We did a trip from Koroit to Port Fairy, which is such a lovely place. This cache was found quickly, which was good, as it was very hot.
There was no show on today - but did find one of these. Seen lots and this ones in great nick
Quick find here. No show today.Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Moon's day the fourteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit cooler today. It was so windy today. A few showers. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found It......A previous attempt here resulting in being muggled out due to the sheep dog trials being held now has been fixed. After a search that took waaaaaaay longer that it should have Mr H_3 had the prize in hand. So with the log signed we headed home. Thanks The Morris for the cache
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Travelling from Portland to Warrnambool for a few days to grab some of the local hides. Not much going on here today. Thanks for the hide LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are on the move again today, finding the odd cache along our route. TFTH. LNCU.
There was no one around but we were unsuccessful this time. Hopefully well find it next time
Thanks for the find, no muggles on a quiet cool Sunday was able to send the geo-kids for a burn off before heading off again cache in good health and was able to practice cache in trash out
Found this with gridge98 on our road trip to Victoria. We took the great ocean road to Warrnambool, then to Ballarat and Halls Gap. Fantastic trip away over 5 days. Thanks for the cache!
A quick find here today, cache is all goodcourtneyrose_ and I headed away to Victoria for a 5 day trip for me to partake in the Ballarat Marathon. Along the way we made our way to the great ocean road to explore the area, after both of us had not been there for many years. We then headed to Ballarat for 2 nights before heading to Halls Gap for a scenic experience for the night before making our way back to home to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache.
I had a quick look while on my way to a nearby pub for dinner without luck. Returning at about 8pm with a torch resulted in a quick find. Thanks to The Morris for the cache.
We were in Portland for a few days visiting dad and thought that we would break up the monopoly and head to Warrnambool to find some caches.Mrs Crackers was walking down the rail trail to finish off an Adventure Lab while Dad and I decided to try our luck at a couple of local caches while we waited. We pulled up near GZ and happily we were the only ones here so we were free to search. We started in the wrong location but once the GPS settled we were where we needed to be and we were pleased the cache did not take to long to find.We added our name to the log book and replaced every thing as it was. Many thanks The Morris for a cache Dad was able to walk around at.
Last cache for the day and this one took a while to spot.Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow and we can grab some more caches in the area and ride the rail trail.Thanks.
I am in areas now that I haven't been to. Found with Paddle Chick and Nanzie on our road trip to Adelaide for the mega
At this point every cache i find is the western most cache ive found. All logs are being signed as BT, N, PC or some variation of that to save space. TFTC The Morris#15166
PCNBT TEAM on our trip to join our other caching friends in Adelaide for the Event this was a nice easy find thanks The Morris
We think we tried to find it a couple of years ago but were unsuccessful. Better luck this time. Thanks.
I couldnt finish the morning bike ride with a dnf so I swung past the Showgrounds for one more. Took a bit to find as I was looking for a larger container but got there in the end. tftc
Hint: dont look too low and look for the bush that looks like someone has driven into it
On our travels we found ourselves in port fairy and took the opportunity to grab this cache, as the bush looks worse for wear we didnt hold our much hope, but soon enough geo hubby said the words, found it, thanks for placing this cache
Found on a windy overcast day!! Come to think about it, I've never visited Port Fairy when the weather is good..... Does it get good here ?? :pSuch a beautiful town and happy that it is now part of my region for work. It means more visits for me .Cache is in good order here! Thanks for the hide
This one took us way longer than it should have.. got there in the end. TFTC
Found with hevwalker during our 4 day stay at Warrnambool. Started looking and wasn't having much luck but after after changing sides and going to move some shrubby, the sneaky cache just appeared in front of me. TFTC
scramping & I were visiting Warrnambool for a 4-day long weekend. This afternoon was the perfect weather to travel to Port Fairy to collect a few caches. We found the cache and it is still good but the tree looks a bit worse for wear. It looks like someone has driven into it.TFTC The Morris
Probably our last Port Fairy find as we're heading back to Geelong tomorrow. Luckily it was all quiet at the showgrounds, as it took us quite a while and a few laps of the GZ to find the cache container. Eventually was spotted by the eldest DuckNomNom kid, signed by DideeNZ and myself, and returned. Thanks for the cache, The Morris.
Yay another smiley face! One of my closer family members recently bought a holiday house not to far away and although I have been to port fairy I have never had a premium membership. I decided it was finally time to get the caches around the area. Thanks for starting off my getaway well. Back home I go and then as it gets dark I am going to explore the ad lab in the cemetery. Spooky...
Arrived at the front gate only to be met with the local sheepdog trials being held. And with the pen for the sheep being 4mts from GZ we decided to leave this for next time
Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Two: Millicent to Corio and the big red boat.
Weather: sensational!
Every time I see a Showgrounds in a smaller country town now I think: mega! I don’t know where all the various Victorian megas pre 2019 were held, but if one was held around here, I’d do my utmost to return.
I had to make my moves between orbits of the lawnmower guy, but not too long before I was back on the road.
Thanks again The Morris.
It’s officially a mega.

Traveling across Western Victoria to go and collect some of the caches around Millicent that we worked on, but never collected. Williamstown to Portland today.
I was sure this one would be closer to the water trough, but not according to the GPSr.
Looked a bit low for this one so it took a bit longer than it should.
Thanks, Robmc.

Down here for the week so the wife and I are taking the opportunity to grab a few cache’s. TFTC
Took some backup for this one on Easter Sunday after a big breakfast and a couple of laps of the showgrounds.
Located dry and intact. Cheers

We were staying in Port Fairy for a week with the geobeagles so had plenty of time to look for some local caches and do a few Ad Labs. We had lunch in town and then dropped by this cache afterwards. We parked in the carpark near the entrance and wandered over to GZ. Nobody around today being a weekday and drizzling intermittently all day, although the drizzle had now eased. After a 360° rotation of GZ we spotted the shiny cache when looking from the right direction. We signed the log at 3:10 pm and then took the beagles for walkies around the oval. TNLN.
Thanks The Morris for this well-hidden cache. After their walk the geobeagles were going to have a drink from the nearby horse trough but there was no water in it (see accompanying photo).

Cache found and log signed with dalerious .
Enjoying the drive to Millicent and beyond, this cache ticked off another LGA .
Thank you The Morris, your cache was found safe and well.
The long weekend in Victoria had us planning a trip to Mount Kosciuszko, but there was no available accommodation in Jindabyne, so that plan was thwarted. Our South Australia and Western Victoria trip was then brought forward very quickly, and a plan was hatched that had a complete and varied list of things we were looking to achieve. It was tentative, as the list kept growing exponentially as it tends to do with us .
The map that we created with the caches we were hunting was broad, and a lot of miles were travelled to find them, but we are definitely not complaining.
The country we drove through was spectacular .
We left Tatura early Friday morning, not sure how much we could achieve before heading to Millicent to our booked accommodation, and then onto Adelaide after that.
We still can't believe that we found almost every cache on that extensive list. We even got to attend a CITO in Adelaide. How cool was that.
We had an awesome 4 days away enjoying this beautiful country of ours.

Home again, Home again Jiggity Jig.
Now comes the big job of logging all our accomplishments.
Our extra long weekend adventure revolved around my partner catnap777 and I making it to a CITO in Adelaide, caching our way there and back through as many counties new to us as possible. We also targeted challenge caches and anything that would help us qualify for them.
Leaving Tatura early Friday morning, we followed the coast up from Warnambool to stay in Millicent that night, Adelaide on Saturday, and back through the guts to Edenhope Sunday night to be back home for rostered work 3:00pm on Monday.
All up we picked up over 100 very targeted caches including this trad, our first and only cach found in Port Fairy. [^]
TFTC The Morris. We see you have been very busy placing caches since leaving our neck of the woods. We look forward to one day finding a lot more of them. [:X]
Cache found in good condition.

This was a fun little hunt, and I loved ready jog about the history of the show. Tftc.
Day 3 of my road trip through the south west of Victoria was coming to a close... after a day out to Portland and the surrounding area I was heading back to Warrnambool for the night.
Now back in Moyne Shire, I still needed more 's so I could tick it off for the *12 Circuits of Victoria Challenge*... so I wasn't going to miss the opportunity of some finds along the highway... or slightly off it as the case maybe.
A quick visit to the showgrounds soon revealed the goods... thanks to **The Morris** for putting this cache here.

Found on our travels through the area, heading from Portland to Warrnambool today. Took a couple minutes until I spotted it hiding in the shade. Signed log and left as found.
Find #5175 on 1 Feb 2023.

Quick and simple find with just one eye-poke. That’s a win by dads standards. Tftc
No one camped here over this week. Bit of a search, good camo though, found it in the end. Camping at the park up the road, enjoying the sun and the beach daily. TFTC
26 December 2022 2:55 pm, A quick swing by after visiting family for Xmas. TfTc
Between events, nice one to stop and see where the famous Folk Festival happens. Took a while to get the caching eyes working, then it became so obvious, glad I had no witnesses!

Finally with winter seeming to be in retreat, we were lucky enough to have a couple of days caching in south western Victoria.
This one took way longer than it should have, we were about to give in; then of course it was in the first place we looked!
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** We noticed the container had lost a washer, the log had almost disintegrated, we were able to leave an emergency log.
Thanks to The Morris for adding this cache to the gameboard.

On our way to Portland for an event and catchup with good friends, we stopped in Port Fairy to find a few new caches placed since we were last through. Chook reckons she might have ridden at a show here many years ago, but the memory is a bit rusty nowadays. Cache spotted quickly and all in good nick.

While making our way to Warrnambool we have found a few more in the area and this was one of them.
After reading previous logs we then made a quick find. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

On way home from my niece’s wedding from the weekend. Today was from Apollo Bay to Portland ,which included a couple adventure labs on the way. Lay eyes on it eventually when I look up a bit. Tftc
With all the times we had visited Port Fairy we had never explored this side of the highway so the showgrounds were new to us. On approach we grimaced as it looked like there was a horse show getting set up for the weekend. Luckily we were able to sneak in and sign the cache quickly without arousing any attention from the horsey people further up the track.
Thanks The Morris for bringing us here with this cache placement.

Took longer to find as the mozzies were in full attack mode on a wet and windy weekend exploring the Warnambool area on Melbourne Cup weekend 22 while most of the state was Flooding. Tftc
Thank you The Morris. Down from your old stamping ground. Nice trip out to see the show grounds. Few muggles about but we’re at a safe distance to make the find.
Nearly forgot to log this one!!! Was staying here for a couple of days - what a beautiful part of the world. Had a muggle dog take interest what I was doing but able to retrieve and sign log. TFTC
