Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. We headed out from Morisset with a plan to follow some Tourist drives and see some touristy sights around Lake Macquarie and try and incorporate a cache or 2. Wink This is the first time we have been to this area.We really enjoyed exploring the Tunnels, Lakes, Caves and Beaches. We saw boaties, surfers, kite surfers, fisher persons and even kangaroos too, but no whales today. [^]Wow so many kangaroos here! There was a couple of families watching the kangaroos, there must have been 20 they looked like they were close enough to touch!TFTC gotztogetit Cool

Found at 10:22 AM GAFF2.Had a late breakfast here just after a group of young mums left the picnic table. After a yummy breakfast of egg, bacon &, mayo sandwiches, we went over to search for the cache and thankfully spotted a bit of glint from the cache body, otherwise we would have been there for some time. Thanks to gotztogetit

Found after prob wayyyy too long a search than necessary. GPS was jumping around so made things a little tricky. Approached GZ from a different angle which helped a lot. Now, not sure if the container has dislodged, but it was covered in leaves. Replaced in the same spot but made it slightly more visible. Log signed.

We have travelled from Sydney's Northern Beaches to the Central Coast for a five day midweek holiday, staying at the Norah Head Holiday Park (caravan park) in Norah Head. Having already found most of the caches around Norah Head and the areas surrounding Tuggerah & Budgewoi Lakes on previous holiday visits, except for a few new ones and the odd DNF needing a visit/revisit, on this trip we will be concentrating our efforts in areas to the north of Lake Munmorah. Planning to explore areas around the southern & eastern shores of Lake Macquarie, including Wyee, Gwandalan, Doyalson North, Cams Wharf, Murrays Beach, Pinny Beach, Caves Beach, and Swansea. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today we are heading for home, with our holiday now over, but we still managed to find a few more caches before leaving the area. Visited Gwandalan, Kingfisher Shores, Doyalson North, Mannering Park, Wyee Point, Wyee, and finally Bushells Ridge before hitting the Motorway back to Sydney. This was the 6th of 11 finds for the day (day 5), and 55th find of the holiday. After filling up with cheap P95 petrol at Mannering Park this cache at Wyee Point was next, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. It's a nice little park here, with clean modern toilets, which we utilised before departure. TFTC JT1018.Find #6546

Sixth day of our trip and we have left the Rutherglen Mega and Sydney and now in Newcastle & Port Macquarie area, obviously. Lots of storms are about and it has made everything very wet and muddy, making geocaching harder.

But while in this area seeing some friends, we had to stop for a few geocaches, especially the 2001 geocache.

Lots of kids were enjoying themselves here and the Flying Fox.

Thanks for the cache Gotz to Get It

Had a quick look when I first arrived here, but couldn't see anything obvious and my lunch was getting cold, so after some food I came back and did a more thorough search. Success!

21-Sep-22
Feeling like a big cache run today, I quickly strung out about 20x caches to do as well as pickup some furniture at the end of the day. Found some old DNF's and collected or is that didn't collect a few more DNFs for a return one day. TFTC's and for once I had fun solving the Puzzles.
EasyFind today with a hint of color...

#9060 (8 of 10 today)

I am gradually catching up with my logging - am currently only a month and a bit behind. But that's still over 100 caches!

To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...

Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.

Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.

Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.
Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Headed north for an attempt on the *Be My Cachentine* series around Mannering Park. Maybe I should have left it for next February as I didn't get all the love I was hoping for. Still, I did snaffle ten finds today before heading back home.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Any cache specific comments will be added here.
If none, then it was a good cache and easily found.

Signed, replaced and away.

It was a great day to be out caching today the weather was perfect. This is a great park. I remember we had the HAVOC christmas party here a few years ago. I managed to get a park nearby as the park had a few muggles but there were none near GZ , where I made a quick find. I then went to go find the GA trig but after walking halfway across the field I realised I had left my car keys back at this cache, so I went back and I will get the trig another day. Thanks for the cache gotztogetit. tnln replaced as found sl

A quick park and grab at a very familiar park. We’ve visited this place for a number of caches over the years. TNLN TFTC

06-Apr-22
One of our favourite places to visit, although most of the bush tracks and caches have long gone. We took the walk around the kangaroo lawn and then the circuit down via the boat ramp, as it was busy around GZ with local nursing home people having a lunch out. As our walk ended we saw that the car park was now empty so we found and logged the cache. Thanks for bringing us here again and leaving a good hide nicely placed.
