Walked around wondering where it would be then spotted it! Great hide and history lesson!
Today was another quite long day from Gisborne to Tirau - but the roads were in better conditions We went in the morning up on that hill but we were not very succesful with most of the caches. This one was the only one which we could find. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.Happy hunting!TFTCschnuckel1[#24233]
Today we had a good drive / wander round the town and picked up several caches - trads, puzzles we had solved and a few multis worked on today too.We weren't alone at GZ though it wasn't long before the Muggle left so we were free to search : cache found in first place we looked Log signed and all returned FP for the views - great locationTFTCTim and Viv - ddm
**#19,794**Mrs Geckoh drove almost right to GZ to wait for Mr Geckoh to come here from the Restoration cache, the idea was she would find this one but there was a bit of a battle going on in the carpark that kept her amused. Let's just say a couple of guys had consumed "too many Christmas Beersies" and were up for a fight. Mrs Geckoh was the only winner for her amusement, by the time Mr Geckoh got there they had both walked off in a huff and he could go in for the find.TNLN TFTC!
With a break in family activities and daylight to help us TPK, 13thBattleAxe, SuaineAlien and myself came to try and find the rest of the caches here on Titirangi. With some experience under our belts now we quickly located the cache and signed log. Tftc
Easily found as there are not so many places to hide a cache. The coordinates and the hint are precise. Many bugs but no muggles at 7am.
A very nice view !

Replaced this cache following Cyclone Gabrielle, now all ready to found again
This is my fourth geocaching excursion to **beautiful New Zealand**!
Due to Covid [xx(] I had to wait for 3 long years to again return to my beloved [:X] Middle-Earth.
This time its a road trip enduring for 26 days, covering both North- and South-Island.
Today was dedicated to collect some smileys in order to complete two challenges :
1. **'NZ 400 minutes longitude challenge'** (https://coord.info/GC7YQZ8)
2. **'"Don't Leave Home" NZ Counties Challenge'** (https://coord.info/GC9C4M0)
This geo-treasure contributed to the mission and to the finds of today. Cool! [^]
Another great hide with an awesome view (at good wheather-conditions)
A big thanks [:X] to the owner Rubbishparty for hiding and maintaining this cache [^] - and best regards from Germany !

Summer Geocaching Road Trip - Day 4 - In and around Gisborne. It's been a while since I've been off on a road trip and this one has been on the cards for quite a while. I plan to visit some parts of the country where I've done very little caching before and hope to complete the qualification for a challenge cache in Nelson. An interesting piece of history here. And a nicely hidden cache. TFTC, Biggles.
A really interesting piece of history.
Quite a few potential hiding places but located after a short search.

Checked and couldn’t find it. Strange as it’s only recently been found.

A nice quick find. Views from the top were magic this afternoon. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Today we cruised from Napier to Gisborne The weather was fine but humid!

Another cache on the route whilst walking in the rain. Interesting history re the gun emplacement and the dedication of those that manned it in very trying conditions.
Found by Naia. Took me a good 15 mins. Thanks for taking the time to set it up. Signed. Didn’t take or leave anything. Quick snap before leaving.
Found with PositiveTuna. Sneaky hiding place for this magnetic cache. And a lovely view of the bay which we had to include in the pic of our cache find
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
Found with Fisha1288
Nice non dangerous CROCKS
Cheers, Cympull.

As we approached this area I said to GK if it were me I would hide the cache ... so we went to check it out and sure enough there was the cache.
We are delighted that there are so many newly released caches around Gisborne as we needed to find quite a few today to fulfill a challenge cache in Nelson, so these are perfect timing for our goal.
After finding this one we sat nearby and had lunch while overlooking the ocean. It is a popular spot with loads of people walking past and a few driving around and parking up here to enjoy the views.
Thanks for placing this (and the others) and thank you for another smiley
