A double dose of 'REALLY' today.... 1) REALLY Side Tracked Cache found and 2) REALLY Gross fish remains . An unusual spot for a buried fish, the things you see whilst cachingThanks dat87Trackables - Lucy's Premium Member Geocoin #3 (TB94Q0Y) and A witch who wants to see the world (TBAEJQ7) are just visiting.
Just picking out a few of the many caching options around Cairns, together with ilook4geo. We love finding SideTracked caches to add to our tally. We had no problem in finding this one and both names were soon added to the log. Thanks for this cache placement go to dat87.
Happy to have a caching day with goingplaces2 (in between rain showers). We found a mix of types and a variety of containers. Each one had both names noted on the log to record our visit. All was in good order here. TFTC.
566 finds 9:59am 5/1/2024Townsville isnt known for its sidetracked caches besides for 1 which after a struggle with opening hours and a storm I could claim the FtF on. Lucky cairns has a few and this is just another one that I can add to the tallyThank you dat87 for your Traditional REALLY SideTracked - Redlynch and providing back to the community and getting me out of the house and caching.TFTC dat87
TFTC. Nice quick find. Enjoyed the drive through the suburbs with the rainforest in the distance. Thanks Dat87 for placing this cache
We were not sure which side of the tracks to approach from as we assumed that the rail line like the station was disused whoops! 30 seconds after we walked across them the train came into view eek. All the nice passengers waived to us and the Japanese tourists took our photos

Departed Melbourne the other day and travelling north for the winter, well, for the northern warmth actually (hopefully ), passing through as many small towns as I can grabbing the odd cache here and there as I travel. Leaving Undara Experience Park this morning for the last part of the first stage of the trip to Cairns, a few days before the misses flys in Then the next stage of the trip begins, Cape York! But first, a few days in Cairns looking around and geocaching
A nice quick find today.
**Thanks for placing this cache dat87**

Cairns Dive Trip Day 7. Rest Day 2. Having completed the first of two dive boat trips, I spent the day with Kitty Katch and Grimraider doing a few caches around Cairns. We started with breakfast at Smitten Granny's Granddaughter's cafe and went on from there. The day ended with a meal with Joolay's sister, so along with caching we actually managed quite a bot of socialising as well.
Having tried for some caches that have caused me problems in the pats, the next few were relatively simple short walks in bushy Cairns locations. Nice to get some of the new caches here today.
Thanks for the cache dat87

Again another nice sidetracked cache. This is number 11 in my collection. The way to GZ felt a little like trespassing, but the gates were open. After using a natural tool to extract the cache I was able to add my name. Thanks for creating this one.
Hello again far north QLD! It is great to be again up North after some previous visits in the recent months. Of course this means getting a few more caches I am keen to grab since some time or that are simply in stunning locations. Thank you very much dat87 for creating and placing REALLY SideTracked - Redlynch. It certainly was once again an amazing trip which brought me to great caches and vistas!

How to get there? Ah there's an unlocked gate leading up and behind the station. Easy find in the obvious spot and all good.

This was a really good one! Especially for my first micro! Tftc! (By the way if your GPS was weird like mine, it's close to the side with the pile of metal and wood)
Great hide. Watched a train go past after we got it out using a couple of sticks. Tnx.
Out looking for the first to find just down the road and took the time to grab this one as well, good coordinates for a quick find, container eased out of its hidey hole and returned as found, thanks for adding to the side tracked series and

Took me a while to get the cache out, it was really jammed in. And while I was signing it the train went past! I waited for the train and it's curious passengers to leave before hiding the cache. Tftc
We were visiting the area this afternoon and thought that we would stop to see if we could locate this hide. Plenty of safe parking and from there only a short walk to the GZ.
Found the hide easily enough but had to use an improvised tool to assist with extracting the container. Added our name to the logsheet.
Thanks dat87 for placing and maintaining this hide, along with the history of Redlynch Station.

Mr CNQ is up in Cairns for a few days collecting mostly earth and puzzle caches, but managed to stop near this one this afternoon. Took a little while to work out the best approach, but quick find, thanks for the cache dat87.
Not what I was expecting.. a little explore and I soon had Cache in hand..liking this series thanks for bringing me out here.. tyftc
Off to Redlynch for another SideTracked 89 for me. The only challenge was to locate the correct side of the line so got a bit of extra exercise.
Have a favouite from me and thanks again dat87

Found easily yesterday but needed a TOTT to extract the cache from its hiding place, came back today and extracted and signed log. Tftc
Home in Cairns now for a couple of months after 10months tripping around Australia. Attended Qogm in Cunnamulla and mega in Townsville great trip. Did your REALLY SideTracked - Redlynch today. 15 July 2022 6:06 pm Tyfc dat87 total caches now 4874 .
Checked on this cache today. Esoenarz log has been deleted as they did not sign the log. Otherwise, everything is in order with this cache. Happy caching!
SideTracked find 95.
Staying in Redlynch for my visit to Cairns, this cache was my first find today.
When I saw where it likely was, I grabbed a boost to take with me, but it wasn't needed. Good coordinates. I spotted the cache immediately on arrival at GZ, but then it took ages to extract the cache. Tricky thing. Cache and log are good. TFTC dat87.

Up in Cairns for the night to watch UK band Gomez. I’d hoped the FTF might have lasted til tonight but it wasn’t to be. I had a little trouble extracting the container from its hidey hole as the train honked it’s way past.
Thanks dat87 for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

FTF! Just about to take geodog for her arvo walk when spotted another of Dat87’s excellent SideTracked series caches pop up. Cache was in a great location, without any prying eyes, making log signing easy. Thanks for the find guys. Great to see yet another traditional populating the map in this area.
Not quite so free of prying eyes during business hours I fear. Hopefully none were too interested in another random person with their nose buried in their phone. Cache found easily, retrieving, then retrieving my pen took a bit longer. Good to see more railway stations immortalized in this way, TFTC 0
