After the huge day yesterday (200 caches) was hoping for a sleep in and then a few more caches before heading home. Didnt get the first but did get the second (another 51). Glorious weather again and some beautiful country traversed.Time gif a quick trip to Boorowa to collect a few more. Some guard rail caches in the way - got these right as I approached them all on the correct side of the tiad. Added a new log here as the last was full,TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Heading home from Canberra, this was a nice convenient place to stop. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment.

#4937 Giving Geo2 a run out to Boorowa today I stopped off here to warm up after finally clearing the fog. What do you know, a cache only 20 metres away.Found the container, signed the log and continued on my way. TFTC.
the turn off for Young. Madrabbitoh had missed this, so i had a man look, and found it. TFTC.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a week or so in Yass, today we headed out mid morning. Fantastic weather today. We did alot of cache maintenance today, replacing broken containers, or replacing wet soggy logs. Also finding lids and making sure the logsheets were in the containers then ensuring the lid was on properly before moving on to the next cache. It is very hard for the CO to keep up with maintenance if nobody actually reports any. [B)]TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
We decided to stay another day in Yass and start on some of the trails in the outer lying roads. I am still kicking myself for not bring the ladder, again on today's run three caches not able to be attempted.Total Caches Found 15922TFTC DARKSIDEDAN

Day 7 of my Canberra Mega Adventure. An early start for the day as we had planned to meet up with several other WA teams. LOg signed as WA. TFTC
Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. We have commenced our raid on Yass. All logs have been signed as WA to save space, abbreviation for our team of cachers from Western Australia, who are cleaning up the series together. Cheers DARKSIDEDAN! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!

The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 3 and we had an absolute blast, after an earlier night last night we got up early to head to Yass and the surrounding areas to cleanup a bunch of caches inparticular whereigos and our personal favourite the challenge caches. We stopped in Yass and completed some high quality caches before venturing back to the trails. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WA/WAC (WA Crew)
A big plan was hatched in WA to spend today hitting Yass and surrounds. Living off not much sleep the teams from WA met at 5.30am with very big plans for the day. Lots of laughter and antics we have really enjoyed the variety of caches. Signing as a team - WASome logs are delayed - Apologies for that- its been hectic trying to keep up! Many thanks DARKSIDEDAN for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures.
In Canberra for the GeoBash Mega, our WA group had planned to tackle this area north. Out and about for a full day of fun.Logs signed as WA. Apologies for generic logs today. Cache found with no issues. Cheers!

We managed to fit in around 100 caches before having to head for home in Orange, but we had a fantastic 3 and a half days away non stop caching. On a trip from Orbost, to Brisbane, via Canberra, and stopped closeby to check if this was road towards my destination, and lo and behold a cache 25 metres away, grabbed pen and signed my name, replaced as found, Thanks DARKSIDEDAN, all is in good condition
Nice PnG heading through. First time weve seen the spot muggleless in many many trips. A good smiley to get checked off, TFTC
Recently, I discovered that I needed a lot more caches that have D/T rating of 1.5/1.5 so that I could claim a Challenge Cache. Those ratings are not of the kind that I would normally target, but today, I did. Having not picked up as many as I would have wished while doing the ES series, I turned my attention to a group of DSD's caches that I knew would be true to their rating. This was one of them, and I thank the CO for placing and maintaining these caches. All logs that were found were in good condition. SL
My first early morning find on the second day of my solo cache raid around greater Yass, a quick find, thanks.
Second last find for the day as i was nearing my accommodation. Currently on my way to QOGM in Longreach.
I was out and about and came across this cache to find, today. I’m slowly finding the caches, east from home. At the moment, I’m mostly focusing on the caches between Binalong and the ACT border. Finding this cache certainly has certainly helped with this mission. As I am catching up with my logging, I’m not exactly sure how long it took to find or remember what type of cache it was but I certainly enjoyed finding it all the same. Also, I have back dated this log to the day I found it. When I signed the cache, **it was either signed as JM or JohnoMawbs**. This was due to the size or amount of space on the logsheet/book. TB visit. I would like to thank the CO of this cache for placing it and for allowing it to bring the Geocaching community enjoyment. TFTC!
Spent some time caching in the area.
Signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, DARKSIDEDAN,
and for us and others to find.

Good caching weather today, so we worked our a short day's run with goingplaces2. Had a good morning and each log found had two more names added. TFTC.
Came along on a much cooler but windy day today, along with ilook4geo. We found a lot of lizards as well as some other fun caches. This was one that was easy enough to find and both names or initials were added to each log to mark our visit. Thank go to DARKSIDEDAN for placing this cache.
The cache was guarded, which meant for a quick and easy find

With FFLL#2 heading off for a hike today, FFLL#1 and I decided to go get some challenges and some cruiser stuff. We wanted a nice easy day today with the expected heat so we chose a couple small trails to do and just took our time wandering the back roads. We had a good day today, unfortunately a lot of the caches we found today are in desperate need of CO attention as heaps were complete mush and covered in black mould. We had a successful day all in all, we did replace one cache with the CO's permission after an extensive search resulted in no find and there were prior DNF's. We also placed a few temp small logs until the CO can replace the containers and logs.
Thanks for the fun day out FFLL#1, love the mini adventures we go on and thanks to the CO's for the cache placements for us to find.

Hatched a plan with Rapidlywild to head out to north Yass to attack a couple of trails while the other half of our team was hiking up some crazy hills. We took today slow and steady and found all caches we attempted except for one but with the Co's permission we replaced this one for them. There were a lot of wet and soggy logs on our journey which could probably do with some TLC as the plastic containers used don't seem to be water tight. Small replacement logs in bags were placed in containers where the old log book was just too wet and mouldy to sign.
After heading into Yass for something to eat we decided to continue our journey as the heat that we thought was meant to come had turned into a cloud over. So back on the trails and we had a successful afternoon of caching to match the morning run.
Sorry for the generic log.
Thanks for the hide DARKSIDEDAN and thanks for a fun day out in the country side Rapidlywild.

Cache 9497 on 30 Dec 2022.
Headed out this morning with SpecimenX to grab a few caches north of Yass which had been taunting us for a while. Lots of LBHs and dirt. We saw assorted wildlife on our drive - a few shingleback lizards, some red necked wallabies, eastern grey kangaroos, some sheep on the loose, butterflies, kookaburras, parrots and a rabbit! A fun morning catching up on news and 30 caches!
Unless otherwise indicated, all caches were found in fair order and in accordance with any hints provided.

Teamed up with AngelG27 to go for a drive in the countryside around Yass. Lovely cool day for caching! Be careful on the roads - lots of potholes and road damage from all of this wet weather we've had!
All caches we found were relatively easy finds with only a few taking a few moment longer for the search [^]

Nice quick find.
We arrived into town today & are now camped at the RSL
So many new caches since we were here last, so headed out towards the snakes & other reptiles area.
A variety of cache types found, the road was a little rougher in places than we expected.
The high terrain caches we did not attempt.

Day 3 of my trip with CybergranV to Yass.
After the deluge...
Ridiculous stupid amounts of rain fell yesterday afternoon and evening. We left this morning to tackle the challenge caches north of the Hume with rather a lot of trepidation.
After turning off the Lachlan Valley Hwy we struck washed out roads, water had rushed across the landscape. Remarkably we had only 1 dnf at a creek crossing so a total of 66 caches this morning through here.
First caches were 5 trads in guard rails along the road, most welcome to find these
Thanks DSD

This is the turtle we are most familiar with in the Goulburn River, and is the totem for our local aboriginal mob.
However we always knew it as a tortoise, not a turtle.
We were taught at school that a tortoise has legs and a turtle has flippers.
This creature has legs, not flippers.
Whichever way Feathertop and I are both pleased to have our names added to the log.

We had planned a caching trip with Wilbert67, We started caching in the dark and ended the day in the dark. We travelled Yass and surrounding areas, so many caches have popped up since our last visit here,
The morning looked promising however it changed as the day went. sunny, windy, drizzling, The chilled went straight true us. The roads were quite muddy and some of the way the the road had big rutts, caution was taken not to get stuck along the way.
We did traditional, multis, wherigo letter boxes, mystery and challenge caches.
We always have a great day with Wilbert,
Thanks for you company,
Thanks to all the COs for their hides

Another day in Yass, but with no rain predicted and little wind. Turned out to be a good day for caching with even a few bursts of sun.
We decided to again head out of town on a loop. We learned about Snakes of the World, Turtles of the World, Lizards of the World and even a few flags. This was mixed with a number of Challenge caches and trad or two that we past.
There were a few high ts we managed to get and also a few that were beyond our TOTT!
It was all capped off with a mega multi!
A big day, but quite successful.
Great to meet up with Sui along the way, a prolific and very creative hider.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache DARKSIDEDAN.

With so many caches up around this area, we decided to do an afternoon run to fill in a day for me. Whether it be an Australian Animal, a Lizard, a Snake, a Frog or a Turtle, we were happy to stop for the find ! We really appreciate the series that Darksidedan puts out, as they help us and many other Cachers with their various challenges. All the caches were found without issue, unless otherwise stated. This was a nice quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one on our list.

Was out for an afternoon of caching with Aquilus1 trying (not very well) to tidy up some of the SPRT series when new caches starting out. "To the car!!" I said before even knowing where the caches were because we simply were not having much luck on our other adventure.
Nice little head start given where we were so we powered along passing through Sutton, Murrumbateman, and seeing the lights of Yass as we continued along the highway talking about the famous McDonalds Yass sign which apparently AQ1 had never seen or heard of... which should be a crime. But once we got the Lachlan Valley Way it was down the business with some interesting navigational skills from the co pilot AQ1 we managed to safely collect all the new caches as an *FTF* without and issue before heading home and discussing options for Virutals and Adventure Labs
TFTC and the nice evening drive.
