Nice quick find however the very strong wind made it too dangerous to attempt the climb.
In Canberra for the GeoBash Mega event. We did a day run on the Sunday, and went caching with good friends. As we had a great tree climber with us, we decided on higher terrain caches. All caches found after a lot of looking high in trees and a lot of laughter. The day went quickly. We then grabbed some lab caches and headed home. Many thanks for placing this cache, Sui_001, for us and others to find.
With some disappointment we had to give away these higher terrain caches in the area.I am still struggling with spinal issues (arrived home from this trip and right to hospital for another spine surgery)and woolwood9 has ongoing knee issues so too tough for us oldies!
What can we say. This is another fabulous cache by this CO. We were fortunate that no TOTT's were needed as we would have to unpack half of the car to get what was needed. It took sooooo long to eventually spot what we were looking for. Whilst we were still trying to locate the cache, Team Crackers arrived and joined in the hunt. Thanks for another fabulous cache. Another favourite for sure.
We haven't done many caches by this CO but all that we have done are fabulous. This one had us going for a long time. Team Crackers pulled up and so we had four of us looking for the cache. It took as absolutely ages but eventually our monkey in a man suit made the find and the retrieval. Thanks again for this great cache. Another favourite for sure.
Catching up with late logsWe were traveling from wagga to Canberra to attend the Capital Geobash and were mainly looking for a few higher d/t caches today. As we approached gz we spotted another vehicle pulling up that we recognized and sure enough it turned out to be Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 who were obviously doing the same thing. We had our TOTT on board and Papi4506 the monkey in a man suit said he wouldn't need it and talk off making the climb look easy.He soon had the cache in hand and all our names were added to the log book. Thanks Sui_001 for another fantastic cache container, a favourite point from us.
No luck for me today because we had been looking but unfortunately to find so can get it so DNF for me today with blue face
Not just another tree climb! I had a gecko go up the ladder. We couldnt see it from the ground. Up she went and got nothing, then coming down she spotted something odd. Upon closer inspection it was our target. After resetting the ToTT she went up again & made her way across to the cache, signed it and scrambled back down. Thanks Sui for the uncomfortable experience (and I was on the ground)
After reading the previous DNF, we didn't hold much hope for finding this one. We also took extra care with our feet in case it had fallen to the ground. After about ten minutes, l decided to look from a higher vantage point and what do you know? There he was staring back at me. I very carefully picked my way over and signed the log. Very happy that this is safe and sound
Nice day for caching, so picking up some odds and ends near Murrumbateman. TFTC
Having spotted the cache previously I knew where to look. Today I spotted it with a different crew and a different, and slightly more difficult location but hey, we had our ropes.
It took quite a while to set up the ropes and SocialClimber did the honours. As usual he made it look easy as we held the rope firmly below. TFTC Sui_001.

Up and up and up went the team's duty climber before the log was signed. A great tree - thanks, Sui_001!

Today I had a call if I wanted to join a small expedition and managed to get a lift out here where barb2e, FurfacesLL, fitzy_1965, MinnieK and albida33 met to see, if we could find the cache. It had been found previously by albida and possibly spotted by FurfacesLL earlier in the week.
With all of us craning our necks and albida going up again, we didn't find the cache. We did find the skull on the ground a little further away and called the CO, who allowed us to put it back in the tree, with a new cache. So up he went again and fixed it in place.
The skull is quite something.

Found with fitzy_1965, albida, FurfacesLL, isopeda & barb2e.
We gathered to make a group find on this cool cache. We all searched high and then we all searched low. Eventually the skull was found but no cache. A quick call to the CO gave us permission to replace and rehide.
Thanks for the fun Sui_001.

Coming back from a trip beyond Yass on Monday we stopped at this cache for a quick look. We knew the skull had been found on the ground and been told that FurfacesLL had possibly spotted the cache still in the tree. Couldn't see it, but a quick trip back out was organised for Friday. I joined FurfacesLL, Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, isopeda and albida33 for a serious search, but alas no cache. The skull was spotted on the ground some distance away and a call to the CO made. Some cache makings and fixings were available so albida33 made the second ascent of the day and the cache and skull were secured back into the tree - and pretty high up too!
A successful little excursion at the end. Tftc Sui

29,772. Found with minniek, isopeda, Barb2e, FurfacesLL, and with help from albida33, and the CO remotely, during an afternoon attempt for this fearsome cache.
After resting up after this mornings warm adventures, a group of us met up at this cache for an attempt despite signs that it might be missing. albida searched up high with no luck. Finding the skull some distance away we found it cacheless. A call to the CO who as always was very helpful and allowed us to replace the cache. The replacement was constructed and signed, and albida did the climb yet again. I held the ladder
Thanks Sui_001 !! Fav Point. And thanks to everyone who showed up for the fun.

After work we headed to am impromptu gathering with albida33 (previous finder and tree monkey), Fitzy_1965, minniek, isopeda and Barb2e to try our luck at this one.
It seemed the skull had gone walk-about into the tall grass nearby and what we thought we had spotted the weekend before had also gone MIA.
A quick call to the CO and the go ahead was given to replace the cache as previously found although maybe a little more difficult then albida33 had previously found it. Between us we had all the correct equipment for the suitable replacement.
Thanks for the intended hide Sui_001 and thanks albida33 for doing the honours and to the group for the fun. Gets a fav from us just for the fun gathering and unique cache.

The end of the week came around and there were a few thing going on in the day. During the morning I went caching out to Murrumbateman with Smitten Granny. We started at the show grounds and then did a few along the highway including one very impressive tree climb. After Lunch a trip to Albury for a specific D/T cache started. Joolay, Kitty Katch & I set off around 2pm and pretty much drove non stop to Albury. There was a little time for a few caches before dinner and one after dinner. Tomorrow will be a walk and a forest explore for several puzzle caches.
This side road yielded a few caches today. There was some gravel storage going on, but not near the caches. Just long grass. In amongst the long grass was a huge tree, so I started up and found something that may have been blown waste or could be something made by a bird. From up there I saw the cache well over from where I was so I had to go up the trunk I had struggled with initially. The cache was a great motivator and up I went and the cache was signed and I did not drop anything.
Thanks for the cache Sui_001

Oh me oh me oh my !!! I found it incredibly difficult to watch Albida33 clambering around way up there. Earlier we had been carrying on and A33 said he didn't want to die as a result of a car accident, but obviously falling out of a tree at that height isn't regarded as ??????? Whaaaat the hectic! He returned to the ground safely much to my relief after signing the log. Yes that is worth every half star it has been given in its D/T ratings. TFTC Sui_001
DNF for this one, We looked at all the likely spots you would/could hide a cache around near GZ, also looked at previous logs for any hints. . Sui_001.

Sui_001 asked loci612 and myself to check on this cache on our way up to Yass. The camouflage / outer container was found at the base of the tree as expected. Knowing how Sui_001 hides his caches however, I was convinced the logbook and main container would still be in the tree. We signed a logbook and put it into a replacement bison just incase. Loci612 made the climb, and it was a tough climb that's for sure. Quite challenging and a couple of interesting parts. It is free-climbable however if you are prepared for it physically and mentally! Eventually loci612 managed to spot the bison tube, tightly secured to the tree with the help of darksidedan who knew where to look as i was present when sui_001 was placing the cache, holding the ladder, supplying the bison and giving advice as to where the cache should go. Luckily Loci612 had brought the "skull" up with him in his jumper hoodie as there was no other way to carry it whilst climbing! Loci attached the skull to the bison, but didn't have the right tools to do it properly so he poked it into the base of the skull after signing our names into the logbook. Thanks Sui_001, favourite point for the coolness of the cache.
On a nice winters day with a cold breeze in the air me and IamCoust did a geocaching run around Yass and Murrambateman, driving on quiet unsealed roads picking up parts of the snake and lizard series which dot the landscape out here. Most caches were easy to find so it was mainly a numbers game which was both pleasing and tiring at the same time.
Some caches we considered very near peoples properties so it was a quick get in, get out before being spotted or interrogated. Overall a very enjoyable day. TFTC
This cache: Lucky for us the tree was void of any leaves, in part due to winter so both of us scanned the tops of the tree to find the 'skull'. It was more on the fence side, and boy it was high up. But this is a solid tree, you just have to hang on tight at the top without looking down, easy said then done. After signing the log i headed down to the safety of the ground, it was certainly a cache to remember. TFTC

An early start to a cool and windy day with Green-Martian tackling a few of the recently published caches out and around the Murrumbateman/Yass area. We targeted a mixture of finds, following a basic route weaving back and forth along the back country roads. Most finds came without issue but the odd one here and there presented a challenge in one way or another. In that regard, any interesting or specific details relating to the find are added to the end of log. Regardless, at the end of the day there were about 60 successful finds, 1 DNF and 1 other we were not well enough prepared to tackle.
As the morning went on the numbers grew, and so did the surrounding clouds. In the end, after a solid 6 hours of caching, as the rain began to fall, we called it quits for the day.
GM took to the sky for this one, he pulled the short straw. Took a few minutes to locate, we were looking at the wrong side of the tree. Once spotted, and after one small obstacle, GM had the cache in hands. I was here soon after publishing and the tree was covered in leaves. What a difference a few months make.
Thanks again GM for a great day out, and the CO’s for all their hard work and effort. TNLNSL TFTC

Cache 8981 on 22 May 2022.
A mini mission this afternoon with team FATZ to collect a couple of tasty caches out near Murrumbateman and north Belconnen.
This one was on the radar since it was published as we knew it would both be a challenge and interesting, and it met expectations. Fox was keen to climb, and indeed, it had a difficult section which required some innovation. While Fox was signing the log, the outer container fell to the ground again. So ZQX practiced his returning skills and Fox fixed it again to the cache, but not before ZQX used it as a prop and recited some famous Shakespeare !
Thanks Sui_001 for the cache and the fun! Fav point comin at ya!

Red Skull said, "A soul for a soul." I replied, "Nah, infinity stones are so passé. But I'm happy to grab your geocache. Red Skull scowled but handed over the goods.
"You're looking a bit pale, mate," I observed.
"Yes," he said. "The red faded in protest after I watched the latest Dr Strange movie."
Found as part of FATZ.

Spotted the cache however it was too high for us to climb. Maybe some other time.

Eventually I managed to spot the bison tube, tightly secured to the tree just as I had expected! Luckily I had brought the "skull" up with me, tucked it into my jumper hoodie as there was no other way to carry it whilst climbing!
I attached the skull to the bison, but didn't have the right tools to do it properly. I think it will stay there for the time being though, until the CO can permanently affix it.
The cache can be ENABLED. Even if the skull falls down again (which I don't think it will until another person plays with it), the container is still in the tree to climb and sign the log to claim a find.
Thanks Sui_001, favourite point for the climb

#332 After arriving at GZ by means of the Thief Mobile. Turtle284 and I started searching up. Only to find not too long later that the cache had taken a great fall, so great that it had also knocked the means of logging the cache out of sight. A bit of searching from Turtle and I, but alas no luck. The cache itself is a cool container, I hope to return to find it hidden in his original perch. But for now, thanks for the cache Sui!
#2159 As we approached GZ, DeadThief and I had our eyes scanning above. Then spotted the container amongst the grass having plummeted from its perch. Unfortunately the inner cache was no longer residing in its shell and a search of the area failed to uncover any further sign. Happy enough that we had saved ourselves a climb the cache needs a new log and replacement in its lair. Thanks Sui_001 for the cache!
[FTF] @ 1730hrs.
I saw the notification of this new cache yesterday, but only had the chance to come along and take a look this afternoon.
At GZ I was pleased to see a nice Plane tree - they can be a little dusty but otherwise always nice to climb! It took me a few minutes to spot the cache from ground level - normally I would just climb and look for the cache on the way up but I guess I was feeling lazy today!
Once spotted, I set a line, made the ascent and soon had the cache in hand. While signing the log I made a mental note to book a dental check-up - don't want to end up looking like this chap!
TFTC, Sui - another fun climb!
