethora of stops, deviations and distractions for all types of Geocaches. Our thanks go to all the hiders who make this game what it is. Hi JLWEvent, SmplyR3dd has found your cache Hello Possums! on 20 Sep 2023 at 15:26.Logs on micro caches may be signed as SR.SmplyR3dd thanks you for placing this cache for me to find. This find brings my find count to 6359.
Travelling back from Whitecliff reserve where we had camped for a couple of nights and zig zagged home via yakka Blyth and Brinkworth and grabbed lunch at Clare. I wanted to head to Burra for a FTF but it wasn’t a welcomed diversion so I had to settle for some caches in Clare. Managed to walk the wetlands but missed a few trads. Looking forward to returning to find the many other caches I had to drive by.
Gotta love a smiley face on the map! Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTVC
SA’s Leap Year Event - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. GCA1DNA. Can’t wait!!

Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. After spending some time in Peterbough and Minlaton we moved to Moonta to grab finds in Moonta and surrounds. Out on wet and misty day run to Clare and caching en route.
Found while in Clare for weekend from the Adelaide Hills for Rural Women's Gathering. Trying to complete Challenge. Thanks for bringing me to the Possums
As a child, many years ago Mrs y'stassie and her siblings had Norman Lindsay's The Magic Pudding as one of their very favourite stories. At one point in the story the pudding is stolen by the "pudden thieves", 2 possums who were recently involved with a fire. The pudding owners asked everyone they met "Have you seen a singed possum?".
When our parents took us to see the puppet version of this story there was smoke and a distinct smell of singed fur during this scene. "Have you seen a singed possum?" became a family question when ever a possum crossed our paths. One of our nieces caches as Singed Possum.
Today we headed into town to visit the possums. Our photo shows Mrs y'stassie checking one of the possums to make sure there are no signs of singed fur.
The photo is included with our log.

So cute in this form. I'm not so keen on them on my roof during mating season lol TFTC
A simple logging task at a cool - and typically Australian - location? I don't mind if I do. Thanks for a fun quickie!

Mrs Woodyrothwell turned to me and asked what I wanted to do this weekend. I thought it would be a cracking idea to fly down from Brisbane just to grab this virtual.
OK so that’s a bit of a furphy because I thought we should fly down for the wine and then grab this hide. I just can’t seem to stop fibbing today because let’s say we flew down for the wine, then the food and thirdly this cache. How am I going to look at myself in the mirror or swear on my mothers life (while the old duck is still alive no matter how much I pray for a quick ending) if I don’t come out with the full truth. In order of priority we came down from Brisbane for:
1) To get away from our kids
2) The wine
3) To get away from our kids
4) The food and more wine
5) To get away from our kids (that’s code for sex people)
6) This cache
I feel a whole lot better for telling the truth but I’m already invested in my next lie. The TV in our hotel room is a smart one and the last people forgot to log out of Netflix. I’m already watching suspicious docos that will appear in their viewing history and it’s clear they like the UFC. A few vegan docos might rock their world.
So we only found one cache today because of the rain and this was why we flew down from Brisbane (sorry, once you start lying it’s hard to stop). There were a couple of keen punters in the pub across the road laughing at us for getting wet for a photo but we needed to start our week in Clare off on the right foot. We went straight to BWS to buy a bottle of wine so we could enjoy getting away from our kids. tftc

Gee's it was cold at Clare today. This evening with the wet weather setting in was even colder. As the motel I was staying in had no meals, came into town for a feed. After the feed picked up the ad labs and decided on a walk to check out the possums.
Poor little buggers, out in the open and all wet. So I attempted to dry them off without getting bitten / scratched. In the end gave up with the tissues as the rain kept coming down and my wet hands had a slightly blueish tinge. Had a very hot shower on my return to the room. Thanks JLWEvent for the opportunity to meet a local.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 30. Mid North section of SA trip Day 1. It was time to leave Blackwood for the time being and head north of the City. I am planning on four days at Clare. I stoped once in the city before getting past Gawler and then doing a sequential LAB and a cache at some of the locations. It really cooled down as I pulled unto the valley and a tittle rain as well.
Whilst I was in Clare sorting out some Lab caches, I was able to stop by and grab the required image of this cute little fellow.
Thanks for the cache JLWEvent

Passing through on the way to Peterborough and stopped at Woolies for supplies. We had to visit the possums.
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.
JLWEvent, I found Hello Possums! today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Spending a few days exploring and caching around the Clare Valley. Visiting some towns that I haven’t been before so lots of unfound geocaches up for grabs.
Day two was Spring Conservation Park, Clare and Auburn.
After grabbing some lunch in Clare, it was time to grab a few geocaches.
Thanks for the cache JLWEvent.

The Green Geckos & I have made it to Clare and are cold. We’d come from BrisVegas Wittgenstein knowledge we we’re heading into a heat wave. When we crossed the border there was a cold snap & so have been waiting for the OP shops to open so we could buy a jumper. There are some great one opposite the possums.
Made a surprise visit to Balaklava to visit KBKL over the christmas period. Today we had to grab a few items from Clare before all the shops shut and once completed, I told KBKL I needed a multi today so after collecting one nearby, I noticed this Virtual and said I just HAD to get it done Once at the required coordinates, the happy snap was taken and it was off to get some Subway for lunch.
Thanks for Virtual JLWEvent, gotta love a good virtual

Time for a quick cache during shopping along the main Street. Mrs 2SGSG suffering from a windy blast as a cold front hit Clare. Great little statues. Tftc
In Clare for a family lunch. Spent some time down the Main Street prior, and noticed this cache, right where we were taking a seated rest. Why not grab a quick cache. A quick pose by the Daughter Duck and a look over the interesting statues and a smiley was returned. Ran away like possums as a little storm hit and just about blew us off the our feet. TFTC
Grabbing a few caches around Clare before the forecast rain sets in.

Back in Ardrossan for harvest work. Still very little work with all the wet weather that has been around so we decided to head to Clare for a caching run. Sunday all went to plan until about 3pm when the sky got black then the wind picked up and the hail and rain tried to blow us off a hill. Not to mention during the day a pigeon crapped where we'd rather forget [xx(] and Mr Felix got a very large splinter in his arm which took a bit of retrieval.
Monday we woke to the fact that it had continued to rain all night and was now freezing having gone from 22degrees yesterday to 10 this morning. [8] So we decided to tackle a few previously solved puzzles before heading directly back to Ardrossan.
We managed to find your cache on our sojourn. Will add a picture of Mr F in the rain.
