Logs
Haven't been down to this part of the lake for years. It must be in one of these trees - and there it is. Nice container. TFTC
Out for a big day of caching on this fine Wednesday while out for a bit caching fun. I found Easy access @ 12:11pm.Thanks gotztogetit for placing the cache this one is find #2371 for me TFTC.
Find #1895This was my chosen one for today to get the International Geocaching Day souvenir. Took previous finders advice and grabbed a stick and started poking around holes and eventually found the sneaky little cache Container in great condition. Log book dry. TFTCSL Thanks for placing gotztogetit
Decided to grab a few caches with SLELLIOTT after some lunch and this was the first one. Was about to give up when SLElliott decided to widen the GZ area and found something unusual, the cache!! TFTC. Cute key ring we found in the cache which we left in it for the next person to have! Found it like it said.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. We headed out from Morisset with a plan to follow some Tourist drives and see some touristy sights around Lake Macquarie and try and incorporate a cache or 2. This is the first time we have been to this area.We really enjoyed exploring the Tunnels, Lakes, Caves and Beaches. We saw boaties, surfers, kite surfers, fisher persons and even kangaroos too, but no whales today. [^]We parked between this cache and the nearby one. Mrs F went 1 way and Mr F went the other. We found both caches yay.TFTC gotztogetit
This was a very aesthetically pleasing container and I found it very quickly, of which I was thankful.Thankyou for placing and maintaining the cache series and allowing me to discover a new area.TFTCGeneric overly-detailed summation of the day:Weather report: sunny and clear, not really any windCaching conditions: muggles all preoccupied with Anzac day, GPS satellites talking nicely to my phoneSnack situation: poor - Anzac day meant lots of places were closed so I settled for some hummus and cheese and biscuits for lunch. Despite being hungry I did not eat my apples. Maybe tomorrow?Public toilet status: Plenty of toilets all throughout my cachescapades today. The worst toilet was at a BP, it was probably the dirtiest toilet I have ever seen, and I've travelled in some weird places. Best toilet was at Summerland point park.Munzee distractions: loads. Probably found the most munzees that I have in a while, but was surprised that there were some places without any munzees at all.Weirdos encountered: 4 drunks stumbling along the footpath as I walked up the street to grab dinner.("`-''-/").___..--''"`-._ `6_ 6 ) `-. Reperio 10:48Day 5 of our Newcastle geocaching escapade, and Master Vitruvius and I headed towards the Belmont and Swansea areas before making our way slowly towards Sydney. We arrived at GZ, and with only a few good options to search, we soon located the cache.Gratias gotztogetitAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
GPS had us moving between 2 trees, and there were so many good options to choose from unfortunately, there was a lot of leaf litter and I agree with previous comments about the smell of urine ultimately gave up due to the fact we didnt know if we were even looking at the right tree, and not wanting to touch anything given the smell.May try again another day
Lots of cobwebby bits of tree for a Geocache to hide in, as well as lots of leaf litter, so I armed myself with a stick to poke about with. Not too long and bingo!!-cool container and an awesome spot. TFTC
We have travelled from Sydney's Northern Beaches to the Central Coast for a five day midweek holiday, staying at the Norah Head Holiday Park (caravan park) in Norah Head. Having already found most of the caches around Norah Head and the areas surrounding Tuggerah & Budgewoi Lakes on previous holiday visits, except for a few new ones and the odd DNF needing a visit/revisit, on this trip we will be concentrating our efforts in areas to the north of Lake Munmorah. Planning to explore areas around the southern & eastern shores of Lake Macquarie, including Wyee, Gwandalan, Doyalson North, Cams Wharf, Murrays Beach, Pinny Beach, Caves Beach, and Swansea. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today we spent the morning caching at Cams Wharf, Murrays Beach, and Galgabba Point. Then it was a visit to The Entrance, before returning to the caravan park for a late lunch and a swim in the pool. This was the 1st of 10 finds for the day (day 3), and 31st find of the holiday. This was our first cache stop of the morning, parking close to the cache in the parking area, then heading over to GZ for a nice quick find in the first place we checked. TNLNSL, and then replaced the nice high quality cache container as it had been found. TFTC gotztogetit.Find #6522
Beautiful, windy, quiet day on the foreshore. Enjoying some peace and quiet. Only a muggle or two to avoid. Found after a wee bit of hunting. TFTC . Love the container!
We found the right tree to search thanks to accurate coords. I wasn't optimistic. However, Sue found it very quickly. No wonder that I love her so much, even after 40 years. TFTC goztogetit

LEST WE FORGET
I was after a good number of finds as well as a good walk today, so decided to start the *Fernleigh Track* series at Belmont.
Also, being ANZAC Day, I was looking for an appropriately themed cache as well. Unfortunately, of the two appropriate caches nearby, I was only only able to find one of them. But that's better than none.
Got ten caches plus an AL location and a nice walk with only two DNFs.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Arrived here with a bit of light still left. Decided to take the headlamp anyway. Decided on which tree by checking the app from the car, and headed here.
I find searching with a torch can either be a curse or a boon. Sometimes you miss something obvious in daylight and sometimes the torch shows up something harder to make out in the day. Thankfully in this case it was the latter (the container almost glowed) and I made a surprisingly quick find.
Added my ink to the log, replaced and walked off to the other nearby to finish the day.

TFTC and a nice find after almost giving up. Not for from where we actually found the cache was a glass bottle that has been broken so be careful where you put your hands. What beautiful big fig trees in the area.
Had just told Techsavvy9 to give up when I spotted it. Cache and log in good condition. TFTC
Came back after doing another cache and this time I fluked it. The cache was well covered with leaves and I managed to spot just an infinitesimally small piece. Thanks gotztogetit.
Lots places to look, but no luck today. Like others the area has been badly used
DNF for this one, We looked at all the likely spots you would/could hide a cache around mainly in the leaf litter GZ,was all over the place leading us from one tree to the other, one smelled like a urinal, so didn't stay, also looked at previous logs for any hints. . gotztogetit.

Had no luck the first time so we went and did a couple more around the lake. After we PAF, we gave it another go with success. TFTC. A very sneaky hide.
After seeing the notifications for some new caches down this way, we headed down this morning, we ended up getting 2 FTFs and 3 other caches along the way...

After a wet weekend, and the first day of school holidays, we were keen for an outing and some caches. We missed this a while back, but Samuel seemed to nail it pretty fast today, it was well hidden though - I'm not surprised we missed it before. Nice container too.... TFTC!

With our 'Blue Switch' souvenir in our sights, we headed south into familiar caching grounds to pick up some new caches and some stragglers we just have never got around to... 6 finds plus a pair of trigs, and some leads on new placements as well, all in glorious autumn weather (for once!)....
'Easy' you say?? That's always a deadly word in a title for us.... yep, DNF for us, despite a PAF guiding us too.

I like these park and grabs just popping up along the way. Saves me driving further and further. Nice camo. TFTC.

We called in here on our way north to Newcastle, our first major caching trip in 2 years. There was plenty of parking close to GZ and a short walk and search gave us the cache. We would have explored more along the water but the grass is way too long after all the rain. Thanks for a good hide in a great location.
FTF. This is my first ever First to Find. It was worth the drive in the rain to log it. Nice cache in a scenic spot
