I ended up getting called in last night to work night shift, which meant I had the entire day, once I woke up, to go caching. Well fortunately or unfortunately, however you want too look at it, my biological clock was still in routine and so I ended up waking up at my usual time. This of course meant I had plenty of time to be able to get a bit further out of my normal routine caching radius. Well I have been wanting to get out caching around Mount Donna Buang for a while now, as I only need to find a cache hidden between 1251 - 1500 M of elevation, *which just so coincidently is the rough elevation of Mount Donna Buang*, in order to finally qualify for ['s](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=fdc60ecd-0f01-4bbe-8c8d-bc4200f1f8d5&wid=ca6ab4e6-d855-4c48-a529-13685455432f&ds=2) challenge cache, [Sea to Summit Challenge (GC6T2YZ)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6T2YZ).So once I finally was able to get the sleep out of my eyes, I hopped in the gemobile and made my way to the summit. Since, I did get up so early and it was only a Monday, the summit was completely empty and allowed me to explore and enjoy the space all by myself. Unfortunately, I didn't think about downloading any caches to my offline maps and once I arrived at the summit, I had no mobile service. However, I figured if there was any chance of getting any phone service it would be at the top of the tower. So I attempted to make the climb to the top, and although I did eventually make it to the top, it was a slow struggle. I have only recently recovered from a pretty nasty stomach bug that had me bed ridden for a few days, but I took it slow and eventually made it to the top.Luckily my gamble paid off, and I actually got 5G service from the top of the tower. So after taking in some of the most beautiful and breathtaking views, I quickly downloaded a few caches in the area to my offline maps. Then my luck continued as I saw that I had to climb to the top of the tower for this Virtual anyways!I always love a good Virtual as usually they take me to beautiful or interesting locations, including this one as the views were simply stunning. So i grabbed a few photos before heading back down to gather the needed information in the nearby gazebo.A big thanks goes to [ilukaperi](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=878eecfe-b3a9-4fba-896f-9311185c7b09&wid=fd57b796-0b9d-43e5-b678-b13a9a203de5&ds=2) for highlighting such a beautiful location for me to explore today. Winter hit last night with snow about. So we ventured out to mingle with other snow bunies. It was snowing at the top, but I ventured up the tower with my nerves challenging me despite having done this several times. In fact I planned to hide my virtual here, but you beat me and I was glad this location was recognised as a virtual worthy location.Fav from me.Thanks to ilukaperi for the fun and the adventure.

One of my favourite places on earth. Especially the old growth forests nearby. Bit of mist in the valleys and some people dropping tennis balls being skilfully caught below. Thanks. Favourite awarded.

Big day out up on Mt Donna Buang scooping up the more remote caches. This was the second of the day, and of course you have to go up the tower. Interestingly has a different stair case for up and down which blew my mind a little on the way up!! Awesome view and not to be missed. Thanks for bringing me to such a great spot!! TFTC.

Find # 13055Found with sharkiefan.A day out East, targeting virtuals and hilltops. A great little, and enjoyable, drive up to the top. Almost a packed house up here with a number of BBQs going. Information area was an interesting read.An old poppet head from Bendigo.... wow.The steps made their impression on me but the view was worth the workout. 2 Photos and a fave added.TFTVirtualC ilukaperi

Found with FUF009. It was a big day of driving all over the show. This was one of the caches we found today. The road from Healesville was closed, so we came the long way.The place was heaving with people picnicking and hosting a party of some sort. The tower was not too full but definitely made me grasp the hand rails firmly. A slight wobble.Im not a fan of heights, so I just plugged away at the levels until I got to the top.Fortunately, everyone bar an older couple, had left the top deck. FUF009 came up after I was done and had the unfortunate experience of 3 adult male yobbos, some of whom were spitting from the top onto the hand rails. It is truly disgusting and disrespectful. Words were said, but unlikely to be heeded.Anyway, this was my idea to beat the heat a bit. It was actually quite lovely up here. I'd never been up here before. We got the numbers for the multi, but neither of us had the enthusiasm or energy left for a walk of that type. Thanks for bringing us here.

Sorry for the late update on the log.
I thought I would escape the city and spend a few days in the Warburton region, obviosuly finding the local caches.
Took a trip up to the top of Mount Donna Buang and to the Upper Yarra Valley Reservior.
Such a beautiful area to explore.

It was very cold over these few days but it stayed dry for the most of it.
I had a great adventure finding these caches/

Thanks for the cache and the hide

With closed roads & no phone signal for the sat nav it was about to get dark when I got here so it was a bit of a run around in the gathering gloom. The joy of dusk. Also the tower was swaying which I didn't *completely* enjoy. I gathered my info (coming by Messenger) & got my photos before heading off to find a hotel. Thanks for a memorable one!

Drizzly foggy day, not really good for photos. Lots of leeches as well, but on a better note, saw 14 Lyrebirds on the way up, more than I have seen in all my life!!

We have been here before when we were muggles.

Such a beautiful spot. We were hoping to be lucky enough to see some snow, but alas there is no snow today. Regardless, it’s worth the trip.

Day out caching with muggle sister while geodaughter is at diabetes camp for the weekend. Finding geocaches around warburton and Healesville.

Very wet drive to Mt donna buang today and muggle sister braved climbing the tower as I'm sacred of heights. While she climbed I read the information boards. Thanks for placing the cache.

A long time ago, when I was young, I was there a few times but did not go there for a long time.
Beautiful view.

Thanks for the cache Ilukaperi, I realised a new (well not so new) cache appeared in my local area. We had just picked up a takeaway Coffee and some Garlic Balls from CJ's Pizza so we took the opportunity to drive up the Mountain then on up the stairs. Saw two Lyre Birds on the way which was an added reward. As the sun was coming Down on a warm day the view was pretty good, I think I even saw Western port Bay in the distance.

Well that was an unexpected bonus.

Our trip here had been planned all week. We are scoping an alternate route to a near by mountaintop for another cache.

Track looks very long but doable.

Having lost a bit of weight in the last 4 months the trip up the stairs today was actually enjoyable instead of nearing a heart attack.

Took many photos.
