This cache is not yet two years old and Im wondering how much change it has already seen. If you face in the appropriate direction, you can still get a rural feel here, but probably not for much longer. Thanks for the cache Chookster.
Out today for some new year caches and thought this one very appropriate, out with the OLD year and in with the NEW year. log a little damp but still writable . TYFTC
Something special or unusual goes here:Another nice quick find in the obvious spot. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday trek delayed due to a thunderstorm Time then for another Wednesday wander around the Hills near my home instead. S.A. Sewer Rats and Ttrogg picked me up from home and off we went in search of some solved puzzles and any other caches we came across. Another fun day with me able to do maintenance on 7 caches of mine as one or both of the others found them.**SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks Chookster for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Tuesday trekking turned into a Wednesday wander for a trio of Confused Puzzlers. The plan was for ttrogg to pick up the Rat from the Rat's nest.We then drove up to pick up the Starfish from his abode.Today's plan was to cache around the hills. This was a quick find for us today. Tftc
Today Courtneyrose_ and I headed to the hills for Parkrun at Mount Barker, after parkrun we drove around the area to find a few unfound caches.Quick find here, cache is all good. Thanks for the cache
Couldn't find it, but I'm new to this. There was a very suspicious new pen laying on the ground nearby so it's possible it has been yeeted.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 51. Mid North section of SA trip Day 22. Mount Barker 2. Today and yesterday and tomorrow are really transitional to me getting to Mildura in time to do the Paddle Steamer with friends from Canberra. I journeyed to a spot about 35km South of Loxton near a location called Veitch via Murray Bridge an Karoonda for lunch. Before I left I spent an hour or so near Mount Barker having a final go at a few multis with difficulties and other local caches. The rain started while I was out and did not let up for the rest of the day. As I traveled, I did manage to stop a few times, getting wetter all the time, but I was keen to find some caches. At the final stop for the day I found a remote patch of roadside rest area and sat quietly till it was time to leave the next day.
Thanks for the cache Chookster

We drove the whole length of Fidlers Lane - the spread of suburbia is really evident, especially on the cheaper low laying land. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find although the hint was not accurate. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Chookster for the cache.
Nice work on this one chookster. I managed to come down the road and past all the building works, and ventured through the small creek. Its passable, but probably should have come from the other direction. I made it, and managed to find the cache without too much issue. Found, signed and returned as found. Find #8110 at 7.09pm
Checked on this for Chookster after the last log, as this one has a habit of vanishing. It's still there, dry and in excellent condition after the recent rain.
Searched with my family for a solid 15 minutes, the location was completely different to what the hint suggested.
I'm not sure if it is still there?
TFTC though

Quickly found once Chookster told me he'd replaced it, followed by a pleasant meander down a road that I hope they leave alone, on a perfect sunny morning.
TFTC Chookster!

Quickly checked this cache on the way home from Goolwa as naughtybunny mentioned it was missing and sure enough, it was. Sorry everyone. I'll make up a new container and hide it better in the vicinity. Chookster.
First attempt at caching after knee replacement.
Just managed.

A cache finding and maintenance attending afternoon with my friend.
WOW!!! Mt Barker is certainly growing. The beautiful green pasture is being taken over by housing. When will this stop? We did notice some cows in the paddock, they seemed happy enough, for now.
Thanks for placing the cache Chookster

I was coming up to Mt Barker for an evening event so thought I would come early to get a few caches on the way. [^]
A bumpy track to get to this one and wow there is a lot going on. Mount Barker is sure spreading. Was very wary of walking through the long grass, but made plenty of noise and didn't spot any wildlife. Cache found and log stamped.

The three of us were heading home from Victor Harbor, and we stopped here to find this one. Certainly a contrast on one side on the lane to the other. Mr Tardis regularly takes these back roads on his motorbike on weekend rides.
Just as we were leaving, a muggle turned up to photograph the steam train, which was due in 10 minutes.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Chookster.

So sad to see the natural landscape being taken over by urban living.
Found with CPwanderer just as it started to rain.

Soon there will be houses everywhere. Like a plague in the bush. What bush? It is all gone.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

As a local, very saddened to see the natural landscape and prime agricultural land being converted to cement and fake grass. Enjoyed the drive down the old country lane though. Thanks for the cache chookster!
Found with The X-Trailers after doing a maintenance run. Cache all ok but phone wanted 6mtrs away. Hoped for a train but not today.

This was one of a few found while out looking today. Only a few because most of the targeted trads were going to required some walking. To make sure I didn't get home too early any of the nice Game, Set and Match series I came close to would be looked for. Unfortunately two of the desired trads had to be DNF'd but did find a couple of puzzles to make up.
It was just getting dark when I arrived but the hint made it a nice quick find,
Thanks to Chookster for putting out this cache for us all to find.

Searching for caches to do and a new one popped up. Questionably decided to drive out there. One day such a decision will haunt me. Today wasn't it thankfully.
Searched around and found the hide, then continued on the street. Incredible just how much this has changed even in the last few years, but that train line and farms keep my country living hopes alive!
