Reperio 15:08Today I was headed over to Dubbo, and after making a stop in town, I headed out towards Dunedoo way on my journey back home to Orange. I stopped for lunch at the kebab shop, and so while I was eating, I set about solving this one. Once at GZ the cache was very quickly spotted.Gratias Joshwa27As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
I was determined not to leave Wellington without a smiley on this cache after having paid chikinlittle to solve it for me. It was found in a really pretty location, hopeful to see some platypus in the river but not so. Off we cycled on day 5 of 7, up the big forestry hills towards our destination of Dubbo. All up today was 69.5 kms and a tonne of torrential rain that not only caused slippery mud, but had us soaked to the bones despite wearing gortex pants and jackets - fixing a puncture during a massive downpour didn't help as we had to stop to put on fleeces to stop hypothermia but only made us wetter trying to change! All part of the fun I guess. TFTC.
Located after a short search ... and as the sun goes down on another perfect day.
Nice easy park and grab even if I did get the evil eye from the old couple on the bench lol
Found on way to Dubbo for Dance Eisteddfod. So solved this one in Bathurst & picked up along the wayGeokids stopped to play TFTC
TFTC and the exercise I got while walking around Wellington. I solved the jigsaw ages ago but must have put a wrong number in the waypoints. Had me walking down a lane way and I knew it wouldnt be down there on private land. So I did the puzzle again and yep, one wrong number. Had to walk back from where I originally came from. Mr Muggle told me to meet him at Woolworths after I found the cache so I walked there. So glad I got my new hip in March this year.
Sydney to Melbourne Meander. Day Four: Gunnedah to Forbes.Weather: A chilly morning but otherwise superb. Its great to be back in Joshwa27 territory, its been a while. This is one of four jigsaw puzzle caches found today, two in Gulgong and two in Wellington. I usually outsource jigidis to an older relative, but I did all four here by myself last night and today. All four caches were easy to find with the solved coordinates. Thanks for the puzzles and the caches Joshwa27
Day 2 of my tour of Central NSW. Hoping to chase some LGAs and other points of interest. Started the caching day in a little place called Stuart town out of Orange, then wandered around the Wellington points of interest. On to Dubbo before heading to Gilgandra for some family catchups. Quick find - all good with cache.Tftc
Find# 11189Nice easy find after scraping around "the entrance" here.Solved the jigsaw some time ago, so great to sign the log.TFTC Joshwa27 9 May 2024
Found by Mary and David at 10:35. Wouldn't like to have to walk across the old closed Rotary suspension bridge with all that flood debris covering its deck. Just glad the cache wasn't over the water. Our thanks to Joshwa27.
On our way home so cache finding has become less frequent. But, and there's always a but, this was solved and at a place convenient for RV parking so we gladly got out to look for it. Thankfully the wasp nest was spotted before lunging in. Some really fun history on the sign near here.. TFTC Joshwa27.
Cache found in the last place we looked. And avoided the wasps. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of OzGeoMuster MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. #2623Found during my return road tripTo Sydney at completing the NRL broadcast in Mudgee.A quick park and find once I sorted it out..
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 9: After a night in Molong (and our first real downpour of the trip overnight, its blue skies and sunny again and time to take a long and windy trip to Dubbo. We stopped in this park for lunch and then wandered across the bridge for a look. 33,625. Found during our Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure - a 33 day epic tour of Northern NSW and Outback Queensland finding many caches, attending great events and catching up with awesome Cachers along the way.Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure Day 32. Today we packed up, and continued South towards home. We passed through Walgett, Coonamble, Gulargambone, Gilgandra, Eumungerie, Dubbo to our target for tonight Wellington. We still had 2 days and a reasonable amount of caches to go on this trip. This was the next one on the list. Quickly found once at GZ. Signed as F65 and A33 as required. Replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our journey. Thanks to all the COs who put out these caches !!
QOGM 2023 Longreach Day 32. Traveling Lightning Ridge to Wellington via Walgett, Gilgandra and Dubbo. Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 are on our trip in early spring to Longreach. The journey home is well under way. We had a quiet day caching, but there were stops in Walgett and Gilgandra for LABs. Things were busy in Wellington, but we found a camp site and headed out for the last two puzzles in the area before finding an open pub on this public holiday afternoon. Dinner was cooked at camp before a early night to try and do some logging. We spent the afternoon driving up and down the length of Wellington for a few caches and then trying to find an open watering hole. Thanks for the cache Joshwa2744610.4 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2007 Compass Rose Nickel A#74**Albida**
On a road trip and caching trip CaptainKirky. On this part of our trip we are heading home from doing the geotour in Ballarat. I must say that doing some of these finds can take you to interesting finds, places and great views. Thanks for placing this find.
DAY 2
After much planning, saving and extra mods to the 4WD we are finally on our way to Longreach to take part in the QOGM festivities. We have just over a week to get there, so a route was planned to encompass uncharted LGA’s as we zig zag our way through NSW, as well as a slight detour to Coffs Harbour to visit family. Will we make it in time? Who knows, but we are going to give it a good shot.
Another jigsaw solved and another cache find in a cool spot.
Thanks Joshwa27 for the mystery placement.

Enjoyed doing the jigsaws of Wellington and enjoyed this park,I feel I need to give this one a favourite point.TFTC
Failed to find this two days ago when we realised the puzzle had changed since we solved it.
Today it was just far enough away from the finished ANZAC Service to make the find.

#3343 First of six finds around Wellington, Eumungerie and Tooraweena while Adventure Labbing and geocaching. Found quickly after a short search. TFTC
We are on our way to the Rutherglen Mega. When we were in Lightning Ridge and had gone on a day trip to Grawin, 3 warning lights came up on our dash. So instead of going to Bourke (a local calls this road the Chiropractic Highway) we came to Dubbo. Mazda Service Centre were fantastic and fixed it that day. But because we are going to Broken Hill we thought going for a short trip to make sure all was right would be a good idea. So we looked and there were 2 puzzle caches at Wellington, one of Johns favourite type of caches.
Thanks for bringing us to a beautiful park.

Did a couple of jigsaws and re-solved a couple of history mysteries to fill my time before taking a trip to Hill End via Wellington. I decided to use geocaching to show me things in the area I had previously missed. It worked.
Highlights were a number of lookouts, the Cornish Roasting Pits, and an incredibly creepy looking graveyard.
Thanks to everyone who hid these caches. I was going to make a video of the trip for Valentines day but I left my laptop at Dubbo and I'm not returning there till after a baby is evicted from its cooshy home.

Another excellent jigsaw in Wellington, which I was very happy to do. At GZ Shufflehop and I had no trouble finding the cache, however Shufflehop was bitten on the shoulder by an angry wasp during the search. Bah.
This one took a while to spot then we were on our way back to Orange. Thanks Joshwa27.
River is high and running very fast. Fortunately, GZ is above the water level. Really enjoy doing these jigsaws. TFTC
We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.
Day 21 – Last day for us today our journey would be from Dubbo to Canberra. We were both well and truly ready to be home again back to the home comforts. Nice to go away but even nicer to return home. Many caching stops along our way home and this was one of them.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise mentioned.
Pretty flooded here but the cache is safe.
Thanks for the hide Joshwa27

Solved puzzle before leaving home. Just as we pulled up to GZ another car pulled up behind us. Thought we had an instant friend to search for the cache together but alas our friend was looking for milk thistles to feed her birds. Ah well we searched alone and found the cache. Our friend however didn’t find any milk thistles and moved on quickly after our little chat. TFTC and the puzzle.
While on our road trip south we earmarked a few puzzles to do along the way, this being one.
We arrived and had no trouble parking close to GZ.
A quick find was made. Afterwards we spent a bit of time down by the nearby river.
With the sun shining after days of rain it was a pleasant spot to sit for a while.

Solved a whole lot of puzzles in preparation for a trip to the region. Checked last night and this one was still unfound, due to a coordinate error. Redid the puzzle and hoped that I would be first.
Found an empty log
Thanks for the cache

An adventure. You know the story of the coordinates. I was over the other side of the river looking for this one. I was gone before you sent me the coords, but I've had a great day anyway. (See my later logs) I'll pick this one up next time I head to Brissy. Thanks, Joshwa27.
Drove to within 500m of solved co-ords, and they didn't seem right, so moved into the next one.
