I've been to this park many times, and never realised there was a geocache right here! Thanks for the cache.
25 September 2024 9:35pmFound this one late tonight after a local game store tournament. After having a goodnight I headed on over to this one to fill in a day of my streak. Regardless with no one nearby I was able to quickly spot this one and sign it before any muggles noticed. Anyways thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
When we arrived at the car park we noticed quite a few muggles dog walking.Strolling over to GZ we did a quick scan and the geowife said there it is.Log signed and all back safe as found. Thanks jupiterpearl
Spotted before I could grab it due to all the dog walkers. Eventually got there
14:47Up at silly o'clock for an event in Springvale and an early CITO, followed by a paddle to Herring Island for another get-together, it was still too early to go home, so went off in search of a few more caches. This was the second... one that I'd had a quick glance at while walking through in January. Thanks, jupiterpearl.I looked there last time.#9012
Kids kicking the footy right next to the cache but were able to sneak along to grab it.
TFTC! Came back today given last time we were here it had been muggled! Easy find.
TFTC It was busy with dogs off leash but the hint helped with stealth once Id found it!
Twelfth man has arrived. New cache in play. Can be full of muggles. Use stealth BYO pencil.
Indeed this cache is missing. Try to replace soon. Does not affect the mystery
DNF today . Came for a caching day of all jupiterpearls caches! (he has some really good caches) but sadly no luck today.
Here getting the ad lab but thought i'd stop and get this one. A very quick find due to great accurate g z coords
Not to many people around today, I was expecting quite a search but due to spot on coords the cache was soon in hand. I wandered away to sign the log then replaced without muggle interruption. Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache.. btw have no idea what leg slip is LOL
A busy park on a sunny Friday morning but I was lucky that I walked straight up to this one and spotted it immediately. Phew.
Caching day with crank1 for the day around Caulfield/Malvern area. Found it and thanks jupiterpearl for placing this cache
We went searching for caches with kangas11 and found your cache and signed the log jupiterpearl, thank you so much for placing it.
I was further south today for a Mystery cache to help with a challenge... and after completing that task successfully, I set about finding other caches on my wandering way home. Although there were quite a few muggles around this afternoon, no one was nearby so I was able to make this find undisturbed.
Thanks **jupiterpearl** for this cache.
Thanks **jupiterpearl** for this cache.
It was finally time to get back out there with LouJean70 and have a good old fashioned caching day.
HEAPS of people around had us thinking this would be hard, but thankfully we were sneaky enough that we didn't arouse suspicion.
Again, not sure what we were meant to be looking for to help with the Mystery cache.

Out with ASP84 today after a long break. With a husband who is watching the Ashes right now I can appreciate this series. Lots of muggles with the same style of dog here and so so cold brrr. Thank you
Thanks to jupiterpearl for this cache, quite timely with the Ashes series on at the moment.
All good at GZ.
All good at GZ.

There weren't many muggles nearby until after I had retrieved the container when they seemed to come from nowhere. A short wander around and the coast was clear again.
Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache

Out and about on King's Birthday Holiday for another day to satisfy the latest souvenir requirement. My first for the day. I followed my GPS to GZ where, with great co-ordinates, the first place I checked was the correct one. I love it when that happens. It's a pity it's not more frequent.
My thanks to jupiterpearl for the cache.

**First off, I just wanted to say congratulations for this cache series being nominated for the 2022 Cache of the Year Awards for Best Cache Series! Well done!**
I had the goal last year to find as many of the COTYA nominees as I could and I had an absolute blast exploring new areas and finding some amazing caches that I would have never known about if it wasn't for the nominee list.
So with the [2022 Victorian COTYA Nominees List](https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BMC8QYR?sort=name&sortOrder=asc&skip=0&take=20) getting released I decided that I once again wanted to make it a goal to try and find as many of the nominee caches as I could.
I had found half of the six traditionals prior to the series getting nominated, but had kind of just left the series incomplete. So tonight I was motivated to finally finish them off.
This one was the first of the night with [EAST CAULFIELD THIRD MAN](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Q0AJ) and [MURRUMBEENA COVERS](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9PX8Z) to follow.
Knowing that the cache I previously found in the series were usually around some very high muggle areas, I figured It would be best to attempt this one at night.
I was shocked to see so many muggles out exercising tonight. There was even a whole young muggle team out practicing footy! I was shocked.
*How late do these practices go!*
I then played the waiting game, until practice finally ended. This surprisingly took longer than I thought, but it did give me some time to work on trying to crack the puzzle for the [final](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Q45F).
However, after the coast was clear I was finally able to start my search and after only a minute or two the cache was in hand and the logbook signed.
A big thanks goes to [jupiterpearl](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=936ccf8b-4612-4dd6-b767-a9469613f0ff&wid=f575c38b-e94f-49fe-a426-78b473973191&ds=2) for the fun tonight and TFTC.
**Cache Maintenance Status**
The cache container was in good shape. The camo was mostly intact, which made the cache blend in well. The attachment mechanism still seemed strong and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

After celebrating n0w0rries and +wife’s cacheversary, I set off to find some nearby caches.
It was starting to rain by now and there was a football game on near GZ. Fortunately everyone was focused on the game and looking in the opposite direction. I was able to sneak in and grab the cache, sign the log and then discreetly replace it.
Thanks jupiterpearl for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

I found myself in this area visiting a nearby facility to which we will be visiting on a regular basis.
On the drive back home, a quick check of the map revealed there was a new cheeky unfound Trad here. A quick stop and look before the cache was found easily.
I keep forgetting to write down the clues for the series.
Thank you for the cache here jupiterpearl

We were lucky to be able to find this cache without any major issues, otherwise called muggles. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
We don't usually venture down this way so it was good for a change. The cache was found with no problems. Thanks for the cache.
A quick discreet find in a high muggle area. Stealth mode: Expert.
Thanks for bringing me here by placing this cache, jupiterpearl

I first visited here last Sunday and lets say the grounds were packed. A baseball match on one ground maybe, a cricket match on the other. I didn't bother getting out of the car. This time around, still very busy, but no matches going on. I approached GZ and of course someone had left a skip practically right at GZ and it was taped off. I was still able to search, but thankfully I spotted the cache sort of exposed and swiftly tucked it into my pocket and took to the car to sign. I returned it so that it was not exposed. I do wonder though if whoever is bowling in these nets, if the speed of their bowling and the ball hitting the back of the net is enough to disturb the cache and it shifts from its place.
Thanks to jupiterpearl.
Thanks to jupiterpearl.
**PRINCES LEG SLIP, Monday 5th Dec**
We (Snips and Co and I) started on the “King of Spin” series of caches exactly a month ago, so we set a target to find/finish the rest today. The first outing found us looking on a Saturday, which we realise made the task at hand a whole lot harder. We both had today free, so being a Monday it meant a lot of the facilities were muggle-free, and parking was a breeze.
We know how tricky the camo and the hides are in this clever little series, so we steeled ourselves for the search. We didn’t need to for this one, it was a bit exposed. So log signed, I popped it back in it’s likely hidey-hole.
Thanks jupiterpearl for all the geocaches today. Really appreciate the huge effort of placing and maintaining for our amusement.
Cache on
**The Cache:** In great condition. TNLN. Signed log as SALTECO, Snips and Co, Let Them Eat Cache, LTEC, or something in between.
*Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**

Finally on the hunt for the King of Spin again! We found this quite quickly... in the open. The camo is great and it looked like no-one had noticed it. LTEC popped it back in to blend away completely
Took a decently long walk to South Caulfield to pick up this cache. Although there were a couple of groups practising their bowling and strokes they paid me no heed.
I can't say the same for Simmo the puppy. As I was replacing the cache, Simmo took one of his orbits around the cricket nets. Pick an exposed spot in an off-leash park and you run the risk of unfortunate timing.

Found with Bogonghazy and Geo pup. Quite a few muggles around so took a little bit longer to locate. Thanks for placing the geocache
An early appointment in Melbourne had LittleBoss2, Geo the puppy and i finding a few caches. Not such a quick find here with lots of muggles, but we got there. Thanks

*Cache find # 13458.*
While in the area, I stopped by this one for a look.
This is a very busy area but I managed to spot the cache quickly, I just had to wait a while before it could be retrieve, I quickly scribbled my name on the log sheet and replaced As I was walking by in one action.

Part of our tour brought us to this nice little park.
Despite some fellows having a hit in the nets, we were able to seek out the cache, sign the log and put it back without raising any suspicions.
The only disappointing part was when I had to call a 'no-ball' on one of the guys in the nets for straightening his elbow while he was bowling.
Thanks jupiterpearl for another sneaky hide.
Chiefton!!!

I don't know anything about cricket but I have walked through this park more times than I count. It was a well visited destination on my covid lockdown walks.
Today it was a quick lunch time visit to fill in my calendar grid. The area was fairly quiet but a couple of curious dogs came up to me quickly and their owners gave me just as curious looks.
Thanks jupiterpearl for quick grab caches for my working from home lunch breaks

TFTC! 20 August 2022 6:50:53 pm 3153
Thanks for the cache. Made a find for Geocaching dart!
The hardest thing about this cache was not spotting it, or the muggles ( which you might think would be an issue what with it being a Saturday with a game on) but finding a nearby parking spot! Was pleased that it turned out to be a nice easy find for today's world record attempt. TFTC!
I was trying not to find this one, but something caught my eye that wasn't the cache but did in fact help hide it. Sorry GJMMelb! TFTC
After some recent surgery, nice and easy terrain caches we’re on the menu today so we arranged to meet quiet1_au for an arvo of caching this series. Hahaha re q1 trying to let us find this one … I was half heartedly searching, but actually watching the footy match as the Hawks were playing. Unfortunately GMelb was up the other end, so was too far away. Once q1 noticed the hide, we provided cover for him to extract, sign and replace, whilst continuing to watch the game lol

Not been caching much of late so headed out on a Sunday arvo bike ride to check out a few local ones. Suburban sports grounds are certainly my 'happy place' so it was great to visit and see a bit of activity (mostly footy at this time of year) on. Very busy at this one and in the range of falling Sherrins during the break in the game. Was off track at first but once I corrected I made the find pretty quickly. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackable. Thanks for the cache and the series jupiterpearl.
This cache was simple in the end, but took several minutes until the ah ha moment with muggles around making a full blown search difficult.
Thanks to jupiterpearl for the fun and the adventure.

Caching in the Hampton/Carnegie area with xambo4u, we were the only ones around in the cold and rain.
No-one about made this a very easy find. I wouldn’t like to do it at the weekend. Thanks jupiterpearl.

Out and about with a echidna44 and the rain has stopped. Nice easy parking and a short walk for a very very easy hide not sure why it is a 3 1/2. Cache excellent condition. Thanks for the cache jupiterpearl

Out and about with My good mate Omegaman1971 on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon. I was keen to do the Shane Warne tribute caches today and any others that were on route. with the weather being so nice a lot of places were over run with Muggles, this made it very frustrating with some of the placement, but we found them due to experience and stealth,

Out and about today with PrezDough grabbing a few caches.
Grabbed the nearby AdLab and then onto this one. It was found pretty easily, however we don’t know if there is a clue associated with this cache.
A few muggles, but a convenient phone call allowed us to make the grab and depart.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition.
I visited 5 TB.

Found with CJDenno. This place was quite full of dogs, kids playing football, and people exercising. While the container was easy to find, waiting for muggles took a few minutes. We also were confused as the cache didn’t have a hint for the mystery cache like the description said. We logged our names waited a minute to put the cache back, and continued getting more caches.

3 out of 6! A busy park and trying too hard made this one a bit of a challenge! TFTC
When we arrived there were quite a few muggles and their dogs around although many seemed to leave when light rain occurred. We met a woman with a couple of nice cattle dogs and chatted for a few minutes. The cache was a quick find once the GPSr settled down. Thanks to jupiterpeal for the cache.
This was supposed to be a quick lunchtime park n grab but due to a combination of an extraordinary number of dog walkers even in the middle of the day, and me making a foolish (and wrong!) assumption about the hint, I spent way too long searching for this one.
My GPSr was also shifting around a bit, and initially pointed to where I thought the hint was indicating anyway, which kept me from properly checking out the _right_ spot...
After 15-20 minutes of frustrated looking, interspersed with waiting out dogs and their muggles, I screen grabbed the satellite view and zoomed right in closer than the map itself will allow, then checked exactly in that spot, and... found it in seconds.
Signed the log, visited a couple of trackables. Four down, two to go (plus the Mystery, of course). Thanks for the cache and the series, jupiterpearl.

I found this cache on the ground, so I signed the log and replaced the cache where I expected it would have been hidden. Then I watched a bit of the junior football, both sides were playing better than the Western Bulldogs did last night against the Tigers. Bah.
Found at 4:10 pm.
I hadn't been for a bike ride for quite a few weeks and even though it was recommended NOT to do these on a weekend, only 2 of the 6 trads had people right at GZ so I had to move on. So managed to find 4 which is ok. I'll go back on a non weekend for the other 2.
Even though a footy game was going on right nearby this one I happened to spot straight away which I was very pleased about.
Thanks jupiterpearl for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

The catch was taken and an opposition fielder moved in and hovered over my position. *Pretending to talk on his phone.*
I had moved away and taken a seat in the pavilion but was forced to remain there for about 4 hours... well maybe 5 minutes.
