A day out exploring East Maitland with Mr Harrowangs muggle sister. She has lived in this area for 25 years and even she learnt stuff as we worked our way through the AdLab. We collected the numbers at each point and applied them to the formula. The checker gave us the green tick, so off we headed to GZ. SL at 12.48pm Left: harrows pathtag #11,393 TFTADVENTURE and the Bonus Banj5150. Now for some lunch to re-fuel us for the afternoon adventures.
After finishing the AL yesterday, I thought this might be a quickish one today. Hmmmm not to be. A previous log suggested that it may be under leaf litter and as its been a few months since the last find I decided to do a little stick excavating under some likely spots but no joy today for me. Ill keep an eye on this one and may check back again later.
Our focus today was on a number of Ad Labs and associated bonuses in East Maitland and Morpeth as well as some high D and T caches where we could work our TOTTs. Of course there is always a few other caches to distract us along the way.An overcast, but reasonable day where the rain stayed away.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Banj5150.**SKI Pair****
We completed the labcache visiting some interesting locations in East Maitland. Our favourite was the old Gaol which we have visited twice on previous visits to Maitland. Once we had all the numbers we needed for GZ a quick find was made to complete this adventure. Thanks Banj5150 for the bonus placement.
We definitely explored!!Found on the Mega Capital Geobash coastal loop via Adelaide - Barrington - coast to Mexico City loop. A lot of caches and white line fever was sweated out. Thanks Banj5150 and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Hard place to park when youre long and tall!Day 12 were now slowly heading Sydney before making our way to the Easter 2024 Canberra Geobash. Thanks Banj5150 for placing this here, contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.
Spent some time exploring East Maitland with goingplaces2 and getting the numbers to find this bonus cache. Log was signed with both names and all was replaced as found. Thanks go to Banj5150 for this cache.
Did a tour of town with ilook4geo to complete the AL and then went on to find this bonus cache as well. All is good with this one and the log was duly signed. Thanks for this cache placement go to Banj5150.
Find # 9997Nice quick find.Cache is in great condition. TFTC Banj5150 22 December 2023 15:04
After a fantastic trip to Cape York I'm wandering down solo zigzagging around picking up LGA's and concentrating on adventure labs, virtuals and earth caches as you don't have any muggle problems with those. I really enjoyed this adventure lab and the places it took me it's quite an interesting little town here that we haven't explored before so this was a great opportunity. At the end of the adventure lab we're rewarded with a set of coordinates for this bonus and once here we circled for a little while and then spotted a nice hide and happily we can say our name has been added to the log and everything replaced as it was. Many things Banj5150 for the great adventure and the nice hide at gz

On road trip to Victoria to attend the Rutherglen mega and taking our time to get there with both coastal and regional places to visit and cache in. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find.
Completed the AL and found the associated Bonus cache. TFTC. Giving a FP for the AL
We did the AL a while back but just got around to finding the bonus cache today. Thks for the cache.
Out for the day caching with a friend. Thanks Banj5150 for placing the cache. This would be cache find number 133 for me.TFTC.
It's now almost a year since I started on the Adventure Lab but only got through 3 stages when I had to adjourn for the Geocaching NSW dinner event. I returned in August to do the remaining stages but, nursing a sprained ankle and finding myself 1.5km from the bonus cache, I decided to leave that for another day. Finally I was back in the area for a New Year event and was able to complete the task.
It took me a while before spotting the cache as it was well covered in leaf litter and my initial attempt at sweeping it aside with my foot didn't go deep enough. Eventually I took another look, though, and spotted the good-sized container. There was a bit of water in the bottom which I poured out and wiped the inside with a rag, but the log was mostly dry and easily signed.
Many thanks for the enjoyable AL and bonus.

Easy find as cache was sitting out in the open. Concealed it a little better. TFTC Banj5150 and the Adventure around East Maitland, I enjoyed it.
Back in March when I was attending the Geocaching NSW dinner event, I arrived a bit early so made a start on this AL. I completed three stages before it was time to head to the venue so I made a mental note to come back another day to finish it off.
A few weeks ago some kind muggle ran up the back of me while I was stopped waiting to enter a roundabout and, while the damage to my car was quite minor, it's going to take three days to fix. After dropping the car off first thing this morning, I headed up to East Maitland on the train for a bit of a walk to the remaining locations. I guess I did them in the wrong order, because once I had the coordinates for the bonus it turned out to be about 1.5km back in the direction I'd just come from. As I'm still recovering from a sprained ankle I acquired while caching the weekend before last, I decided to call it quits at that point and head back to the train station. Probably a bad move, as I struck a signal failure at Hexham that delayed us for about 30 minutes, then my train back to Woy Woy was fifteen minutes late leaving Newcastle Interchange, got stuck behind a broken down freight train near Fassifern and was delayed even further by another signal failure at Narara.
Hopefully my next visit to East Maitland will be a bit smoother and I'll get to finally complete this one. For now, many thanks for the enjoyable AL.

After being stuck at home in iso for the past week, I decided a drive was the go today, particularly when I saw that the rain of the the past few days was gone ... and where better to head than the Hunter Valley and the 3 ALs there thst I haven't yet tackled. As it turned out, only 2 were possible (Water Works is completely closed, possibly for an extended period) but that was OK, I made up for it with a few normal caches along the way.
This Al was enjoyable one that took me to some interesting places I've not seen on previous visits to the area ... and a nice way to spend my first day out in a week ... thanks Banj.
I dropped off a TB I've had for far too long (found it cleaning out the inside of the car this week) as well as a bit of golfing SWAG I came up walking from the car to the cache.

AL was a nice drive, seeing some of the historical aspects of East Maitland. I wrote the letters down in the wrong order, so that made the coords out, ended up at a physios, with the gz in someones back yard. Whoops. Quick look, Ahah!. Change the coords, and then it was off again.A quick find once at real gz. TFTC and AL.
Enjoyed exploring the area and the Adventure Lab. Nice easy park and grab. TFTC
After a nice drive around East Maitland we had enough to find this cache, so we headed off to GZ which was quite private with no onlookers in sight. We had a quick find and log, thanks Banj for a great Al and bonus hide, we had a top afternoon.
Completed this adventure a little while back, but didn't have the time to get the reward.
Today was the day we were driving past and stopped for a quick easy find. TFTC

After the GCNSW event in the Morpeth Common, Mighty Minions and us headed out to do this AL, bumping into Mr Knepert along the way, and then again at the bonus cache.
We all missed it on the first sweep, then I spotted it - isn't that a change!
Thanks for the AL and the cache!

After the nearby event today , We set of to do the AL with Team737 and met up with Mr Knexpert along the way and then at GZ Mr Knexpert was pulling up just as we did. After attending the Morpeth Mingle event, we decided to head out and do some of the caches around the area that we haven't done yet with the Mighty Minions and Mr Knexpert. Had an amazing time doing this cache and the AL behind it!

I completed the AL early this morning before doing parkrun at Blue Gum Hills. On my way back to in-laws I detoured for this bonus. A quick find at GZ though the birds in the tree weren't impressed by my presence. One even swooped me while I was signing the log! Thanks for the AL. I have been coming to East Maitland for years visiting family, so most of the WPs were familiar to me. TFTC
A long day of caching in the Newcastle and Maitland area as part of our expedition. Started at Minmi this morning and worked my way to the event in East Maitland in the evening.

TFTC and ALab. A nice quick find once my gps settled. I’m glad the grass wasn’t wet and my feet are still dry. Now off to find “ hanging” before tonight’s event.,
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 11025.
Out and about today before the event and I completed the AL and quickly gathered the answers. There has been a lot of water through GZ but the cache was fine.
Thanks Banj5150 for the cache.

An excellent AL taking me to just the kind of highlights a tourist wants to see. I’ll definitely be back to check out the gaol and I loved the Greenway stop as I’d read about his resting place but had no idea where it was. Fav point for sure.
*FTF* with kingfisher_au, armed with the required information from the adventure lab we completed Yesterday. Thanks for the adventure lab and bonus cache. A favourite point from me.
FTF with AussieBen, after a quick randevu before work for one of us with the other of us having the day off and having enjoyed an adventure the night before this was a fitting end to an old stomping ground, thanks for the cache took the Trackable for a ride as we head west next weekz
